Józsué halála után megkérdezték Izráel fiai az URat: Melyikünk menjen elsőnek a kánaániakra, hogy harcoljon ellenük?

És lőn Józsué halála után, hogy megkérdék az Izráel fiai az Urat, mondván: Ki menjen legelőször közülünk a Kananeusra, hogy hadakozzék ő ellene?

Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?

După moartea lui Iosua, copiii lui Israel au întrebat pe Domnul şi au zis: „Cine dintre noi să se suie întâi împotriva canaaniţilor ca să pornească lupta cu ei?”

After the death of Joshua, the people of Israel inquired of the LORD, “Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites, to fight against them?”

Az ÚR ezt mondta: Júda menjen! Íme, a kezébe adtam azt a földet.

És monda az Úr: Júda menjen! Ímé az ő kezébe adtam [azt] a földet.

And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.

Domnul a răspuns: „Iuda să se suie; iată că am dat ţara în mâinile lui.”

The LORD said, “Judah shall go up; behold, I have given the land into his hand.”

Ekkor azt mondta Júda a testvérének, Simeonnak: Gyere velem együtt a nekem sorsvetés által jutott örökségbe, hogy harcoljunk a kánaániak ellen, és én is elmegyek majd veled a neked sorsvetés által jutott örökségbe. És Simeon elment vele.

Ekkor monda Júda az ő atyjafiának Simeonnak: Jer velem együtt a nékem sors által jutott örökségbe, hogy hadakozzunk a Kananeus ellen, és én is elmegyek veled a néked sors által jutott örökségbe. És Simeon elméne vele.

And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.

Şi Iuda a zis fratelui său Simeon: „Suie-te împreună cu mine în ţara care mi-a căzut la sorţi şi să luptăm împotriva canaaniţilor; şi voi merge şi eu cu tine în ţara care ţi-a căzut la sorţi.” Şi Simeon s-a dus cu el.

And Judah said to Simeon his brother, “Come up with me into the territory allotted to me, that we may fight against the Canaanites. And I likewise will go with you into the territory allotted to you.” So Simeon went with him.

Akkor fölvonult Júda, és kezükbe adta az ÚR a kánaániakat és a perizzieket; és tízezer embert vágtak le közülük Bezekben.

And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand: and they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.

Iuda s-a suit, şi Domnul a dat pe canaaniţi şi pe fereziţi în mâinile lor; au ucis zece mii de oameni la Bezec.

Then Judah went up and the LORD gave the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand, and they defeated 10,000 of them at Bezek.

And they found Adonibezek in Bezek: and they fought against him, and they slew the Canaanites and the Perizzites.

They found Adoni-bezek at Bezek and fought against him and defeated the Canaanites and the Perizzites.

But Adonibezek fled; and they pursued after him, and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his great toes.

Ekkor azt mondta Adóníbezek: Hetven király szedegetett morzsákat az asztalom alatt, akiknek levágattam kezük és lábuk hüvelykujjait. Aszerint fizetett nekem Isten, ahogy én cselekedtem. Azután elvitték Jeruzsálembe, és ott halt meg.

Ekkor monda Adonibézek: Hetven király szedeget vala asztalom alatt, a kiknek elvágattam kezeik és lábaik hüvelykujjait; a mint én cselekedtem, úgy fizetett nékem az Isten. Azután elvivék őt Jeruzsálembe, és ott meghala.

And Adonibezek said, Threescore and ten kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered their meat under my table: as I have done, so God hath requited me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.

Adoni-Bezec a zis: „Şaptezeci de împăraţi, cu degetele cele mari de la mâini şi de la picioare tăiate, strângeau mâncare sub masa mea; Dumnezeu îmi răsplăteşte şi mie cum am făcut.” L-au dus la Ierusalim şi a murit acolo.

And Adoni-bezek said, “Seventy kings with their thumbs and their big toes cut off used to pick up scraps under my table. As I have done, so God has repaid me.” And they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

Now the children of Judah had fought against Jerusalem, and had taken it, and smitten it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on fire.

Fiii lui Iuda au pornit lupta împotriva Ierusalimului şi l-au luat; l-au trecut prin ascuţişul sabiei şi au dat foc cetăţii.

And the men of Judah fought against Jerusalem and captured it and struck it with the edge of the sword and set the city on fire.

Azután pedig lementek Júda fiai, hogy a hegyvidéken, a déli tartományban és a síkságon lakó kánaániak ellen harcoljanak.

Azután pedig alámenének a Júda fiai, hogy harczoljanak a hegységen, a déli tartományban és a lapályon lakó Kananeus ellen.

And afterward the children of Judah went down to fight against the Canaanites, that dwelt in the mountain, and in the south, and in the valley.

Fiii lui Iuda s-au coborât apoi ca să bată pe canaaniţi, care locuiau muntele, ţinutul de miazăzi şi câmpia.

And afterward the men of Judah went down to fight against the Canaanites who lived in the hill country, in the Negeb, and in the lowland.

Majd a Hebrónban lakó kánaániak ellen ment Júda. Hebrón neve azelőtt Kirjat-Arba volt. És megverték Sésajt, Ahímant és Talmajt.

És elment Júda a Hebronban lakó Kananeus ellen, - Hebron neve azelőtt Kirjáth-Arba volt, - és megverték Sésait, Achimánt és Thalmáit.

And Judah went against the Canaanites that dwelt in Hebron: (now the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba:) and they slew Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai.

Iuda a pornit împotriva canaaniţilor care locuiau la Hebron, numit mai înainte Chiriat-Arba; şi a bătut pe Şeşai, pe Ahiman şi Talmai.

And Judah went against the Canaanites who lived in Hebron (now the name of Hebron was formerly Kiriath-arba), and they defeated Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai.

Onnan Debír lakói ellen ment. Debír neve azelőtt KirjatSzéfer volt.

And from thence he went against the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher:

De acolo a pornit împotriva locuitorilor Debirului: Debirul se numea mai înainte Chiriat-Sefer.

From there they went against the inhabitants of Debir. The name of Debir was formerly Kiriath-sepher.

Ekkor azt mondta Káléb: Aki megveri és elfoglalja Kirjat-Széfert, annak feleségül adom leányomat, Akszát.

És monda Káleb: A ki Kirjáth-Széfert megveri és elfoglalja, annak feleségül adom az én leányomat, Akszát.

And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjathsepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

Caleb a zis: „Voi da pe fiica mea, Acsa, de nevastă cui va bate Chiriat-Seferul şi-l va lua.”

And Caleb said, “He who attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give him Achsah my daughter as wife.”

And Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.

And Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother, captured it. And he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife.

Amikor az asszony hozzáment, a férje biztatta, hogy kérjen mezőt az apjától. Amikor leszállt a szamárról, Káléb megkérdezte: Mit akarsz?

És lőn, hogy a mikor eljöve az, biztatá őt, hogy kérjen mezőt az ő atyjától. Leszálla azért a szamárról, Káleb pedig monda néki: Mi bajod van?

And it came to pass, when she came to him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted from off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wilt thou?

Când a intrat ea la Otniel, l-a îndemnat să ceară un ogor de la tatăl ei. Ea s-a coborât de pe măgar; şi Caleb i-a zis: „Ce vrei?”

When she came to him, she urged him to ask her father for a field. And she dismounted from her donkey, and Caleb said to her, “What do you want?”

Ő pedig ezt felelte: Adj nekem valamit áldásul! A száraz Délvidékre helyeztél engem, adj hát vízforrásokat is! Erre Káléb neki adta a felső forrásokat és az alsó forrásokat.

Ő pedig monda néki: Adj áldást nékem: mert déli vidékre helyheztettél engem, adj most vízforrásokat is. És néki adá Káleb a felső forrást és az alsó forrást.

And she said unto him, Give me a blessing: for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the nether springs.

Ea i-a răspuns: „Dă-mi un dar, căci mi-ai dat un pământ secetos; dă-mi şi izvoare de apă.” Şi Caleb i-a dat Izvoarele de sus şi iIzvoarele de jos.

She said to him, “Give me a blessing. Since you have given me the land of the Negeb, give me also springs of water.” And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.

Kéninek, Mózes apósának a fiai is fölmentek a pálmák városából Júda fiaival a Júda pusztájába, amely a Délvidéken van Arádnál, és ott telepedtek le a néppel együtt.

And the children of the Kenite, Moses' father in law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which lieth in the south of Arad; and they went and dwelt among the people.

And the descendants of the Kenite, Moses’ father-in-law, went up with the people of Judah from the city of palms into the wilderness of Judah, which lies in the Negeb near Arad, and they went and settled with the people.

And Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they defeated the Canaanites who inhabited Zephath and devoted it to destruction. So the name of the city was called Hormah.

Azután elfoglalta Júda Gázát és határát, Askelónt és határát, Ekrónt és annak határát.

Also Judah took Gaza with the coast thereof, and Askelon with the coast thereof, and Ekron with the coast thereof.

Judah also captured Gaza with its territory, and Ashkelon with its territory, and Ekron with its territory.

Az ÚR Júdával volt, és kiűzte a hegyvidék lakóit. De a völgy lakóit nem lehetett kiűzni, mert vasszekereik voltak.

Vala pedig az Úr Júdával, és kiűzé a hegység [lakóit]; de a völgy lakóit nem lehetett kiűzni, mert vas-szekereik voltak.

And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

Domnul a fost cu Iuda; şi Iuda a pus stăpânire pe munte, dar n-a putut să izgonească pe locuitorii din câmpie, pentru că aveau care de fier.

And the LORD was with Judah, and he took possession of the hill country, but he could not drive out the inhabitants of the plain because they had chariots of iron.

Hebrónt Kálébnak adták, ahogy meghagyta Mózes, és kiűzte onnan Anák három fiát.

And they gave Hebron unto Caleb, as Moses said: and he expelled thence the three sons of Anak.

Au dat Hebronul lui Caleb, cum spusese Moise; şi el a izgonit de-acolo pe cei trei fii ai lui Anac.

And Hebron was given to Caleb, as Moses had said. And he drove out from it the three sons of Anak.

De a jebúsziakat, Jeruzsálem lakóit nem űzték el Benjámin fiai, ezért laknak a jebúsziak Benjámin fiaival Jeruzsálemben még ma is.

De a Jebuzeust, Jeruzsálemnek lakóját nem űzték el a Benjámin fiai, és ezért lakik a Jebuzeus a Benjámin fiaival Jeruzsálemben még máig is.

And the children of Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites that inhabited Jerusalem; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem unto this day.

But the people of Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites who lived in Jerusalem, so the Jebusites have lived with the people of Benjamin in Jerusalem to this day.

Fölvonult József háza is Bétel ellen, és az ÚR vele volt.

És felméne a József háza is, Béthel ellen, és az Úr volt ő vele.

And the house of Joseph, they also went up against Bethel: and the LORD was with them.

Casa lui Iosif s-a suit şi ea împotriva Betelului, şi Domnul a fost cu ei.

The house of Joseph also went up against Bethel, and the LORD was with them.

József háza kikémleltette Bételt. A város neve régen Lúz volt.

És kikémlelteté a József háza Béthelt. A város neve pedig régenten Lúz volt.

And the house of Joseph sent to descry Bethel. (Now the name of the city before was Luz.)

Cei din casa lui Iosif au iscodit Betelul, care mai înainte se chema Luz.

And the house of Joseph scouted out Bethel. (Now the name of the city was formerly Luz.)

A kémek megláttak egy férfit, aki a városból jött, és azt mondták neki: Mutasd meg a város bejáratát, és mi irgalmasak leszünk hozzád.

And the spies saw a man come forth out of the city, and they said unto him, Shew us, we pray thee, the entrance into the city, and we will shew thee mercy.

Străjerii au văzut pe un om ieşind din cetate şi i-au zis: „Arată-ne pe unde putem intra în cetate, şi vom avea milă de tine.”

And the spies saw a man coming out of the city, and they said to him, “Please show us the way into the city, and we will deal kindly with you.”

And the man went into the land of the Hittites, and built a city, and called the name thereof Luz: which is the name thereof unto this day.

And the man went to the land of the Hittites and built a city and called its name Luz. That is its name to this day.

De Manassé nem űzte el a lakosokat sem Bétseánból és településeiből, sem Taanakból és településeiből, sem Dórból és településeiből; sem Jibleámnak és településeinek a lakosait, sem Megiddónak és településeinek a lakosait. Így a kánaániaknak sikerült ott maradniuk azon a földön.

Manasseh did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shean and its villages, or Taanach and its villages, or the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, or the inhabitants of Ibleam and its villages, or the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages, for the Canaanites persisted in dwelling in that land.

And Ephraim did not drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer, so the Canaanites lived in Gezer among them.

Zebulon sem űzte el sem Kitrón lakóit, sem Nahalól lakóit, hanem köztük laktak a kánaániak, és adófizetőikké lettek.

Zebulon sem űzte el sem Kitron lakosait, sem Nahalólnak lakóit, hanem közöttük lakozott a Kananeus, és adófizetőikké lettek.

Neither did Zebulun drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the Canaanites dwelt among them, and became tributaries.

Ásér sem űzte el sem Akkó, sem Szidón, sem Ahláb, sem Akzíb, sem Helbá, sem Afík, sem Rehób lakóit.

Áser sem űzte el sem Akkó, sem Sidon, sem Akhláb, sem Akzib, sem Helba, sem Afik, sem Rehob lakóit.

Neither did Asher drive out the inhabitants of Accho, nor the inhabitants of Zidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob:

Nici Aşer n-a izgonit pe locuitorii din Aco, nici pe locuitorii din Sidon, nici pe cei din Ahlab, din Aczib, din Helba, din Afic şi din Rehob;

Asher did not drive out the inhabitants of Acco, or the inhabitants of Sidon or of Ahlab or of Achzib or of Helbah or of Aphik or of Rehob,

But the Asherites dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: for they did not drive them out.

so the Asherites lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land, for they did not drive them out.

Naftáli sem űzte el sem Bétsemes lakosait, sem Bét-Anát lakóit, hanem ott lakott a kánaániak között, az ország lakosai között. De Bétsemes és Bét-Anát lakói adófizetőikké lettek.

Nafthali sem űzte el sem Béth-Semes lakosait, sem Béth-Anath lakóit, hanem [ott] lakott a Kananeusok, a föld lakói között, és Béth-Semes és Béth-Anath lakói adófizetőikké lettek.

Neither did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Bethshemesh, nor the inhabitants of Bethanath; but he dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: nevertheless the inhabitants of Bethshemesh and of Bethanath became tributaries unto them.

Az emóriak pedig fölszorították Dán fiait a hegyvidékre, és nem engedték meg, hogy lejöjjenek a völgybe.

Így sikerült az emóriaknak ott maradniuk a Hereszhegységben, Ajjálónban és Saalbímban. De mikor József házának keze rájuk nehezedett, adófizetőkké lettek.

És az Emoreusoknak tetszett ott lakni a Héresz hegységen, Ajalonban és Saalbimban; de mikor a József házának keze rájok nehezedett, adófizetőkké lettek.

But the Amorites would dwell in mount Heres in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim: yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that they became tributaries.

Amoriţii au izbutit să rămână la Har-Heres, la Aialon şi la Şaalbim; dar mâna casei lui Iosif a apăsat asupra lor şi au fost supuşi la un bir.

The Amorites persisted in dwelling in Mount Heres, in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim, but the hand of the house of Joseph rested heavily on them, and they became subject to forced labor.

And the coast of the Amorites was from the going up to Akrabbim, from the rock, and upward.

Ţinutul amoriţilor se întindea de la suişul Acrabim, de la Sela şi în sus.

And the border of the Amorites ran from the ascent of Akrabbim, from Sela and upward.
