Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.

Tiszteletre méltó legyen a házasság mindenki előtt, és szeplőtelen a házaságy. A paráznákat pedig és a házasságtörőket Isten megítéli.

Tisztességes minden tekintetben a házasság és a szeplőtelen házaságy; a paráznákat pedig és a házasságrontókat megítéli az Isten.

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Căsătoria să fie ţinută în toată cinstea, şi patul să fie nespurcat, căci Dumnezeu va judeca pe curvari şi pe preacurvari.

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Să nu fiţi iubitori de bani. Mulţumiţi-vă cu ce aveţi, căci El însuşi a zis: „Nicidecum n-am să te las, cu niciun chip nu te voi părăsi.”

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

Emlékezzetek meg elöljáróitokról, akik Isten beszédét hirdették nektek, figyeljetek életük végére, és kövessétek hitüket!

Emlékezzetek meg a ti előljáróitokról, a kik szólották néktek az Isten beszédét, és figyelmezvén az ő életök végére, kövessétek hitöket.

Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

Aduceţi-vă aminte de mai marii voştri, care v-au vestit Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu; uitaţi-vă cu băgare de seamă la sfârşitul felului lor de vieţuire şi urmaţi-le credinţa!

Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.

Ne hagyjátok, hogy különféle idegen tanításokkal félrevezessenek! Mert jó dolog kegyelemmel erősíteni meg a szívet, nem ennivalókkal, amelyeknek semmi hasznát sem veszik azok, akik velük élnek.

Különböző és idegen tudományok által ne hagyjátok magatokat félrevezettetni; mert jó dolog, hogy kegyelemmel erősíttessék meg a szív, nem ennivalókkal, a melyeknek semmi hasznát sem veszik azok, a kik azok körül járnak.

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Să nu vă lăsaţi amăgiţi de orice fel de învăţături străine; căci este bine ca inima să fie întărită prin har, nu prin mâncări, care n-au slujit la nimic celor ce le-au păzit.

Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them.

Általa vigyük fel a dicséret áldozatát mindenkor Istennek, azaz az ő nevéről vallást tevő ajkak gyümölcsét.

Annakokáért ő általa vigyünk dícséretnek áldozatát mindenkor Isten elé, azaz az ő nevéről vallást tevő ajkaknak gyümölcsét.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Engedelmeskedjetek előljáróitoknak és fogadjatok szót, mert ők vigyáznak lelkeitekre, mint számadók; hogy ezt örömmel míveljék és nem bánkódva, mert ez néktek nem használ.

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Ascultaţi de mai marii voştri şi fiţi-le supuşi, căci ei priveghează asupra sufletelor voastre, ca unii care au să dea socoteală de ele; pentru ca să poată face lucrul acesta cu bucurie, nu suspinând, căci aşa ceva nu v-ar fi de niciun folos.

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Imádkozzatok értünk! Mert meg vagyunk győződve arról, hogy jó lelkiismeretünk van, és igyekszünk mindenben tisztességesen eljárni.

Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

Rugaţi-vă pentru noi; căci suntem încredinţaţi că avem un cuget bun, dorind să ne purtăm bine în toate lucrurile.

Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things.

Különösképpen pedig azt kérem, hogy tegyetek meg mindent, hogy mihamarabb visszakerüljek hozzátok.

Kiváltképen pedig arra kérlek, hogy ezt cselekedjétek, hogy mihamarább visszaadhassam néktek.

But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
