Mert ez a Melkisédek, Sálem királya, a felséges Isten papja, aki a királyok leveréséből visszatérő Ábrahámmal találkozva őt megáldotta.

Mert ez a Melkisédek Sálem királya, a felséges Isten papja, a ki a királyok leveréséből visszatérő Ábrahámmal találkozván, őt megáldotta,

For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

În adevăr, Melhisedec acesta, împăratul Salemului, preot al Dumnezeului Preaînalt – care a întâmpinat pe Avraam când acesta se întorcea de la măcelul împăraţilor, care l-a binecuvântat,

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

Ábrahám pedig tizedet adott neki mindenből, aki – ha a nevét magyarázzuk – először is az igazság királya, azután pedig Sálem királya is, azaz a békesség királya,

A kinek tizedet is adott Ábrahám mindenből: a ki elsőben is magyarázat szerint igazság királya, azután pedig Sálem királya is, azaz békesség királya,

To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

care a primit de la Avraam zeciuială din tot, care, după însemnătatea numelui său, este întâi „împărat al neprihănirii”, apoi şi „împărat al Salemului”, adică „împărat al păcii”;

and to him Abraham apportioned a tenth part of everything. He is first, by translation of his name, king of righteousness, and then he is also king of Salem, that is, king of peace.

apa nélkül, anya nélkül, nemzetség nélkül való; sem napjainak kezdete, sem életének vége nincs, de miután hasonlóvá lett az Isten Fiához, pap marad örökké.

Apa nélkül, anya nélkül, nemzetség nélkül való; sem napjainak kezdete, sem életének vége nincs, de hasonlóvá tétetvén az Isten Fiához, pap marad örökké.

Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

fără tată, fără mamă, fără spiţă de neam, neavând nici început al zilelor, nici sfârşit al vieţii, dar care a fost asemănat cu Fiul lui Dumnezeu – rămâne preot în veac.

He is without father or mother or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God he continues a priest forever.

Nézzétek, milyen nagy az, akinek Ábrahám, a pátriárka zsákmányából tizedet is adott!

Nézzétek meg pedig, mily nagy ez, a kinek a zsákmányból tizedet is adott Ábrahám, a pátriárka;

Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Vedeţi bine, dar, cât de mare a fost el, dacă până şi patriarhul Avraam i-a dat zeciuială din prada de război!

See how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils!

Azoknak, akik a Lévi fiai közül nyerik el a papságot, parancsuk van arra, hogy törvény szerint tizedet szedjenek a néptől, azaz a saját atyjafiaiktól, jóllehet ők is Ábrahám ágyékából származtak.

És bár azoknak, kik a Lévi fiai közül nyerik el a papságot, parancsolatjok van, hogy törvény szerint tizedet szedjenek a néptől, azaz az ő atyafiaiktól, jóllehet ők is az Ábrahám ágyékából származtak;

And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

Aceia dintre fiii lui Levi care îndeplinesc slujba de preoţi, după Lege, au poruncă să ia zeciuială de la norod, adică de la fraţii lor, cu toate că şi ei se coboară din Avraam.

And those descendants of Levi who receive the priestly office have a commandment in the law to take tithes from the people, that is, from their brothers, though these also are descended from Abraham.

Az pedig, aki nem az ő nemzetségükből származott, tizedet vett Ábrahámtól, és megáldotta az ígéretek birtokosát.

De az, a kinek nemzetsége nem azok közül való, tizedet vett Ábrahámtól, és az ígéretek birtokosát megáldotta,

But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

Iar el, care nu se cobora din familia lor, a luat zeciuială de la Avraam şi a binecuvântat pe cel ce avea făgăduinţele.

But this man who does not have his descent from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

Márpedig minden vitán felül áll, hogy a nagyobb áldja meg a kisebbet.

Pedig minden ellenmondás nélkül való, hogy a nagyobb áldja meg a kisebbet.

And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

Dar fără îndoială că cel mai mic este binecuvântat de cel mai mare.

It is beyond dispute that the inferior is blessed by the superior.

Itt halandó emberek szednek tizedet, ott pedig az, akiről azt valljuk, hogy él.

És itt halandó emberek szednek tizedet, ott ellenben az, a ki bizonyság szerint él:

And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Şi apoi aici, cei ce iau zeciuială sunt nişte oameni muritori; pe când acolo, o ia cineva despre care se mărturiseşte că este viu.

In the one case tithes are received by mortal men, but in the other case, by one of whom it is testified that he lives.

És hogy úgy mondjam, Ábrahám személyében a tizedszedő Lévi is tizedet adott,

És hogy úgy szóljak, Ábrahámnál fogva tized vétetett Lévitől is, a tizedszedőtől,

And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

Mai mult, însuşi Levi, care ia zeciuială, a plătit zeciuiala, ca să zicem aşa, prin Avraam;

One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,

mert még az atyja ágyékában volt, amikor Melkisédek találkozott vele.

Mert ő még az atyja ágyékában vala, a mikor annak elébe ment Melkisédek.

For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

căci era încă în coapsele strămoşului său, când a întâmpinat Melhisedec pe Avraam.

for he was still in the loins of his ancestor when Melchizedek met him.

Ha tehát a lévita papság által volna a tökéletesség, mert a nép ez alatt kapta a törvényt, mi szükség volna arra, hogy más pap támadjon, Melkisédek rendje szerint ne pedig Áron rendje szerint?

Ha tehát a lévitai papság által volna a tökéletesség (mert a nép ez alatt nyerte a törvényt): mi szükség tovább is mondogatni, hogy más pap támadjon a Melkisédek rendje szerint és ne az Áron rendje szerint?

If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Dacă, dar, desăvârşirea ar fi fost cu putinţă prin preoţia leviţilor – căci sub preoţia aceasta a primit poporul Legea – ce nevoie mai era să se ridice un alt preot „după rânduiala lui Melhisedec”, şi nu după rânduiala lui Aaron?

Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron?

For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Pentru că, odată schimbată preoţia, trebuia numaidecât să aibă loc şi o schimbare a Legii.

For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well.

Mert akiről ezeket mondjuk, az más nemzetséghez tartozott, amelyből senki sem szolgált az oltár körül.

Mert a kiről ezek mondatnak, az más nemzetségből származott, a melyből senki sem szolgált az oltár körül;

For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

În adevăr, Acela despre care sunt zise aceste lucruri face parte dintr-o altă seminţie, din care nimeni n-a slujit altarului.

For the one of whom these things are spoken belonged to another tribe, from which no one has ever served at the altar.

Mert nyilvánvaló, hogy a mi Urunk Júdából támadt, amely törzsre nézve Mózes nem beszél a papságról.

Mert nyilvánvaló, hogy a mi Urunk Júdából támadott, a mely nemzetségre nézve semmit sem szólott Mózes a papságról.

For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

Căci este vădit că Domnul nostru a ieşit din Iuda, seminţie despre care Moise n-a zis nimic cu privire la preoţie.

For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.

És ez még inkább nyilvánvaló lesz, ha Melkisédekhez hasonlóan más pap támad,

És még inkább nyilvánvaló az, ha a Melkisédek hasonlatossága szerint áll elő más pap,

And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

Lucrul acesta se face şi mai luminos când vedem ridicându-se, după asemănarea lui Melhisedec, un alt preot,

This becomes even more evident when another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek,

aki nem testi parancsolat törvénye szerint lett azzá, hanem a romolhatatlan élet ereje által.

A ki nem testi parancsolatnak törvénye szerint, hanem enyészhetetlen életnek ereje szerint lett.

Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

pus nu prin legea unei porunci pământeşti, ci prin puterea unei vieţi nepieritoare.

who has become a priest, not on the basis of a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by the power of an indestructible life.

Erről így tesz bizonyságot: Te pap vagy örökké, Melkisédek rendje szerint.

Mert ez a bizonyságtétel: Te pap vagy örökké, Melkisédek rendje szerint.

For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Fiindcă iată ce se mărturiseşte despre El: „Tu eşti Preot în veac, după rânduiala lui Melhisedec”.

For it is witnessed of him, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.”

A korábbi parancsolatot félreteszik, mivel erőtlen és haszontalan,

Mert az előbbi parancsolat eltöröltetik, mivelhogy erőtelen és haszontalan,

For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

Astfel, pe de o parte, se desfiinţează aici o poruncă de mai înainte, din pricina neputinţei şi zădărniciei ei –

For on the one hand, a former commandment is set aside because of its weakness and uselessness

mert a törvény semmit sem tett tökéletessé, de egy jobb reménységhez vezet, amely által közeledhetünk Istenhez.

Minthogy a törvény semmiben sem szerzett tökéletességet; de beáll a jobb reménység, a mely által közeledünk az Istenhez.

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

căci Legea n-a făcut nimic desăvârşit – şi, pe de alta, se pune în loc o nădejde mai bună, prin care ne apropiem de Dumnezeu.

(for the law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.

Azok eskü nélkül lettek papokká, ő viszont nem eskü nélkül,

És a mennyiben nem esküvés nélkül való, mert amazok esküvés nélkül lettek papokká,

And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

Şi, fiindcă lucrul acesta nu s-a făcut fără jurământ –

And it was not without an oath. For those who formerly became priests were made such without an oath,

hanem esküvéssel, azáltal, aki azt mondta neki: Megesküdött az Úr, és nem bánja meg, te örökké pap vagy.

De ez esküvéssel, az által, a ki azt mondá néki: Megesküdött az Úr, és nem bánja meg, te pap vagy örökké, Melkisédek rendje szerint:

(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

căci, pe când leviţii se făceau preoţi fără jurământ, Isus S-a făcut Preot prin jurământul Celui ce I-a zis: „Domnul a jurat şi nu Se va căi: „Tu eşti Preot în veac, după rânduiala lui Melhisedec” –

but this one was made a priest with an oath by the one who said to him: “The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever.’”

Ezért Jézus jobb szövetségnek lett kezesévé.

Annyiban jobb szövetségnek lett kezesévé Jézus.

By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

prin chiar faptul acesta, El S-a făcut chezaşul unui legământ mai bun.

This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.

És amíg azok többen lettek papokká, mert a halál miatt nem maradhattak meg,

És amazok jóllehet többen lettek papokká, mert a halál miatt meg nem maradhattak:

And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

Mai mult, acolo au fost preoţi în mare număr, pentru că moartea îi împiedica să rămână pururi.

The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office,

addig neki, mivel örökké megmarad, változatlan a papsága.

De ennek, minthogy örökké megmarad, változhatatlan a papsága.

But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

Dar El, fiindcă rămâne „în veac”, are o preoţie care nu poate trece de la unul la altul.

but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever.

Ennélfogva mindenkor üdvözítheti is azokat, akik általa járulnak Istenhez, mert mindenkor él, hogy közbenjárjon értük.

Ennekokáért ő mindenképen idvezítheti is azokat, a kik ő általa járulnak Istenhez, mert mindenha él, hogy esedezzék érettök.

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

De aceea şi poate să mântuiască în chip desăvârşit pe cei ce se apropie de Dumnezeu prin El, pentru că trăieşte pururi ca să mijlocească pentru ei.

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Mert ilyen főpap illett hozzánk: szent, ártatlan, szeplőtelen, a bűnösöktől elkülönített és aki az egeknél magasságosabb lett,

Mert ilyen főpap illet vala minket, szent, ártatlan, szeplőtelen, a bűnösöktől elválasztott, és a ki az egeknél magasságosabb lőn,

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Şi tocmai un astfel de Mare Preot ne trebuia: sfânt, nevinovat, fără pată, despărţit de păcătoşi şi înălţat mai presus de ceruri,

For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

akinek nincs szüksége arra, mint a főpapoknak, hogy napról napra előbb a saját bűneiért vigyen áldozatot, azután a nép bűnéért, mert ezt egyszer megcselekedte, amikor önmagát feláldozta.

A kinek nincs szüksége, mint a főpapoknak, hogy napról-napra előbb a saját bűneiért vigyen áldozatot, azután a népéiért, mert ezt egyszer megcselekedte, maga-magát megáldozván.

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

care n-are nevoie, ca ceilalţi mari preoţi, să aducă jertfe în fiecare zi, întâi pentru păcatele sale, şi apoi pentru păcatele norodului, căci lucrul acesta l-a făcut o dată pentru totdeauna, când S-a adus jertfă pe Sine însuşi.

He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself.

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

În adevăr, Legea pune mari preoţi pe nişte oameni supuşi slăbiciunii; dar cuvântul jurământului, făcut după ce a fost dată Legea, pune pe Fiul, care este desăvârşit pentru veşnicie.

For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.
