De Izráel fiai hűtlenül bántak a teljesen Istennek szentelt dolgokkal. Mert a Júda nemzetségéből való Ákán, Karmi fia, aki Zabdi fia, aki Zerah fia, elvett a teljesen Istennek szentelt dolgokból. Ezért fölgerjedt az ÚR haragja Izráel fiai ellen.

De az Izráel fiai hűtlenül bántak vala a teljesen [Istennek ]szentelt dolgokkal, mert elvőn a teljesen [Istennek] szentelt dolgokból Ákán, Kárminak fia (ki a Zabdi fia, ki a Zéra fia a Júda nemzetségéből); felgerjede azért az Úrnak haragja Izráel fiai ellen.

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.

Copiii lui Israel au păcătuit cu privire la lucrurile date spre nimicire. Acan, fiul lui Carmi, fiul lui Zabdi, fiul lui Zerah, din seminţia lui Iuda, a luat din lucrurile date spre nimicire. Şi Domnul S-a aprins de mânie împotriva copiilor lui Israel.

But the people of Israel broke faith in regard to the devoted things, for Achan the son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of the devoted things. And the anger of the LORD burned against the people of Israel.

Józsué ugyanis férfiakat küldött Jerikóból Ajba, amely Bét-Áven mellett van, Bételtől kelet felé, és azt mondta nekik: Menjetek föl, és kémleljétek ki azt a földet. Föl is mentek a férfiak, és kikémlelték Ajt.

And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Bethaven, on the east of Bethel, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai.

Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth-aven, east of Bethel, and said to them, “Go up and spy out the land.” And the men went up and spied out Ai.

Majd visszatértek Józsuéhoz, és azt mondták neki: Ne menjen föl az egész nép. Mintegy kétezer férfi vagy mintegy háromezer férfi menjen föl, és megverik Ajt. Ne fáraszd oda az egész népet, hiszen kevesen vannak!

And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.

And they returned to Joshua and said to him, “Do not have all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and attack Ai. Do not make the whole people toil up there, for they are few.”

So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.

And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

and the men of Ai killed about thirty-six of their men and chased them before the gate as far as Shebarim and struck them at the descent. And the hearts of the people melted and became as water.

Józsué pedig megszaggatta ruháit, és arccal a földre borult az ÚR ládája előtt egész estig, ő és Izráel vénei, és port hintettek a fejükre.

And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.

Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the LORD until the evening, he and the elders of Israel. And they put dust on their heads.

És azt mondta Józsué: Jaj, Uram, Istenem! Miért is hoztad át ezt a népet a Jordánon, hogyha az emóriak kezébe adsz minket, hogy elveszítsenek! Bár úgy határoztunk volna, hogy a Jordánon túl maradunk!

És monda Józsué: Ah Uram Istenem! Miért is hozád által ezt a népet a Jordánon, hogyha az Emoreus kezébe adsz minket, hogy elveszítsen? Vajha úgy akartuk volna, hogy maradtunk volna túl a Jordánon!

And Joshua said, Alas, O LORD God, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!

Iosua a zis: „Ah! Doamne Dumnezeule, pentru ce ai trecut pe poporul acesta Iordanul, ca să ne dai în mâinile amoriţilor şi să ne prăpădeşti? De am fi ştiut să rămânem de cealaltă parte a Iordanului!

And Joshua said, “Alas, O Lord GOD, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to give us into the hands of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would that we had been content to dwell beyond the Jordan!

Ó, Uram! Mit mondjak, miután meghátrált Izráel az ellenségei elől?

Óh Uram! mit mondjak, miután meghátrált Izráel az ő ellenségei előtt!

O LORD, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies!

O Lord, what can I say, when Israel has turned their backs before their enemies!

Ha meghallják ezt a kánaániak és az ország többi lakói, és ellenünk fordulnak, és kiirtják nevünket e földről: mit cselekszel majd a te nagy nevedért?

Ha meghallják a Kananeusok és e földnek minden lakói, és ellenünk fordulnak, és kiirtják nevünket e földről: mit cselekszel majd a te nagy nevedért?

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

Canaaniţii şi toţi locuitorii ţării vor afla; ne vor înconjura şi ne vor şterge numele de pe pământ. Şi ce vei face Tu Numelui Tău celui mare?”

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it and will surround us and cut off our name from the earth. And what will you do for your great name?”

Az ÚR ezt felelte Józsuénak: Kelj föl! Miért is borulsz arcra?

És monda az Úr Józsuénak: Kelj fel! Miért is borulsz te arczra?

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face?

The LORD said to Joshua, “Get up! Why have you fallen on your face?

Vétkezett Izráel, és áthágták szövetségemet is, amelyet parancsoltam nekik, mert elvettek a teljesen nekem szentelt dolgokból, és edényeik közé dugdosták azokat; loptak és hazudtak is.

Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.

Israel a păcătuit; au călcat legământul Meu pe care li l-am dat, au luat din lucrurile date spre nimicire, le-au furat şi au minţit şi le-au ascuns printre lucrurile lor.

Israel has sinned; they have transgressed my covenant that I commanded them; they have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen and lied and put them among their own belongings.

Ezért nem bírtak megállni Izráel fiai az ellenségeik előtt. Meghátráltak előttük, mert átkozottá lettek. Nem leszek többé veletek, ha el nem távolítjátok magatok közül azt a nekem szentelt dolgot.

Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

De aceea copiii lui Israel nu pot să ţină piept vrăjmaşilor lor: vor da dosul în faţa vrăjmaşilor lor, căci sunt daţi spre nimicire; Eu nu voi mai fi cu voi, dacă nu nimiciţi ce este dat spre nimicire din mijlocul vostru.

Therefore the people of Israel cannot stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will be with you no more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.

Kelj föl, és szenteld meg a népet, és mondjad: Szenteljétek meg magatokat holnapra, mert azt mondta az ÚR, Izráel Istene: Istennek szentelt dolog van közötted, Izráel! Nem állhattok meg ellenségeitek előtt, amíg el nem távolítjátok közületek az Istennek szentelt dolgot.

Kelj fel, és tisztítsd meg a népet, és mondjad: Tisztítsátok meg magatokat holnapra, mert ezt mondá az Úr, Izráelnek Istene: [Istennek] szentelt dolog van közötted, Izráel! Nem állhatsz meg a te ellenségeid előtt, míg el nem távolítjátok közületek az [Istennek] szentelt dolgot.

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.

Scoală-te, sfinţeşte poporul. Spune-le: „Sfinţiţi-vă pentru mâine. Căci aşa zice Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel: „În mijlocul tău este un lucru dat spre nimicire, Israele; nu vei putea să ţii piept vrăjmaşilor tăi, până nu veţi scoate lucrul dat spre nimicire din mijlocul vostru.

Get up! Consecrate the people and say, ‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow; for thus says the LORD, God of Israel, “There are devoted things in your midst, O Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted things from among you.”

Azért jöjjetek elő reggel törzsenként. Az a törzs pedig, amelyet bűnösnek jelent ki az ÚR, jöjjön elő családonként, a család pedig, amelyet bűnösnek jelent ki az ÚR, jöjjön elő házanként, a ház pedig, amelyet bűnösnek jelent ki az ÚR, jöjjön elő férfianként.

Azért jőjjetek elő reggel nemzetségeitek szerint; a nemzetség pedig, a melyet bűnösnek jelent az Úr, jőjjön elő családonként; a család pedig, a melyet bűnösnek jelent az Úr, jőjjön elő házanként, a ház pedig, a melyet bűnösnek jelent az Úr, jőjjön elő férfianként.

In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the LORD taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the LORD shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall take shall come man by man.

Să vă apropiaţi mâine dimineaţă după seminţiile voastre; şi seminţia pe care o va arăta Domnul prin sorţi se va apropia pe familii, şi familia pe care o va arăta Domnul prin sorţi se va apropia pe case, şi casa pe care o va arăta Domnul prin sorţi se va apropia pe bărbaţi.

In the morning therefore you shall be brought near by your tribes. And the tribe that the LORD takes by lot shall come near by clans. And the clan that the LORD takes shall come near by households. And the household that the LORD takes shall come near man by man.

Aki az Istennek szentelt dologban bűnösnek bizonyul, azt mindenével együtt meg kell égetni, mivel megszegte az ÚR szövetségét, és mivel alávaló dolgot cselekedett Izráelben.

És lészen, hogy a ki az [Istennek] szentelt dologban bűnösnek találtatik, tűzzel égettessék meg, ő és mindene, a mije van, mivelhogy megszegte az Úrnak szövetségét, és mivel alávaló dolgot cselekedett Izráelben.

And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.

And he who is taken with the devoted things shall be burned with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he has done an outrageous thing in Israel.’”

So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken:

So Joshua rose early in the morning and brought Israel near tribe by tribe, and the tribe of Judah was taken.

Ekkor előállította Júda családjait, és Zerah családjára esett a sors, hogy az a bűnös. Azután előállította Zerah családjából a férfiakat, és Zabdi házára esett a sors, hogy az bűnös.

Ekkor előállítá a Júda családjait, és bűnösnek jelenteték a Zéra családja; azután előállítá a Zéra családját férfianként, és bűnösnek jelenteték a Zabdi [háza.]

And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken:

A apropiat familiile lui Iuda, şi a fost arătată prin sorţi familia lui Zerah. A apropiat familia lui Zerah pe case, şi a fost arătată prin sorţi casa lui Zabdi.

And he brought near the clans of Judah, and the clan of the Zerahites was taken. And he brought near the clan of the Zerahites man by man, and Zabdi was taken.

And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.

Józsué erre azt mondta Ákánnak: Kérlek, fiam, adj dicsőséget az ÚRnak, Izráel Istenének, és tégy bűnvallást előtte, és add tudtomra, kérlek, mit tettél, ne titkold el előlem!

Monda azért Józsué Ákánnak: Fiam, adj dicsőséget, kérlek, az Úrnak, Izráel Istenének, és tégy néki vallást, és add tudtomra, kérlek, nékem, mit cselekedtél, és el ne titkoljad tőlem!

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

Iosua a zis lui Acan: „Fiule, dă slavă Domnului Dumnezeului lui Israel, mărturiseşte şi spune-mi ce ai făcut, nu-mi ascunde nimic.”

Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, give glory to the LORD God of Israel and give praise to him. And tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Ákán pedig így felelt Józsuénak: Bizony, vétkeztem az ÚR ellen, Izráel Istene ellen, ezt és ezt cselekedtem.

And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:

And Achan answered Joshua, “Truly I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and this is what I did:

Láttam ugyanis a zsákmány közt egy jó babilóni köntöst, kétszáz sékel ezüstöt és egy aranyrudat, amelynek a súlya ötven sékel volt, megkívántam ezeket és elvettem. Íme, el vannak rejtve a földben a sátram közepén, az ezüst pedig alatta van.

Láték ugyanis a zsákmány közt egy jó babiloni köntöst, kétszáz siklus ezüstöt és egy arany vesszőt, a melynek súlya ötven siklus vala, és megkivántam ezeket, és elvevém ezeket, és ímé elrejtve vannak a földben, a sátoromnak közepében, az ezüst pedig alatta van.

When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

when I saw among the spoil a beautiful cloak from Shinar, and 200 shekels of silver, and a bar of gold weighing 50 shekels, then I coveted them and took them. And see, they are hidden in the earth inside my tent, with the silver underneath.”

So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.

És kivitték azokat a sátor közepéről, elvitték Józsuéhoz és Izráel minden fiához, és lerakták az ÚR színe előtt.

And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD.

And they took them out of the tent and brought them to Joshua and to all the people of Israel. And they laid them down before the LORD.

Józsué pedig és vele együtt egész Izráel fogta Ákánt, Zerah fiát, az ezüstöt, a köntöst és az aranyrudat, fiait és leányait, ökreit, szamarait és juhait, sátrát és mindenét, amije volt, és az Ákór völgyébe vitték azokat.

And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.

And Joshua and all Israel with him took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver and the cloak and the bar of gold, and his sons and daughters and his oxen and donkeys and sheep and his tent and all that he had. And they brought them up to the Valley of Achor.

És azt mondta Józsué: Miért rontottál meg minket? Rontson meg téged e napon az ÚR! És elborította őt egész Izráel kövekkel, majd a megkövezés után megégették őket tűzzel.

És monda Józsué: Miért rontottál meg minket? Rontson meg téged e napon az Úr! És elborítá őt egész Izráel kövekkel, és megégeték őket tűzzel, miután megkövezték vala őket.

And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

Iosua a zis: „Pentru ce ne-ai nenorocit? Şi pe tine te va nenoroci Domnul azi.” Şi tot Israelul i-a ucis cu pietre. I-au ars în foc, i-au ucis cu pietre

And Joshua said, “Why did you bring trouble on us? The LORD brings trouble on you today.” And all Israel stoned him with stones. They burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.

Nagy kőhalmot raktak föléjük, amely mind e napig megvan. És megszűnt az ÚR haragjának lángolása. Ezért nevezik azt a helyet Ákór völgyének mind a mai napig.

És nagy kőhalmot rakának feléje; [megvan ]mind e napig. És megszűnék az Úr haragjának gerjedezése. Ezért nevezik ezt a helyet Akor völgyének mind e napig.

And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.

şi au ridicat peste Acan un morman mare de pietre, care se vede până în ziua de azi. Şi Domnul S-a întors din iuţimea mâniei Lui. Din pricina acestei întâmplări s-a dat până în ziua de azi locului aceluia numele de valea Acor.

And they raised over him a great heap of stones that remains to this day. Then the LORD turned from his burning anger. Therefore, to this day the name of that place is called the Valley of Achor.
