Mivel a törvényben csak az eljövendő jó árnyéka van meg, nem maga a dolgok valós képe, ezért azokkal az áldozatokkal, amelyeket évről évre szüntelenül bemutatnak, sohasem képesek tökéletességre juttatni az odajárulókat.

Minthogy a törvényben a jövendő jóknak árnyéka, nem maga a dolgok képe van meg, ennélfogva azokkal az áldozatokkal, a melyeket esztendőnként szünetlenül visznek, sohasem képes tökéletességre juttatni az odajárulókat;

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

În adevăr, Legea, care are umbra bunurilor viitoare, nu înfăţişarea adevărată a lucrurilor, nu poate niciodată, prin aceleaşi jertfe care se aduc neîncetat în fiecare an, să facă desăvârşiţi pe cei ce se apropie.

For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near.

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

Altfel, n-ar fi încetat ele oare să fie aduse, dacă cei ce le aduceau, fiind curăţaţi o dată, n-ar mai fi trebuit să mai aibă cunoştinţă de păcate?

Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sins?

De azok évről évre a bűnökre emlékeztetnek.

De azok esztendőnként bűnre emlékeztetnek.

But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

Azért e világba jövetelekor így szól: Áldozatot és ajándékot nem akartál, de testet alkottál nekem,

Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

De aceea, când intră în lume, El zice: „Tu n-ai voit nici jertfă, nici prinos; ci Mi-ai pregătit un trup;

Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body have you prepared for me;

Akkor ezt mondtam: Íme, itt vagyok, a könyvtekercsben írva van rólam, hogy cselekedjem a te akaratodat, Istenem.

Akkor mondám: Ímé itt vagyok, (a könyv fejezetében írva vagyon rólam), hogy cselekedjem óh Isten a te akaratodat.

Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Atunci am zis: „Iată-Mă (în sulul cărţii este scris despre Mine), vin să fac voia Ta, Dumnezeule!”

Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’”

Előbb azt mondta, hogy áldozatot és ajándékot, égő- és bűnért való áldozatot nem akartál, nem is kedveltél, amelyeket a törvény szerint bemutatnak,

Fentebb mondván, hogy áldozatot és ajándékot és égő, meg bűnért való áldozatokat nem akartál, sem nem kedveltél a melyeket a törvény szerint visznek,

Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

După ce a zis întâi: „Tu n-ai voit şi n-ai primit nici jertfe, nici prinosuri, nici arderi de tot, nici jertfe pentru păcat” (lucruri aduse toate după Lege),

When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law),

azután így szólt: Íme, itt vagyok, hogy cselekedjem a te akaratodat. Eltörli az elsőt, hogy helyébe állítsa a másodikat.

Ekkor ezt mondotta: Ímé itt vagyok, hogy cselekedjem a te akaratodat. Eltörli az elsőt, hogy meghagyja a másodikat,

Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

apoi zice: „Iată-Mă, vin să fac voia Ta, Dumnezeule.” El desfiinţează astfel pe cele dintâi, ca să pună în loc pe a doua.

then he added, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second.

Ezzel az akarattal vagyunk megszentelve egyszer s mindenkorra, Jézus Krisztus testének megáldozása által.

A mely akarattal szenteltettünk meg egyszer s mindenkorra, a Jézus Krisztus testének megáldozása által.

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Prin această „voie” am fost sfinţiţi noi, şi anume prin jertfirea trupului lui Isus Hristos o dată pentru totdeauna.

And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Minden pap naponként szolgálatban áll, és sokszor mutatja be ugyanazokat az áldozatokat, amelyek sohasem képesek eltörölni a bűnöket.

És minden pap naponként szolgálatban áll és gyakorta viszi ugyanazokat az áldozatokat, a melyek sohasem képesek eltörölni a bűnöket.

And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

Şi, pe când orice preot face slujba în fiecare zi şi aduce de multe ori aceleaşi jertfe, care niciodată nu pot şterge păcatele,

And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

Ő azonban egyetlen áldozattal áldozva a bűnökért mindörökre az Isten jobbjára ült,

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

şi aşteaptă de acum ca vrăjmaşii Lui să-I fie făcuţi aşternut al picioarelor Lui.

waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet.

Căci printr-o singură jertfă El a făcut desăvârşiţi pentru totdeauna pe cei ce sunt sfinţiţi.

For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

De bizonyságot tesz erről nekünk a Szentlélek is, mert utána így szól:

Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,

Ez az a szövetség, amelyet kötök velük ama napok után – azt mondja az Úr –, törvényemet a szívükbe adom, és elméjükbe írom be azokat,

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

„Iată legământul pe care-l voi face cu ei după acele zile, zice Domnul: voi pune legile Mele în inimile lor şi le voi scrie în mintea lor”,

“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,”

bűneikről és álnokságaikról többé meg nem emlékezem.

[Azután így szól:] És az ő bűneikről és álnokságaikról többé meg nem emlékezem.

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

adaugă: „Şi nu-Mi voi mai aduce aminte de păcatele lor, nici de fărădelegile lor.”

then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”

Ahol pedig bűnbocsánat van, ott nincs többé bűnért való áldozat.

A hol pedig bűnök bocsánata vagyon, ott nincs többé bűnért való áldozat.

Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Dar acolo unde este iertare de păcate nu mai este nevoie de jertfă pentru păcat.

Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

Mivelhogy azért, testvéreim, bizalmunk van a szentélybe való bemenetelre Jézus vére által

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus,

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

és testük meg van mosva tiszta vízzel. Ragaszkodjunk a reménység hitvallásához tántoríthatatlanul, mert hű az, aki ígéretet tett.

És testök meg van mosva tiszta vízzel; tartsuk meg a reménységnek vallását tántoríthatatlanul, mert hű az, a ki ígéretet tett,

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Să ţinem fără şovăire la mărturisirea nădejdii noastre, căci credincios este Cel ce a făcut făgăduinţa.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

Legyen gondunk arra, hogy egymást buzdítsuk a szeretetre és a jó cselekedetekre,

És ügyeljünk egymásra, a szeretetre és jó cselekedetekre való felbuzdulás végett,

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Să veghem unii asupra altora, ca să ne îndemnăm la dragoste şi la fapte bune.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

nem hagyva el összejöveteleinket, ahogyan szokásuk némelyeknek, hanem intve egymást annyival inkább, mivel látjátok, hogy közeledik az a nap.

El nem hagyván a magunk gyülekezetét, a miképen szokásuk némelyeknek, hanem intvén egymást annyival inkább, mivel látjátok, hogy ama nap közelget.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Să nu părăsim adunarea noastră, cum au unii obicei; ci să ne îndemnăm unii pe alţii şi cu atât mai mult, cu cât vedeţi că ziua se apropie.

not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Mert ha szándékosan vétkezünk, miután eljutottunk az igazság megismerésére, akkor többé nincs bűnökért való áldozat,

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.

Aki megveti Mózes törvényét, két vagy három tanúbizonyságra, irgalom nélkül meghal.

A ki megveti a Mózes törvényét, két vagy három tanubizonyságra irgalom nélkül meghal;

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Cine a călcat Legea lui Moise este omorât fără milă, pe mărturia a doi sau trei martori.

Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses.

Gondoljátok meg, mennyivel súlyosabb büntetésre méltó az, aki az Isten Fiát megtapossa, és a szövetség vérét, amellyel megszenteltetett, tisztátalannak tartja, és a kegyelem Lelkét megcsúfolja!

Gondoljátok meg, mennyivel súlyosabb büntetésre méltónak ítéltetik az, a ki az Isten Fiát megtapodja, és a szövetségnek vérét, melylyel megszenteltetett, tisztátalannak tartja, és a kegyelemnek Lelkét bántalmazza?

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Cu cât mai aspră pedeapsă credeţi că va lua cel ce va călca în picioare pe Fiul lui Dumnezeu, va pângări sângele legământului, cu care a fost sfinţit, şi va batjocori pe Duhul harului?

How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?

Mert ismerjük azt, aki így szólt: Enyém a bosszúállás, én megfizetek. És ismét: Az Úr megítéli az ő népét.

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Căci ştim cine este Cel ce a zis: „A Mea este răzbunarea, Eu voi răsplăti!”, şi în altă parte: „Domnul va judeca pe poporul Său.”

For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.”

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

Aduceţi-vă aminte de zilele de la început, când, după ce aţi fost luminaţi, aţi dus o mare luptă de suferinţe:

But recall the former days when, after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings,

Mert egyrészt gyalázásokkal és szorongattatásokkal nyilvánosan megszégyenítettek titeket, másrészt társai lettetek azoknak, akikkel így bántak.

Midőn egyfelől gyalázásokkal és nyomorgattatásokkal nyilvánosság elé hurczoltak titeket, másfelől társai lettetek azoknak, a kik így jártak.

Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

For, “Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay;

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Şi cel neprihănit va trăi prin credinţă; dar, dacă dă înapoi, sufletul Meu nu găseşte plăcere în el.”

but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”

But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.
