Ez a nevük Izráel fiainak, akik Jákóbbal Egyiptomba mentek. Mindegyik a háza népével ment:

Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.

Iată numele fiilor lui Israel, intraţi în Egipt; au intrat cu Iacov fiecare cu familia lui:

These are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob, each with his household:

Összesen hetven lélek volt, akik Jákóbtól származtak. József pedig már Egyiptomban volt.

Mindazok a lelkek pedig, a kik Jákób ágyékából származtak vala, hetvenen valának. József pedig Égyiptomban vala.

And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.

Sufletele ieşite din coapsele lui Iacov erau şaptezeci de toate. Iosif era atunci în Egipt.

All the descendants of Jacob were seventy persons; Joseph was already in Egypt.

Azután meghalt József és minden testvére és az az egész nemzedék.

És meghala József és minden ő atyjafia és az az egész nemzedék.

And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.

Iosif a murit, şi toţi fraţii lui, şi toată vârsta aceea de oameni.

Then Joseph died, and all his brothers and all that generation.

Izráel fiai pedig szaporák voltak, szaporodtak és sokasodtak, és nagyon hatalmassá lettek, úgy, hogy megtelt velük az ország.

Izráel fiai pedig szaporák valának, szaporodának és sokasodának és igen-igen elhatalmazának, úgy hogy megtelék velök az ország.

And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

Fiii lui Israel s-au înmulţit, s-au mărit, au crescut şi au ajuns foarte puternici. Şi s-a umplut ţara de ei.

But the people of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly; they multiplied and grew exceedingly strong, so that the land was filled with them.

Eközben új király támadt Egyiptomban, aki nem ismerte Józsefet.

Azonközben új király támada Égyiptomban, a ki Józsefet nem ismerte vala.

Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.

Peste Egipt s-a ridicat un nou împărat care nu cunoscuse pe Iosif.

Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.

Így szólt a népéhez: Íme, az Izráel fiainak népe nagyobb és hatalmasabb nálunk.

És monda az ő népének: Ímé az Izráel fiainak népe több, és hatalmasabb nálunknál.

And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:

El a zis poporului său: „Iată că poporul copiilor lui Israel este mai mare şi mai puternic decât noi.

And he said to his people, “Behold, the people of Israel are too many and too mighty for us.

Rajta, bánjunk okosan vele, hogy meg ne sokasodjék, és nehogy az legyen, hogy ha háború támad, ő is ellenségünkhöz csatlakozzon, és ellenünk harcoljon, és az országból kivonuljon.

Nosza bánjunk okosan vele, hogy el ne sokasodjék és az ne legyen, hogy ha háború támad, ő is ellenségünkhöz adja magát és ellenünk harczoljon és az országból kimenjen.

Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.

Veniţi să ne arătăm dibaci faţă de el, ca să nu crească, pentru ca nu cumva, dacă se va întâmpla un război, să se unească şi el cu vrăjmaşii noştri, să ne bată şi să iasă apoi din ţară.”

Come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and, if war breaks out, they join our enemies and fight against us and escape from the land.”

Ezért hajcsárokat rendeltek föléjük, hogy nehéz munkával sanyargassák őket. Gabonatároló városokat építettek a fáraónak, Pitómot és Ramszeszt.

Rendelének azért föléjök robotmestereket, hogy nehéz munkákkal sanyargassák őket. És építe a Faraónak gabonatartó városokat, Pithomot és Ramszeszt.

Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

Şi au pus peste ei isprăvnicei, ca să-i asuprească prin munci grele. Astfel a zidit el cetăţile Pitom şi Ramses, ca să slujească de hambare lui faraon.

Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with heavy burdens. They built for Pharaoh store cities, Pithom and Raamses.

De minél inkább sanyargatták őket, annál inkább sokasodtak, és annál inkább terjeszkedtek; ezért féltek Izráel fiaitól.

De minél inkább sanyargatják vala őt, annál inkább sokasodik és annál inkább terjeszkedik vala, s félnek vala az Izráel fiaitól.

But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.

Dar cu cât îl asupreau mai mult, cu atât se înmulţea şi creştea; şi s-au scârbit de copiii lui Israel.

But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And the Egyptians were in dread of the people of Israel.

Pedig kegyetlenül dolgoztatták az egyiptomiak Izráel fiait.

Pedig kegyetlenűl dolgoztaták az égyiptomiak az Izráel fiait.

And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:

Atunci egiptenii au adus pe copiii lui Israel la o aspră robie.

So they ruthlessly made the people of Israel work as slaves

Kemény munkával keserítették életüket: sárcsinálással, vályogvetéssel és mindenféle mezei munkával. Sokféle munkával kegyetlenül sanyargatták őket.

És kemény munkával keseríték életöket, sárcsinálással, téglavetéssel és mindenféle mezei munkával, minden munkájokkal, melyeket kegyetlenűl dolgoztatnak vala velök.

And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

Le-au făcut viaţa amară prin lucrări grele de lut şi cărămizi şi prin tot felul de lucrări de pe câmp, şi în toate muncile acestea, pe care-i sileau să le facă, erau fără niciun pic de milă.

and made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and brick, and in all kinds of work in the field. In all their work they ruthlessly made them work as slaves.

Ezután azt mondta Egyiptom királya a héber bábáknak, akik közül az egyiknek Sifrá, a másiknak Púá volt a neve:

És szóla Égyiptom királya a héber bábáknak, a kik közűl egyiknek Sifra, a másiknak Puá vala neve.

And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:

Împăratul Egiptului a poruncit moaşelor evreilor, numite una Şifra, şi cealaltă Pua,

Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah,

Amikor héber asszonyok szülése körül segédkeztek, nézzetek a szülőszékre: ha fiú az, öljétek meg, ha pedig leány, hadd éljen.

És monda: Mikoron héber asszonyok körűl bábálkodtok, nézzetek a szűlőszékre: ha fiú az, azt öljétek meg, ha pedig leány az, hadd éljen.

And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

şi le-a zis: „Când veţi împlini slujba de moaşe pe lângă femeile evreilor şi le veţi vedea pe scaunul de naştere, dacă este băiat, să-l omorâţi; iar dacă este fată, s-o lăsaţi să trăiască.”

“When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women and see them on the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, she shall live.”

De a bábák félték Istent, és nem cselekedtek úgy, ahogy Egyiptom királya parancsolta nekik, hanem életben hagyták a gyermekeket.

De a bábák félék az Istent és nem cselekedének úgy a mint Égyiptom királya parancsolta vala nékik, hanem életben hagyják vala a gyermekeket.

But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.

Dar moaşele s-au temut de Dumnezeu şi n-au făcut ce le poruncise împăratul Egiptului: ci au lăsat pe copiii de parte bărbătească să trăiască.

But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live.

Ezért Egyiptom királya magához hívatta a bábákat, és azt mondta nekik: Miért tettétek azt, hogy életben hagytátok a gyermekeket?

Hívatá annakokáért Égyiptom királya a bábákat és monda nékik: Miért míveltétek azt, hogy életben hagytátok a gyermekeket?

And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?

Împăratul Egiptului a chemat pe moaşe şi le-a zis: „Pentru ce aţi făcut lucrul acesta şi aţi lăsat pe copiii de parte bărbătească să trăiască?”

So the king of Egypt called the midwives and said to them, “Why have you done this, and let the male children live?”

A bábák pedig így feleltek a fáraónak: Mert a héber asszonyok nem olyanok, mint az egyiptomiak, hanem életerősek. Mire a bába eljut hozzájuk, már szülnek.

A bábák pedig mondának a Faraónak: Mert a héber asszonyok nem olyanok, mint az Égyiptombeliek: mert azok élet-erősek; minekelőtte a bába hozzájok eljutna, már szűlnek.

And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.

Moaşele au răspuns lui faraon: „Pentru că femeile evreilor nu sunt ca egiptencele; ele sunt vânjoase şi nasc înainte de venirea moaşei.”

The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women, for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them.”

Ezért Isten jót tett a bábákkal, a nép pedig sokasodott, és igen hatalmassá lett.

Annakokáért jól tőn Isten a bábákkal, a nép pedig sokasodék és igen elhatalmazék.

Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.

Dumnezeu a făcut bine moaşelor; şi poporul s-a înmulţit şi a ajuns foarte mare la număr.

So God dealt well with the midwives. And the people multiplied and grew very strong.

És mivel a bábák félték Istent, megszaporította háza népüket.

És lőn, hogy mivel a bábák félék az Istent: megépíté az ő házukat.

And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.

Pentru că moaşele se temuseră de Dumnezeu, Dumnezeu le-a făcut case.

And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.

Ekkor a fáraó megparancsolta egész népének: Minden újszülött fiút vessetek a folyóba, csak a leányokat hagyjátok életben!

Parancsola azért a Faraó minden ő népének, mondván: Minden fiút, a ki születik, vessetek a folyóvízbe, a leányt pedig hagyjátok mind életben.

And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

Atunci faraon a dat următoarea poruncă la tot poporul lui: „Să aruncaţi în râu pe orice băiat care se va naşte şi să lăsaţi pe toate fetele să trăiască.”

Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, “Every son that is born to the Hebrews you shall cast into the Nile, but you shall let every daughter live.”
