És lőn az Úr szava hozzám, mondván:

Miért mondogatjátok ezt a mondást Izráel földjén: „Az atyák ettek egrest, és a fiak foga vásott bele”?

Mi dolog, hogy ezt a közbeszédet szoktátok mondani Izráel földjén, mondván: Az atyák ettek egrest, és a fiak foga vásott meg [bele?]

What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?

„Pentru ce spuneţi voi zicătoarea aceasta în ţara lui Israel: „Părinţii au mâncat aguridă, şi copiilor li s-au strepezit dinţii”?

“What do you mean by repeating this proverb concerning the land of Israel, ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge’?

Élek én – mondja az én Uram, az ÚR –, hogy nem lesz többé helye köztetek ennek a mondásnak Izráelben.

Élek én, ezt mondja az Úr Isten, nem lesz többé helye köztetek ennek a közbeszédnek Izráelben.

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.

Pe viaţa Mea, zice Domnul Dumnezeu, că nu veţi mai avea prilej să spuneţi zicătoarea aceasta în Israel.

As I live, declares the Lord GOD, this proverb shall no more be used by you in Israel.

Íme, minden lélek az enyém. Az atyák lelke ugyanúgy az enyém, mint a fiak lelke. Amelyik lélek vétkezik, annak kell meghalnia!

Ímé, minden lélek enyém, úgy az atyának lelke, mint a fiúnak lelke enyém; a mely lélek vétkezik, annak kell meghalni!

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Iată că toate sufletele sunt ale Mele. După cum sufletul fiului este al Meu, tot aşa şi sufletul tatălui este al Meu. Sufletul care păcătuieşte, acela va muri.

Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die.

Ha valaki igaz, és törvény szerint, igazságot cselekszik,

És ha valaki igaz lesz, és törvény szerint igazságot cselekszik;

But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,

Omul care este drept, care face judecată şi dreptate,

“If a man is righteous and does what is just and right—

ha nem eszik a hegyeken, és szemét nem emeli föl Izráel házának bálványaira, nem teszi tisztátalanná felebarátja feleségét, és nem közeledik asszonyhoz tisztátalanságában,

Ha a hegyeken nem eszik, és szemeit föl nem emeli Izráel házának bálványaira, és felebarátja feleségét meg nem fertézteti, és asszonyhoz tisztátalanságában nem közeledik;

And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,

care nu mănâncă pe munţi carne jertfită idolilor şi nu ridică ochii spre idolii casei lui Israel, care nu necinsteşte nevasta aproapelui său şi nu se apropie de nevasta sa în timpul necurăţiei ei,

if he does not eat upon the mountains or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, does not defile his neighbor’s wife or approach a woman in her time of menstrual impurity,

ha senkit sem nyomorgat, visszaadja adósának a zálogot, semmit nem vesz el erőszakkal, kenyeréből ad az éhezőnek, és ruhával fedi be a mezítelent,

És senkit nem nyomorgat, az adósnak a zálogot visszaadja, ragadományt nem ragadoz, az éhezőnek kenyerét adja és a mezítelent ruhával befödi;

And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;

care n-asupreşte pe nimeni, care dă înapoi datornicului zălogul, care nu răpeşte nimic, care dă din pâinea lui celui flămând şi înveleşte cu o haină pe cel gol,

does not oppress anyone, but restores to the debtor his pledge, commits no robbery, gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with a garment,

nem kölcsönöz uzsorára, nem kér kamatot, tartózkodik az álnokságtól, igaz ítéletet hoz a felek közt,

Uzsorára nem ád, kamatot nem vesz, megvonja kezét az álnokságtól, igaz ítéletet tesz a felek közt;

He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,

care nu împrumută cu dobândă şi nu ia camătă, care îşi abate mâna de la nelegiuire şi judecă după adevăr între un om şi altul,

does not lend at interest or take any profit, withholds his hand from injustice, executes true justice between man and man,

rendelkezéseim szerint jár, és törvényeimet megőrzi, hogy igazságot cselekedjék: az ilyen ember igaz, és biztosan élni fog – ezt mondja az én Uram, az ÚR.

Az én parancsolatimban jár és törvényeimet megőrzi, hogy igazságot cselekedjék; ez az igaz, ő élvén él, ezt mondja az Úr Isten.

Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.

care urmează legile Mele şi păzeşte poruncile Mele, lucrând cu credincioşie – omul acela este drept şi va trăi negreşit, zice Domnul Dumnezeu.

walks in my statutes, and keeps my rules by acting faithfully—he is righteous; he shall surely live, declares the Lord GOD.

De ha erőszakos fiút nemz, aki vért ont, és csak egyet is cselekszik ezekből,

És ha erőszakos fiat nemz, a ki vért ont, és csak egyet is cselekszik amazokból;

If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,

Dacă acum omul acesta are un fiu iute la mânie, care varsă sânge sau care face ceva de felul acesta;

“If he fathers a son who is violent, a shedder of blood, who does any of these things

bár atyja nem tette ezeket: vagyis eszik a hegyeken, tisztátalanná teszi felebarátja feleségét,

Mindezeket pedig nem cselekedte; hanem a hegyeken evett, és felebarátjának feleségét megfertéztette;

And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,

dacă acest fiu nu se ia în nimic după purtarea tatălui său neprihănit, ci mănâncă pe munţi, necinsteşte pe nevasta aproapelui său,

(though he himself did none of these things), who even eats upon the mountains, defiles his neighbor’s wife,

nyomorgatja a szűkölködőt és szegényt, és erőszakkal elveszi a másét, nem adja vissza a zálogot, a bálványokra emeli a szemét, és utálatosságot cselekszik,

A szűkölködőt és szegényt nyomorgatta, ragadományokat ragadozott, zálogot vissza nem adott, és a bálványokra emelte szemeit, útálatosságot cselekedett;

Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,

asupreşte pe cel nenorocit şi pe cel lipsit, răpeşte, nu dă înapoi zălogul, ridică ochii spre idoli şi face urâciuni,

oppresses the poor and needy, commits robbery, does not restore the pledge, lifts up his eyes to the idols, commits abomination,

uzsorára kölcsönöz, és kamatot kér – éljen az ilyen? Nem fog élni! Mivel megcselekedte mindezeket az utálatosságokat, ezért bizonnyal meghal, és vére őrajta!

Uzsorára adott és kamatot vett: és az ilyen éljen? Nem él! Mindezeket az útálatosságokat cselekedte, halállal haljon meg, az ő vére legyen ő rajta!

Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

împrumută cu dobândă şi ia camătă, s-ar putea oare să trăiască un astfel de fiu? Nu va trăi; a săvârşit toate aceste urâciuni, de aceea trebuie să moară. Sângele lui să cadă asupra capului lui!

lends at interest, and takes profit; shall he then live? He shall not live. He has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon himself.

S íme, ha valaki fiat nemz, és az látja apja minden vétkét, amiket cselekszik, látja, de nem cselekszi azokat:

S ímé, ha fiat nemz, és ez látja atyjának minden vétkét, melyeket cselekszik; látja, de nem cselekszik azok szerint:

Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father's sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,

Dar dacă un om are un fiu, care vede toate păcatele tatălui său le vede, dar nu face la fel;

“Now suppose this man fathers a son who sees all the sins that his father has done; he sees, and does not do likewise:

nem eszik a hegyeken, szemét nem emeli föl Izráel házának bálványaira, nem teszi tisztátalanná felebarátja feleségét,

A hegyeken nem eszik, és szemeit nem emeli fel Izráel házának bálványaira, felebarátjának feleségét meg nem fertézteti,

That hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour's wife,

dacă fiul acela nu mănâncă pe munţi şi nu ridică ochii spre idolii casei lui Israel, nu necinsteşte pe nevasta aproapelui său,

he does not eat upon the mountains or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, does not defile his neighbor’s wife,

senkit sem nyomorgat, zálogot sem kér, semmit sem vesz el erőszakkal, kenyeréből ad az éhezőnek, és befedi ruhával a mezítelent,

És senkit sem nyomorgat, zálogot nem vesz, ragadományt nem ragadoz, kenyerét az éhezőnek adja és a mezítelent ruhával befödi;

Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment,

nu asupreşte pe nimeni, nu ia niciun zălog, nu răpeşte, ci dă din pâinea lui celui flămând şi acoperă cu o haină pe cel gol,

does not oppress anyone, exacts no pledge, commits no robbery, but gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with a garment,

a szegényre nem veti rá a kezét, uzsorát és kamatot nem kér, törvényeim szerint cselekszik, rendelkezéseim szerint jár – az ilyen nem hal meg apja vétkéért, hanem élni fog.

A szegényre nem veti rá kezét, uzsorát és kamatot nem vesz, törvényeim szerint cselekszik, parancsolataimban jár: az ilyen ne haljon meg atyja vétkéért, [hanem] élvén éljen.

That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.

îşi abate mâna de la nelegiuire, nu ia nici dobândă, nici camătă, păzeşte poruncile Mele şi urmează legile Mele, acela nu va muri pentru nelegiuirea tatălui său, ci va trăi negreşit.

withholds his hand from iniquity, takes no interest or profit, obeys my rules, and walks in my statutes; he shall not die for his father’s iniquity; he shall surely live.

Apja viszont, mivel elnyomta a szegényt, és erőszakkal elvette, ami a testvéréé, és azt cselekedte népe között, ami nem jó: íme, meghal a maga bűnéért.

Atyja, mert nyomorgatást követett el, ragadományt ragadozott atyjafiától, és a mi nem jó, azt cselekedte népe között: ímé meghal a maga vétkéért.

As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.

Dar tatăl său, care a fost un asupritor, a răpit de la alţii, a făcut în mijlocul poporului său ce nu este bine, el va muri pentru nelegiuirea lui!

As for his father, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother, and did what is not good among his people, behold, he shall die for his iniquity.

Ti azt mondjátok: Miért ne viselje a fiú is az apa büntetését? Mivel a fiú törvény szerint és igazságosan jár el, minden rendelkezésemet megtartja, s megcselekszi azokat: ezért élni fog.

És ti ezt mondjátok: Miért ne viselje a fiú az apa vétkét? Ám a fiú, törvény szerint és igazságot cselekedett, minden parancsolatimat megtartotta s cselekedte azokat: élvén éljen.

Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.

Voi însă ziceţi: „Pentru ce nu poartă fiul pedeapsa pentru nelegiuirea tatălui său?” Pentru că fiul a lucrat după neprihănire şi dreptate, a păzit şi a împlinit toate legile Mele; el va trăi negreşit!

“Yet you say, ‘Why should not the son suffer for the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done what is just and right, and has been careful to observe all my statutes, he shall surely live.

Amely lélek vétkezik, annak kell meghalnia. A fiú ne viselje az apa büntetését, az apa se viselje a fiú büntetését. Az igazon legyen az ő igazsága és a gonoszon is az ő gonoszsága.

A mely lélek vétkezik, annak kell meghalni; a fiú ne viselje az apa vétkét, se az apa ne viselje a fiú vétkét; az igazon legyen az ő igazsága, és a gonoszon az ő gonoszsága.

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Sufletul care păcătuieşte, acela va muri. Fiul nu va purta nelegiuirea tatălui său, şi tatăl nu va purta nelegiuirea fiului său! Neprihănirea celui neprihănit va fi peste el, şi răutatea celui rău va fi peste el.

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

És ha a gonosztevő megtér minden vétkéből, amiket cselekedett, és megtartja minden rendelkezésemet, és törvény szerint és igazságosan cselekszik: akkor élni fog, és nem hal meg.

És ha a gonosztevő megtér minden vétkéből, melyeket cselekedett, és megtartja minden parancsolatimat, és törvény szerint és igazságot cselekszik: élvén éljen, és meg ne haljon.

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Dar dacă cel rău se întoarce de la toate păcatele pe care le-a săvârşit şi păzeşte toate legile Mele, şi face ce este drept şi plăcut, va trăi negreşit, nu va muri.

“But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

Nem emlékezem meg többé semmi gonoszságáról, amelyet cselekedett. Igazságáért, amelyet cselekedett, élni fog.

Semmi gonoszságáról, melyet cselekedett, emlékezés nem lészen; az ő igazságáért, melyet cselekedett, élni fog.

All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

Toate fărădelegile pe care le-a făcut i se vor uita! El va trăi din pricina neprihănirii în care a trăit.

None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live.

Hát kívánom én a gonosz halálát? – ezt kérdi az én Uram, az ÚR. Nem, hanem inkább azt, hogy megtérjen útjáról, és éljen!

Hát kivánva kivánom én a gonosznak halálát? ezt mondja az Úr Isten! nem [inkább] azt, hogy megtérjen útjáról és éljen?

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Doresc Eu moartea păcătosului – zice Domnul Dumnezeu. Nu doresc Eu mai degrabă ca el să se întoarcă de pe căile lui şi să trăiască?

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord GOD, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?

És ha az igaz elhajol az igazságtól, és gonoszságot cselekszik, olyan utálatosságokat, amelyeket a hitetlen szokott cselekedni: az ilyen életben maradjon-e? Nem emlékezem meg semmi igazságáról, amelyet cselekedett. Gonoszságáért, amelyet cselekedett, és vétkéért, amellyel vétkezett, meg kell halnia!

És ha az igaz elhajol az ő igazságától, és gonoszságot cselekszik, minden útálatosság szerint, melyeket a hitetlen cselekedett, cselekeszik, nemde éljen-é? Semmi igazságairól, a melyeket cselekedett, emlékezés nem lészen: gonoszságáért, melyet cselekedett, és az ő vétkéért, melylyel vétkezett, ezekért meg kell halnia.

But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

Însă dacă cel neprihănit se abate de la neprihănirea lui şi săvârşeşte nelegiuirea, dacă se ia după toate urâciunile celui rău, s-ar putea să trăiască el oare? Nu, ci toată neprihănirea lui va fi uitată, pentru că s-a dat la nelegiuire şi la păcat; de aceea va muri în ele.

But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die.

Ti azt mondjátok: Nem egyenes az ÚR útja! Halljátok meg, Izráel háza: nem egyenes az én utam? Inkább a ti útjaitok nem egyenesek!

És azt mondjátok: Nem igazságos az Úrnak útja! Oh, halljátok meg, Izráel háza: az én útam nem igazságos-é? nem [inkább] a ti útaitok nem igazságosak-é?

Yet ye say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

Voi ziceţi: „Calea Domnului nu este dreaptă!” Ascultaţi, dar, casa lui Israel! Nu este calea Mea dreaptă? Oare nu mai degrabă căile voastre nu sunt drepte?

“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just?

Ha elhajol az igaz az igazságtól, és gonoszságot cselekszik, és amiatt meghal: gonoszsága miatt hal meg, amelyet cselekedett.

Ha elhajol az igaz az ő igazságától, és gonoszságot cselekszik, és a miatt meghal: gonoszsága miatt hal meg, melyet cselekedett.

When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

Dacă cel neprihănit se abate de la neprihănirea lui şi săvârşeşte nelegiuirea, şi moare pentru aceasta, moare din pricina nelegiuirii pe care a săvârşit-o.

When a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it; for the injustice that he has done he shall die.

És ha a gonosztevő megtér gonoszságából, amelyet cselekedett, és törvény szerint és igazságosan cselekszik, megmenti lelkét az életre.

És ha a gonosztevő megtér az ő gonoszságától, melyet cselekedett, és törvény szerint és igazságot cselekszik: ez az ő lelkét megtartja életben.

Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

Dar dacă cel rău se întoarce de la răutatea lui şi face ce este drept şi bine, îşi va păstra sufletul viu.

Again, when a wicked person turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he shall save his life.

Mivel belátja, és megtér minden gonoszságából, melyeket cselekedett: élni fog, és nem hal meg.

Mert belátta és megtért minden gonoszságától, melyeket cselekedett: élvén éljen, ne haljon meg.

Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Pentru că îşi deschide ochii şi se abate de la toate fărădelegile pe care le-a săvârşit, va trăi, şi nu va muri.

Because he considered and turned away from all the transgressions that he had committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

Izráel háza azt mondja: Nem egyenes az ÚR útja! Az én útjaim nem egyenesek-e, Izráel háza? Inkább a ti útjaitok nem egyenesek!

És azt mondja az Izráel háza: Nem igazságos az Úrnak útja! Az én útaim nem igazságosak-é, Izráel háza? nem [inkább] a ti útaitok nem igazságosak-é?

Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the LORD is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?

Casa lui Israel zice: „Calea Domnului nu este dreaptă.” Oare calea Mea nu este dreaptă, casa lui Israel? Oare nu mai degrabă căile voastre nu sunt drepte?

Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ O house of Israel, are my ways not just? Is it not your ways that are not just?

Ezért mindegyikőtöket az ő útjai szerint ítélem meg, Izráel háza – ezt mondja az én Uram, az ÚR. Térjetek meg, és forduljatok el minden vétketektől, hogy romlásotokra ne legyen gonoszságotok!

Ennekokáért mindeniteket az ő útai szerint ítélem, Izráel háza, ezt mondja az Úr Isten. Térjetek meg és forduljatok el minden vétkeitektől, hogy romlástokra ne legyen gonoszságotok.

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

De aceea vă voi judeca pe fiecare după căile lui, casă a lui Israel, zice Domnul Dumnezeu. Întoarceţi-vă şi abateţi-vă de la toate fărădelegile voastre, pentru ca să nu vă ducă nelegiuirea la pieire.

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord GOD. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin.

Vessétek el magatoktól minden vétketeket, amelyekkel vétkeztetek, és szerezzetek magatoknak új szívet és új lelket! Miért halnátok meg, ó, Izráel háza?

Vessétek el magatoktól minden vétkeiteket, melyekkel vétkeztetek, és szerezzetek magatoknak új szívet és új lelket; Miért halnátok meg, oh Izráel háza!?

Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Lepădaţi de la voi toate fărădelegile prin care aţi păcătuit, faceţi-vă rost de o inimă nouă şi un duh nou. Pentru ce vreţi să muriţi, casă a lui Israel?

Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel?

Mert nem gyönyörködöm a meghaló halálában – ezt mondja az én Uram, az ÚR. Térjetek meg azért, és éljetek!

Mert nem gyönyörködöm a meghaló halálában, ezt mondja az Úr Isten. Térjetek meg azért és éljetek!

For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Căci Eu nu doresc moartea celui ce moare, zice Domnul Dumnezeu. Întoarceţi-vă, dar, la Dumnezeu şi veţi trăi.”

For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord GOD; so turn, and live.”
