Majd így szólt hozzám az ÚR szava:

És lőn az Úr beszéde hozzám, mondván:

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Cuvântul Domnului mi-a vorbit astfel:

And the word of the LORD came to me:

Embernek fia! Mire való a szőlőtőke fája minden más fa között, a venyige, mely az erdő fái között van?

Embernek fia! mire való a szőlőtőke fája egyéb fa között, a venyige, mely az erdő fái között van?

Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?

„Fiul omului, ce are lemnul de viţă mai mult decât orice alt lemn, viţele de vie mai mult decât cele ce sunt printre copacii din pădure?

“Son of man, how does the wood of the vine surpass any wood, the vine branch that is among the trees of the forest?

Használják-e a fáját, hogy valamit csináljanak belőle? Használják-e cöveknek, hogy mindenféle edényt akasszanak rá?

Avagy vesznek-é abból fát, hogy valami eszközt csináljanak belőle? avagy vesznek-é belőle szeget, hogy mindenféle edényt akaszszanak reá?

Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?

Ia oare cineva din lemnul acesta ca să facă vreo lucrare? Face cineva din el vreun cârlig de atârnat ceva în el?

Is wood taken from it to make anything? Do people take a peg from it to hang any vessel on it?

Íme, a tűzre vetik, hogy az megeméssze. És ha a két végét megemésztette már a tűz, és a közepe is megperzselődött, vajon alkalmas-e eszközkészítésre?

Ímé a tűznek adatott, hogy megemészsze; két végét megemésztette már a tűz, és közepe megpörkölődött, vajjon való-é valami eszközre?

Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?

Iată că este pus pe foc să ardă; după ce îi arde focul cele două capete şi mijlocul, mai poate fi el bun de ceva?

Behold, it is given to the fire for fuel. When the fire has consumed both ends of it, and the middle of it is charred, is it useful for anything?

Íme, amíg ép volt, semmiféle eszköznek nem volt jó. Mennyivel kevésbé készíthetnek belőle valamit most, mikor a tűz megemésztette, és megperzselődött!

Ímé, míg ép vala, semmi eszközre nem vala jó; menynyivel kevésbbé csinálhatnak belőle valamit most, mikor a tűz megemésztette és megpörkölődött!

Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?

Iată, când era întreg, nu se putea face nimic din el; cu cât mai puţin acum după ce l-a mistuit şi l-a ars focul, s-ar mai putea face vreo lucrare din el?

Behold, when it was whole, it was used for nothing. How much less, when the fire has consumed it and it is charred, can it ever be used for anything!

Azért így szól az én Uram, az ÚR: Amint a szőlőtőke fáját az erdő fái közül a tűzre dobom, hogy megeméssze azt, úgy adom oda Jeruzsálem lakóit,

Azért így szól az Úr Isten: A mint a szőlőtőke fáját az erdő fái közül a tűznek adtam megemésztésre, úgy adtam oda Jeruzsálem lakóit;

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu: „Ca lemnul de viţă dintre copacii din pădure, pe care-l pun pe foc să-l ard, aşa voi da şi pe locuitorii Ierusalimului.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

és ellenük fordítom arcomat. Tűzből jöttek ki, és tűz emészti meg őket; akkor megtudjátok, hogy én vagyok az ÚR, amikor arcom ellenük fordul.

És ellenök fordítom arczomat. A tűzből jöttek ki és a tűz emészsze meg őket, és megtudjátok, hogy én vagyok az Úr, mikor arczomat ellenök fordítom.

And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.

Îmi voi întoarce faţa împotriva lor; au ieşit din foc, dar focul îi va arde de tot. Şi veţi şti că Eu sunt Domnul, când Îmi voi întoarce faţa împotriva lor.

And I will set my face against them. Though they escape from the fire, the fire shall yet consume them, and you will know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.

Pusztasággá teszem a földet, mivel elpártoltak tőlem – ezt mondja az én Uram, az ÚR.

És teszem a földet pusztasággá, mivelhogy elpártoltak tőlem, ezt mondja az Úr Isten.

And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD.

Voi preface ţara într-un pustiu, pentru că au fost necredincioşi, zice Domnul Dumnezeu.”

And I will make the land desolate, because they have acted faithlessly, declares the Lord GOD.”
