The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

Akik fehér szamarakon nyargaltok, akik szőnyegeken ültök, és akik úton vagytok: mind énekeljetek!

Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.

Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.

Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.

Why did you sit still among the sheepfolds, to hear the whistling for the flocks? Among the clans of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.

Gileád a Jordánon túl maradt. Hát Dán miért időzik hajóinál? Ásér ülve nyugszik a tenger partján.

Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches.

Galaadul de dincolo de Iordan nu şi-a părăsit locuinţa. Pentru ce a stat Dan pe corăbii? Aşer a stat pe malul mării şi s-a odihnit în limanurile lui.

Gilead stayed beyond the Jordan; and Dan, why did he stay with the ships? Asher sat still at the coast of the sea, staying by his landings.

De Zebulon, az halálra elszánt lelkű nép, meg Naftáli is a mezőség magaslatain!

Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field.

A mennyből harcoltak a csillagok, pályájukról harcoltak Siserával!

They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

From heaven the stars fought, from their courses they fought against Sisera.

A Kísón patakja elsodorta őket, az ősi patak, Kísón patakja! Végy erőt, én lelkem!

The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength.

“Curse Meroz, says the angel of the LORD, curse its inhabitants thoroughly, because they did not come to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

De minden asszonynál áldottabb Jáél, a kéni Heber felesége, minden sátorban lakó nőnél áldottabb legyen.

De áldott legyen az asszonyok felett Jáhel, A Keneus Héber felesége, A sátorban [lakó] nők felett legyen áldott!

Vizet kértek tőle, s ő tejet adott, díszes csészében tejszínt hozott.

He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.

Baljával a sátorcövekért, jobbjával pedig a munkások pörölyéért nyúlt. Ütötte Siserát, szétzúzta a fejét, összetörte, átfúrta halántékát.

She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.

Cu o mână a luat ţăruşul, şi cu dreapta ciocanul lucrătorilor, a lovit pe Sisera, i-a despicat capul, I-a sfărâmat şi străpuns tâmpla.

She sent her hand to the tent peg and her right hand to the workmen’s mallet; she struck Sisera; she crushed his head; she shattered and pierced his temple.

Kinézett az ablakon, és jajgatott Sisera anyja a rostély mögül: Miért késik megjönni harci szekere? Kocsigördülése hol késlekedik?

Kinézett az ablakon, és jajgatott Siserának anyja a rostélyzat mögül: "Miért késik megjőni szekere? Hol késlekednek kocsijának gördülései?"

The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?

Pe fereastră, prin zăbrele, se uită mama lui Sisera şi strigă: „Pentru ce zăboveşte carul lui să vină? Pentru ce vin carele lui aşa de încet?”

“Out of the window she peered, the mother of Sisera wailed through the lattice: ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the hoofbeats of his chariots?’

Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,

Cele mai înţelepte dintre femeile ei îi răspund şi ea îşi răspunde singură:

Her wisest princesses answer, indeed, she answers herself,

Talán zsákmányra leltek, és most azon osztozkodnak? Egy-két rabnő is jut minden férfinak, a festett kelmék Sisera zsákmányai lesznek, a tarka szövetek, tarkán hímzett öltözetek, egy színes kendő, két tarka ruha jut a nyakukba zsákmányul.

"Vajjon nem zsákmányra találtak-é, s mostan osztozkodnak? Egy-két leányt minden férfiúnak; A festett kelmék zsákmányát Siserának; Tarka szövetek zsákmányát, tarkán hímzett öltözeteket, Egy színes kendőt, két tarka ruhát nyakamra, mint zsákmányt."

Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?

„Negreşit, au găsit pradă! Şi-o împart: o fată, două fete de fiecare om; pradă de haine vopsite pentru Sisera; pradă de haine vopsite, cusute la gherghef, două haine vopsite şi cusute la gherghef, de pus pe grumazul biruitorului!”

‘Have they not found and divided the spoil?— A womb or two for every man; spoil of dyed materials for Sisera, spoil of dyed materials embroidered, two pieces of dyed work embroidered for the neck as spoil?’

Így vesszen el minden ellenséged, URam! De akik szeretnek téged, tündököljenek, mint a kelő nap a maga erejében! És megnyugodott a föld negyven esztendeig.

Így veszszenek el minden te ellenségid, Uram! De a kik téged szeretnek, [tündököljenek] mint a kelő nap az ő erejében! És megnyugovék a föld negyven esztendeig.

So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

Aşa să piară toţi vrăjmaşii Tăi, Doamne! Dar cei ce-L iubesc sunt ca soarele, când se arată în puterea lui.” Ţara a avut odihnă patruzeci de ani.

“So may all your enemies perish, O LORD! But your friends be like the sun as he rises in his might.” And the land had rest for forty years.
