Amikor meghallották ezt mindazok a királyok, akik a Jordánon innen a hegyeken, a síkságokon és a Nagy-tenger partja mentén éltek, le egész Libánonig: a hettiták, emóriak, kánaániak, perizziek, hivviek és a jebúsziak,

Lőn pedig, hogy mikor [ezt] meghallották mind ama királyok, a kik a Jordánon túl a hegyeken és síkon és a nagy tengernek egész partja-mentén valának a Libánon ellenében: a Khittheus, az Emoreus, a Kananeus, a Perizeus, a Khivveus és a Jebuzeus:

And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;

La auzul acestor lucruri, toţi împăraţii care erau dincoace de Iordan, în munte şi în vale, şi pe toată coasta Mării celei Mari, până lângă Liban, hetiţii, amoriţii, canaaniţii, fereziţii, heviţii şi iebusiţii,

As soon as all the kings who were beyond the Jordan in the hill country and in the lowland all along the coast of the Great Sea toward Lebanon, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, heard of this,

összegyűltek, hogy közös erővel megvívjanak Józsuéval és Izráellel.

Egybegyülekezének, hogy megvívjanak Józsuéval és Izráellel egy akarattal.

That they gathered themselves together, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one accord.

s-au unit împreună într-o înţelegere ca să lupte împotriva lui Iosua şi împotriva lui Israel.

they gathered together as one to fight against Joshua and Israel.

De meghallották Gibeón lakói is, amit Józsué Jerikóval és Ajjal cselekedett,

De meghallák Gibeon lakosai is, a mit Józsué Jérikhóval és Aival cselekedett vala.

And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,

Locuitorii din Gabaon, de partea lor, când au auzit ce făcuse Iosua Ierihonului şi cetăţii Ai,

But when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done to Jericho and to Ai,

és ők is ravaszul cselekedtek. Elmentek ugyanis, és követeknek adták ki magukat. Szamaraikra ócska zsákokat és ócska, megrepedezett és összekötözött borostömlőket szereztek,

És ők is ravaszul cselekedének. Elmenének ugyanis és követekül adák ki magokat. Szerzének azért szamaraikra ócska zsákokat, és ócska, megrepedezett és összekötözött boros tömlőket;

They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;

au întrebuinţat un vicleşug şi au pornit la drum cu merinde pentru călătorie. Au luat nişte saci vechi pe măgarii lor şi nişte burdufuri vechi pentru vin, rupte şi cârpite,

they on their part acted with cunning and went and made ready provisions and took worn-out sacks for their donkeys, and wineskins, worn-out and torn and mended,

ócska, megfoltozott sarukat a lábukra és elnyűtt ruhákat magukra. Az útra való kenyerük is mind száraz és penészes volt.

És ócska, megfoltozott sarukat lábaikra, és ócska ruhákat magokra; az útravaló kenyerök is mind száraz és penészes vala.

And old shoes and clouted upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and mouldy.

iar în picioare purtau încălţăminte veche şi cârpită, şi erau îmbrăcaţi cu nişte haine vechi pe ei; iar toată pâinea pe care o aveau pentru hrană era uscată şi mucegăise.

with worn-out, patched sandals on their feet, and worn-out clothes. And all their provisions were dry and crumbly.

Így mentek el Józsuéhoz a táborba, Gilgálba, és azt mondták neki és az izráelieknek: Messze földről jöttünk, kössetek most szövetséget velünk.

Így menének el Józsuéhoz a táborba Gilgálba, és mondának néki, és Izráel férfiainak: Messze földről jöttünk, most azért kössetek frigyet mi velünk.

And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us.

S-au dus la Iosua în tabără la Ghilgal şi i-au zis lui şi tuturor celor din Israel: „Noi venim dintr-o ţară depărtată, acum deci faceţi legământ cu noi.”

And they went to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal and said to him and to the men of Israel, “We have come from a distant country, so now make a covenant with us.”

Az izráeliek pedig azt mondták a hivvieknek: Hátha közöttünk laktok. Hogyan köthetnénk szövetséget veletek?

Izráel férfiai pedig mondának a Khivveusnak: Hátha közöttem lakol te; hogyan kössek azért frigyet te veled?

And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?

Bărbaţii lui Israel au răspuns heviţilor acestora: „Poate că voi locuiţi în mijlocul nostru, cum să facem noi legământ cu voi?”

But the men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us; then how can we make a covenant with you?”

Azok pedig azt mondták Józsuénak: Szolgáid vagyunk! Józsué ezt kérdezte tőlük: Kik vagytok, és honnan jöttetek?

Azok pedig mondának Józsuénak: Szolgáid vagyunk mi! És monda nékik Józsué: Kik vagytok, és honnan jöttetek?

And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye?

Ei au zis lui Iosua: „Noi suntem robii tăi.” Şi Iosua le-a zis: „Cine sunteţi voi şi de unde veniţi?”

They said to Joshua, “We are your servants.” And Joshua said to them, “Who are you? And where do you come from?”

Azt mondták neki: Igen messze földről jöttek szolgáid, az ÚRnak, a te Istenednek nevéért, mert hallottuk az ő hírét és mindazt, amit Egyiptomban cselekedett.

És mondának néki: Igen messze földről jöttek a te szolgáid, az Úrnak, a te Istenednek nevéért, mert hallottuk az ő hírét és mindazt, a mit Égyiptomban cselekedett;

And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,

Ei i-au răspuns: „Robii tăi vin dintr-o ţară foarte depărtată, pentru faima Domnului Dumnezeului tău; căci am auzit vorbindu-se de El, de tot ce a făcut în Egipt

They said to him, “From a very distant country your servants have come, because of the name of the LORD your God. For we have heard a report of him, and all that he did in Egypt,

Azt is mind, amit az emóriak két királyával, Szíhónnal, Hesbón királyával és az astáróti Óggal, Básán királyával cselekedett, akik a Jordánon túl voltak.

Mindazt is, a mit cselekedett az Emoreusok két királyával, a kik valának túl a Jordánon, Szíhonnal, Hesbon királyával és Óggal, Básán királyával, a ki Astarótban vala.

And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.

şi de ce a făcut celor doi împăraţi ai amoriţilor dincolo de Iordan, lui Sihon, împăratul Hesbonului, şi lui Og, împăratul Basanului, care era la Aştarot.

and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon the king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, who lived in Ashtaroth.

Ezért így szóltak nekünk a véneink és földünk minden lakosa: Szerezzetek magatoknak eledelt az útra, menjetek eléjük, és mondjátok nekik: „Szolgáitok vagyunk, most azért kössetek szövetséget velünk!

Ezért szólának nékünk a mi véneink és földünk lakosai is mind, mondván: szerezzetek magatoknak eledelt az útra, és menjetek eléjök, és mondjátok nékik: Szolgáitok vagyunk mi, most azért kössetek frigyet mi velünk!

Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.

Şi bătrânii noştri şi toţi locuitorii din ţara noastră ne-au zis: „Luaţi cu voi merinde pentru călătorie, duceţi-vă înaintea lor şi spuneţi-le: „Noi suntem robii voştri; acum deci faceţi legământ cu noi.”

So our elders and all the inhabitants of our country said to us, ‘Take provisions in your hand for the journey and go to meet them and say to them, “We are your servants. Come now, make a covenant with us.”’

Itt a kenyerünk: még meleg volt, amikor eleségül elhoztuk házainkból, amikor elindultunk, hogy hozzátok jöjjünk. Most, íme, száraz és penészes lett.

Ez a mi kenyerünk meleg volt, a mikor eleségül elhoztuk a mi házainkból elindulván, hogy hozzátok jőjjünk; most ímé, száraz és penészes lett.

This our bread we took hot for our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy:

Iată pâinea noastră: era caldă când am luat-o ca merinde de acasă, în ziua când am plecat să venim la voi, şi acum s-a uscat şi s-a mucegăit.

Here is our bread. It was still warm when we took it from our houses as our food for the journey on the day we set out to come to you, but now, behold, it is dry and crumbly.

Ezek a borostömlők is, amelyeket új korukban töltöttünk meg, íme, hogy megszakadoztak! Ezek a mi ruháink és saruink pedig elnyűttek az igen hosszú út miatt.”

Ezek a boros tömlők is, a melyeket új korukban töltöttünk vala meg, íme, de megszakadoztak; e mi ruháink és saruink pedig megavultak az útnak igen hosszú volta miatt!

And these bottles of wine, which we filled, were new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.

Burdufurile acestea de vin, când le-am umplut, erau noi de tot şi iată-le s-au rupt; hainele şi încălţămintea noastră s-au învechit de lungimea prea mare a drumului.”

These wineskins were new when we filled them, and behold, they have burst. And these garments and sandals of ours are worn out from the very long journey.”

Akkor vettek a férfiak az eledelükből, az ÚR tanácsát pedig nem kérték ki.

És vőnek a férfiak azoknak eledeléből, az Úr tanácsát pedig nem kérték vala.

And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD.

Bărbaţii lui Israel au luat din merindea lor şi n-au întrebat pe Domnul.

So the men took some of their provisions, but did not ask counsel from the LORD.

Józsué békességesen bánt velük, és szövetséget kötött velük, hogy életben hagyja őket; a gyülekezet vezetői pedig megesküdtek erről nekik.

És békességesen bánt velök Józsué, és frigyet köte velök, hogy életben hagyja őket, a gyülekezet fejedelmei pedig megesküdének nékik.

And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.

Iosua a făcut pace cu ei şi a încheiat un legământ prin care trebuia să-i lase cu viaţă, şi căpeteniile adunării le-au jurat lucrul acesta.

And Joshua made peace with them and made a covenant with them, to let them live, and the leaders of the congregation swore to them.

De harmadnap múlva, azután, hogy szövetséget kötöttek velük, meghallották, hogy azok a közelből valók, sőt közöttük laknak.

De harmadnap múlva azután, hogy frigyet kötöttek vala velök, meghallják, hogy közel valók azok hozzájok, sőt közöttök lakoznak azok.

And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them.

La trei zile după încheierea acestui legământ, copiii lui Israel au aflat că erau vecini cu ei şi că locuiau în mijlocul lor.

At the end of three days after they had made a covenant with them, they heard that they were their neighbors and that they lived among them.

Elindultak tehát Izráel fiai, és harmadnap eljutottak a városaikhoz. A városaik pedig ezek voltak: Gibeón, Kefírá, Beérót és KirjatJeárim.

Elindulának azért Izráel fiai, és eljutának azoknak városaihoz harmadnapon. Városaik pedig valának: Gibeon, Kefira, Beéróth és Kirjáth- Jeárim.

And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjathjearim.

Căci copiii lui Israel au plecat şi a treia zi au ajuns la cetăţile lor; cetăţile lor erau Gabaon, Chefira, Beerot şi Chiriat-Iearim.

And the people of Israel set out and reached their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, Chephirah, Beeroth, and Kiriath-jearim.

De nem bántották őket Izráel fiai, mivel megesküdtek nekik a gyülekezet főemberei az ÚRra, Izráel Istenére. Emiatt zúgolódott az egész gyülekezet a főemberek ellen.

De nem bánták őket Izráel fiai, mivelhogy megesküdtek vala nékik a gyülekezet főemberei az Úrra, Izráel Istenére, és zúgolódék az egész gyülekezet a főemberek ellen.

And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes.

Dar nu i-au bătut, pentru că fruntaşii adunării le juraseră pe Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel că-i vor lăsa cu viaţă. Şi toată adunarea a cârtit împotriva căpeteniilor.

But the people of Israel did not attack them, because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the LORD, the God of Israel. Then all the congregation murmured against the leaders.

Az összes főember ezt mondta az egész gyülekezetnek: Megesküdtünk nekik az ÚRra, Izráel Istenére, most hát nem bánthatjuk őket!

Mondának azért mind a főemberek az egész gyülekezetnek: Mi megesküdtünk nékik az Úrra, Izráel Istenére, most hát nem bánthatjuk őket.

But all the princes said unto all the congregation, We have sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel: now therefore we may not touch them.

Toate căpeteniile au zis întregii adunări: „Le-am jurat pe Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel, şi acum nu putem să ne atingem de ei.

But all the leaders said to all the congregation, “We have sworn to them by the LORD, the God of Israel, and now we may not touch them.

Ezt tesszük velük: életben hagyjuk őket, és így nem érhet bennünket harag az esküvésért, amellyel megesküdtünk nekik.

Ezt cselekedjük velök, hogy életben hagyjuk őket, és így nem lesz harag ellenünk az esküvésért, a melylyel megesküdtünk nékik.

This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we sware unto them.

Iată ce le vom face: îi vom lăsa cu viaţă, ca să n-aducem peste noi mânia Domnului, din pricina jurământului pe care li l-am făcut.”

This we will do to them: let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath that we swore to them.”

Azután ezt mondták a főemberek: Ám éljenek, de legyenek az egész gyülekezet favágói és vízhordói. Ezt meg is mondták nekik a főemberek.

Mondának azért a főemberek nékik: Ám éljenek! És lőnek favágóivá és vízhordozóivá az egész gyülekezetnek, a mint szólottak vala nékik a főemberek.

And the princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation; as the princes had promised them.

„Să trăiască”, le-au zis căpeteniile. Dar au fost întrebuinţaţi la tăiat lemne şi la scos apă pentru toată adunarea, cum le spuseseră căpeteniile.

And the leaders said to them, “Let them live.” So they became cutters of wood and drawers of water for all the congregation, just as the leaders had said of them.

Józsué ugyanis hívatta őket, és így szólt hozzájuk: Miért csaptatok be minket, amikor így beszéltetek: „Igen messziről valók vagyunk”, holott közöttünk laktok?

Hívatá ugyanis őket Józsué, és szóla nékik, mondván: Miért csaltatok meg minket, ezt mondván: Igen messziről valók vagyunk mi tőletek, holott ti közöttünk laktok?

And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?

Iosua i-a chemat şi le-a vorbit astfel: „Pentru ce ne-aţi înşelat zicând: „Suntem foarte departe de voi”, când voi locuiţi în mijlocul nostru?

Joshua summoned them, and he said to them, “Why did you deceive us, saying, ‘We are very far from you,’ when you dwell among us?

Most azért átkozottak legyetek, és ne fogyjon ki közületek a szolga, a favágó és a vízhordó az én Istenem házában.

Most azért átkozottak legyetek, és ne fogyjon ki közületek a szolga, a favágó és vízhordó az én Istenemnek házába.

Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.

Acum sunteţi blestemaţi şi nu veţi înceta să fiţi în robie, să tăiaţi lemne şi să scoateţi apă pentru Casa Dumnezeului meu.”

Now therefore you are cursed, and some of you shall never be anything but servants, cutters of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.”

Azok pedig így feleltek Józsuénak: Mivel nyilván tudtukra jutott szolgáidnak az, amit az ÚR, a ti Istenetek parancsolt szolgájának, Mózesnek, hogy nektek adja ezt az egész földet, és hogy kiirtja előletek a föld minden lakosát, igen féltettük tőletek az életünket, ezért cselekedtük ezt a dolgot.

Azok pedig felelének Józsuénak, és mondának: Mivelhogy nyilván tudtokra esett a te szolgáidnak az, a mit az Úr, a ti Istenetek parancsolt vala Mózesnek, az ő szolgájának, hogy néktek adja ezt az egész földet, és hogy kiirtja előletek a földnek minden lakosát: igen féltettük tőletek a mi életünket, ezért cselekedtük ezt a dolgot.

And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.

Ei au răspuns lui Iosua şi au zis: „Robii tăi au auzit de poruncile date de Domnul Dumnezeul tău robului Său Moise, ca să vă dea în mână toată ţara şi să nimicească dinaintea voastră pe toţi locuitorii ei; şi venirea voastră a băgat mare frică în noi cu privire la viaţa noastră: iată de ce am lucrat aşa.

They answered Joshua, “Because it was told to your servants for a certainty that the LORD your God had commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you—so we feared greatly for our lives because of you and did this thing.

De most, íme, a kezedben vagyunk, úgy cselekedj hát velünk, ahogy jónak és igaznak tetszik előtted.

És most ímé, a te kezedben vagyunk, a mint cselekedni jónak és igaznak tetszik előtted, úgy cselekedjél mivelünk!

And now, behold, we are in thine hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.

Şi acum iată-ne în mâinile tale; fă cu noi ce vei crede că este bine şi drept să faci.”

And now, behold, we are in your hand. Whatever seems good and right in your sight to do to us, do it.”

És úgy cselekedett velük, és kiszabadította őket Izráel fiainak kezéből, és nem ölték meg őket.

És úgy cselekedék velök, és kiszabadítá őket Izráel fiainak kezéből, és nem ölék meg őket.

And so did he unto them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not.

Iosua le-a făcut aşa cum hotărâse; i-a izbăvit din mâna copiilor lui Israel, care nu i-au omorât;

So he did this to them and delivered them out of the hand of the people of Israel, and they did not kill them.

Azon a napon Józsué a gyülekezetnek és az ÚR oltárának a favágóivá és vízhordóivá tette őket mindmáig azon a helyen, amelyet kiválasztott az ÚR.

És tevé őket Józsué azon a napon favágókká és vízhordókká a gyülekezethez és az Úr oltárához, mind e napig, azon a helyen, a melyet választánd.

And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose.

dar din ziua aceea i-a pus să taie lemn şi să scoată apă pentru adunare şi pentru altarul Domnului în locul pe care l-ar alege Domnul: ceea ce fac până în ziua de azi.

But Joshua made them that day cutters of wood and drawers of water for the congregation and for the altar of the LORD, to this day, in the place that he should choose.
