Gonoszul cselekedtek Izráel fiai az ÚR szeme előtt, ezért Midján kezébe adta őket hét esztendeig.

És gonoszul cselekedének az Izráel fiai az Úrnak szemei előtt, azért adá őket az Úr a Midiániták kezébe hét esztendeig.

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

Copiii lui Israel au făcut ce nu plăcea Domnului; şi Domnul i-a dat în mâinile lui Madian, timp de şapte ani.

The people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, and the LORD gave them into the hand of Midian seven years.

Midján keze súlyosan nehezedett Izráelre. Midjántól való félelmükben készítették maguknak Izráel fiai azokat a barlangokat, rejtekhelyeket és erősségeket, amelyek a hegységekben vannak.

És hatalmat vőn a Midiániták keze az Izráelen, és a Midiánitáktól [való féltökben] készítették magoknak az Izráel fiai [azokat] a barlangokat, rejtekhelyeket és erősségeket, a melyek a hegységben vannak.

And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.

And the hand of Midian overpowered Israel, and because of Midian the people of Israel made for themselves the dens that are in the mountains and the caves and the strongholds.

And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;

După ce semăna Israel, Madian se suia cu Amalec şi fiii răsăritului şi porneau împotriva lui.

For whenever the Israelites planted crops, the Midianites and the Amalekites and the people of the East would come up against them.

Táborba szálltak ellenük, és pusztították földjük termését egészen a Gázába vivő útig, és nem hagytak élelmet Izráelben, sőt egyetlen juhot, ökröt vagy szamarat sem.

És táborba szálltak ellenök, és pusztították a földnek termését egész addig, a merre Gázába járnak, és nem hagytak élésre valót Izráelben, sem juhot, sem ökröt, sem szamarat.

And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.

Tăbărau în faţa lui, nimiceau roadele ţării până spre Gaza; şi nu lăsau în Israel nici merinde, nici oi, nici boi, nici măgari.

They would encamp against them and devour the produce of the land, as far as Gaza, and leave no sustenance in Israel and no sheep or ox or donkey.

Mert jószágaikkal és sátraikkal vonultak föl, csapatosan jöttek, mint a sáskák. Maguknak és tevéiknek száma sem volt, és ellepték a földet, hogy elpusztítsák.

For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.

For they would come up with their livestock and their tents; they would come like locusts in number—both they and their camels could not be counted—so that they laid waste the land as they came in.

Mikor azért igen megnyomorodott Izráel a midjániak miatt, az ÚRhoz kiáltottak Izráel fiai.

And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.

Israel a ajuns foarte nenorocit din pricina lui Madian, şi copiii lui Israel au strigat către Domnul.

And Israel was brought very low because of Midian. And the people of Israel cried out for help to the LORD.

Mikor pedig Midján miatt Izráel fiai az ÚRhoz kiáltottak,

Mikor pedig kiáltottak vala az Izráel fiai az Úrhoz Midián miatt:

And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites,

Când copiii lui Israel au strigat către Domnul din pricina lui Madian,

When the people of Israel cried out to the LORD on account of the Midianites,

prófétát küldött az ÚR Izráel fiaihoz, aki ezt mondta nekik: Így szól az ÚR, Izráel Istene: Én vezettelek ki titeket Egyiptomból, és én hoztalak ki titeket a szolgaság házából.

Prófétát külde az Úr az Izráel fiaihoz, és monda nékik: Azt mondja az Úr, Izráel Istene: Én vezettelek fel titeket Égyiptomból, és hoztalak ki titeket a szolgálatnak házából,

That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;

Domnul a trimis copiilor lui Israel un proroc. El le-a zis: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel: „Eu v-am scos din Egipt, Eu v-am scos din casa robiei.

the LORD sent a prophet to the people of Israel. And he said to them, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: I led you up from Egypt and brought you out of the house of slavery.

Én mentettelek meg benneteket az egyiptomiak kezéből és minden nyomorgatótok kezéből, kiűztem őket előletek, és nektek adtam földjüket.

És én mentettelek meg benneteket az Égyiptombeliek kezéből, és minden nyomorgatóitoknak kezökből, a kiket kiűztem előletek, és néktek adtam az ő földjüket.

And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;

V-am scăpat din mâna egiptenilor şi din mâna tuturor celor ce vă apăsau; i-am izgonit dinaintea voastră şi v-am dat vouă ţara lor.

And I delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out before you and gave you their land.

És ezt mondtam nektek: Én, az ÚR vagyok a ti Istenetek, ne féljétek az emóriak isteneit, akiknek a földjén laktok. De ti nem hallgattatok szavamra.

És mondék néktek: Én, az Úr, vagyok a ti Istenetek; ne féljétek az Emoreusok isteneit, kiknek földén laktok; de ti nem hallgattatok az én szómra.

And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.

V-am zis: „Eu sunt Domnul Dumnezeul vostru; să nu vă temeţi de dumnezeii amoriţilor, în a căror ţară locuiţi.” Dar voi n-aţi ascultat glasul Meu.”

And I said to you, ‘I am the LORD your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell.’ But you have not obeyed my voice.”

Azután eljött az ÚR angyala, és leült a tölgyfa alatt, amely Ofrában van, amely az Abíezer nemzetségéből való Jóásé volt. Fia, Gedeon éppen búzát csépelt a pajtában, hogy megmentse a midjániak elől.

És eljöve az Úrnak angyala, és leüle ama cserfa alatt, a mely Ofrában van, a mely az Abiézer nemzetségéből való Joásé vala, és az ő fia Gedeon épen búzát csépelt a pajtában, hogy megmentse a Midiániták orczája elől.

And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

Apoi a venit Îngerul Domnului şi S-a aşezat sub stejarul din Ofra, care era al lui Ioas, din familia lui Abiezer. Ghedeon, fiul său, bătea grâu în teasc ca să-l ascundă de Madian.

Now the angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth at Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the winepress to hide it from the Midianites.

Ekkor megjelent neki az ÚR angyala, és ezt mondta: Az ÚR veled, erős férfiú!

Ekkor megjelenék néki az Úrnak angyala, és monda néki: Az Úr veled, erős férfiú!

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

Îngerul Domnului i S-a arătat şi i-a zis: „Domnul este cu tine, viteazule!”

And the angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, “The LORD is with you, O mighty man of valor.”

Gedeon azonban így felelt neki: Kérlek, Uram, ha velünk van az ÚR, miért ért bennünket mindez? Hol van mindaz a csoda, amelyekről atyáink beszéltek nekünk, amikor ezt mondták: Nem az ÚR hozott-e ki minket Egyiptomból? Most pedig elhagyott minket az ÚR és a midjániak kezébe adott.

Gedeon pedig monda néki: Kérlek uram, ha velünk van az Úr, miért ért bennünket mindez? és hol vannak minden ő csoda dolgai, a melyekről beszéltek nékünk atyáink, mondván: Nem az Úr hozott-é fel minket Égyiptomból?! Most pedig elhagyott minket az Úr, és adott a Midiániták kezébe.

And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Ghedeon I-a zis: „Rogu-te, domnul meu, dacă Domnul este cu noi, pentru ce ni s-au întâmplat toate aceste lucruri? Şi unde sunt toate minunile acelea pe care ni le istorisesc părinţii noştri când spun: „Nu ne-a scos oare Domnul din Egipt?” Acum Domnul ne părăseşte şi ne dă în mâinile lui Madian!”

And Gideon said to him, “Please, my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all his wonderful deeds that our fathers recounted to us, saying, ‘Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has forsaken us and given us into the hand of Midian.”

Ekkor az ÚR hozzá fordult, és azt mondta: Menj el, és a te erőddel szabadítsd meg Izráelt Midján markából! Én küldelek téged!

És az Úr hozzá fordula, és monda: Menj el ezzel a te erőddel, és megszabadítod Izráelt Midián kezéből. Nemde, én küldelek téged?

And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

Domnul S-a uitat la el şi a zis: „Du-te cu puterea aceasta pe care o ai şi izbăveşte pe Israel din mâna lui Madian; oare nu te trimit Eu?”

And the LORD turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours and save Israel from the hand of Midian; do not I send you?”

Erre azt mondta Gedeon: Kérlek, Uram, hogyan szabadítsam meg Izráelt? Íme, az én nemzetségem a legszegényebb Manasséban, és én vagyok a legkisebb atyám házában.

És monda néki: Kérlek uram, miképen szabadítsam én meg Izráelt? Ímé az én nemzetségem a legszegényebb Manasséban, és én vagyok a legkisebb atyámnak házában.

And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.

Ghedeon I-a zis: „Rogu-te, domnul meu, cu ce să izbăvesc pe Israel? Iată că familia mea este cea mai săracă din Manase, şi eu sunt cel mai mic din casa tatălui meu.”

And he said to him, “Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”

Az ÚR így válaszolt neki: Én veled leszek, és úgy megvered Midjánt, mintha csak egy ember volna!

És monda néki az Úr: Én leszek veled, és megvered Midiánt, mint egy embert.

And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

Domnul i-a zis: „Eu voi fi cu tine, şi vei bate pe Madian ca pe un singur om.”

And the LORD said to him, “But I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.”

Ő pedig így válaszolt: Ha kegyelmet találtam a szemedben, kérlek, adj nekem valamilyen jelt, hogy valóban te beszélsz velem.

Ő pedig monda néki: Ha kegyelmet találtam a te szemeid előtt, kérlek, adj nékem valamely jelt, hogy te szólasz én velem.

And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.

Ghedeon I-a zis: „Dacă am căpătat trecere înaintea Ta, dă-mi un semn ca să-mi arăţi că Tu îmi vorbeşti.

And he said to him, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, then show me a sign that it is you who speak with me.

Kérlek, el ne menj innen, míg vissza nem jövök hozzád, ki nem hozom az áldozatomat, és le nem teszem eléd. Ő pedig azt mondta: Itt maradok, míg vissza nem térsz.

El ne menj kérlek innen, míg vissza nem jövök hozzád, és ki nem hozom az én áldozatomat, és le nem teszem elődbe. Az pedig monda: Én itt leszek, míg visszatérsz.

Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.

Nu Te depărta de aici până mă voi întoarce la Tine, să-mi aduc darul şi să-l pun înaintea Ta.” Şi Domnul a zis: „Voi rămâne până te vei întoarce.”

Please do not depart from here until I come to you and bring out my present and set it before you.” And he said, “I will stay till you return.”

Gedeon pedig elment, elkészített egy kecskegödölyét és egy efa lisztből kovásztalan pogácsákat. A húst egy kosárba tette, a levét meg egy fazékba, azután kivitte hozzá a tölgyfa alá, és odatette eléje.

Gedeon pedig elméne, és elkészíte egy kecskegödölyét és egy efa lisztből kovásztalan pogácsákat, [és] betevé a húst egy kosárba, és a [hús] levét fazékba, és kivivé hozzá a cserfa alá, és felajánlá néki.

And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.

Ghedeon a intrat în casă, a pregătit un ied şi a făcut azime dintr-o efă de făină. A pus carnea într-un coş, şi zeama a turnat-o într-o oală, le-a adus sub stejar şi I le-a pus înainte.

So Gideon went into his house and prepared a young goat and unleavened cakes from an ephah of flour. The meat he put in a basket, and the broth he put in a pot, and brought them to him under the terebinth and presented them.

Isten angyala ekkor azt mondta neki: Vedd a húst és a kovásztalan kenyereket, rakd erre a kősziklára, és a hús levét öntsd rá! És úgy cselekedett.

És monda néki az Isten angyala: Vegyed a húst és a kovásztalan kenyereket, és rakd erre a kősziklára, és a hús levét öntsd rá. És úgy cselekedék.

And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.

Îngerul lui Dumnezeu i-a zis: „Ia carnea şi azimele, pune-le pe stânca aceasta şi varsă zeama.” Şi el a făcut aşa.

And the angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened cakes, and put them on this rock, and pour the broth over them.” And he did so.

Ekkor kinyújtotta az ÚR angyala a kezében levő pálcát, és a végével megérintette a húst és a kovásztalan kenyeret. Erre tűz csapott ki a kősziklából, és megemésztette a húst és a kovásztalan kenyereket. Az ÚR angyala pedig eltűnt a szeme elől.

Ekkor kinyújtá az Úrnak angyala pálczájának végét, mely kezében vala, és megérinté a húst, és a kovásztalan kenyeret; és tűz jött ki a kősziklából, és megemészté a húst és a kovásztalan kenyereket. Az Úrnak angyala pedig eltünt az ő szemei elől.

Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.

Îngerul Domnului a întins vârful toiagului pe care-l avea în mână şi a atins carnea şi azimele. Atunci, s-a ridicat din stâncă un foc care a mistuit carnea şi azimele. Şi Îngerul Domnului S-a făcut nevăzut dinaintea lui.

Then the angel of the LORD reached out the tip of the staff that was in his hand and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes. And fire sprang up from the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. And the angel of the LORD vanished from his sight.

Amikor látta Gedeon, hogy az ÚR angyala volt az, ezt mondta: Jaj nekem, URam, Istenem, mert az ÚR angyalát láttam színről színre!

Látván pedig Gedeon, hogy az Úrnak angyala volt az, monda Gedeon: Jaj nékem Uram, Istenem! mert az Úrnak angyalát láttam színről színre!

And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O LORD God! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.

Ghedeon, văzând că fusese Îngerul Domnului, a zis: „Vai de mine, Stăpâne Doamne! Am văzut pe Îngerul Domnului faţă-n faţă.”

Then Gideon perceived that he was the angel of the LORD. And Gideon said, “Alas, O Lord GOD! For now I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face.”

Az ÚR azonban ezt mondta neki: Békesség neked! Ne félj, nem halsz meg!

És monda néki az Úr: Békesség néked! ne félj, nem halsz meg!

And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.

Şi Domnul i-a zis: „Fii pe pace, nu te teme, căci nu vei muri.”

But the LORD said to him, “Peace be to you. Do not fear; you shall not die.”

Ezért Gedeon oltárt épített ott az ÚRnak, és Jehova-Sálómnak nevezte (amely azt jelenti: „az ÚR a békesség”); s ez mindmáig megvan Abíezer nemzetségének földjén, Ofrában.

És építe ott Gedeon oltárt az Úrnak, és nevezé azt Jehova-Salomnak [(azaz: az Úr a béke),] mely mind e mai napig megvan az Abiézer nemzetségének [városában,] Ofrában.

Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

Ghedeon a zidit acolo un altar Domnului şi i-a pus numele „Domnul păcii”: altarul aceasta este şi astăzi la Ofra, care era a familiei lui Abiezer.

Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD and called it, The LORD Is Peace. To this day it still stands at Ophrah, which belongs to the Abiezrites.

Ugyanazon az éjjelen ezt mondta neki az ÚR: Végy egy bikát apád barmai közül, és egy másik hétéves bikát is, és rontsd le apád Baal-oltárát. A mellette lévő Asérát is vágd ki.

És lőn ugyanazon éjjel, hogy monda az Úr néki: Végy egy tulkot atyádnak ökrei közül, és egy másik tulkot, a mely hét éves, és rontsd le a Baál oltárát, a mely a te atyádé és a berket, a mely a mellett van, vágd ki.

And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:

În aceeaşi noapte, Domnul a zis lui Ghedeon: „Ia viţelul tatălui tău şi un alt taur de şapte ani. Dărâmă altarul lui Baal, care este al tatălui tău, şi taie parul închinat Astarteii, care este deasupra.

That night the LORD said to him, “Take your father’s bull, and the second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the Asherah that is beside it

Azután építs oltárt az ÚRnak, a te Istenednek ennek a megerősített helynek a tetején, alkalmas helyen, és vedd a másik bikát, és áldozd fel égőáldozatul az Asérá kivágott fájával.

És építs oltárt az Úrnak, a te Istenednek, ennek a megerősített helynek tetején alkalmatos helyen, és vedd a második tulkot, és áldozd meg égőáldozatul a berek fájával, a melyet kivágsz.

And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.

Să zideşti apoi şi să întocmeşti, pe vârful acestei stânci, un altar Domnului Dumnezeului tău. Să iei taurul al doilea şi să aduci o ardere de tot, cu lemnul din stâlpul idolului pe care-l vei tăia.”

and build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of the stronghold here, with stones laid in due order. Then take the second bull and offer it as a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah that you shall cut down.”

Ekkor Gedeon tíz férfit vett maga mellé szolgái közül, és úgy cselekedett, ahogy megmondta neki az ÚR. De mivel félt apja háza népétől és a város férfiaitól, nem merte nappal cselekedni ezt, hanem éjszaka tette meg.

Ekkor Gedeon tíz férfiút vőn [maga mellé] az ő szolgái közül, és a képen cselekedék, a mint megmondotta vala néki az Úr. De [miután] félt atyjának háznépétől és a városnak férfiaitól ezt nappal cselekedni, éjszaka tevé meg.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father's household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.

Ghedeon a luat zece oameni dintre slujitorii lui şi a făcut ce spusese Domnul; dar, fiindcă se temea de casa tatălui său şi de oamenii din cetate, a făcut lucrul acesta noaptea, nu ziua.

So Gideon took ten men of his servants and did as the LORD had told him. But because he was too afraid of his family and the men of the town to do it by day, he did it by night.

Mikor másnap reggel fölkeltek a város férfiai, íme, már össze volt törve a Baal oltára, és kivágva a mellette levő Asérá, és ott volt a második bika a fölépített oltáron.

Mikor aztán felkeltek reggel a városnak férfiai, íme [már] össze volt törve a Baál oltára, és levágva a mellette levő berek, és a második tulok égőáldozatul azon az oltáron, a mely építteték.

And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.

Când s-au sculat oamenii din cetate dis-de-dimineaţă, iată că altarul lui Baal era dărâmat, parul închinat idolului deasupra lui era tăiat; şi al doilea taur era adus ca ardere de tot pe altarul care fusese zidit.

When the men of the town rose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was broken down, and the Asherah beside it was cut down, and the second bull was offered on the altar that had been built.

Ekkor ezt mondogatták egymásnak: Vajon ki cselekedte ezt? Amikor utánakérdeztek és érdeklődtek, azt mondták: Gedeon, Jóás fia tette ezt.

És mondának egyik a másikának: Ki cselekedte ezt? És [mikor] utána kérdezősködtek és tudakozódtak, azt mondották: Gedeon, a Joás fia cselekedte ezt a dolgot.

And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.

Ei şi-au zis unul altuia: „Cine a făcut lucrul acesta?” Şi au întrebat şi au făcut cercetări. Li s-a spus: „Ghedeon, fiul lui Ioas, a făcut lucrul acesta.”

And they said to one another, “Who has done this thing?” And after they had searched and inquired, they said, “Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing.”

Ekkor azt mondták a városbeli férfiak Jóásnak: Add ki a fiadat, meg kell halnia, mert lerontotta a Baal oltárát, és kivágta mellőle az Asérát.

Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it.

Atunci oamenii din cetate au zis lui Ioas: „Scoate pe fiul tău, ca să moară, căci a dărâmat altarul lui Baal şi a tăiat parul sfânt care era deasupra lui.”

Then the men of the town said to Joash, “Bring out your son, that he may die, for he has broken down the altar of Baal and cut down the Asherah beside it.”

Jóás azonban ezt mondta mindazoknak, akik vele szemben álltak: Baalért pereltek? Hát ti oltalmazzátok meg őt? Aki perel érte, az haljon meg reggelig. Ha isten ő, hát pereljen ő maga, hogy lerontották az oltárát!

Joás pedig monda mindazoknak, a kik körülötte állának: Baálért pereltek ti? Avagy ti oltalmazzátok-é őtet? Valaki perel ő érette, ölettessék meg reggelig. Ha isten ő, hát pereljen ő maga, hogy oltára lerontatott!

And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.

Ioas a răspuns tuturor celor ce s-au înfăţişat înaintea lui: „Oare datoria voastră este să apăraţi pe Baal? Voi trebuie să-i veniţi în ajutor? Oricine va lua apărarea lui Baal să moară până dimineaţă. Dacă Baal este un dumnezeu, să-şi apere el pricina, fiindcă i-au dărâmat altarul.”

But Joash said to all who stood against him, “Will you contend for Baal? Or will you save him? Whoever contends for him shall be put to death by morning. If he is a god, let him contend for himself, because his altar has been broken down.”

Azon a napon elnevezték őt Jerubbaalnak, mert ezt mondták: Pereljen vele a Baal, mert lerontotta az oltárát!

És azon a napon elnevezték őt Jerubbaálnak, mondván: Pereljen ő vele Baál, mert lerontotta az ő oltárát.

Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.

În ziua aceea au pus lui Ghedeon numele Ierubaal căci au zis ei: „Apere-se Baal împotriva lui, fiindcă i-a dărâmat altarul.”

Therefore on that day Gideon was called Jerubbaal, that is to say, “Let Baal contend against him,” because he broke down his altar.

Amikor az egész Midján és Amálék és a kelet fiai összegyűltek, és átkeltek a Jordánon, és tábort ütöttek Jezréel völgyében,

És mikor az egész Midián és Amálek és a Napkeletiek egybegyűlének, és általkeltek [a Jordánon], és tábort jártak a Jezréel völgyében:

Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.

Tot Madianul, Amalec şi fiii răsăritului, s-au strâns împreună, au trecut Iordanul şi au tăbărât în valea Izreel.

Now all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the people of the East came together, and they crossed the Jordan and encamped in the Valley of Jezreel.

But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered after him.

Ghedeon a fost îmbrăcat cu Duhul Domnului; a sunat din trâmbiţă, şi Abiezer a fost chemat ca să meargă după el.

But the Spirit of the LORD clothed Gideon, and he sounded the trumpet, and the Abiezrites were called out to follow him.

Követeket küldött egész Manasséba, és az is mögéje sereglett. Követeket küldött Ásérba és Zebulonba és Naftáliba, és ők is fölvonultak.

És követeket külde egész Manasséba, és egybegyűle az is ő utána; és követeket külde Aserbe és Zebulonba és Nafthaliba, és feljövének eleikbe.

And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.

A trimis soli în tot Manase, care de asemenea a fost chemat să meargă după el. A trimis soli în Aşer, în Zabulon şi în Neftali, care s-au suit să le iasă înainte.

And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, and they too were called out to follow him. And he sent messengers to Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali, and they went up to meet them.

Ekkor Gedeon ezt mondta Istennek: Ha csakugyan az én kezem által akarod megszabadítani Izráelt, ahogy megígérted,

És monda Gedeon az Istennek: Ha [csakugyan] az én kezem által akarod megszabadítani Izráelt, a miképen mondottad,

And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,

Ghedeon a zis lui Dumnezeu: „Dacă vrei să izbăveşti pe Israel prin mâna mea, cum ai spus,

Then Gideon said to God, “If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said,

íme, egy fürt gyapjat teszek a szérűre, és ha csak maga a gyapjú lesz harmatos, az egész föld pedig száraz lesz: erről megtudom, hogy valóban az én kezem által szabadítod meg Izráelt, ahogy megígérted.

Íme egy fürt gyapjat teszek a szérűre, [és] ha csak maga a gyapjú lesz harmatos, míg az egész föld száraz leénd: erről megtudom, hogy [valóban] az én kezem által szabadítod meg Izráelt, a mint mondottad.

Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.

iată, voi pune un val de lână în arie; dacă numai lâna va fi acoperită de rouă, şi tot pământul va rămâne uscat, voi cunoaşte că vei izbăvi pe Israel prin mâna mea, cum ai spus.”

behold, I am laying a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece alone, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said.”

És úgy lett. Mert amikor másnap reggel fölkelt, és megszorította a gyapjat, harmatot facsart ki a gyapjúból, egy tele csészényi vizet.

És úgy lőn. Mert mikor másnap reggel felkelt, és megszorítá a gyapjat, harmatot facsart ki a gyapjúból, egy tele csésze vizet.

And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.

Şi aşa s-a întâmplat. În ziua următoare, el s-a sculat dis-de-dimineaţă, a stors lâna şi a scos roua din ea, care a dat un pahar plin cu apă.

And it was so. When he rose early next morning and squeezed the fleece, he wrung enough dew from the fleece to fill a bowl with water.

Majd Gedeon így szólt Istenhez: Ne gerjedjen föl haragod ellenem, hogy még egyszer szólok. Hadd tegyek próbát, kérlek, még egyszer e gyapjúval. Kérlek, legyen száraz csupán a gyapjú, és az egész föld harmatos.

És monda Gedeon az Istennek: Ne gerjedjen fel a te haragod én ellenem, hogy még egyszer szólok. Hadd tegyek kísérletet, kérlek, még egyszer e gyapjúval. Legyen, kérlek, szárazság csak a gyapjún, és harmat az egész földön.

And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.

Ghedeon a zis lui Dumnezeu: „Să nu Te aprinzi de mânie împotriva mea, şi nu voi mai vorbi decât de data aceasta. Aş vrea numai să mai fac o încercare cu lâna: numai lâna să rămână uscată, şi tot pământul să se acopere cu rouă.”

Then Gideon said to God, “Let not your anger burn against me; let me speak just once more. Please let me test just once more with the fleece. Please let it be dry on the fleece only, and on all the ground let there be dew.”

És úgy cselekedett Isten azon az éjszakán: csak maga a gyapjú volt száraz, míg az egész föld harmatos volt.

És úgy cselekedék Isten azon az éjszakán, és lőn szárazság csak magán a gyapjún, míg az egész földön harmat lőn.

And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.

Şi Dumnezeu a făcut aşa în noaptea aceea. Numai lâna a rămas uscată, şi tot pământul s-a acoperit cu rouă.

And God did so that night; and it was dry on the fleece only, and on all the ground there was dew.
