A gileádi Jefte pedig nagy erejű hős volt. Egy parázna asszonynak volt a fia. Jeftét Gileád nemzette.

Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.

Iefta, galaaditul, era un om viteaz. El era fiul unei curve. Galaad născuse pe Iefta.

Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty warrior, but he was the son of a prostitute. Gilead was the father of Jephthah.

De mikor Gileád felesége is szült neki fiakat, és feleségének fiai felnőttek, akkor elűzték Jeftét, és ezt mondták neki: Nem fogsz örökölni apánk házában, mert más asszonynak vagy a fia!

De [mikor] Gileádnak a felesége [is] szült néki fiakat, és megnőttek az ő feleségének fiai: akkor elűzték Jeftét és azt mondták néki: Nem fogsz örökösödni atyánknak házában, mert más asszonynak vagy a fia.

And Gilead's wife bare him sons; and his wife's sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father's house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.

Nevasta lui Galaad i-a născut fii, care, făcându-se mari, au izgonit pe Iefta şi i-au zis: „Tu nu vei avea moştenire în casa tatălui nostru, căci eşti fiul unei alte femei.”

And Gilead’s wife also bore him sons. And when his wife’s sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out and said to him, “You shall not have an inheritance in our father’s house, for you are the son of another woman.”

Jefte elfutott testvérei elől, és Tób földjén telepedett le. Nincstelen emberek gyűltek össze Jefte körül, és együtt portyáztak.

Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.

Then Jephthah fled from his brothers and lived in the land of Tob, and worthless fellows collected around Jephthah and went out with him.

And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.

After a time the Ammonites made war against Israel.

Amikor harcolni kezdtek Ammón fiai Izráellel, Gileád vénei elmentek, hogy visszahozzák Jeftét Tób földjéről.

És lőn, hogy a mint harczolni [kezdtek] az Ammon fiai Izráellel, Gileád vénei elmentek, hogy visszahozzák Jeftét a Tób földéről.

And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:

Şi pe când fiii lui Amon făceau război cu Israel, bătrânii Galaadului s-au dus să caute pe Iefta din ţara Tob.

And when the Ammonites made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to bring Jephthah from the land of Tob.

Ezt mondták neki: Jöjj, légy a fejedelmünk, és harcoljunk Ammón fiai ellen.

És mondának Jeftének: Jer el, és légy nékünk fejedelmünk, és harczoljunk az Ammon fiai ellen.

And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon.

Ei au zis lui Iefta: „Vino de fii căpetenia noastră, şi să batem pe fiii lui Amon.”

And they said to Jephthah, “Come and be our leader, that we may fight against the Ammonites.”

Jefte pedig ezt mondta Gileád véneinek: Hát nem ti vagytok-e, akik meggyűlöltetek engem, és kiűztetek apám házából? Miért jöttetek most hozzám nyomorúságotok idején?

Jefte pedig monda Gileád véneinek: Avagy nem ti vagytok-é, a kik engem meggyűlöltetek, és kiűztetek atyámnak házából? És miért jöttetek most hozzám a ti nyomorúságtoknak idején?

And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expel me out of my father's house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye are in distress?

Iefta a răspuns bătrânilor Galaadului: „Nu m-aţi urât voi şi nu m-aţi izgonit voi din casa tatălui meu? Pentru ce veniţi la mine acum când sunteţi în strâmtorare?”

But Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “Did you not hate me and drive me out of my father’s house? Why have you come to me now when you are in distress?”

Gileád vénei ezt felelték Jeftének: Azért fordultunk most hozzád, hogy jöjj el velünk, és harcolj Ammón fiai ellen, és légy nekünk és Gileád minden lakosának a feje.

És mondának Gileád vénei Jeftének: Azért fordultunk most hozzád, hogy jőjj el velünk, és hadakozzál az Ammon fiai ellen, és légy mi nékünk fejünk, és Gileád minden lakosinak.

And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.

Bătrânii Galaadului au zis lui Iefta: „Ne întoarcem la tine acum, ca să mergi cu noi, să baţi pe fiii lui Amon şi să fii căpetenia noastră, căpetenia tuturor locuitorilor Galaadului.”

And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “That is why we have turned to you now, that you may go with us and fight against the Ammonites and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

Jefte azt mondta Gileád véneinek: Ha visszavisztek engem, hogy harcoljak Ammón fiai ellen, és kezembe adja őket az ÚR, igazán fejedelmetek leszek?

És monda Jefte Gileád véneinek: Ha visszavisztek engem, hogy hadakozzam az Ammon fiai ellen, és kezembe adja őket az Úr: [igazán] fejetekké leszek?

And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, If ye bring me home again to fight against the children of Ammon, and the LORD deliver them before me, shall I be your head?

Iefta a răspuns bătrânilor Galaadului: „Dacă mă aduceţi înapoi ca să bat pe fiii lui Amon şi dacă Domnul îi va da înaintea mea, voi fi eu oare căpetenia voastră?”

Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “If you bring me home again to fight against the Ammonites, and the LORD gives them over to me, I will be your head.”

Erre ezt felelték Gileád vénei Jeftének: Az ÚR a tanúnk, ha nem a te beszéded szerint cselekszünk!

Akkor mondának Gileád vénei Jeftének: Az Úr a tanúnk, ha a te beszéded szerint nem cselekeszünk!

And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, The LORD be witness between us, if we do not so according to thy words.

Bătrânii Galaadului au zis lui Iefta: „Domnul să ne audă şi să judece dacă nu vom face ce spui.”

And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, “The LORD will be witness between us, if we do not do as you say.”

Ekkor elment Jefte Gileád véneivel, és a nép a maga fejévé és fejedelmévé tette őt. És Jefte elmondta mindezt az ÚR előtt Micpában.

És elment Jefte Gileád véneivel, és a nép a maga fejévé és fejedelmévé tette őt. És megmondá Jefte minden beszédit az Úr előtt Mispában.

Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words before the LORD in Mizpeh.

Şi Iefta a pornit cu bătrânii Galaadului. Poporul l-a pus în fruntea lui şi l-a aşezat căpetenie, şi Iefta a spus din nou înaintea Domnului, la Miţpa, toate cuvintele pe care le rostise.

So Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and leader over them. And Jephthah spoke all his words before the LORD at Mizpah.

Majd követeket küldött Jefte az ammóniak királyához ezzel az üzenettel: Mi dolgunk van nekünk egymással, hogy hozzám jöttél, hadakozni országom ellen?

És követeket küldött Jefte az Ammon fiainak királyához, [ezt] izenvén: Mi dolgom van nékem veled, hogy hozzám jöttél, hogy hadakozzál az én földem ellen?

And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come against me to fight in my land?

Iefta a trimis soli împăratului fiilor lui Amon, ca să-i spună: „Ce ai cu mine de vii împotriva mea să faci război împotriva ţării mele?”

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites and said, “What do you have against me, that you have come to me to fight against my land?”

Az ammóniak királya ezt felelte Jefte követeinek: Mert Izráel elvette az én földemet az Arnóntól a Jabbókig és a Jordánig, amikor feljött Egyiptomból. Most hát te add vissza azokat békességgel!

És monda az Ammon fiainak királya Jefte követeinek: Mert elvette Izráel az én földemet, mikor Égyiptomból feljött, az Arnontól fogva Jabbókig és a Jordánig, most te add azokat vissza békességgel.

And the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore restore those lands again peaceably.

Împăratul fiilor lui Amon a răspuns solilor lui Iefta: „Pentru că Israel, când s-a suit din Egipt, a pus mâna pe ţara mea, de la Arnon până la Iaboc şi Iordan. Dă-mi-o înapoi acum de bunăvoie.”

And the king of the Ammonites answered the messengers of Jephthah, “Because Israel on coming up from Egypt took away my land, from the Arnon to the Jabbok and to the Jordan; now therefore restore it peaceably.”

Ismét követeket küldött Jefte Ammón fiainak királyához,

Ismét külde pedig Jefte követeket az Ammon fiainak királyához;

And Jephthah sent messengers again unto the king of the children of Ammon:

Iefta a trimis iarăşi soli împăratului fiilor lui Amon,

Jephthah again sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites

kik ezt mondták neki: Ezt üzeni Jefte: Izráel nem vette el sem Móáb földjét, sem Ammón fiainak földjét.

És monda néki: Ezt izeni Jefte: Nem vette el Izráel sem a Moáb földét, sem az Ammon fiainak földét;

And said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel took not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon:

ca să-i spună: „Aşa vorbeşte Iefta: „Israel n-a pus mâna pe ţara Moabului, nici pe ţara fiilor lui Amon.

and said to him, “Thus says Jephthah: Israel did not take away the land of Moab or the land of the Ammonites,

Mert amikor feljött Egyiptomból, a pusztában bolyongott egészen a Vörös-tengerig, és mikor Kádésba ért,

Mert mikor kijött Égyiptomból, a pusztában bolyongott Izráel egész a Veres tengerig, és mikor Kádesbe ért,

But when Israel came up from Egypt, and walked through the wilderness unto the Red sea, and came to Kadesh;

Căci, când s-a suit Israel din Egipt, a mers în pustiu până la Marea Roşie şi a ajuns la Cades.

but when they came up from Egypt, Israel went through the wilderness to the Red Sea and came to Kadesh.

követeket küldött Izráel Edóm királyához, ezzel az üzenettel: Hadd menjek át, kérlek, az országodon! De Edóm királya nem hallgatta meg. Majd Móáb királyához is küldött, de ő sem engedte át, és így Izráel ott maradt Kádésban.

Követeket küldött Izráel Edom királyához, mondván: Hadd menjek át, kérlek, országodon; de Edom királya nem hallgatta meg. Majd Moáb királyához is küldött; de ez sem engedé, és [így] Izráel ott maradt Kádesben.

Then Israel sent messengers unto the king of Edom, saying, Let me, I pray thee, pass through thy land: but the king of Edom would not hearken thereto. And in like manner they sent unto the king of Moab: but he would not consent: and Israel abode in Kadesh.

Atunci Israel a trimis soli împăratului Edomului, ca să-i spună: „Lasă-mă să trec prin ţara ta.” Dar împăratul Edomului n-a voit. A trimis şi la împăratul Moabului, şi nici el n-a vrut. Şi Israel a rămas la Cades.

Israel then sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, ‘Please let us pass through your land,’ but the king of Edom would not listen. And they sent also to the king of Moab, but he would not consent. So Israel remained at Kadesh.

Amikor tovább vándorolt a pusztában, megkerülte Edóm földjét és Móáb földjét, és kelet felől érkezett Móáb országához, és ott táborozott az Arnónon túl. De nem lépték át Móáb határát, mert az Arnón Móáb határa.

És mikor [tovább] vándorolt a pusztában, megkerülte Edom földét és Moáb földét, és napkelet felől érkezett a Moáb földéhez, és [ott] táborozott túl az Arnonon; de Moáb határába nem ment be, mert az Arnon Moáb határa.

Then they went along through the wilderness, and compassed the land of Edom, and the land of Moab, and came by the east side of the land of Moab, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon was the border of Moab.

Apoi a mers prin pustiu, a ocolit ţara Edomului şi ţara Moabului şi a venit la răsăritul ţării Moabului; au tăbărât dincolo de Arnon, fără să intre pe ţinutul Moabului, căci Arnonul era hotarul Moabului.

“Then they journeyed through the wilderness and went around the land of Edom and the land of Moab and arrived on the east side of the land of Moab and camped on the other side of the Arnon. But they did not enter the territory of Moab, for the Arnon was the boundary of Moab.

Ekkor követeket küldött Izráel Szíhónhoz, az emóriak királyához, Hesbón királyához, kik ezt mondták neki: Kérlek, hadd vonuljak át országodon keresztül a magam helyére.

Ekkor követeket küldött Izráel Szihonhoz, az Emoreusok királyához, Hesbon királyához, és monda néki Izráel: Hadd menjek át, kérlek, országodon az én helyemre.

And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said unto him, Let us pass, we pray thee, through thy land into my place.

Israel a trimis soli lui Sihon, împăratul amoriţilor, împăratul Hesbonului. Şi Israel i-a zis: „Lasă-mă să trec prin ţara ta până la locul spre care mergem.”

Israel then sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, king of Heshbon, and Israel said to him, ‘Please let us pass through your land to our country,’

De Szíhón nem hitt Izráelnek, hogy csak át akar vonulni az ő határán, hanem összegyűjtötte egész népét, és táborba szállt Jahcánál, és harcolt Izráel ellen.

De Szihon nem hitt Izráelnek, hogy átvonul az ő határán, hanem összegyűjtötte Szihon az ő egész népét, és táborba szállott Jahásban, és harczolt az Izráel ellen.

But Sihon trusted not Israel to pass through his coast: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and pitched in Jahaz, and fought against Israel.

Dar Sihon n-a avut încredere în Israel, ca să-l lase să treacă pe ţinutul lui; şi-a strâns tot poporul, a tăbărât la Iahaţ şi a luptat împotriva lui Israel.

but Sihon did not trust Israel to pass through his territory, so Sihon gathered all his people together and encamped at Jahaz and fought with Israel.

Az ÚR, Izráel Istene pedig Szíhónt és egész népét Izráel kezébe adta, és megverték őket, és elfoglalta Izráel az emóriaknak, ama föld lakóinak egész országát.

Az Úr, az Izráel Istene pedig Szihont és egész népét Izráel kezébe adta, és megverték őket, és elfoglalta Izráel az Emoreusoknak, ama föld lakóinak, egész országát.

And the LORD God of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that country.

Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel a dat pe Sihon şi pe tot poporul lui în mâinile lui Israel care i-a bătut. Israel a pus mâna pe toată ţara amoriţilor care erau aşezaţi în ţara aceasta.

And the LORD, the God of Israel, gave Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they defeated them. So Israel took possession of all the land of the Amorites, who inhabited that country.

Birtokba vették az emóriak egész határát az Arnóntól fogva Jabbókig és a pusztától a Jordánig.

És birtokába vette az Emoreusok egész határát, az Arnontól fogva Jabbókig, és a pusztától a Jordánig.

And they possessed all the coasts of the Amorites, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and from the wilderness even unto Jordan.

Au pus mâna pe tot ţinutul amoriţilor, de la Arnon până la Iaboc, şi de la pustiu până la Iordan.

And they took possession of all the territory of the Amorites from the Arnon to the Jabbok and from the wilderness to the Jordan.

Ha tehát az ÚR, Izráel Istene maga űzte ki az emóriakat népe, Izráel elől, most te akarnád azt elfoglalni?

És mikor az Úr, az Izráel Istene [maga] űzte ki az Emoreusokat az ő népe, az Izráel elől, most te akarnád ezt elfoglalni?

So now the LORD God of Israel hath dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel, and shouldest thou possess it?

Şi acum, când Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel a izgonit pe amoriţi dinaintea poporului Său, Israel, tu să le stăpâneşti ţara?

So then the LORD, the God of Israel, dispossessed the Amorites from before his people Israel; and are you to take possession of them?

Hát nem úgy van-e, hogy amit neked adott Kemós, a te istened, azt bírod? Mi meg mindazoknak örökségét bírjuk, akiket az ÚR, a mi Istenünk űzött ki előlünk.

Hát nem úgy van-é, hogy a mit bírnod adott néked Kámos, a te istened, azt bírod? Mi meg mindazoknak örökségét bírjuk, a kiket az Úr, a mi Istenünk űzött ki mi előlünk.

Wilt not thou possess that which Chemosh thy god giveth thee to possess? So whomsoever the LORD our God shall drive out from before us, them will we possess.

Oare ce-ţi dă în stăpânire dumnezeul tău, Chemoş, nu vei stăpâni? Şi tot ce ne-a dat în stăpânire Domnul Dumnezeul nostru, înaintea noastră, noi să nu stăpânim?!

Will you not possess what Chemosh your god gives you to possess? And all that the LORD our God has dispossessed before us, we will possess.

És most vajon mennyivel vagy különb Báláknál, Cippór fiánál, Móáb királyánál? Vajon versengett-e ő Izráellel, és hadakozott-e valaha is ellenük?

És most vajjon mennyivel vagy te különb Báláknál, Czippor fiánál, Moáb királyánál? Avagy versengett-é [ez] az Izráellel, és hadakozott-é valaha ellenük?

And now art thou any thing better than Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab? did he ever strive against Israel, or did he ever fight against them,

Eşti tu mai bun decât Balac, fiul lui Ţipor, împăratul Moabului? S-a certat el cu Israel sau a făcut el război împotriva lui?

Now are you any better than Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab? Did he ever contend against Israel, or did he ever go to war with them?

Míg Izráel Hesbónban és falvaiban, Aróérban és falvaiban és az Arnón melletti városokban lakott háromszáz esztendőn át, miért nem foglaltátok el abban az időben?

Míg Izráel Hesbonban és annak mezővárosaiban, Aroerben és ennek mezővárosaiban és az Arnon mellett való összes városokban háromszáz esztendőn át lakott: miért nem foglaltátok el abban az időben?

While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all the cities that be along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? why therefore did ye not recover them within that time?

Iată că sunt trei sute de ani de când locuieşte Israel la Hesbon şi în satele din jurul lui, la Aroer şi în satele din jurul lui şi în toate cetăţile care sunt pe malul Arnonului: pentru ce nu i le-aţi luat în tot timpul acesta?

While Israel lived in Heshbon and its villages, and in Aroer and its villages, and in all the cities that are on the banks of the Arnon, 300 years, why did you not deliver them within that time?

Én nem vétettem ellened, te akarsz rosszat tenni velem azzal, hogy hadakozol ellenem. Az ÚR a bíró, ítéljen ma Izráel és Ammón fiai között.

Én nem vétettem te ellened, hanem te cselekszel velem gonoszt, hogy harczolsz ellenem. Az Úr, a biró, tegyen ma ítéletet az Izráel és az Ammon fiai között.

Wherefore I have not sinned against thee, but thou doest me wrong to war against me: the LORD the Judge be judge this day between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.

Eu nu te-am supărat deloc, şi rău te-ai purtat cu mine, făcându-mi război. Domnul să judece lucrul acesta. El să fie astăzi judecător între fiii lui Israel şi fiii lui Amon.”

I therefore have not sinned against you, and you do me wrong by making war on me. The LORD, the Judge, decide this day between the people of Israel and the people of Ammon.”

De az ammóniak királya nem hallgatott Jefte üzenetére, amelyet küldött neki.

De az Ammon fiainak királya nem hallgatott Jefte szavaira, a melyeket izent néki.

Howbeit the king of the children of Ammon hearkened not unto the words of Jephthah which he sent him.

Împăratul fiilor lui Amon n-a ascultat cuvintele pe care a trimis Iefta să i le spună.

But the king of the Ammonites did not listen to the words of Jephthah that he sent to him.

Ekkor az ÚR lelke Jeftére szállt, és átment Gileádon és Manassén; átment Gileád-Micpén, és Gileád-Micpéből fölvonult Ammón fiai ellen.

Jeftén pedig lőn az Úrnak lelke, és általméne Gileádon és Manassén, és általméne Gileád Mispén, és Gileád Mispéből felvonult az Ammon fiai ellen.

Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon.

Duhul Domnului a venit peste Iefta. Iefta a străbătut Galaadul şi Manase; a trecut la Miţpe, în Galaad; şi din Miţpe, din Galaad, a pornit împotriva fiilor lui Amon.

Then the Spirit of the LORD was upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh and passed on to Mizpah of Gilead, and from Mizpah of Gilead he passed on to the Ammonites.

És fogadalmat tett Jefte az ÚRnak, ezt mondván: Ha mindenestül kezembe adod az ammóniakat,

És fogadást tőn Jefte az Úrnak, és monda: Ha mindenestől kezembe adod az Ammon fiait:

And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,

Iefta a făcut o juruinţă Domnului şi a zis: „Dacă vei da în mâinile mele pe fiii lui Amon,

And Jephthah made a vow to the LORD and said, “If you will give the Ammonites into my hand,

akkor bármi jön elém házam ajtaján, mikor békével visszatérek az ammóniaktól, legyen az az ÚRé, feláldozom azt egészen elégő áldozatul.

Akkor valami kijövénd az én házamnak ajtaján előmbe, mikor békével visszatérek az Ammon fiaitól, legyen az Úré, és megáldozom azt egészen égőáldozatul.

Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.

oricine va ieşi pe porţile casei mele înaintea mea, la întoarcerea mea fericită de la fiii lui Amon, va fi închinat Domnului şi-l voi aduce ca ardere de tot.”

then whatever comes out from the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the Ammonites shall be the LORD’s, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.”

Felvonult hát Jefte Ammón fiai ellen, hogy harcoljon velük, az ÚR pedig a kezébe adta őket.

És kivonult Jefte az Ammon fiai ellen, hogy hadakozzék velök, és kezébe adá néki azokat az Úr.

So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the LORD delivered them into his hands.

Iefta a pornit împotriva fiilor lui Amon, şi Domnul i-a dat în mâinile lui.

So Jephthah crossed over to the Ammonites to fight against them, and the LORD gave them into his hand.

Verte őket Aróértől fogva a Minnítbe vivő útig, húsz városon keresztül és egészen Ábél-Kerámimig. Nagy vérontás volt ez; így alázták meg Izráel fiai az ammóniakat.

És veré őket Aroertől fogva mindaddig, míg mennél Minnithbe, húsz városon át, és egész Abel-Keraminig nagy vérontással, és az Ammon fiai megaláztattak az Izráel fiai előtt.

And he smote them from Aroer, even till thou come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.

Le-a pricinuit o foarte mare înfrângere, de la Aroer până spre Minit, loc care cuprindea douăzeci de cetăţi, şi până la Abel-Cheramim. Şi fiii lui Amon au fost smeriţi înaintea copiilor lui Israel.

And he struck them from Aroer to the neighborhood of Minnith, twenty cities, and as far as Abel-keramim, with a great blow. So the Ammonites were subdued before the people of Israel.

Mikor pedig Jefte Micpába ment a házához, íme, a leánya jött ki elébe dobokkal és táncoló sereggel. Ez volt az ő egyetlenje, mert kívüle nem volt sem fia, sem leánya.

Mikor pedig méne Jefte Mispába az ő házához: ímé az ő leánya jött ki eleibe dobokkal és tánczoló sereggel; ez volt az ő egyetlenegyje, mert nem volt néki [kivülötte] sem fia, sem leánya.

And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter.

Iefta s-a întors acasă la Miţpa. Şi iată că fiica sa i-a ieşit înainte cu timpane şi jocuri. Ea era singurul lui copil; n-avea fii şi nici altă fată.

Then Jephthah came to his home at Mizpah. And behold, his daughter came out to meet him with tambourines and with dances. She was his only child; besides her he had neither son nor daughter.

És mikor meglátta őt, megszaggatta ruháit, és ezt mondta: Ó, leányom, de megszomorítottál és megháborítottál engem! Mert fogadást tettem az ÚRnak, és nem vonhatom vissza.

És mikor meglátta őt, megszaggatá ruháit, és monda: Óh leányom, de megszomorítottál és megháborítottál engem! Mert én fogadást tettem az Úrnak, és nem vonhatom vissza.

And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back.

Cum a văzut-o, el şi-a rupt hainele şi a zis: „Ah! fata mea! Adânc mă loveşti şi mă tulburi! Am făcut o juruinţă Domnului şi n-o pot întoarce.”

And as soon as he saw her, he tore his clothes and said, “Alas, my daughter! You have brought me very low, and you have become the cause of great trouble to me. For I have opened my mouth to the LORD, and I cannot take back my vow.”

Ő pedig ezt mondta neki: Apám, ha fogadást tettél az ÚRnak, úgy cselekedjél velem, ahogy fogadtad, hiszen az ÚR megadta a bosszúállást ellenségeiden, az ammóniakon.

Az pedig monda néki: Atyám, ha fogadást tettél az Úrnak, úgy cselekedjél velem, a mint fogadtad, miután az Úr megadta az ellenségiden: az Ammon fiain való bosszút.

And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the LORD, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch as the LORD hath taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon.

Ea i-a zis: „Tată, ai făcut o juruinţă Domnului, fă-mi potrivit cu ceea ce ţi-a ieşit din gură, acum când Domnul te-a răzbunat pe vrăjmaşii tăi, pe fiii lui Amon.”

And she said to him, “My father, you have opened your mouth to the LORD; do to me according to what has gone out of your mouth, now that the LORD has avenged you on your enemies, on the Ammonites.”

Majd ezt mondta még apjának: Csak ezt az egyet tedd meg nekem: engedj el engem két hónapra, hadd menjek el, és vonulhassak félre a hegyekbe, hogy sírjak szüzességemen leánybarátaimmal együtt.

És monda az ő atyjának: Csak azt az egyet tedd meg nékem; ereszsz el engem két hónapra, hadd menjek el és vonulhassak félre a hegyekre, hogy sírjak szűzességemen leánybarátaimmal.

And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows.

Şi ea a zis tatălui său: „Atât îngăduie-mi: lasă-mă slobodă două luni, ca să mă duc să mă cobor în munţi şi să-mi plâng fecioria cu tovarăşele mele.”

So she said to her father, “Let this thing be done for me: leave me alone two months, that I may go up and down on the mountains and weep for my virginity, I and my companions.”

Ő azt felelte: Menj! És elbocsátotta őt két hónapra. Ekkor ő és leánybarátai elmentek, és elsiratta leányságát a hegyek közt.

És ő monda: Menj el. És elbocsátá őt két hónapra. Az pedig elment és az ő leánybarátai, és siratta az ő szűzességét a hegyeken.

And he said, Go. And he sent her away for two months: and she went with her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains.

El a răspuns: „Du-te!” Şi a lăsat-o slobodă două luni. Ea s-a dus cu tovarăşele ei şi şi-a plâns fecioria pe munţi.

So he said, “Go.” Then he sent her away for two months, and she departed, she and her companions, and wept for her virginity on the mountains.

A két hónap elteltével visszatért apjához, és az betöltötte a felőle tett fogadását, és ő soha nem ismert férfit. Azóta lett szokássá Izráelben,

És a két hónap elteltével visszatért atyjához, és betöltötte az ő felőle való fogadást, a melyet tett, és ő [soha] nem ismert férfiút. És szokássá lett Izráelben,

And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,

După cele două luni, s-a întors la tatăl ei, şi el a împlinit cu ea juruinţa pe care o făcuse. Ea nu cunoscuse împreunarea cu bărbat. De atunci s-a făcut în Israel obiceiul

And at the end of two months, she returned to her father, who did with her according to his vow that he had made. She had never known a man, and it became a custom in Israel
