Now these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them.

Ha héber szolgát vásárolsz, hat évig szolgáljon, a hetedikben szabaduljon fel ingyen.

If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

Dacă vei cumpăra un rob evreu, să slujească şase ani ca rob; dar în al şaptelea să iasă slobod, fără să plătească nimic ca despăgubire.

When you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve six years, and in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing.

Ha egyedül jött, egyedül menjen el. Ha nős ember, menjen el vele a felesége is.

Ha egyedűl jött, egyedűl menjen el; ha feleséges ember, menjen el vele a felesége is.

If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.

Dacă a intrat singur, să iasă singur; dacă era însurat, să iasă şi nevasta sa împreună cu el.

If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him.

Ha az ura adott neki feleséget, és az fiakat vagy lányokat szült neki, az asszony gyermekeivel együtt maradjon az ő uráé, a férje pedig egyedül menjen el.

Ha az ő ura adott néki feleséget, és [ez] fiakat vagy leányokat szűlt néki: az asszony, gyermekeivel együtt legyen az ő uráé; ő pedig egyedűl menjen el.

If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself.

Dacă stăpânul lui i-a dat o nevastă, şi a avut fii şi fiice cu ea, nevasta şi copiii să fie ai stăpânului lui, iar el să iasă singur.

If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out alone.

De ha a szolga azt mondaná: „Szeretem az uramat, a feleségemet és a fiaimat, nem akarok felszabadulni”,

De ha a szolga azt mondaná: Szeretem az én uramat, az én feleségemet és fiaimat, nem akarok felszabadulni:

And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:

Dacă robul va zice: „Eu iubesc pe stăpânul meu, pe nevasta mea şi copiii mei, şi nu vreau să ies slobod”,

But if the slave plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’

akkor vigye őt az ura a bírák elé, és állítsa az ajtóhoz vagy az ajtófélfához, és az ura fúrja át a fülét árral. És legyen örökké szolgája annak.

Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.

then his master shall bring him to God, and he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall bore his ear through with an awl, and he shall be his slave forever.

Ha valaki a lányát adja el szolgálónak, az ne úgy menjen el, ahogy a szolgák szoktak.

És ha valaki az ő leányát szolgálóul adja el, ne úgy menjen el, mint a szolgák mennek.

And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.

Dacă un om îşi va vinde fata ca roabă, ea să nu iasă cum ies robii.

“When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do.

Ha az urának nem tetszik, hogy eljegyezze őt magának, akkor engedje meg, hogy kiváltsák. De arra nincs joga, hogy idegen népnek eladja, mert akkor hűtlenül bánik vele.

Ha nem tetszik az ő urának, hogy eljegyezze őt magának, akkor váltassa ki; arra, hogy idegen népnek eladja, nincs hatalma, mivel hűtelen volt hozzá.

If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.

Dacă nu va plăcea stăpânului ei, care o luase de nevastă, el să-i înlesnească răscumpărarea; dar nu va avea dreptul s-o vândă unor străini, dacă nu-şi va ţine cuvântul.

If she does not please her master, who has designated her for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has broken faith with her.

And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.

Dacă o dă de nevastă fiului său, să se poarte cu ea după dreptul fiicelor.

If he designates her for his son, he shall deal with her as with a daughter.

Ha még egy másikat is vesz neki, ennek ételét, ruházatát és házasságbeli jogát ne csorbítsa.

Ha mást vesz magának: [ennek] ételét, ruházatát és házasságbeli igazát alább ne szállítsa.

If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.

Dacă-i va lua o altă nevastă, nu va scădea nimic pentru cea dintâi din hrană, din îmbrăcăminte şi din dreptul ei de soţie.

If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights.

Ha ezt a hármat nem cselekszi vele, akkor menjen el ingyen, fizetés nélkül.

And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.

Dacă nu-i face aceste trei lucruri, ea va putea ieşi, fără nicio despăgubire, fără să dea bani.

And if he does not do these three things for her, she shall go out for nothing, without payment of money.

He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.

Cine va lovi pe altul cu o lovitură de moarte să fie pedepsit cu moartea.

“Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death.

De ha nem leselkedett utána, hanem Isten ejtette a kezébe, akkor rendelek neked egy helyet, ahova menekülhet.

De ha nem leselkedett, hanem Isten ejtette kezébe: úgy helyet rendelek néked, a hova meneküljön.

And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.

Dacă nu i-a întins laţuri şi dacă Dumnezeu l-a făcut să-i cadă în mână, îţi voi hotărî un loc unde va putea să fugă.

But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God let him fall into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place to which he may flee.

Ha pedig valaki szándékosan tör a felebarátja ellen, hogy orvul megölje, az oltáromtól is vidd el azt a halálra.

Ha pedig valaki szándékosan tör felebarátja ellen, hogy azt orvúl megölje, oltáromtól is elvidd azt a halálra.

But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.

Dar dacă lucrează cineva cu răutate împotriva aproapelui său, folosindu-se de viclenie ca să-l omoare, chiar şi de la altarul Meu să-l smulgi, ca să fie omorât.

But if a man willfully attacks another to kill him by cunning, you shall take him from my altar, that he may die.

Aki megveri atyját vagy anyját, halállal lakoljon.

A ki megveri az ő atyját vagy anyját, halállal lakoljon.

And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.

Cine va lovi pe tatăl său sau pe mama sa să fie pedepsit cu moartea.

“Whoever strikes his father or his mother shall be put to death.

Aki embert lop, és eladja azt, vagy nála találják, halállal lakoljon.

A ki embert lop, és eladja azt, vagy kezében kapják, halállal lakoljon.

And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.

Cine va fura un om şi-l va vinde sau îl va ţine în mâinile lui să fie pedepsit cu moartea.

“Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death.

Aki szidalmazza atyját vagy anyját, halállal lakoljon.

A ki szidalmazza az ő atyját vagy anyját, halállal lakoljon.

And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

Cine va blestema pe tatăl său sau pe mama sa, să fie pedepsit cu moartea.

“Whoever curses his father or his mother shall be put to death.

Ha férfiak összevesznek, és megüti valaki a felebarátját kővel vagy az öklével, és nem hal meg, hanem ágynak esik,

És ha férfiak összevesznek, és megüti valaki az ő felebarátját kővel vagy öklével, és nem hal meg, hanem ágyba esik:

And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed:

Dacă se vor certa doi oameni, şi unul din ei va lovi pe celălalt cu o piatră sau cu pumnul, fără să-i pricinuiască moartea, dar silindu-l să stea în pat,

“When men quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist and the man does not die but takes to his bed,

ha fölkel, és mankóján kinn jár, maradjon büntetlen, aki megütötte. Csupán fekvéséért fizessen, és gyógyíttassa meg.

Ha felkél, és mankóján kinn jár: ne legyen büntetve az, a ki megütötte; csupán fekvéséért fizessen és gyógyíttassa meg.

If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.

cel ce l-a lovit să nu fie pedepsit, dacă celălalt se va scula şi se va plimba afară, sprijinit pe un toiag. Numai să-l despăgubească pentru încetarea lucrului lui şi să-l îngrijească până la vindecare.

then if the man rises again and walks outdoors with his staff, he who struck him shall be clear; only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall have him thoroughly healed.

Ha pedig valaki úgy üti meg a szolgáját vagy szolgálóját bottal, hogy meghal a keze alatt, büntessék meg.

Ha pedig valaki úgy üti meg szolgáját vagy szolgálóját bottal, hogy az meghal keze alatt, büntettessék meg.

And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.

Dacă un om va lovi cu băţul pe robul său, fie bărbat, fie femeie, şi robul moare sub mâna lui, stăpânul să fie pedepsit.

“When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged.

De ha egy vagy két napig életben marad, ne büntessék meg az urát, mivel pénzen vette.

De ha egy vagy két nap életben marad, ne büntettessék meg, mert pénze [ára] az.

Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.

Dar dacă mai trăieşte o zi sau două, stăpânul să nu fie pedepsit; căci este argintul lui.

But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money.

Ha férfiak veszekednek, és meglöknek egy várandós asszonyt úgy, hogy idő előtt szül, de egyéb veszedelem nem történik, bírságot kell fizetni aszerint, ahogy az asszony férje azt követeli, de bírák előtt kell fizetni.

Ha férfiak veszekednek és meglöknek valamely terhes asszonyt, úgy hogy idő előtt szűl, de [egyéb] veszedelem nem történik: bírságot fizessen a szerint, a mint az asszony férje azt reá kiveti, de bírák előtt fizessen.

If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

Dacă se ceartă doi oameni şi lovesc pe o femeie însărcinată şi o fac doar să nască înainte de vreme, fără altă nenorocire, să fie pedepsiţi cu o gloabă, pusă de bărbatul femeii, şi pe care o vor plăti după hotărârea judecătorilor.

“When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman’s husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine.

Ám ha halálos a szerencsétlenség, akkor életet kell adni az életért.

De ha veszedelem történik: akkor életért életet adj.

And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,

Dar dacă se întâmplă o nenorocire, vei da viaţă pentru viaţă,

But if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life,

Szemet szemért, fogat fogért, kezet kézért, lábat lábért.

Szemet szemért, fogat fogért, kezet kézért, lábat lábért;

Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

ochi pentru ochi, dinte pentru dinte, mână pentru mână, picior pentru picior,

Égetést égetésért, sebet sebért, kék foltot kék foltért.

Égetést égetésért, sebet sebért, kéket kékért.

Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

arsură pentru arsură, rană pentru rană, vânătaie pentru vânătaie.

burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

Ha valaki a szolgájának vagy szolgálójának a szemét úgy megüti, hogy megvakul, bocsássa azt szabadon a szeméért.

Ha valaki az ő szolgájának szemét, vagy szolgálójának szemét úgy üti meg, hogy elpusztul, bocsássa azt szabadon az ő szeméért.

And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.

Dacă un om loveşte ochiul robului său, fie bărbat, fie femeie, şi-l face să-şi piardă ochiul, să-i dea drumul, ca despăgubire pentru ochiul lui.

“When a man strikes the eye of his slave, male or female, and destroys it, he shall let the slave go free because of his eye.

Ha pedig a szolgájának vagy a szolgálójának a fogát üti ki, bocsássa szabadon a fogáért.

Ha pedig szolgájának fogát, vagy szolgálójának fogát üti ki, bocsássa azt szabadon az ő fogáért.

And if he smite out his manservant's tooth, or his maidservant's tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth's sake.

Şi dacă face să cadă un dinte robului său, fie bărbat, fie femeie, ca despăgubire pentru dintele lui, să-i dea drumul.

If he knocks out the tooth of his slave, male or female, he shall let the slave go free because of his tooth.

Ha férfit vagy asszonyt öklel meg egy ökör úgy, hogy meghal, kővel kövezzék meg azt az ökröt, és húsát ne egyék meg. De az ökör ura ártatlan.

Ha férfit vagy asszonyt öklel meg egy ökör, úgy hogy meghal: kővel köveztessék meg az ökör, és húsát meg ne egyék; de az ökörnek ura ártatlan.

If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit.

Dacă un bou va împunge şi va omorî pe un bărbat sau pe o femeie, boul să fie ucis cu pietre, carnea să nu i se mănânce, iar stăpânul boului să nu fie pedepsit.

“When an ox gores a man or a woman to death, the ox shall be stoned, and its flesh shall not be eaten, but the owner of the ox shall not be liable.

Ám ha az ökör azelőtt is öklelős volt, és annak urát megintették, és mégsem vigyázott rá, s az férfit vagy asszonyt ölt meg, az ökröt kövezzék meg, és az ura is halállal lakoljon.

De ha az ökör azelőtt is öklelős volt, és annak urát megintették, és még sem őrizte azt, és férfit vagy asszonyt ölt meg: az ökör köveztessék meg, és az ura is halállal lakoljon.

But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.

Dar dacă boul avea obicei mai înainte să împungă, şi stăpânul fusese înştiinţat de lucrul acesta, şi nu l-a închis, boul să fie ucis cu pietre, dacă va ucide un bărbat sau o femeie, şi stăpânul lui să fie pedepsit cu moartea.

But if the ox has been accustomed to gore in the past, and its owner has been warned but has not kept it in, and it kills a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned, and its owner also shall be put to death.

Ha váltságdíjat vetnek ki rá, fizessen lelke váltságáért annyit, amennyit kivetnek rá.

Ha pénzváltságot vetnek reá, fizessen lelke váltságáért annyit, a mennyit reá kivetnek.

If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him.

Dacă i se pune stăpânului un preţ pentru răscumpărarea vieţii lui, va plăti tot ce i se va cere.

If a ransom is imposed on him, then he shall give for the redemption of his life whatever is imposed on him.

Akár fiút öklel meg, akár leányt, e rendelet szerint kell cselekedni.

Akár fiút ökleljen meg, akár leányt ökleljen meg: e szerint a rendelet szerint kell cselekedni.

Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him.

Când boul va împunge pe un băiat sau pe o fată, i se va face după legea aceasta;

If it gores a man’s son or daughter, he shall be dealt with according to this same rule.

Ha szolgát öklel meg az ökör vagy szolgálót, akkor adjanak urának harminc ezüstsékelt, de az ökröt kövezzék meg.

Ha szolgát öklel meg az ökör vagy szolgálót: adassék azok urának harmincz ezüst siklus, az ökör pedig köveztessék meg.

If the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.

dar dacă boul împunge pe un rob, fie bărbat, fie femeie, să se dea trei sicli de argint stăpânului robului, şi boul să fie ucis cu pietre.

If the ox gores a slave, male or female, the owner shall give to their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.

Ha pedig valaki vermet nyit meg, vagy ha valaki vermet ás, és nem fedi be, és ökör vagy szamár esik bele,

Ha pedig valaki vermet nyit meg, vagy ha valaki vermet ás, és nem fedi azt be, és ökör vagy szamár esik bele:

And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein;

Dacă un om descoperă o groapă, sau dacă un om sapă o groapă şi n-o acoperă, şi cade în ea un bou sau un măgar,

“When a man opens a pit, or when a man digs a pit and does not cover it, and an ox or a donkey falls into it,

akkor a verem ura fizessen. Pénzben fizessen a gazdájuknak, és a tetem az övé legyen.

A verem ura fizessen; pénzül térítse meg azok urának, a hulla pedig legyen az övé.

The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.

stăpânul gropii să plătească stăpânului lor preţul vitei în argint, iar vita moartă să fie a lui.

the owner of the pit shall make restoration. He shall give money to its owner, and the dead beast shall be his.

Ha valakinek az ökre megdöfi az ő embertársa ökrét úgy, hogy az elpusztul, adják el az élő ökröt, és az árát osszák meg, és a tetemet is osszák el.

És ha valakinek ökre megdöfi az ő felebarátja ökrét, úgy hogy az elpusztul: adják el az eleven ökröt, és az árát osszák meg, és a hullát is osszák el.

And if one man's ox hurt another's, that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide.

Dacă boul unui om împunge boul unui alt om, şi boul acesta moare, vor vinde boul cel viu şi preţul lui îl vor împărţi; vor împărţi şi boul mort.

“When one man’s ox butts another’s, so that it dies, then they shall sell the live ox and share its price, and the dead beast also they shall share.

De ha tudták, hogy az ökör már azelőtt is öklelős volt, és nem vigyázott rá az ura, akkor fizessen ökröt az ökörért, a tetem pedig legyen az övé.

Vagy ha tudták, hogy az ökör már azelőtt öklelős volt, és nem őrizte azt annak ura: fizessen ökröt az ökörért, a hulla pedig az övé legyen.

Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.

Dar dacă se ştia că boul avea obicei mai înainte să împungă, şi stăpânul lui nu l-a închis, stăpânul acesta să dea bou pentru bou, iar boul cel mort să-l ia el.

Or if it is known that the ox has been accustomed to gore in the past, and its owner has not kept it in, he shall repay ox for ox, and the dead beast shall be his.
