Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;

„Şi tu, fiul omului, rosteşte această cântare de jale asupra Tirului!

“Now you, son of man, raise a lamentation over Tyre,

Ezt mondd Tírusznak, amely a tenger révhelyein lakik, és sok sziget népével kereskedik: Így szól az én Uram, az ÚR: „Ó, Tírusz, te ezt mondtad: Tökéletes szépségű vagyok.

És mondjad Tírusnak: Ki lakol a tenger révhelyein, ki a népek között kereskedik sok sziget felé, így szól az Úr Isten: Oh Tírus, te ezt mondtad: Én tökéletes szépségben vagyok.

And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.

Spune Tirului: „Tu, care stai pe malul mării şi faci negoţ cu popoarele unui mare număr de ostroave, aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu: „Tirule, tu ziceai: „Eu sunt de o desăvârşită frumuseţe!”

and say to Tyre, who dwells at the entrances to the sea, merchant of the peoples to many coastlands, thus says the Lord GOD: “O Tyre, you have said, ‘I am perfect in beauty.’

Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, and in all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

Your riches, your wares, your merchandise, your mariners and your pilots, your caulkers, your dealers in merchandise, and all your men of war who are in you, with all your crew that is in your midst, sink into the heart of the seas on the day of your fall.

And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?

Amikor áruid célhoz értek a tengerről, sok népet elégítettél meg, gazdagságod és portékáid sokaságával meggazdagítottad a föld királyait.

Mikor kimennek vala árúid a tengerekből, sok népet megelégítél; gazdagságod és csereárúid sokaságával meggazdagítád a földnek királyait.

When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou filledst many people; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise.

When your wares came from the seas, you satisfied many peoples; with your abundant wealth and merchandise you enriched the kings of the earth.

All the inhabitants of the coastlands are appalled at you, and the hair of their kings bristles with horror; their faces are convulsed.

A népek kereskedői fölszisszennek miattad. Rémséges véged lett, s többé soha nem leszel!

A népek közt való kereskedők fütyölnek feletted. Rémségessé lettél, s többé örökké nem leszel!

The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more.

Negustorii popoarelor fluieră asupra ta! Eşti nimicit de tot şi te-ai dus pentru totdeauna!”

The merchants among the peoples hiss at you; you have come to a dreadful end and shall be no more forever.’”
