Dús szőlőtő Izráel, amely megtermi gyümölcsét. Gyümölcsének sokasága szerint sokasította meg oltárait, földjének jósága szerint jó sok oszlopot állított föl.

Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.

Israel era o vie mănoasă, care făcea multe roade. Cu cât roadele sale erau mai multe, cu atât mai multe altare a zidit; cu cât îi propăşea ţara, cu atât înfrumuseţa stâlpii idoleşti.

Israel is a luxuriant vine that yields its fruit. The more his fruit increased, the more altars he built; as his country improved, he improved his pillars.

Csalárd a szívük, de most meglakolnak! Ő maga töri le oltáraikat, elpusztítja bálványoszlopaikat.

Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.

Inima lor este împărţită: de aceea vor fi pedepsiţi. Domnul le va surpa altarele, le va nimici stâlpii idoleşti.

Their heart is false; now they must bear their guilt. The LORD will break down their altars and destroy their pillars.

Bizony azt mondják most: Nincsen királyunk, mert nem féltük az URat; mit segíthetne rajtunk a király?!

For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?

Şi curând vor zice: „N-avem un adevărat împărat, căci nu ne-am temut de Domnul; şi împăratul pe care-l avem, ce ar putea face el pentru noi?”

For now they will say: “We have no king, for we do not fear the LORD; and a king—what could he do for us?”

Összevissza beszéltek, hamisan esküdtek, szövetséget kötöttek. De mint a mező barázdáin sarjadzó mérges gaz, úgy sarjadzik ki az ítélet.

They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.

Ei rostesc vorbe deşarte, jurăminte mincinoase, când încheie un legământ: de aceea, pedeapsa va încolţi ca o buruiană otrăvitoare din brazdele câmpiei!

They utter mere words; with empty oaths they make covenants; so judgment springs up like poisonous weeds in the furrows of the field.

Bét-Áven borjúi miatt aggódnak Samária lakói. Bizony megsiratja azt az ő népe, és papjai is, akik dicsőségében örvendeztek, mert eltávozott tőle.

The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.

Locuitorii Samariei se vor uimi de viţeii din Bet-Aven; poporul va jeli pe idol, şi preoţii lui vor tremura pentru el, pentru slava lui care va pieri din mijlocul lor.

The inhabitants of Samaria tremble for the calf of Beth-aven. Its people mourn for it, and so do its idolatrous priests— those who rejoiced over it and over its glory— for it has departed from them.

Azt is Asszíriába vonszolják, ajándékul Járeb királynak. Szégyent vall Efraim, és megszégyenül Izráel a tanácsa miatt.

It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.

Da, el însuşi va fi dus în Asiria ca dar împăratului Iareb. Ruşinea va cuprinde pe Efraim, şi lui Israel îi va fi ruşine de planurile sale.

The thing itself shall be carried to Assyria as tribute to the great king. Ephraim shall be put to shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his idol.

Elvész Samária! Királya olyan lesz, mint forgács a víz színén!

As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.

S-a dus Samaria şi împăratul ei ca o ţăpligă pe faţa apelor.

Samaria’s king shall perish like a twig on the face of the waters.

Lerombolják Izráel vétkét, Áven magaslatait. Tövis és bogáncskóró növi be oltárait. Azt mondják majd a hegyeknek: Borítsatok be minket! A halmoknak pedig: Omoljatok ránk!

És Aven magaslatai, az Izráel vétke, lerontatnak. Tövis és bogácskóró növi be oltáraikat, és mondják majd a hegyeknek: Borítsatok be minket! a halmoknak pedig: Omoljatok reánk!

The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.

Înălţimile din Bet-Aven, unde a păcătuit Israel, vor fi nimicite; spini şi mărăcini vor creşte pe altarele lor. Şi vor zice munţilor: „Acoperiţi-ne!”, şi dealurilor: „Cădeţi peste noi!”

The high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed. Thorn and thistle shall grow up on their altars, and they shall say to the mountains, “Cover us,” and to the hills, “Fall on us.”

Gibea napjaitól fogva vétkeztél, Izráel! Ott állnak; nem éri-e el őket a háború Gibeában a gonoszság fiai miatt?

Gibea napjaitól fogva vétkezél, oh Izráel! Ott maradtak; nem érte őket Gibeában a harcz a gonoszság fiai ellen.

O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.

„Din zilele Ghibei ai păcătuit, Israele! Acolo au stat ei, ca războiul făcut împotriva celor răi să nu-i apuce la Ghibeea.

From the days of Gibeah, you have sinned, O Israel; there they have continued. Shall not the war against the unjust overtake them in Gibeah?

Megfenyítem hát őket kedvemre! Amikor összegyülekeznek ellenük a népek, megkötözik őket kettős gazságukért.

It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.

Îi voi pedepsi când voi vrea, şi se vor strânge popoare împotriva lor, când îi voi pedepsi pentru îndoita lor nelegiuire!

When I please, I will discipline them, and nations shall be gathered against them when they are bound up for their double iniquity.

And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.

Efraim este o mânzată învăţată la jug, căreia îi place să treiere grâul, şi i-am cruţat gâtul său cel frumos; dar acum voi înjuga pe Efraim, Iuda va ara, şi Iacov îi va grăpa.”

Ephraim was a trained calf that loved to thresh, and I spared her fair neck; but I will put Ephraim to the yoke; Judah must plow; Jacob must harrow for himself.

Vessetek magatoknak igazságot, akkor kegyelmet arathattok! Szántsatok magatoknak új szántást, mert ideje keresnetek az URat, amíg eljön, hogy az igazság esőjét adja nektek.

Vessetek magatoknak igazságra; arassatok kegyelem szerint! Szántsatok magatoknak új szántást; mert ideje keresnetek az Urat, mígnem eljő, hogy igazság esőjét adjon néktek.

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Semănaţi potrivit cu neprihănirea, şi veţi secera potrivit cu îndurarea. Desţeleniţi-vă un ogor nou! Este vremea să căutaţi pe Domnul, ca să vină şi să vă plouă mântuire.

Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.

Gonoszságot szántottatok, álnokságot arattatok, és eszitek a hazugság gyümölcsét. Mert a magad útjaiban és vitézeid sokaságában bíztál!

Istentelenséget szántottatok, álnokságot arattatok. Eszitek a hazugság gyümölcsét, mert bíztál a te utadban és vitézeidnek sokaságában!

Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

Aţi arat răul, aţi secerat nelegiuirea şi aţi mâncat rodul minciunii. Căci te-ai încrezut în carele tale de luptă, în numărul oamenilor tăi viteji.

You have plowed iniquity; you have reaped injustice; you have eaten the fruit of lies. Because you have trusted in your own way and in the multitude of your warriors,

Azért zendülés támad néped között, és minden erődítményed elpusztul, ahogyan Salman elpusztította Bét-Arbélt, amikor az ütközet napján az anyákat gyermekeikkel együtt gyilkolták le.

Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.

De aceea se va stârni o zarvă împotriva poporului tău şi toate cetăţuile tale vor fi nimicite, cum a nimicit în luptă Şalman-Bet-Arbel, când mama a fost zdrobită împreună cu copiii ei.

therefore the tumult of war shall arise among your people, and all your fortresses shall be destroyed, as Shalman destroyed Beth-arbel on the day of battle; mothers were dashed in pieces with their children.

Ez történik veletek Bételben nagy gonoszságotok miatt. Hajnalra bizony elvész Izráel királya!

Így cselekszik veletek Beth-El, a ti nagy gonoszságtokért; hajnalra bizony elvész Izráel királya!

So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.

Iată ce vă va aduce Betel, din pricina răutăţii voastre peste măsură de mare. În revărsatul zorilor, se va isprăvi cu împăratul lui Israel!

Thus it shall be done to you, O Bethel, because of your great evil. At dawn the king of Israel shall be utterly cut off.
