Nem vagyok szabad? Nem vagyok apostol? Nem láttam Jézus Krisztust, a mi Urunkat? Nem az én munkám vagytok ti az Úrban?

Nem vagyok-é apostol? Nem vagyok-é szabad? Nem láttam-é Jézus Krisztust, a mi Urunkat? Nem az én munkám vagytok-é ti az Úrban?

Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?

Nu sunt eu slobod? Nu sunt eu apostol? N-am văzut eu pe Isus, Domnul nostru? Nu sunteţi voi lucrul meu în Domnul?

Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are not you my workmanship in the Lord?

Ha másoknak nem volnék is apostola, nektek bizony az vagyok, mert ti vagytok apostolságom pecsétje az Úrban.

Ha egyebeknek nem vagyok apostoluk, de bizony néktek az vagyok, mert az én apostolságomnak pecsétje az Úrban ti vagytok.

If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

Dacă nu sunt apostol pentru alţii, sunt măcar pentru voi; căci voi sunteţi pecetea apostoliei mele în Domnul.

If to others I am not an apostle, at least I am to you, for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

Ez az én védekezésem azokkal szemben, akik vádolnak engem.

Ez az én védelmem azok ellenében, a kik vádolnak engem.

Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,

Iată răspunsul meu de apărare împotriva celor ce mă cercetează.

This is my defense to those who would examine me.

Nincs jogunk ahhoz, hogy együnk és igyunk?

Nincsen-é arra jogunk, hogy együnk és igyunk?

Have we not power to eat and to drink?

N-avem dreptul să mâncăm şi să bem?

Do we not have the right to eat and drink?

Nincs jogunk ahhoz, hogy keresztyén feleségünket magunkkal vigyük, mint a többi apostol és az Úr testvérei és Kéfás?

Nincsen-é arra jogunk, hogy keresztyén feleségünket magunkkal hordozzuk, mint a többi apostolok is és az Úrnak atyjafiai és Kéfás?

Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

N-avem dreptul să ducem cu noi o soră, care să fie nevasta noastră, cum fac ceilalţi apostoli şi fraţii Domnului şi Chifa?

Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?

Avagy csak nekem és Barnabásnak nincs jogunk, hogy ne dolgozzunk?

Avagy csak nekem és Barnabásnak nincs-é jogunk, hogy ne dolgozzunk?

Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?

Ori numai eu şi Barnaba n-avem dreptul să nu lucrăm?

Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working for a living?

Ki katonáskodik a maga zsoldján? Ki ültet úgy szőlőt, hogy nem eszik annak gyümölcséből? Vagy ki legeltet úgy nyájat, hogy nem iszik a nyáj tejéből?

Kicsoda katonáskodik valaha a maga zsoldján? Kicsoda plántál szőlőt, és nem eszik annak gyümölcséből? Vagy kicsoda legeltet nyájat, és nem eszik a nyájnak tejéből?

Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?

Cine merge la război pe cheltuiala sa? Cine sădeşte o vie, şi nu mănâncă din rodul ei? Cine paşte o turmă, şi nu mănâncă din laptele turmei?

Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard without eating any of its fruit? Or who tends a flock without getting some of the milk?

Csak emberi módon mondom ezeket? Nemde ezt mondja a törvény is?

Vajjon emberi módon beszélem-é ezeket? vagy nem ezeket mondja-é a törvény is?

Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?

Lucrurile acestea le spun după felul oamenilor? Nu le spune şi Legea?

Do I say these things on human authority? Does not the Law say the same?

Mert Mózes törvényében meg van írva: Ne kösd be a nyomtató ökör száját. Talán csak az ökrökre van Istennek gondja?

Mert a Mózes törvényében meg van írva: Ne kösd fel a nyomtató ökörnek száját. Avagy az ökrökre van-é az Istennek gondja?

For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?

În adevăr, în Legea lui Moise este scris: „Să nu legi gura boului care treieră grâul!” Pe boi îi are în vedere Dumnezeu aici?

For it is written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it for oxen that God is concerned?

Nemde ránk való tekintettel mondja mindezt? Mert miértünk íratott meg, hogy aki szánt, annak reménységgel kell szántania, és aki csépel, azzal a reménységgel teszi, hogy részesedik a termésből.

Avagy nem érettünk mondja-é általában? Mert mi érettünk íratott meg, hogy a ki szánt, reménység alatt kell szántania, és a ki csépel, az ő reménységében részesnek lennie reménység alatt.

Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

Sau vorbeşte El înadins pentru noi? Da, pentru noi a fost scris astfel; căci cine ară trebuie să are cu nădejde, şi cine treieră grâul trebuie să-l treiere cu nădejdea că va avea parte de el.

Does he not certainly speak for our sake? It was written for our sake, because the plowman should plow in hope and the thresher thresh in hope of sharing in the crop.

Ha mi nektek lelkieket vetettünk, nagy dolog az, ha testi javaitokat aratjuk?

Ha mi néktek a lelkieket vetettük, nagy dolog- é, ha mi a ti testi javaitokat aratjuk?

If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

Dacă am semănat printre voi bunurile duhovniceşti, mare lucru este dacă vom secera bunurile voastre vremelnice?

If we have sown spiritual things among you, is it too much if we reap material things from you?

Ha másoknak joguk van ehhez, mennyivel inkább nekünk? De mi nem éltünk ezzel a jogunkkal, hanem mindent eltűrünk, hogy semmi akadályt ne gördítsünk a Krisztus evangéliuma elé.

Ha egyebek részesülnek a ti javaitokban, mért nem inkább mi? De mi nem éltünk e szabadsággal; hanem mindent eltűrünk, hogy valami akadályt ne gördítsünk a Krisztus evangyélioma elé.

If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

Dacă se bucură alţii de acest drept asupra voastră, nu ni se cade cu mult mai mult nouă? Dar noi nu ne-am folosit de dreptul acesta; ci răbdăm totul, ca să nu punem vreo piedică Evangheliei lui Hristos.

If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

Nem tudjátok, hogy akik a templomi szolgálatokat végzik, a szent helyről táplálkoznak, és akik az oltár körül forgolódnak, az oltárról részesednek?

Nem tudjátok-é, hogy a kik a szent dolgokban munkálkodnak, a szent helyből élnek, és a kik az oltár körül forgolódnak, az oltárral együtt veszik el részüket?

Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?

Nu ştiţi că cei ce îndeplinesc slujbele sfinte sunt hrăniţi din lucrurile de la Templu şi că cei ce slujesc altarului au parte de la altar?

Do you not know that those who are employed in the temple service get their food from the temple, and those who serve at the altar share in the sacrificial offerings?

Így rendelte az Úr is, hogy akik az evangéliumot hirdetik, az evangéliumból éljenek.

Ekképen rendelte az Úr is, hogy a kik az evangyéliomot hirdetik, az evangyéliomból éljenek.

Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

Tot aşa, Domnul a rânduit ca cei ce propovăduiesc Evanghelia să trăiască din Evanghelie.

In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.

De én ezek közül eggyel sem éltem. De nem azért írtam ezeket, hogy velem is így történjék, mert jobb nekem meghalnom, semhogy valaki a dicsekvésemet megüresítse.

De én ezek közül egygyel sem éltem. Nem azért írtam azonban ezeket, hogy velem is így történjék, mert jobb nékem meghalnom, hogysem valaki hiábavalóvá tegye az én dicsekedésemet.

But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.

Dar eu nu m-am folosit de niciunul din aceste drepturi. Şi nu vă scriu aceste lucruri ca să cer să se facă aşa cu mine; căci aş vrea mai bine să mor decât să-mi ia cineva pricina mea de laudă.

But I have made no use of any of these rights, nor am I writing these things to secure any such provision. For I would rather die than have anyone deprive me of my ground for boasting.

Mert ha az evangéliumot hirdetem, azzal nincs mit dicsekednem, mert belső kényszer hajt. Jaj ugyanis nekem, ha az evangéliumot nem hirdetem!

Mert ha az evangyéliomot hirdetem, nem dicsekedhetem, mert szükség kényszerít engem. Jaj ugyanis nékem, ha az evangyéliomot nem hirdetem.

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

Dacă vestesc Evanghelia, nu este pentru mine o pricină de laudă, căci trebuie s-o vestesc; şi vai de mine, dacă nu vestesc Evanghelia!

For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

Mert ha önként teszem ezt, jutalmam van, ha pedig nem önszántamból, akkor sáfársággal bíztak meg.

Mert ha akaratom szerint mívelem ezt, jutalmam van; ha pedig akaratom nélkül, sáfársággal bízattam meg.

For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

Dacă fac lucrul acesta de bunăvoie, am o răsplată. Chiar dacă-l fac de silă, este o isprăvnicie care mi-a fost încredinţată.

For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward, but if not of my own will, I am still entrusted with a stewardship.

Mi tehát a jutalmam? Az, hogy prédikálásomban ingyenessé teszem az evangéliumot, és nem élek vissza az evangéliumhoz kapcsolódó jogommal.

Micsoda tehát az én jutalmam? Hogy prédikálásommal ingyenvalóvá tegyem a Krisztus evangyéliomát, hogy ne használjam ki [ama] szabadságomat az evangyéliom hirdetésénél.

What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

Care este atunci răsplata mea? Este să vestesc fără plată Evanghelia pe care o vestesc, şi să nu mă folosesc de dreptul meu în Evanghelie.

What then is my reward? That in my preaching I may present the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

Mert én, noha mindenkivel szemben szabad vagyok, mégis mindenki szolgájává lettem, hogy minél többeket megnyerjek.

Mert én, noha mindenkivel szemben szabad vagyok, magamat mindenkinek szolgájává tettem, hogy a többséget megnyerjem.

For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

Căci, măcar că sunt slobod faţă de toţi, m-am făcut robul tuturor, ca să câştig pe cei mai mulţi.

For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.

A zsidóknak zsidóvá lettem, hogy zsidókat nyerjek meg, a törvény alatt valóknak törvény alatt valóvá – bár én magam nem vagyok a törvény alatt –, hogy a törvény alatt valókat megnyerjem,

És a zsidóknak zsidóvá lettem, hogy zsidókat nyerjek meg; a törvény alatt valóknak törvény alatt valóvá, hogy a törvény alatt valókat megnyerjem;

And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

Cu iudeii m-am făcut ca un iudeu, ca să câştig pe iudei; cu cei ce sunt sub Lege m-am făcut ca şi când aş fi fost sub Lege (măcar că nu sunt sub Lege), ca să câştig pe cei ce sunt sub Lege;

To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law.

a törvény nélkül valóknak törvény nélkülivé – noha nem vagyok Isten törvénye nélkül, hanem Krisztus törvénye szerint élek –, hogy a törvény nélkülieket megnyerjem.

A törvény nélkül valóknak törvénynélkülivé, noha nem vagyok Isten törvénye nélkül, hanem Krisztus törvényében való, hogy törvény nélkül valókat nyerjek meg.

To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

cu cei ce sunt fără Lege m-am făcut ca şi cum aş fi fost fără Lege (măcar că nu sunt fără o Lege a lui Dumnezeu, ci sunt sub Legea lui Hristos), ca să câştig pe cei fără lege.

To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law.

Az erőtleneknek erőtlenné lettem, hogy az erőtleneket megnyerjem. Mindenkinek mindenné lettem, hogy mindenképpen megmentsek némelyeket.

Az erőtleneknek erőtelenné lettem, hogy az erőteleneket megnyerjem. Mindeneknek mindenné lettem, hogy minden módon megtartsak némelyeket.

To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

Am fost slab cu cei slabi, ca să câştig pe cei slabi. M-am făcut tuturor totul, ca, oricum, să mântuiesc pe unii din ei.

To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.

Mindezt az evangéliumért teszem, hogy nekem is részem legyen benne.

Ezt pedig az evangyéliomért mívelem, hogy részestárs legyek abban.

And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

Fac totul pentru Evanghelie, ca să am şi eu parte de ea.

I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.

Nem tudjátok, hogy akik versenypályán futnak, mindnyájan futnak ugyan, de csak egy nyer jutalmat? Úgy fussatok, hogy elnyerjétek.

Nem tudjátok-é, hogy a kik versenypályán futnak, mindnyájan futnak ugyan, de egy veszi el a jutalmat? Úgy fussatok, hogy elvegyétek.

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Nu ştiţi că cei ce aleargă în locul de alergare, toţi aleargă, dar numai unul capătă premiul? Alergaţi, dar, în aşa fel, ca să căpătaţi premiul!

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.

Azok pedig, akik részt vesznek a versenyben, mindenben önmegtartóztatók. Ők azért, hogy elhervadó koszorút nyerjenek, mi pedig azért, hogy hervadhatatlant.

Mindaz pedig a ki pályafutásban tusakodik, mindenben magatűrtető; azok ugyan, hogy romlandó koszorút nyerjenek, mi pedig romolhatatlant.

And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Toţi cei ce se luptă la jocurile de obşte se supun la tot felul de înfrânări. Şi ei fac lucrul acesta ca să capete o cunună care se poate veşteji: noi să facem lucrul acesta pentru o cunună care nu se poate veşteji.

Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

Én pedig nem céltalanul futok, és nem úgy viaskodom, mint aki levegőt vagdos,

Én azért úgy futok, mint nem bizonytalanra; úgy viaskodom, mint a ki nem levegőt vagdos;

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

Eu deci alerg, dar nu ca şi cum n-aş şti încotro alerg. Mă lupt cu pumnul, dar nu ca unul care loveşte în vânt.

So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air.

hanem megsanyargatom a testemet, és szolgává teszem, hogy amíg másoknak prédikálok, én magam nehogy alkalmatlanná legyek.

Hanem megsanyargatom testemet és szolgává teszem; hogy míg másoknak prédikálok, magam valami módon méltatlanná ne legyek.

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Ci mă port aspru cu trupul meu şi-l ţin în stăpânire, ca nu cumva, după ce am propovăduit altora, eu însumi să fiu lepădat.

But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
