Amikor látta a nép, hogy Mózes késik lejönni a hegyről, egybegyűlt Áron ellen, és azt mondta neki: Jöjj, csinálj nekünk isteneket, akik előttünk járjanak, mert nem tudjuk, mi történt Mózessel, azzal a férfival, aki Egyiptom földjéről kihozott minket.

Mikor látá a nép, hogy Mózes késik a hegyről leszállani, egybegyűle a nép Áron ellen és mondá néki: Kelj fel, csinálj nékünk isteneket, kik előttünk járjanak; mert nem tudjuk mint lőn dolga ama férfiúnak Mózesnek, a ki minket Égyiptom földéből kihozott.

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

Poporul, văzând că Moise zăboveşte să se coboare de pe munte, s-a strâns în jurul lui Aaron şi i-a zis: „Haide! fă-ne un dumnezeu care să meargă înaintea noastră; căci Moise, omul acela care ne-a scos din ţara Egiptului, nu ştim ce s-a făcut.”

When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, “Up, make us gods who shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”

Áron azt mondta nekik: Szedjétek ki az aranyfüggőket, amelyek feleségeitek, fiaitok és leányaitok fülében vannak, és hozzátok hozzám.

And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

So Aaron said to them, “Take off the rings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.”

And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron.

And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

El i-a luat din mâinile lor, a bătut aurul cu dalta şi a făcut un viţel turnat. Şi ei au zis: „Israele! iată dumnezeul tău care te-a scos din ţara Egiptului.”

And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!”

And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.

When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to the LORD.”

Másnap korán reggel fölkeltek, és égőáldozatot és békeáldozatot mutattak be. Azután leült a nép enni és inni, és fölkeltek játszani.

And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

And they rose up early the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.

Az ÚR pedig így szólt Mózeshez: Indulj, menj le, mert megromlott a néped, amelyet kihoztál Egyiptom földjéről!

Szóla pedig az Úr Mózesnek: Eredj menj alá; mert megromlott a te néped, a melyet kihoztál Égyiptom földéből.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:

Domnul a zis lui Moise: „Scoală şi coboară-te; căci poporul tău, pe care l-ai scos din ţara Egiptului, s-a stricat.

And the LORD said to Moses, “Go down, for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves.

Hamar letértek az útról, amelyet parancsoltam nekik. Borjúképet öntöttek maguknak, azt tisztelik, annak áldoznak, és azt mondják: ez a te istened, Izráel, aki kihozott téged Egyiptom földjéről.

They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

They have turned aside quickly out of the way that I commanded them. They have made for themselves a golden calf and have worshiped it and sacrificed to it and said, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!’”

Majd azt mondta az ÚR Mózesnek: Látom ezt a népet, bizony keménnyakú nép.

And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

Domnul a zis lui Moise: „Văd că poporul acesta este un popor încăpăţânat.

And the LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and behold, it is a stiff-necked people.

Azért hagyj békét nekem, hadd gerjedjen föl a haragom ellenük, és hadd töröljem el őket! Téged azonban nagy néppé teszlek.

Azért hagyj békét nékem, hadd gerjedjen fel haragom ellenök, és törűljem el őket: Téged azonban nagy néppé teszlek.

Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

Acum, lasă-Mă; mânia Mea are să se aprindă împotriva lor: şi-i voi mistui; dar pe tine te voi face strămoşul unui neam mare.”

Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them, in order that I may make a great nation of you.”

De Mózes így esedezett Istenéhez, az ÚRhoz: Miért gerjedne föl, URam, a te haragod a néped ellen, amelyet nagy erővel és hatalmas kézzel hoztál ki Egyiptom földjéről?

De Mózes esedezék az Úrnak, az ő Istenének színe előtt, mondván: Miért gerjedne Uram a te haragod néped ellen, a melyet nagy erővel és hatalmas kézzel hoztál vala ki Égyiptomnak földéről?

And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?

But Moses implored the LORD his God and said, “O LORD, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?

Miért mondanák azt az egyiptomiak: „Vesztükre vitte ki őket, hogy elveszítse a hegyek között, és eltörölje őket a föld színéről”? Múljék el haragod tüze, és vond vissza bosszúdat néped ellen!

Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

Why should the Egyptians say, ‘With evil intent did he bring them out, to kill them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from your burning anger and relent from this disaster against your people.

Emlékezzél meg Ábrahámról, Izsákról és Izráelről, szolgáidról, akiknek megesküdtél önmagadra e szavakkal: Úgy megsokasítom utódaitokat, mint az ég csillagait és azt az egész földet, amelyről szóltam, utódaitoknak adom, és örökségük lesz az örökre.

Emlékezzél meg Ábrahámról, Izsákról és Izráelről a te szolgáidról, kiknek megesküdtél te magadra, mondván nékik: Megsokasítom a ti magotokat mint az égnek csillagait; és azt az egész földet, melyről szóltam, a ti magotoknak adom, és örökségül bírják azt örökké.

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have promised I will give to your offspring, and they shall inherit it forever.’”

Erre megállította az ÚR azt a veszedelmet, amelyet a népére akart bocsátani.

And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

Şi Domnul S-a lăsat de răul pe care spusese că vrea să-l facă poporului Său.

And the LORD relented from the disaster that he had spoken of bringing on his people.

Azután Mózes megfordult, és elindult a hegyről, kezében a bizonyság két táblájával. Mindkét oldalán teleírt táblák voltak, elöl is, hátul is tele voltak írva.

Megfordula azért és megindula Mózes a hegyről, kezében a bizonyság két táblája; mindkét oldalukon beírt táblák, mind egy felől, mind más felől beírva.

And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.

Moise s-a întors şi s-a coborât de pe munte, cu cele două table ale mărturiei în mână. Tablele erau scrise pe amândouă părţile, pe o parte şi pe alta.

Then Moses turned and went down from the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand, tablets that were written on both sides; on the front and on the back they were written.

A táblákat Isten keze készítette, a táblákra vésett írás is Isten írása volt.

And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.

Józsué pedig hallva a nép rivalgását, azt mondta Mózesnek: Harci kiáltás van a táborban.

And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp.

When Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “There is a noise of war in the camp.”

Ő pedig így felelt: Nem diadalmasok, sem legyőzöttek kiáltása ez, éneklés hangját hallom.

Az pedig felele: Nem diadalmasoknak, sem meggyőzetteknek kiáltása ez, éneklés hangját hallom én.

And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.

Moise a răspuns: „Strigătul aceasta nu-i nici strigăt de biruitori, nici strigăt de biruiţi; ce aud eu este glasul unor oameni care cântă!”

But he said, “It is not the sound of shouting for victory, or the sound of the cry of defeat, but the sound of singing that I hear.”

És amikor közeledett a táborhoz, látta a borjút és a táncolást, és fölgerjedt Mózes haragja, elhajította kezéből a táblákat, és összetörte a hegy alatt.

And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

And as soon as he came near the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, Moses’ anger burned hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.

And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

He took the calf that they had made and burned it with fire and ground it to powder and scattered it on the water and made the people of Israel drink it.

Majd azt mondta Áronnak: Mit tett veled ez a nép, hogy ilyen nagy bűnbe keverted?

És monda Mózes Áronnak: Mit tett néked e nép, hogy ilyen nagy bűnbe keverted?

And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?

Moise a zis lui Aaron: „Ce ţi-a făcut poporul acesta, de ai adus asupra lui un păcat atât de mare?”

And Moses said to Aaron, “What did this people do to you that you have brought such a great sin upon them?”

Áron így felelt: Ne gerjedjen föl uram haragja! Ismered e népet, hogy gonosz.

Felele Áron: Ne gerjedjen fel uram haragja: ismered e népet, hogy gonosz.

And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief.

Aaron a răspuns: „Să nu se aprindă de mânie domnul meu! Tu singur ştii că poporul acesta este pornit la rău.

And Aaron said, “Let not the anger of my lord burn hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

Azt mondták nekem: Készíts nekünk isteneket, hogy előttünk járjanak, mert nem tudjuk, hogy mi lett Mózessel, azzal a férfival, aki kihozott minket Egyiptom földjéről.

Mert [azt] mondák nékem: Csinálj nékünk isteneket, a kik előttünk járjanak; mert ama férfiúnak Mózesnek, ki minket Égyiptom földéről kihozott, nem tudjuk mint lőn dolga.

For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

Ei mi-au zis: „Fă-ne un dumnezeu care să meargă înaintea noastră; căci Moise, omul acela care ne-a scos din ţara Egiptului, nu ştim ce s-a făcut!”

For they said to me, ‘Make us gods who shall go before us. As for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’

Én azt feleltem: Kinek van aranya? Szedjétek le. Erre nekem adták, én pedig a tűzbe vetettem, és ez a borjú lett belőle.

Én pedig felelék: Kinek van aranya? Szedjétek le; és nékem ide adák, én pedig a tűzbe vetettem, és e borjú formáltaték.

And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.

Eu le-am zis: „Cine are aur, să-l scoată!” Şi mi l-au dat; l-am aruncat în foc, şi din el a ieşit viţelul acesta.”

So I said to them, ‘Let any who have gold take it off.’ So they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf.”

Amikor látta Mózes, hogy a nép megvadult, mert Áron megvadította őket ellenségeik csúfjára,

És látván Mózes, hogy a nép megvadula, mert Áron megvadítá vala őket, ellenségeik csúfjára.

And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)

Moise a văzut că poporul era fără frâu, căci Aaron îl făcuse să fie fără frâu, spre batjocura vrăjmaşilor săi;

And when Moses saw that the people had broken loose (for Aaron had let them break loose, to the derision of their enemies),

megállt a tábor kapujában, és azt mondta: Aki az ÚRé, jöjjön ide hozzám! És hozzá gyűlt Lévi valamennyi fia.

Megálla Mózes a tábor kapujában, és monda: A ki az Úré, ide hozzám! és gyűlének ő hozzá mind a Lévi fiai.

Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD's side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.

s-a aşezat la uşa taberei şi a zis: „Cine este pentru Domnul să vină la mine!” Şi toţi copiii lui Levi s-au strâns la el.

then Moses stood in the gate of the camp and said, “Who is on the LORD’s side? Come to me.” And all the sons of Levi gathered around him.

Ezt mondta nekik: Azt mondja az ÚR, Izráel Istene: Kössön mindegyikőtök kardot az oldalára, menjetek át a táboron és jöjjetek vissza, egyik kaputól a másik kapuig, és ki-ki ölje meg a testvérét, barátját és rokonát!

És szóla nékik: Ezt mondja az Úr, Izráel Istene: Kössön mindenitek kardot az oldalára, menjetek által és vissza a táboron, egyik kaputól a másik kapuig, és kiki ölje meg az ő attyafiát, barátját és rokonságát.

And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.

El le-a zis: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel: „Fiecare din voi să se încingă cu sabia; mergeţi şi străbateţi tabăra de la o poartă la alta, şi fiecare să omoare pe fratele, pe prietenul şi pe ruda sa.”

And he said to them, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel, ‘Put your sword on your side each of you, and go to and fro from gate to gate throughout the camp, and each of you kill his brother and his companion and his neighbor.’”

Lévi fiai pedig Mózes beszéde szerint cselekedtek, és azon a napon a népből mintegy háromezer férfi hullott el.

A Lévi fiai pedig a Mózes beszéde szerint cselekedének, és elhulla azon a napon a népből úgymint háromezer férfiú.

And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

Copiii lui Levi au făcut după porunca lui Moise; şi aproape trei mii de oameni au pierit în ziua aceea din popor.

And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And that day about three thousand men of the people fell.

Ezután azt mondta Mózes: Ma az ÚRnak szenteltétek kezeteket, ki-ki fiával és testvérével szemben, hogy áldása szálljon ma rátok.

És mondá Mózes: Ma szenteljétek kezeiteket az Úrnak, kiki az ő fia és attyafia ellen, hogy áldása szálljon ma reátok.

For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.

Moise a zis: „Predaţi-vă azi în slujba Domnului, chiar cu jertfa fiului şi fratelui vostru, pentru ca binecuvântarea Lui să vină astăzi peste voi!”

And Moses said, “Today you have been ordained for the service of the LORD, each one at the cost of his son and of his brother, so that he might bestow a blessing upon you this day.”

Mózes másnap azt mondta a népnek: Nagy bűnt követtetek el, most azért fölmegyek az ÚRhoz, talán kegyelmet nyerhetek bűneitekre.

És másnap monda Mózes a népnek: Nagy bűnt követtetek el, most azért felmegyek az Úrhoz, talán kegyelmet nyerhetek a ti bűneiteknek.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.

A doua zi, Moise a zis poporului: „Aţi făcut un păcat foarte mare. Am să mă sui acum la Domnul: poate că voi căpăta iertare pentru păcatul vostru.”

The next day Moses said to the people, “You have sinned a great sin. And now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”

Visszatért tehát Mózes az ÚRhoz, és azt mondta: Ó, jaj, ez a nép nagy bűnt követett el! Aranyból csinált magának isteneket.

Megtére azért Mózes az Úrhoz, és monda: Kérlek! Ez a nép nagy bűnt követett el: mert aranyból csinált magának isteneket.

And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

Moise s-a întors la Domnul şi a zis: „Ah! poporul acesta a făcut un păcat foarte mare! Şi-au făcut un dumnezeu de aur.

So Moses returned to the LORD and said, “Alas, this people has sinned a great sin. They have made for themselves gods of gold.

De most bocsásd meg bűnüket! Ha pedig nem, törölj ki engem a könyvedből, amelyet írtál.

De most bocsásd meg bűnöket; ha pedig nem: törölj ki engem a te könyvedből, a melyet írtál.

Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.

Iartă-le acum păcatul! Dacă nu, atunci, şterge-mă din cartea Ta, pe care ai scris-o!”

But now, if you will forgive their sin—but if not, please blot me out of your book that you have written.”

Az ÚR így felelt Mózesnek: Aki vétkezett ellenem, azt törlöm ki a könyvemből.

És monda az Úr Mózesnek: A ki vétkezett ellenem, azt törlöm ki az én könyvemből.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Most azért menj, vezesd a népet, ahova mondtam neked, íme, az én angyalom előtted megy. De látogatásom napján ezt a bűnüket is számon kérem.

Most azért eredj: vezesd a népet a hová mondottam néked: Ímé, Angyalom megy előtted; és az én látogatásom napján ezt az ő bűnöket is meglátogatom.

Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.
