Ha valaki ökröt vagy bárányt lop, és levágja vagy eladja, öt marhát fizessen egy ökörért, és négy juhot egy bárányért.

Ha a tolvajt betörésen kapják, és úgy megverik, hogy meghal, nem számít vérontásnak.

Ha ház-fölverésen kapják a tolvajt, és [úgy] megverik, hogy meghal, nincs vérbűn miatta.

If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.

Dacă hoţul este prins spărgând şi e lovit, şi moare, cel ce l-a lovit nu va fi vinovat de omor faţă de el;

If a thief is found breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him,

De ha ez napvilágnál történik, vérontásnak számít. A tolvaj fizessen. Ha nincs neki, adják el őt tolvajságáért.

Ha reá sütött a nap, vérbűn van miatta: fizessen; ha nincs néki: adassék el tolvajságáért.

If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

dar dacă a răsărit soarele, va fi vinovat de omor faţă de el. Hoţul trebuie să dea înapoi ce este dator să dea; dacă n-are nimic, să fie vândut rob, ca despăgubire pentru furtul lui;

but if the sun has risen on him, there shall be bloodguilt for him. He shall surely pay. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

Ha élve találják meg nála a lopott jószágot – akár ökör, akár szamár, akár juh az –, kétszer annyit fizessen érte.

If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

If the stolen beast is found alive in his possession, whether it is an ox or a donkey or a sheep, he shall pay double.

Ha valaki mezőt vagy szőlőt legeltet le úgy, hogy állatát ráengedte, és az más mezején legelt, térítse meg a kárt mezejének javából és szőlőjének javából.

Ha valaki mezőt vagy szőlőt étet le, úgy hogy barmát elereszti, és az a más mezején legel: mezejének javából és szőlőjének javából fizesse meg a kárt.

If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.

Dacă cineva face stricăciune într-un ogor sau într-o vie şi îşi lasă vita să pască pe ogorul altuia, să dea ca despăgubire cel mai bun rod din ogorul şi via lui.

“If a man causes a field or vineyard to be grazed over, or lets his beast loose and it feeds in another man’s field, he shall make restitution from the best in his own field and in his own vineyard.

Ha tűz támad, és tövisbe kap, és megég az asztag, vagy a lábon álló gabona vagy a mező: térítse meg a kárt, aki a tüzet gyújtotta.

If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.

Dacă izbucneşte un foc şi întâlneşte mărăcini în cale şi arde grâul în snopi sau în picioare, sau câmpul, cel ce a pus foc să fie silit să dea o despăgubire deplină.

“If fire breaks out and catches in thorns so that the stacked grain or the standing grain or the field is consumed, he who started the fire shall make full restitution.

Ha valaki pénzt vagy edényeket ad át felebarátjának megőrzésre, és azokat ellopják annak az embernek a házából, és megtalálják a tolvajt, fizessen kétszer annyit.

Ha valaki pénzt vagy edényeket ád felebarátjának megőrzés végett, és ellopják annak a férfiúnak házából: ha megtalálják a tolvajt, fizessen kétannyit.

If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double.

Dacă un om dă altuia bani sau unelte spre păstrare şi le fură cineva din casa acestuia din urmă, hoţul trebuie să întoarcă îndoit, dacă va fi găsit.

“If a man gives to his neighbor money or goods to keep safe, and it is stolen from the man’s house, then, if the thief is found, he shall pay double.

Ha nem találják meg a tolvajt, a ház urát állítsák Isten elé, hogy nem nyúlt-e felebarátja vagyonához.

Ha nem találják meg a tolvajt, a ház urát vigyék a bírák eleibe: hogy nem nyújtotta-é ki kezét az ő felebarátja vagyonára.

If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour's goods.

Dacă hoţul nu se găseşte, stăpânul casei să se înfăţişeze înaintea lui Dumnezeu, ca să spună că n-a pus mâna pe avutul aproapelui său.

If the thief is not found, the owner of the house shall come near to God to show whether or not he has put his hand to his neighbor’s property.

Minden hűtlen kezelés dolgában, akár ökör, akár szamár, akár juh, akár ruha, akármi elveszett jószág az, amiről az egyik azt mondja, hogy az övé, mindkettőjük ügye Isten elé kerüljön, és akit Isten bűnösnek ítél, fizessen kétszer annyit felebarátjának.

Akármi bűn dolgában, akár ökör, akár szamár, akár juh, akár ruha, akármi elveszett jószág az, a miről azt mondja: ez az; mindkettőjük ügye a bírák eleibe menjen, és a kit a bírák bűnösnek mondanak, fizessen két annyit az ő felebarátjának.

For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.

În orice pricină de înşelăciune cu privire la un bou, un măgar, o oaie, o haină, sau un lucru pierdut, despre care se va zice: „Uite-l!” – pricina amânduror părţilor să meargă până la Dumnezeu; acela, pe care-l va osândi Dumnezeu, trebuie să întoarcă îndoit aproapelui său.

For every breach of trust, whether it is for an ox, for a donkey, for a sheep, for a cloak, or for any kind of lost thing, of which one says, ‘This is it,’ the case of both parties shall come before God. The one whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor.

If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it:

“If a man gives to his neighbor a donkey or an ox or a sheep or any beast to keep safe, and it dies or is injured or is driven away, without anyone seeing it,

az ÚRra tett esküvés döntsön kettejük közt, hogy nem nyújtotta-e ki kezét felebarátja vagyonára. Ezt fogadja el a jószág gazdája, és felebarátja semmit se fizessen.

Az Úrra való esküvés legyen kettejök közt, hogy nem nyújtotta-é ki kezét felebarátja vagyonára; és ezt fogadja el annak ura, és az semmit se fizessen.

Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.

să se facă un jurământ în Numele Domnului între cele două părţi; şi cel ce a păstrat dobitocul va mărturisi că n-a pus mâna pe avutul aproapelui său; stăpânul dobitocului va primi jurământul acesta, şi celălalt nu va fi dator să i-l înlocuiască.

an oath by the LORD shall be between them both to see whether or not he has put his hand to his neighbor’s property. The owner shall accept the oath, and he shall not make restitution.

Ha vadállat tépte szét, hozza el azt bizonyítékul. A széttépettet az esetben nem kell megfizetnie.

Ha széttépetett, hozza el azt bizonyságul; a széttépettet nem fizeti meg.

If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn.

Dacă dobitocul a fost sfâşiat de fiare sălbatice, îl va aduce ca dovadă şi nu va fi dator să-i înlocuiască dobitocul sfâşiat.

If it is torn by beasts, let him bring it as evidence. He shall not make restitution for what has been torn.

Ha pedig valaki a felebarátjától állatot kér kölcsön, és az megsérül vagy elhull urának távollétében, fizesse meg a kárt.

And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.

Dacă un om împrumută altuia o vită, şi vita îşi strică un mădular sau moare în lipsa stăpânului ei, va trebui s-o plătească.

“If a man borrows anything of his neighbor, and it is injured or dies, the owner not being with it, he shall make full restitution.

De ha a gazdája ott volt, nem fizet. Ha bérbe adta, a bérleti díj fedezi a kárt.

Ha ura vele van, nem fizet; ha bérbe adatott, bérébe megy.

But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.

Dacă stăpânul e de faţă, nu i-o va plăti. Dacă vita a fost dată cu chirie, preţul chiriei va fi de ajuns.

If the owner was with it, he shall not make restitution; if it was hired, it came for its hiring fee.

And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.

Dacă un om înşală pe o fată nelogodită şi se culcă cu ea, îi va plăti zestrea şi o va lua de nevastă.

“If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife.

Ha az apja nem akarja őt neki adni, annyi pénzt adjon, amennyi a hajadonok jegyajándéka.

If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

Dacă tatăl nu vrea să i-o dea, el va plăti în argint preţul zestrei cuvenite fetelor.

If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money equal to the bride-price for virgins.

He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

Cine aduce jertfe altor dumnezei decât Domnului singur să fie nimicit cu desăvârşire.

“Whoever sacrifices to any god, other than the LORD alone, shall be devoted to destruction.

Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

“You shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

Ha pénzt adsz kölcsön népemnek, a veled levő szegénynek, ne légy hozzá olyan, mint a hitelező. Ne vessetek ki rá uzsorát.

If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.

Dacă împrumuţi bani vreunuia din poporul Meu, săracului care este cu tine, să nu fii faţă de el ca un cămătar şi să nu ceri camătă de la el.

“If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be like a moneylender to him, and you shall not exact interest from him.

for that is his only covering, and it is his cloak for his body; in what else shall he sleep? And if he cries to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate.

Az Istent ne szidalmazd, és néped fejedelmét ne átkozd!

Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.

Să nu huleşti pe Dumnezeu şi să nu blestemi pe mai marele poporului tău.

“You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people.

Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.

“You shall not delay to offer from the fullness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to me.

Ugyanúgy tegyél ökröddel, juhoddal: hét napig legyen anyjával, a nyolcadik napon add nekem!

Hasonlóképen cselekedjél ökröddel, juhoddal; hét napig legyen az ő anyjával, a nyolczadik napon nékem add azt.

Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me.

Să-Mi dai şi întâiul născut al vacii tale şi al oii tale; să rămână şapte zile cu mama sa, iar în ziua a opta să Mi-l aduci.

You shall do the same with your oxen and with your sheep: seven days it shall be with its mother; on the eighth day you shall give it to me.

Legyetek szentek előttem. A mezőn széttépett húst ne egyétek meg, hanem az ebnek vessétek.

És szent emberek legyetek én előttem; a mezőn széttépett húst meg ne egyétek; az ebnek vessétek azt.

And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.

Să-Mi fiţi nişte oameni sfinţi. Să nu mâncaţi carne sfâşiată de fiare pe câmp, ci s-o aruncaţi la câini.

“You shall be consecrated to me. Therefore you shall not eat any flesh that is torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.
