Ezért elhagyva a Krisztusról való kezdetleges beszédet, törekedjünk a tökéletességre. Ne kezdjük el újra lerakni az alapját a holt cselekedetekből való megtérésnek és az Istenbe vetett hitnek,

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

De aceea, să lăsăm adevărurile începătoare ale lui Hristos şi să mergem spre cele desăvârşite, fără să mai punem din nou temelia pocăinţei de faptele moarte şi a credinţei în Dumnezeu,

Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

a mosakodásokról, a kézrátevésről, a halottak feltámadásáról és az örök ítéletről szóló tanításnak.

A mosakodásoknak, tanításnak, kezek rátevésének, holtak feltámadásának és az örök ítéletnek.

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

învăţătura despre botezuri, despre punerea mâinilor, despre învierea morţilor şi despre judecata veşnică.

and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

Ha Isten megengedi, ezt meg is tesszük.

És ezt megcselekeszszük, ha az Isten megengedi.

And this will we do, if God permit.

Şi vom face lucrul acesta, dacă va voi Dumnezeu.

And this we will do if God permits.

Mert lehetetlen dolog, hogy akik egyszer megvilágosíttattak, és megízlelték a mennyei ajándékot, és részeseivé lettek a Szentléleknek,

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Căci cei ce au fost luminaţi odată – şi au gustat darul ceresc, şi s-au făcut părtaşi Duhului Sfânt,

For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit,

akik megízlelték az Isten jó beszédét és az eljövendő világ erőit,

És megízlelték az Istennek jó beszédét és a jövendő világnak erőit,

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

şi au gustat Cuvântul cel bun al lui Dumnezeu şi puterile veacului viitor –

and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come,

de elestek, ismét megújuljanak a megtérésre, mert újra megfeszítik önmaguknak és nyilvánosan megcsúfolják az Isten Fiát.

És elestek, ismét megújuljanak a megtérésre, mint a kik önmagoknak feszítik meg az Istennek ama Fiát, és meggyalázzák őt.

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

şi care totuşi au căzut, este cu neputinţă să fie înnoiţi iarăşi şi aduşi la pocăinţă, fiindcă ei răstignesc din nou, pentru ei, pe Fiul lui Dumnezeu şi-L dau să fie batjocorit.

and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.

Mert a föld, amely beissza a gyakran ráhulló esőt, és hasznos termést hoz a földművesnek, áldást nyer Istentől,

Mert a föld, a mely beiszsza a gyakorta reá hulló esőt és hasznos füvet terem azoknak, a kikért műveltetik, áldást nyer Istentől;

For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

Când un pământ este adăpat de ploaia care cade adesea pe el şi rodeşte o iarbă folositoare celor pentru care este lucrat, capătă binecuvântare de la Dumnezeu.

For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God.

amelyik pedig tövist és bogáncskórót terem, az megvetett, közel van az átokhoz, és a vége megégetés.

A mely pedig töviseket és bojtorjánokat terem, megvetett és közel van az átokhoz, annak vége megégetés.

But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Dar, dacă aduce spini şi mărăcini, este lepădat şi aproape să fie blestemat şi sfârşeşte prin a i se pune foc.

But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.

De ha így szólunk is, szeretteim, felőletek ezeknél jobb dolgokról vagyunk meggyőződve, ami üdvösséggel jár.

De ti felőletek szerelmeseim, ezeknél jobb és idvességesebb dolgokról vagyunk meggyőződve, ha így szólunk is.

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

Măcar că vorbim astfel, preaiubiţilor, totuşi de la voi aşteptăm lucruri mai bune şi care însoţesc mântuirea.

Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation.

Mert Isten nem igazságtalan, hogy elfelejtkezzék a ti cselekedeteitekről és a szeretetről, amelyet az ő neve iránt tanúsítottatok, amikor a szenteknek szolgáltatok és szolgáltok.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end,

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Mert Isten, amikor ígéretet tett Ábrahámnak, mivelhogy nem esküdhetett nagyobbra, önmagára esküdött,

For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself,

és így szólt: Bizony megáldalak téged, és bizony megsokasítlak téged.

Mondván: Bizony megáldván megáldalak téged, és megsokasítván megsokasítalak téged.

Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

şi a zis: „Cu adevărat te voi binecuvânta şi îţi voi înmulţi foarte mult sămânţa.”

saying, “Surely I will bless you and multiply you.”

És mivel hosszútűrő volt, megkapta az ígéretet.

És ekképen, békességestűrő lévén, megnyerte az ígéretet.

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Şi astfel, fiindcă a aşteptat cu răbdare, a dobândit făgăduinţa.

And thus Abraham, having patiently waited, obtained the promise.

Mert az emberek nagyobbra esküsznek, és náluk minden vitának véget vet és mindent megerősít az eskü.

For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

Oamenii, ce-i drept, obişnuiesc să jure pe cineva mai mare; jurământul este o chezăşie care pune capăt oricărei neînţelegeri dintre ei.

For people swear by something greater than themselves, and in all their disputes an oath is final for confirmation.

Ezért Isten is esküvéssel kezeskedett, mert még meggyőzőbben akarta megmutatni az ígéret örököseinek, hogy végzése változhatatlan.

Miért is az Isten, kiválóbban megakarván mutatni az ígéret örököseinek az ő végzése változhatatlan voltát, esküvéssel lépett közbe,

Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

De aceea şi Dumnezeu, fiindcă voia să dovedească cu mai multă tărie moştenitorilor făgăduinţei nestrămutarea hotărârii Lui, a venit cu un jurământ;

So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath,

Azért, hogy két változhatatlan tény által, amelyekre nézve lehetetlen, hogy Isten hazudjon, erős vigasztalásunk legyen nekünk, akik hozzá menekültünk, hogy megragadjuk az előttünk levő reménységet,

That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

pentru ca, prin două lucruri care nu se pot schimba şi în care este cu neputinţă ca Dumnezeu să mintă, să găsim o puternică îmbărbătare noi, a căror scăpare a fost să apucăm nădejdea care ne era pusă înainte,

so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

pe care o avem ca o ancoră a sufletului; o nădejde tare şi neclintită, care pătrunde dincolo de perdeaua dinăuntrul Templului,

We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,

ahova útnyitóul bement értünk Jézus, aki örökre a Melkisédek rendje szerinti főpap lett.

A hová útnyitóul bement érettünk Jézus, a ki örökké való főpap lett Melkisédek rendje szerint.

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

unde Isus a intrat pentru noi ca înainte-mergător, când a fost făcut „Mare Preot în veac, după rânduiala lui Melhisedec”.

where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
