Mi előnye van akkor a zsidónak, vagy milyen haszna van a körülmetélkedésnek?

Mi tekintetben különb hát a zsidó? vagy micsoda haszna van a körülmetélkedésnek?

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

Care este deci întâietatea iudeului sau care este folosul tăierii împrejur?

Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision?

Minden tekintetben sok. Mindenekelőtt az, hogy az Isten rájuk bízta az ő beszédeit.

Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

De mi van akkor, ha némelyek nem hittek? Vajon azok hitetlensége nem teszi-e hiábavalóvá Isten hűségét?

De hát hogy ha némelyek nem hittek? Vajjon azoknak hitetlensége nem teszi-é hiábavalóvá az Istennek hűségét?

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

Şi ce are a face dacă unii n-au crezut? Necredinţa lor va nimici ea credincioşia lui Dumnezeu?

What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?

Semmiképpen sem. Sőt inkább az Isten legyen igaz, minden ember pedig hazug, amint meg van írva: Igaznak bizonyulj beszédedben, és győzedelmes légy, amikor vádolnak téged.

Távol legyen. Sőt inkább az Isten legyen igaz, minden ember pedig hazug, a mint meg van írva: Hogy igaznak ítéltessél a te beszédeidben, és győzedelmes légy, mikor vádolnak téged.

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Nicidecum! Dimpotrivă, Dumnezeu să fie găsit adevărat, şi toţi oamenii să fie găsiţi mincinoşi, după cum este scris: „Ca să fii găsit neprihănit în cuvintele Tale şi să ieşi biruitor când vei fi judecat.”

By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.”

Ha pedig a mi igazságtalanságunk Isten igazságát mutatja meg, mit mondjunk? Vajon igazságtalan az Isten, ha kiönti ránk haragját? Emberi módon szólok.

Ha pedig a mi igazságtalanságunk az Istennek igazságát mutatja meg, mit mondjunk? Vajjon igazságtalan-é az Isten, hogy minket büntet? Emberi módon szólok.

But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

Dar, dacă nelegiuirea noastră pune în lumină neprihănirea lui Dumnezeu, ce vom zice? Nu cumva Dumnezeu este nedrept când Îşi dezlănţuie mânia? (Vorbesc în felul oamenilor.)

But if our unrighteousness serves to show the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unrighteous to inflict wrath on us? (I speak in a human way.)

Semmiképpen sem. Hiszen akkor hogyan ítélhetné meg Isten a világot?

Távol legyen! Mert akkor mi módon ítéli meg az Isten a világot?

God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

Nicidecum! Pentru că, altfel, cum va judeca Dumnezeu lumea?

By no means! For then how could God judge the world?

De ha Isten igazsága az én hazugságom által növekedett az ő dicsőségére, akkor miért ítélnek el engem továbbra is mint bűnöst?

Mert ha az Istennek igazsága az én hazugságom által öregbült az ő dicsőségére, miért kárhoztattatom még én is, mint bűnös?

For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

Şi dacă, prin minciuna mea, adevărul lui Dumnezeu străluceşte şi mai mult spre slava Lui, de ce mai sunt eu însumi judecat ca păcătos?

But if through my lie God’s truth abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?

Ne tegyük akkor inkább a rosszat, hogy abból jó származzék? – amivel minket rágalmaznak is, és egyesek mondogatják, hogy mi így beszélünk, ezért méltán sújt minket az ítélet.

Sőt inkább ne cselekedjük-é a rosszat, hogy [abból] jó származzék? - a mint minket rágalmaznak, és a mint némelyek mondogatják, hogy mi így beszélünk, a kiknek kárhoztatása igazságos.

And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Şi de ce să nu facem răul ca să vină bine din el, cum pretind unii, care ne vorbesc de rău, că spunem noi? Osânda acestor oameni este dreaptă.

And why not do evil that good may come?—as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just.

Akkor most mi a helyzet? Különbek vagyunk? Semmiképpen sem! Már korábban kimondtuk az ítéletet, hogy zsidók és görögök mindnyájan bűn alatt vannak,

Micsoda tehát? Különbek vagyunk-é? Semmiképen nem. Mert az elébb megmutattuk nyilván, hogy zsidók és görögök mindnyájan bűn alatt vannak;

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

Ce urmează atunci? Suntem noi mai buni decât ei? Nicidecum. Fiindcă am dovedit că toţi, fie iudei, fie greci, sunt sub păcat,

What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin,

amint meg van írva: Nincs egy igaz sem,

A mint meg van írva, hogy nincsen csak egy igaz is;

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

după cum este scris: „Nu este niciun om neprihănit, niciunul măcar.

as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;

nincs, aki megértse, nincs, aki keresse Istent.

Nincs, a ki megértse, nincs, a ki keresse az Istent.

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Nu este niciunul care să aibă pricepere. Nu este niciunul care să caute cu tot dinadinsul pe Dumnezeu.

no one understands; no one seeks for God.

Mindnyájan elhajlottak, valamennyien haszontalanokká lettek. Nincs, aki jót tegyen, nincs egyetlenegy sem.

Mindnyájan elhajlottak, egyetemben haszontalanokká lettek; nincs, a ki jót cselekedjék, nincsen csak egy is.

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Toţi s-au abătut şi au ajuns nişte netrebnici. Nu este niciunul care să facă binele, niciunul măcar.

All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”

Nyitott sír a torkuk, nyelvükkel álnokságot szólnak, áspiskígyó mérge van a nyelvük alatt.

Nyitott sír az ő torkuk; nyelvökkel álnokságot szólnak; áspis kígyó mérge van ajkaik alatt.

Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

Gâtlejul lor este un mormânt deschis; se slujesc de limbile lor ca să înşele; sub buze au venin de aspidă;

“Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.”

Szájuk telve átokkal és keserűséggel.

Szájok telve átkozódással és keserűséggel.

Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

gura le este plină de blestem şi de amărăciune;

“Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”

Lábuk gyors a vérontásra,

Lábaik gyorsak a vérontásra.

Their feet are swift to shed blood:

au picioarele grabnice să verse sânge;

“Their feet are swift to shed blood;

romlás és nyomorúság van útjaikon,

Útjaikon romlás és nyomorúság van.

Destruction and misery are in their ways:

prăpădul şi pustiirea sunt pe drumul lor;

in their paths are ruin and misery,

és a békesség útját nem ismerik.

És a békességnek útját nem ismerik.

And the way of peace have they not known:

nu cunosc calea păcii;

and the way of peace they have not known.”

Nincs istenfélelem a szemük előtt.

Nincs isteni félelem az ő szemök előtt.

There is no fear of God before their eyes.

frica de Dumnezeu nu este înaintea ochilor lor.”

“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

Tudjuk pedig, hogy amit a törvény mond, azoknak mondja, akik a törvény alatt vannak, hogy minden száj megnémuljon, és az egész világ Isten ítélete alá kerüljön.

Tudjuk pedig, hogy a mit a törvény mond, azoknak mondja, a kik a törvény alatt vannak; hogy minden száj bedugassék, és az egész világ Isten ítélete alá essék.

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Ştim însă că tot ce spune Legea, spune celor ce sunt sub Lege, pentru ca orice gură să fie astupată, şi toată lumea să fie găsită vinovată înaintea lui Dumnezeu.

Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.

Mert a törvény cselekedeteiből senki sem igazul meg előtte, hiszen a törvény csak a bűn felismeréséért van.

Annakokáért a törvénynek cselekedeteiből egy test sem igazul meg ő előtte: mert a bűn ismerete a törvény által vagyon.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Căci nimeni nu va fi socotit neprihănit înaintea Lui prin faptele Legii, deoarece prin Lege vine cunoştinţa deplină a păcatului.

For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

Most pedig a törvénytől függetlenül jelent meg Isten igazsága, amelyről bizonyságot tesznek a törvény és a próféták.

Most pedig törvény nélkül jelent meg az Istennek igazsága, a melyről tanúbizonyságot tesznek a törvény és a próféták;

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Dar acum s-a arătat o neprihănire pe care o dă Dumnezeu, fără lege – despre ea mărturisesc Legea şi Prorocii –

But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—

Istennek ez az igazsága pedig a Jézus Krisztusban való hit által lesz mindazoké, akik hisznek. Mert nincs különbség,

Istennek igazsága pedig a Jézus Krisztusban való hit által mindazokhoz és mindazoknak, a kik hisznek. Mert nincs különbség,

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

şi anume, neprihănirea dată de Dumnezeu, care vine prin credinţa în Isus Hristos, pentru toţi şi peste toţi cei ce cred în El. Nu este nicio deosebire.

the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction:

mindnyájan vétkeztek, és szűkölködnek Isten dicsősége nélkül,

Mert mindnyájan vétkeztek, és szűkölködnek az Isten dicsősége nélkül.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Căci toţi au păcătuit şi sunt lipsiţi de slava lui Dumnezeu.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

és az ő kegyelméből ingyen igazulnak meg a Krisztus Jézusban való váltság által.

Megigazulván ingyen az ő kegyelméből a Krisztus Jézusban való váltság által,

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Şi sunt socotiţi neprihăniţi, fără plată, prin harul Său, prin răscumpărarea care este în Hristos Isus.

and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Mert Isten őt rendelte engesztelő áldozatul az ő vérében való hit által, hogy megmutassa igazságát, mivel a korábban elkövetett bűnöket elnézte,

Kit az Isten eleve rendelt engesztelő áldozatul, hit által, az ő vérében, hogy megmutassa az ő igazságát az előbb elkövetett bűnöknek elnézése miatt,

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Pe El, Dumnezeu L-a rânduit mai dinainte să fie, prin credinţa în sângele Lui, o jertfă de ispăşire, ca să-Şi arate neprihănirea Lui; căci trecuse cu vederea păcatele dinainte, în vremea îndelungii răbdări a lui Dumnezeu;

whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

mert Isten hosszútűrő, és megjelentette igazságát a mostani időben, hogy igaz legyen ő, és megigazítsa azt, aki hisz Jézusban.

Az Isten hosszútűrésénél fogva, az ő igazságának megbizonyítására, a mostani időben, hogy igaz legyen Ő és megigazítsa azt, a ki a Jézus hitéből való.

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

pentru ca, în vremea de acum, să-Şi arate neprihănirea Lui în aşa fel, încât să fie neprihănit, şi totuşi să socotească neprihănit pe cel ce crede în Isus.

It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Hol van tehát a dicsekedés? Ki van zárva. Milyen törvény által? A cselekedeteké által? Nem, hanem a hit törvénye által.

Hol van tehát a dicsekedés? Kirekesztetett. Mely törvény által? A cselekedeteké által? Nem; hanem a hit törvénye által.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Unde este, dar, pricina de laudă? S-a dus. Prin ce fel de lege? A faptelor? Nu; ci prin legea credinţei.

Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith.

Azt tartjuk tehát, hogy az ember hit által igazul meg, a törvény cselekedeteitől függetlenül.

Azt tartjuk tehát, hogy az ember hit által igazul meg, a törvény cselekedetei nélkül.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Pentru că noi credem că omul este socotit neprihănit prin credinţă, fără faptele Legii.

For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

Avagy Isten egyedül a zsidóké? Nem a pogányoké is? Bizony a pogányoké is.

Avagy Isten csak a zsidóké-e? Avagy nem a pogányoké is? Bizony a pogányoké is.

Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

Sau, poate, Dumnezeu este numai Dumnezeul iudeilor? Nu este şi al Neamurilor? Da, este şi al Neamurilor;

Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,

Mert egy az Isten, aki megigazítja a körülmetéltet hitből és a körülmetéletlent hit által.

Mivelhogy egy az Isten, a ki megigazítja a zsidót hitből és a pogányt hit által.

Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

deoarece Dumnezeu este Unul singur, şi El va socoti neprihăniţi, prin credinţă, pe cei tăiaţi împrejur, şi tot prin credinţă şi pe cei netăiaţi împrejur.

since God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

Érvénytelenné tesszük tehát a törvényt a hit által? Semmiképpen! Sőt inkább megerősítjük a törvényt.

A törvényt tehát hiábavalóvá tesszük-é a hit által? Távol legyen! Sőt inkább a törvényt megerősítjük.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Deci prin credinţă desfiinţăm noi Legea? Nicidecum. Dimpotrivă, noi întărim Legea.

Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.
