Jó reggel fölkelt Jerubbaal – azaz Gedeon – és az egész nép, amely vele volt, és tábort ütöttek Haród kútjánál. A midjáni tábor tőle északra, a Móre-halom lábánál, a völgyben volt.

Felkele pedig jó reggel Jerubbaál - ez Gedeon - és az egész nép, mely vele volt, és táborba szállának a Haród kútjánál, és a Midián tábora tőle északra volt, a Moré halomtól fogva, a völgyben.

Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod: so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.

Then Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the people who were with him rose early and encamped beside the spring of Harod. And the camp of Midian was north of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.

Ekkor azt mondta az ÚR Gedeonnak: Több ez a nép, amely veled van, hogysem kezébe adhatnám Midjánt. Mert Izráel még dicsekednék velem szemben, és azt mondaná: Az én kezem szabadított meg engem!

And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.

Domnul a zis lui Ghedeon: „Poporul pe care-l ai cu tine este prea mult, pentru ca să dau pe Madian în mâinile lui; el ar putea să se laude împotriva Mea şi să zică: „Mâna mea m-a izbăvit.”

The LORD said to Gideon, “The people with you are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hand, lest Israel boast over me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’

Ezért így kiálts a nép füle hallatára: Aki fél és retteg, térjen vissza, és távozzon a Gileád hegyéről! Erre a nép közül huszonkétezren visszatértek, és csak tízezren maradtak ott.

Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.

Now therefore proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and trembling, let him return home and hurry away from Mount Gilead.’” Then 22,000 of the people returned, and 10,000 remained.

Majd ezt mondta az ÚR Gedeonnak: Még ez a nép is sok. Vezesd le őket a vízhez, és ott próbára teszem őket. Akiről azt mondom neked, hogy menjen veled, az menjen el veled. De ha bárkiről azt mondom, hogy ne menjen veled, az ne is menjen.

And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.

Domnul a zis lui Ghedeon: „Poporul este încă prea mult. Coboară-i la apă, şi acolo ţi-i voi alege; acela despre care îţi voi spune: „Acesta să meargă cu tine”, va merge cu tine; şi acela despre care îţi voi spune: „Acesta să nu meargă cu tine”, nu va merge cu tine.”

And the LORD said to Gideon, “The people are still too many. Take them down to the water, and I will test them for you there, and anyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ shall go with you, and anyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ shall not go.”

Ekkor levezette a népet a vízhez, és ezt mondta az ÚR Gedeonnak: Mindazokat, akik a nyelvükkel nyaldosnak a vízből, mint ahogy a kutya, állítsd külön, valamint azokat is, akik térdre esnek, hogy igyanak.

So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.

Ghedeon a coborât poporul la apă, şi Domnul a zis lui Ghedeon: „Pe toţi cei ce vor lipăi apă cu limba, cum lipăie câinele, să-i desparţi de toţi cei ce vor bea apă din genunchi.”

So he brought the people down to the water. And the LORD said to Gideon, “Every one who laps the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set by himself. Likewise, every one who kneels down to drink.”

És azoknak száma, akik kezüket szájukhoz véve nyaldosták a vizet, háromszáz volt. A nép többi része pedig mind térdre esve ivott.

And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.

Cei ce au lipăit apa, ducând-o la gură cu mâna, au fost în număr de trei sute de oameni; şi tot poporul celălalt a îngenuncheat ca să bea.

And the number of those who lapped, putting their hands to their mouths, was 300 men, but all the rest of the people knelt down to drink water.

Ekkor így szólt az ÚR Gedeonhoz: E háromszáz férfi által szabadítalak meg titeket, és adom kezedbe Midjánt, akik nyaldosták a vizet. A többiek mind menjenek haza.

És monda az Úr Gedeonnak: E háromszáz férfiú által szabadítlak meg titeket, a kik nyaldosták vala [a vizet,] és adom Midiánt kezedbe; a többi nép pedig menjen el, kiki a maga helyére.

And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.

Şi Domnul a zis lui Ghedeon: „Cu cei trei sute de oameni care au lipăit, vă voi mântui şi voi da pe Madian în mâinile tale. Toţi ceilalţi din popor să se ducă fiecare acasă.

And the LORD said to Gideon, “With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home.”

A nép útravalóját és kürtjeit ők vették a kezükbe, a többi izráeli férfit pedig mind elküldte, mindenkit a maga sátrába, és csak a háromszáz férfit tartotta meg. Midján tábora pedig alattuk feküdt a völgyben.

És ők kezökbe vevék a népnek útravalóját és kürtjeit. Az Izráel [többi] férfiait pedig mind elküldötte, mindeniket a maga hajlékába, és [csak] a háromszáz férfiút tartotta meg. A Midián tábora pedig alatta feküdt a völgyben.

So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley.

Au luat merindea poporului şi trâmbiţele lui. Apoi Ghedeon a trimis pe toţi bărbaţii lui Israel, pe fiecare în cortul lui, şi a ţinut pe cei trei sute de oameni. Tabăra lui Madian era jos în vale.

So the people took provisions in their hands, and their trumpets. And he sent all the rest of Israel every man to his tent, but retained the 300 men. And the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.

Azon az éjszakán azt mondta neki az ÚR: Kelj föl, menj le a táborba, mert kezedbe adtam őket!

És monda néki az Úr azon az éjszakán: Kelj fel, menj alá a táborba, mert kezedbe adtam őket.

And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand.

Domnul a zis lui Ghedeon în timpul nopţii: „Scoală-te şi coboară-te în tabără, căci am dat-o în mâinile tale.

That same night the LORD said to him, “Arise, go down against the camp, for I have given it into your hand.

Ha pedig félsz lemenni, menj le a táborhoz te és Pura, a szolgád.

Ha pedig félsz lemenni, menj le te és Púra, a te szolgád a táborba.

But if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phurah thy servant down to the host:

Dacă ţi-e frică să te cobori, coboară-te cu Pura, slujitorul tău.

But if you are afraid to go down, go down to the camp with Purah your servant.

Hallgasd meg, mit beszélnek, hogy azután megerősödjön a kezed, és lemenj a táborba. Ekkor lement Purával, a szolgájával a fegyveresek szélső őrhelyéig, akik a táborban voltak.

And thou shalt hear what they say; and afterward shall thine hands be strengthened to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phurah his servant unto the outside of the armed men that were in the host.

And you shall hear what they say, and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp.” Then he went down with Purah his servant to the outposts of the armed men who were in the camp.

A midjániak, amálékiek és kelet fiai úgy ellepték a völgyet, mint a sáskák sokasága, és tevéiknek nem volt se szeri, se száma, mint a homoknak, amely a tenger partján van.

And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.

Madian, Amalec şi toţi fiii răsăritului erau răspândiţi în vale, ca o mulţime de lăcuste, şi cămilele lor erau fără număr, ca nisipul de pe marginea mării.

And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the people of the East lay along the valley like locusts in abundance, and their camels were without number, as the sand that is on the seashore in abundance.

Mikor pedig Gedeon odaért, az egyik férfi éppen az álmát mondta el a másiknak. Ezt mondta: Íme, azt az álmot láttam, hogy egy sült árpakenyér gurult le a midjániak táborára, és amikor a sátorhoz ért, úgy oldalba vágta, hogy ledőlt. Fölfordította azt, és a sátor összedőlt.

And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along.

Ghedeon a sosit; şi iată că un om istorisea tovarăşului său un vis. El zicea: „Am visat un vis; şi se făcea că o turtă de orz se rostogolea în tabăra lui Madian; a venit de s-a lovit până la cort, şi cortul a căzut; l-a răsturnat cu susul în jos, şi cortul a fost dărâmat.”

When Gideon came, behold, a man was telling a dream to his comrade. And he said, “Behold, I dreamed a dream, and behold, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian and came to the tent and struck it so that it fell and turned it upside down, so that the tent lay flat.”

Társa pedig így felelt neki: Nem más ez, mint az izráeli Gedeonnak, Jóás fiának fegyvere. Kezébe adta Isten Midjánt és egész táborát.

A másik aztán felele és monda: Nem egyéb ez, mint Gedeonnak, a Joás fiának, az Izráelből való férfiúnak fegyvere, az ő kezébe adta az Isten Midiánt és egész táborát.

And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.

And his comrade answered, “This is no other than the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel; God has given into his hand Midian and all the camp.”

Amikor Gedeon hallotta az álom elbeszélését és magyarázatát, leborult imádkozni, majd visszatért Izráel táborába, és azt mondta: Keljetek föl, mert kezetekbe adta az ÚR Midján táborát!

And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.

As soon as Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, he worshiped. And he returned to the camp of Israel and said, “Arise, for the LORD has given the host of Midian into your hand.”

A háromszáz embert három csapatba osztotta, és egy-egy kürtöt adott mindenkinek a kezébe, és üres cserépkorsót és fáklyát minden korsóba.

And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.

And he divided the 300 men into three companies and put trumpets into the hands of all of them and empty jars, with torches inside the jars.

Majd ezt mondta nekik: Rám figyeljetek, és aszerint cselekedjetek. Íme, lemegyek a tábor szélére, és akkor ti is úgy cselekedjetek, ahogy én.

És monda nékik: Én reám vigyázzatok, és úgy cselekedjetek. És ímé én bemegyek a tábornak szélibe, és akkor, a mint én cselekszem, [ti is] úgy cselekedjetek.

And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.

El le-a zis: „Să vă uitaţi la mine şi să faceţi ca mine. Cum voi ajunge în tabără, să faceţi ce voi face eu;

And he said to them, “Look at me, and do likewise. When I come to the outskirts of the camp, do as I do.

Ha megfújom a kürtöt én meg a velem levők mind, akkor ti is fújjátok meg a kürtöket az egész tábor körül, és ezt kiáltsátok: Az ÚRért és Gedeonért!

Ha én a kürtbe fúvok és mindazok, a kik velem vannak, akkor ti is fújjátok meg a kürtöket az egész tábor körül, és ezt kiáltsátok: az Úrért és Gedeonért!

When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.

şi când voi suna din trâmbiţă, eu şi toţi cei ce vor fi cu mine, să sunaţi şi voi din trâmbiţă de jur împrejurul taberei şi să ziceţi: „Sabia Domnului şi a lui Ghedeon!”

When I blow the trumpet, I and all who are with me, then blow the trumpets also on every side of all the camp and shout, ‘For the LORD and for Gideon.’”

So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.

So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outskirts of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, when they had just set the watch. And they blew the trumpets and smashed the jars that were in their hands.

Ekkor kürtölni kezdett mind a három csapat, összetörték a cserépkorsókat, és bal kezükben tartották a fáklyát, jobb kezükben pedig a kürtöt, hogy kürtölhessenek, és így kiáltottak: Fegyverre! Az ÚRért és Gedeonért!

And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.

Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the jars. They held in their left hands the torches, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow. And they cried out, “A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!”

And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.

Every man stood in his place around the camp, and all the army ran. They cried out and fled.

And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.

Cei trei sute de oameni au sunat iarăşi din trâmbiţă; şi, în toată tabăra, Domnul i-a făcut să întoarcă sabia unii împotriva altora. Tabăra a fugit până la Bet-Şita spre Ţerera, până la hotarul de la Abel-Mehola lângă Tabat.

When they blew the 300 trumpets, the LORD set every man’s sword against his comrade and against all the army. And the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath.

Ekkor fegyverbe szólították az izráelieket Naftáliból, Ásérból és egész Manasséból, és üldözőbe vették a midjániakat.

And the men of Israel gathered themselves together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher, and out of all Manasseh, and pursued after the Midianites.

Gedeon követeket küldött Efraim egész hegyvidékére ezzel az üzenettel: Jöjjetek le a midjániak ellen, és foglaljátok el a vízhez vezető utat, a Bétbárától a Jordánig vezető utat. És egybegyűlt Efraim minden embere, és elzárták a vizeket Bétbárától a Jordánig.

And Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim, saying, come down against the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and took the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan.

Gideon sent messengers throughout all the hill country of Ephraim, saying, “Come down against the Midianites and capture the waters against them, as far as Beth-barah, and also the Jordan.” So all the men of Ephraim were called out, and they captured the waters as far as Beth-barah, and also the Jordan.

And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side Jordan.

And they captured the two princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb they killed at the winepress of Zeeb. Then they pursued Midian, and they brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon across the Jordan.
