Akkor Efraim emberei azt mondták neki: Mit tettél velünk? Miért nem hívtál minket, amikor Midján ellen harcba indultál? És hevesen pöröltek vele.

És mondának az Efraim férfiai néki: Miért cselekedted azt mi velünk, hogy el nem hívtál minket, mikor a Midián ellen való hadakozásra indultál? És erősen feddőzének vele.

And the men of Ephraim said unto him, Why hast thou served us thus, that thou calledst us not, when thou wentest to fight with the Midianites? And they did chide with him sharply.

Bărbaţii lui Efraim au zis lui Ghedeon: „Ce înseamnă felul acesta de purtare faţă de noi? Pentru ce nu ne-ai chemat, când ai plecat să te lupţi împotriva lui Madian?” Şi au avut o mare ceartă cu el.

Then the men of Ephraim said to him, “What is this that you have done to us, not to call us when you went to fight against Midian?” And they accused him fiercely.

Ő pedig így felelt nekik: Vajon tettem-e én olyan dolgot, mint ti? Nem többet ér-e Efraim szőlőjének böngészése Abíezer egész szüretjénél?

Ő pedig monda nékik: Vajjon cselekedtem-é én olyan dolgot, mint ti? Nem többet ér-é Efraim szőlőmezgerlése, mint Abiézer [egész] szüretje?

And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

Ghedeon le-a răspuns: „Ce-am făcut eu pe lângă voi? Oare nu face mai mult culesul ciorchinilor rămaşi în via lui Efraim decât culesul întregii vii a lui Abiezer?

And he said to them, “What have I done now in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the grape harvest of Abiezer?

Kezetekbe adta Isten Midján vezéreit, Órébet és Zeébet. Hát hozzátok képest mit tudtam én tenni?! Amikor így beszélt, lecsöndesedett felháborodott lelkük.

Kezetekbe adta az Isten Midiánnak fejedelmeit, Orebet és Zéebet; hát mit cselekedhettem én olyat, mint ti?! Akkor lecsendesedék az ő felháborodott lelkök, mikor e beszédet mondotta vala.

God hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able to do in comparison of you? Then their anger was abated toward him, when he had said that.

În mâinile voastre a dat Dumnezeu pe căpeteniile lui Madian: Oreb şi Zeeb. Ce-am putut face eu deci pe lângă voi?” După ce le-a vorbit astfel, li s-a potolit mânia.

God has given into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. What have I been able to do in comparison with you?” Then their anger against him subsided when he said this.

Mikor pedig Gedeon a Jordánhoz ért, átkelt a vele levő, üldözés miatt kifáradt háromszáz emberével.

And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them.

Ezt mondta a szukkóti férfiaknak: Kérlek, adjatok kenyeret az engem követő népnek, mert fáradtak, nekem pedig üldöznöm kell Zebahot és Calmunnát, Midján királyait.

És monda a Sukkót férfiainak: Adjatok, kérlek, e népnek, mely engem követ, kenyeret, mert fáradtak, én pedig űzöm Zébát és Sálmunáht, Midiánnak királyait.

And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they be faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.

El a zis celor din Sucot: „Daţi, vă rog, câteva pâini poporului care mă însoţeşte, căci sunt obosiţi şi sunt în urmărirea lui Zebah şi Ţalmuna, împăraţii Madianului.”

So he said to the men of Succoth, “Please give loaves of bread to the people who follow me, for they are exhausted, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, the kings of Midian.”

Szukkót elöljárói ezt felelték: Már kezedben tartod talán Zebah és Calmunná öklét, hogy kenyeret kívánsz tőlünk a seregednek?

És mondának Sukkót előljárói: Zébának és Sálmunáhnak öklét már kezedben tartod-é, hogy kenyeret adjunk a te seregednek?

And the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thine army?

Căpeteniile din Sucot au răspuns: „Este oare mâna lui Zebah şi Ţalmuna în stăpânirea ta, ca să dăm pâine oştirii tale?”

And the officials of Succoth said, “Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna already in your hand, that we should give bread to your army?”

Gedeon pedig azt felelte erre: Ha kezembe adja az ÚR Zebahot és Calmunnát, pusztai tövissel és tüskével csépelem végig a testeteket!

Gedeon pedig monda: Ha kezembe adja az Úr Zébát és Sálmunáht, a pusztának tüskéivel és csalánjaival csépelem meg testeteket.

And Gideon said, Therefore when the LORD hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.

Şi Ghedeon a zis: „Ei bine! După ce Domnul va da în mâinile noastre pe Zebah şi pe Ţalmuna, vă voi scărpina carnea cu spini din pustiu şi cu mărăcini.”

So Gideon said, “Well then, when the LORD has given Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, I will flail your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.”

Majd fölment onnan Penúélba, és ugyanúgy szólt azokhoz is, és a penúéli férfiak ugyanúgy feleltek neki, ahogy a Szukkótban lakó férfiak.

És felmenvén onnan Pénuelbe, hasonlóképen szóla azoknak is, és Pénuel férfiai [épen] úgy feleltek néki, a mint feleltek volt a Sukkót férfiai.

And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake unto them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him.

De acolo s-a suit la Penuel şi a făcut celor din Penuel aceeaşi rugăminte. Ei i-au răspuns cum îi răspunseseră cei din Sucot.

And from there he went up to Penuel, and spoke to them in the same way, and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered.

A penúéli férfiaknak ezt mondta: Ha békében térek vissza, lerombolom ezt a tornyot.

És szóla a Pénuel férfiainak is, mondván: Mikor békességben visszatérek, lerontom ezt a tornyot.

And he spake also unto the men of Penuel, saying, When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.

Şi a zis şi celor din Penuel: „Când mă voi întoarce în pace, voi dărâma turnul acesta.”

And he said to the men of Penuel, “When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.”

Zebah és Calmunná pedig Karkórban volt táborával együtt; mintegy tizenötezren voltak mindazokkal együtt, akik megmaradtak a keleti törzsek egész táborából. Az elesettek száma százhúszezer fegyverforgató férfi volt.

Zéba pedig és Sálmunáh Kárkorban valának, és az ő seregök velök, mintegy tizenötezeren, mind a kik megmaradtak a Napkeletieknek egész táborából. Az elesettek [száma] százhúszezer fegyverfogható férfiú [volt.]

Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword.

Zebah şi Ţalmuna erau la Carcor împreună cu oştirea lor de aproape cincisprezece mii de oameni; toţi cei ce mai rămăseseră din toată oştirea fiilor răsăritului: o sută douăzeci de mii de oameni care scoteau sabia fuseseră ucişi.

Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor with their army, about 15,000 men, all who were left of all the army of the people of the East, for there had fallen 120,000 men who drew the sword.

Gedeon a sátorlakók útján vonult fel, Nóbahtól és Jogbohától keletre, és szétverte a tábort, mikor az biztonságban érezte magát.

And Gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and smote the host; for the host was secure.

And Gideon went up by the way of the tent dwellers east of Nobah and Jogbehah and attacked the army, for the army felt secure.

Zebah és Calmunná elfutott, de ő utánuk ment. Elfogta Midján két királyát: Zebahot és Calmunnát, és szétszórta az egész tábort.

And when Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued after them, and took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and discomfited all the host.

And Zebah and Zalmunna fled, and he pursued them and captured the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and he threw all the army into a panic.

elfogott egy szukkóti gyermeket és kikérdezte. Az pedig fölírta neki Szukkót elöljáróit és véneit, hetvenhét férfit.

Megfogott egy gyermeket a sukkótbeliek közül, és tudakozódott tőle. Ez pedig felírta néki Sukkótnak előljáróit és véneit, hetvenhét férfiút.

And caught a young man of the men of Succoth, and enquired of him: and he described unto him the princes of Succoth, and the elders thereof, even threescore and seventeen men.

A prins dintre cei din Sucot un tânăr pe care l-a întrebat, şi care i-a dat în scris numele căpeteniilor şi bătrânilor din Sucot; erau şaptezeci şi şapte de bărbaţi.

And he captured a young man of Succoth and questioned him. And he wrote down for him the officials and elders of Succoth, seventy-seven men.

Mikor aztán a szukkóti férfiakhoz ment, azt mondta: Ímhol Zebah és Calmunná, akik miatt így gúnyolódtatok velem: Vajon Zebah és Calmunná öklét már kezedben tartod-e, hogy kenyeret kívánsz tőlünk kifáradt embereidnek?

Mikor aztán a Sukkót férfiaihoz ment vala, monda: Ímhol Zéba és Sálmunáh, a kik miatt gúnyolódtatok velem, mondván: Vajjon Zéba és Sálmunáh öklét már kezedben tartod-é, hogy kenyeret adjunk kifáradott embereidnek?

And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are weary?

Apoi a venit la cei din Sucot şi a zis: „Iată pe Zebah şi Ţalmuna pentru care m-aţi batjocorit, zicând: „Oare mâna lui Zebah şi Ţalmuna este în stăpânirea ta, ca să dăm pâine oamenilor tăi obosiţi?”

And he came to the men of Succoth and said, “Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, about whom you taunted me, saying, ‘Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna already in your hand, that we should give bread to your men who are exhausted?’”

Ekkor fogta a város véneit, és a puszta töviseivel és tüskéivel megleckéztette ezeket a szukkóti férfiakat.

And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.

And he took the elders of the city, and he took thorns of the wilderness and briers and with them taught the men of Succoth a lesson.

Azután lerombolta Penúél tornyát, és a város férfiait megölette.

Azután Pénuel tornyát rontá le, és a város férfiait ölte meg.

And he beat down the tower of Penuel, and slew the men of the city.

And he broke down the tower of Penuel and killed the men of the city.

Zebahnak és Calmunnának pedig ezt mondta: Milyenek voltak azok a férfiak, akiket a Tábór hegyén megöltetek? Ők pedig ezt felelték: Olyanok voltak ők is, mint te, mindegyik olyan arcú, mint egy-egy királyfi.

És monda Zébának és Sálmunáhnak: Milyenek voltak azok a férfiak, a kiket a Thábor [hegyén] megöltetek? Ők pedig mondának: Mint a milyen te vagy, olyanok voltak ők is, és mindenik olyan arczú, mint egy-egy királyfi.

Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.

El a zis lui Zebah şi lui Ţalmuna: „Cum erau oamenii pe care i-aţi ucis la Tabor?” Ei au răspuns: „Erau ca tine, fiecare avea înfăţişarea unui fiu de împărat.”

Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, “Where are the men whom you killed at Tabor?” They answered, “As you are, so were they. Every one of them resembled the son of a king.”

Erre ezt mondta: Az én testvéreim, anyám fiai voltak azok. Él az ÚR; hogyha életben hagytátok volna őket, én sem ölnélek meg titeket!

És monda: Az én atyámfiai, az én anyámnak fiai voltak azok. Él az Úr! ha életben hagytátok volna őket, én sem ölnélek meg titeket!

And he said, They were my brethren, even the sons of my mother: as the LORD liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you.

El a zis: „Erau fraţii mei, fiii mamei mele. Viu este Domnul că, dacă i-aţi fi lăsat cu viaţă, nu v-aş ucide.”

And he said, “They were my brothers, the sons of my mother. As the LORD lives, if you had saved them alive, I would not kill you.”

Majd ezt mondta elsőszülöttjének, Jeternek: Kelj fel, öld meg őket. De a fiú nem húzta ki a kardját, mert félt, mivel még gyermek volt.

És monda Jéthernek, az ő elsőszülöttjének: Kelj fel, öld meg őket. De a fiú nem húzta ki kardját, mert fél vala, mivelhogy még gyermek vala.

And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew not his sword: for he feared, because he was yet a youth.

Şi a zis lui Ieter, întâiul lui născut: „Scoală-te şi ucide-i!” Dar tânărul nu şi-a scos sabia, pentru că-i era teamă, căci era încă un copil.

So he said to Jether his firstborn, “Rise and kill them!” But the young man did not draw his sword, for he was afraid, because he was still a young man.

Ekkor azt mondta Zebah és Calmunná: Kelj föl te, és te ölj meg minket, mert amilyen a férfi, olyan az ereje! Gedeon erre fölkelt, megölte Zebahot és Calmunnát, és elvette a tevéik nyakán levő ékességeket.

És monda Zéba és Sálmunáh: Kelj fel te és [te] ölj meg minket, mert a milyen a férfiú, olyan az ő ereje. És felkele Gedeon, és megölé Zébát és Sálmunáht, és elvevé az ő tevéiknek nyakán levő ékességeket.

Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels' necks.

Zebah şi Ţalmuna au zis: „Scoală-te tu însuţi şi ucide-ne. Căci cum e omul, aşa e şi puterea lui.” Şi Ghedeon s-a sculat şi a ucis pe Zebah şi Ţalmuna. A luat apoi lunişoarele de la gâtul cămilelor lor.

Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, “Rise yourself and fall upon us, for as the man is, so is his strength.” And Gideon arose and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and he took the crescent ornaments that were on the necks of their camels.

Ekkor az izráeli férfiak ezt mondták Gedeonnak: Uralkodjál felettünk te és a fiad és fiadnak a fia, mert megszabadítottál minket a midjániak kezéből!

És mondának az Izráel férfiai Gedeonnak: Uralkodjál felettünk te és a te fiad és a te fiadnak fia, mert megszabadítottál bennünket a Midiániták kezéből.

Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son's son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian.

Bărbaţii lui Israel au zis lui Ghedeon: „Domneşte peste noi, tu şi fiul tău, şi fiul fiului tău, căci ne-ai izbăvit din mâna lui Madian.”

Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, “Rule over us, you and your son and your grandson also, for you have saved us from the hand of Midian.”

Gedeon ezt felelte nekik: Én nem uralkodom fölöttetek, és a fiam sem fog uralkodni rajtatok. Az ÚR uralkodik fölöttetek!

És monda nékik Gedeon: Én nem uralkodom felettetek, sem az én fiam nem fog uralkodni rajtatok. Az Úr uralkodik ti felettetek!

And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.

Ghedeon le-a zis: „Eu nu voi domni peste voi, nici fiii mei nu vor domni peste voi, ci Domnul va domni peste voi.”

Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the LORD will rule over you.”

Azután ezt mondta nekik Gedeon: Egyet kívánok csak tőletek, hogy adja nekem mindegyikőtök a zsákmányul szerzett fülbevalókat. Mert arany fülbevalói voltak azoknak, mivel izáeliek voltak.

Azután monda nékik Gedeon: Egyet kívánok [csak] tőletek, hogy adja nékem mindenikőtök a zsákmányul ejtett fülön függőket; mert arany fülön függőik voltak azoknak, mivelhogy Izmaeliták valának.

And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.)

Ghedeon le-a zis: „Am să vă fac o rugăminte: daţi-mi fiecare verigile de nas pe care le-aţi luat ca pradă.” – Vrăjmaşii aveau verigi de aur, căci erau ismaeliţi. –

And Gideon said to them, “Let me make a request of you: every one of you give me the earrings from his spoil.” (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.)

Ők ezt válaszolták: Örömest neked adjuk. Leterítettek egy ruhát, és mindenki arra dobta a fülbevalókat, amelyeket prédául szerzett.

And they answered, We will willingly give them. And they spread a garment, and did cast therein every man the earrings of his prey.

And they answered, “We will willingly give them.” And they spread a cloak, and every man threw in it the earrings of his spoil.

Az arany fülbevalók súlya pedig, amelyeket elkért, ezerhétszáz aranysékel volt, azokon az ékességeken, függőkön és bíborruhákon kívül, amelyek Midján királyain voltak, és az aranyláncok nélkül, amelyek a tevéik nyakán voltak.

And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels' necks.

Greutatea verigilor de aur, pe care le-a cerut Ghedeon, a fost de o mie şapte sute de sicli de aur, afară de lunişoare, de cerceii de aur şi hainele de purpură, pe care le purtau împăraţii Madianului, şi afară de lănţişoarele de la gâtul cămilelor lor.

And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was 1,700 shekels of gold, besides the crescent ornaments and the pendants and the purple garments worn by the kings of Midian, and besides the collars that were around the necks of their camels.

Gedeon éfódot készített belőlük, és a saját városába, Ofrába helyezte, és ott paráználkodott azután egész Izráel. És Gedeonnak és háza népének tőrbe ejtésére lett mindez.

És készíte abból Gedeon efódot, és helyhezteté azt a maga városában, Ofrában, és ott paráználkodott azután az egész Izráel, és lőn [ez] Gedeonnak és házanépének tőrbeejtésére.

And Gideon made an ephod thereof, and put it in his city, even in Ophrah: and all Israel went thither a whoring after it: which thing became a snare unto Gideon, and to his house.

Ghedeon a făcut din ele un efod şi l-a pus în cetatea lui, la Ofra, unde a ajuns o pricină de curvie pentru tot Israelul; şi a fost o cursă pentru Ghedeon şi pentru casa lui.

And Gideon made an ephod of it and put it in his city, in Ophrah. And all Israel whored after it there, and it became a snare to Gideon and to his family.

Így aláztattak meg a midjániak Izráel fiai előtt, és nem is emelték föl azután már a fejüket, és megnyugodott a föld negyven esztendeig Gedeon idejében.

Így aláztattak meg a Midiániták az Izráel fiai előtt, és nem is emelték fel azután már fejüket, és megnyugovék a föld negyven esztendeig Gedeon idejében.

Thus was Midian subdued before the children of Israel, so that they lifted up their heads no more. And the country was in quietness forty years in the days of Gideon.

Madianul a fost smerit înaintea copiilor lui Israel şi n-a mai ridicat capul. Şi ţara a avut odihnă patruzeci de ani, în timpul vieţii lui Ghedeon.

So Midian was subdued before the people of Israel, and they raised their heads no more. And the land had rest for forty years in the days of Gideon.

And Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and dwelt in his own house.

Gedeonnak volt hetven fia, akik tőle származtak, mert sok felesége volt.

And Gideon had threescore and ten sons of his body begotten: for he had many wives.

Ghedeon a avut şaptezeci de fii, ieşiţi din el, căci a avut mai multe neveste.

Now Gideon had seventy sons, his own offspring, for he had many wives.

A sikemi másodfelesége is szült neki egy fiút, akinek az Abímelek nevet adta.

És az ő ágyasa is, a ki Sikemben volt, szült néki egy fiat, és nevezé azt Abiméleknek.

And his concubine that was in Shechem, she also bare him a son, whose name he called Abimelech.

Ţiitoarea lui, care era la Sihem, i-a născut de asemenea un fiu, căruia i-au pus numele Abimelec.

And his concubine who was in Shechem also bore him a son, and he called his name Abimelech.

Azután meghalt Gedeon, Jóás fia késő vénségében, és eltemették apjának, Jóásnak a sírjába Ofrában, Abíezer városában.

Miután Gedeon meghalt, Izráel fiai újra a Baalokkal paráználkodtak, és Baal-Berítet tették istenükké.

And it came to pass, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baalberith their god.

And the children of Israel remembered not the LORD their God, who had delivered them out of the hands of all their enemies on every side:

And the people of Israel did not remember the LORD their God, who had delivered them from the hand of all their enemies on every side,

És nem cselekedtek irgalmasságot Jerubbaal-Gedeon házával mindazért a jóért, amit ő tett Izráellel.

És nem cselekedének irgalmasságot a Jerubbaál Gedeon házával mind ama jók szerint, a melyeket ő tett vala az Izráellel.

Neither shewed they kindness to the house of Jerubbaal, namely, Gideon, according to all the goodness which he had shewed unto Israel.

Şi n-au ţinut la casa lui Ierubaal, a lui Ghedeon, după tot binele pe care-l făcuse el lui Israel.

and they did not show steadfast love to the family of Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) in return for all the good that he had done to Israel.
