Ami a bálványáldozati húst illeti, tudjuk, hogy mindnyájunknak van ismerete. Az ismeret felfuvalkodottá tesz, a szeretet pedig épít.

A bálványáldozatok felől pedig tudjuk, hogy mindnyájunknak van ismeretünk. Az ismeret felfuvalkodottá tesz, a szeretet pedig épít.

Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

În ce priveşte lucrurile jertfite idolilor, ştim că toţi avem cunoştinţă. Dar cunoştinţa îngâmfă pe când dragostea zideşte.

Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up.

Ha pedig valaki azt hiszi, hogy ismer valamit, az még nem ismerte meg úgy, ahogyan ismernie kell.

Ha pedig valaki azt hiszi, hogy tud valamit, még semmit sem ismer úgy, a mint ismernie kell.

And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

Dacă crede cineva că ştie ceva, încă n-a cunoscut cum trebuie să cunoască.

If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.

De ha valaki szereti az Istent, azt ismeri az Isten.

Hanem ha valaki az Istent szereti, az ismertetik ő tőle.

But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

Dar dacă iubeşte cineva pe Dumnezeu, este cunoscut de Dumnezeu.

But if anyone loves God, he is known by God.

Tehát ami a bálványáldozati hús evését illeti, tudjuk, hogy nincs bálvány a világon, és hogy Isten sincs senki más, hanem csak egy.

Tehát a bálványáldozati hús evése felől tudjuk, hogy egy bálvány sincs a világon, és hogy Isten sincs senki más, hanem csak egy.

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

Deci, cât despre mâncarea lucrurilor jertfite idolilor, ştim că în lume un idol este totuna cu nimic şi că nu este decât un singur Dumnezeu.

Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”

Mert ha vannak is úgynevezett istenek akár az égben, akár a földön, mint ahogy sok isten és sok úr van,

Mert ha vannak is úgynevezett istenek akár az égben, akár a földön, a minthogy van sok isten és sok úr;

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

Căci chiar dacă ar fi aşa numiţi „dumnezei” fie în cer, fie pe pământ (cum şi sunt în adevăr mulţi „dumnezei” şi mulţi „domni”),

For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”—

mindazáltal nekünk egy Istenünk van, az Atya, akitől van a mindenség, és mi is érte vagyunk, és egy Urunk, Jézus Krisztus, aki által van a mindenség, és mi is őáltala.

Mindazáltal nekünk egy Istenünk van, az Atya, a kitől [van] a mindenség, mi is ő benne; és egy Urunk, a Jézus Krisztus, a ki által [van] a mindenség, mi is ő általa.

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

totuşi pentru noi nu este decât un singur Dumnezeu: Tatăl, de la care vin toate lucrurile şi pentru care trăim şi noi, şi un singur Domn: Isus Hristos, prin care sunt toate lucrurile, şi prin El şi noi.

yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

De nem mindenkiben van meg ez az ismeret, sőt némelyek annyira hozzászoktak a bálványokhoz, hogy a húst mindmáig bálványáldozatként eszik, és lelkiismeretük, mivelhogy erőtlen, beszennyeződik.

De nem mindenkiben van meg ez az ismeret; sőt némelyek a bálvány felől való lelkiismeretök szerint mind mai napig mint bálványáldozatot eszik, és az ő lelkiismeretök, mivelhogy erőtelen, megfertőztetik.

Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

Dar nu toţi au cunoştinţa aceasta. Ci unii, fiind obişnuiţi până acum cu idolul, mănâncă un lucru ca fiind jertfit unui idol; şi cugetul lor, care este slab, este întinat.

However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

Az étel nem tesz minket kedvessé Isten előtt, mert ha nem eszünk, nem veszítünk semmit, és ha eszünk, nem nyerünk semmit.

Pedig az eledel nem tesz minket kedvesekké Isten előtt; mert ha eszünk is, nem leszünk gazdagabbak; ha nem eszünk is, nem leszünk szegényebbek.

But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

Dar nu carnea ne face pe noi plăcuţi lui Dumnezeu: nu câştigăm nimic dacă mâncăm din ea şi nu pierdem nimic dacă nu mâncăm.

Food will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do.

De vigyázzatok, hogy ez a ti szabadságotok valamiképpen botránkozására ne legyen az erőtleneknek!

De meglássátok, hogy ez a ti szabadságtok valamiképen botránkozásukra ne legyen az erőteleneknek.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

Luaţi seama însă ca nu cumva această slobozenie a voastră să ajungă o piatră de poticnire pentru cei slabi.

But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.

Mert ha valaki meglát téged, akinek ismerete van, hogy a bálványtemplomban vendégeskedsz, annak a lelkiismerete, mivelhogy erőtlen, nemde felbátorodik, hogy megegye a bálványáldozatot?

Mert ha valaki meglát téged, a kinek ismereted van, hogy a bálványtemplomnál vendégeskedel, annak lelkiismerete, mivelhogy erőtelen, nem arra indíttatik-é, hogy megegye a bálványáldozatot?

For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

Căci dacă te vede cineva pe tine, care ai cunoştinţă, că şezi la masă într-un templu de idoli, cugetul lui, care este slab, nu-l va împinge pe el să mănânce din lucrurile jertfite idolilor?

For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol’s temple, will he not be encouraged, if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols?

És a te ismereted miatt elvész a te erőtlen testvéred, akiért Krisztus meghalt.

És a te ismereted miatt elkárhozik a te erőtelen atyádfia, a kiért Krisztus meghalt.

And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

Şi astfel, el, care este slab, va pieri din pricina acestei cunoştinţe a ta: el, fratele pentru care a murit Hristos!

And so by your knowledge this weak person is destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died.

Amikor pedig a testvérek ellen így vétkeztek, és erőtlen lelkiismeretüket megsebzitek, Krisztus ellen vétkeztek.

Így aztán, mikor az atyafiak ellen vétkeztek, és az ő erőtelen lelkiismeretüket megsértitek, a Krisztus ellen vétkeztek.

But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Dacă păcătuiţi astfel împotriva fraţilor şi le răniţi cugetul lor slab, păcătuiţi împotriva lui Hristos.

Thus, sinning against your brothers and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.

Azért ha az étel botránkoztatja meg az én testvéremet, inkább sosem eszem húst, hogy testvéremet meg ne botránkoztassam.

Annakokáért, ha eledel botránkoztatja meg az én atyámfiát, inkább soha sem eszem húst, hogy az én atyámfiát meg ne botránkoztassam.

Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

De aceea, dacă o mâncare face pe fratele meu să păcătuiască, nu voi mânca niciodată carne, ca să nu fac pe fratele meu să păcătuiască.

Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.
