Ha Efraim megszólalt, rettegés támadt. Naggyá lett Izráelben, de vétkezett a Baallal, és meghalt.

Efraim szólott volt, rettegés: nagygyá lett Izráelben, de vétkezett a Baállal, és meghalt.

When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.

Când vorbea Efraim, răspândea groaza în Israel. Dar cum a păcătuit cu Baal, a murit.

When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling; he was exalted in Israel, but he incurred guilt through Baal and died.

Most is gyarapítják vétkeiket, és öntött szobrot csinálnak maguknak ezüstjükből: bálványokat a maguk esze szerint. Mesteremberek műve mindez, akik ezt mondják róluk: az emberek, akik áldoznak, hadd csókolgassák a borjúkat!

Most is többítik bűneiket és csinálnak magoknak öntött képeket az ő ezüstjökből, bálványokat az ő eszök szerint. Képfaragók csinálmánya mindaz! Róluk mondják: Emberek, a kik áldoznak, borjúkat csókolnak!

And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

Şi acum ei păcătuiesc întruna, îşi fac chipuri turnate din argintul lor, idoli născociţi de ei, lucrare făcută de meşteri. Acestora le vorbesc ei şi, jertfind oameni, sărută viţei!

And now they sin more and more, and make for themselves metal images, idols skillfully made of their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of them, “Those who offer human sacrifice kiss calves!”

Azért olyanná lesznek, mint a reggeli felhő, és mint a harmat, amely korán eltűnik; mint a szérűről elsodort polyva, és mint a kémény füstje.

Azért olyanná lesznek, mint a reggeli felhő és mint a harmat, a mely korán eltűnik; mint a szérűről elsodort polyva és mint a kéménynek füstje.

Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.

De aceea, vor fi ca norul de dimineaţă, ca roua care trece repede, ca pleava suflată de vânt din arie, ca fumul care iese din horn.

Therefore they shall be like the morning mist or like the dew that goes early away, like the chaff that swirls from the threshing floor or like smoke from a window.

Mert én vagyok az ÚR, a te Istened Egyiptom földjétől fogva. Nem ismerhetsz más Istent rajtam kívül, és rajtam kívül nincs más szabadító!

Pedig én vagyok az Úr, a te Istened Égyiptom földétől fogva. Nem ismerhetsz más Istent kivülem, és rajtam kivül nincs [más] szabadító!

Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.

„Dar Eu sunt Domnul Dumnezeul tău din ţara Egiptului încoace. Tu cunoşti că nu este alt Dumnezeu afară de Mine şi nu este alt Mântuitor afară de Mine.

But I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt; you know no God but me, and besides me there is no savior.

Én gondoskodtam rólad a pusztában, a kiszikkadt földön.

Én ismertelek téged a pusztában, az eltikkadt földön.

I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.

Eu te-am cunoscut în pustiu, într-un pământ fără apă.

It was I who knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought;

Ha legelhettek, elteltek. Elteltek, és szívük fölfuvalkodott, ezért felejtkeztek el rólam.

A mint legeltek: elteltek; elteltek és szívök felfuvalkodék: azért hát elfelejtkezének rólam.

According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.

Dar când au dat de păşune, s-au săturat, şi, când s-au săturat, inima li s-a umflat de mândrie; de aceea M-au uitat.

but when they had grazed, they became full, they were filled, and their heart was lifted up; therefore they forgot me.

De olyan leszek hozzájuk, mint az oroszlán, mint a párduc, úgy leselkedem rájuk az úton.

De olyan is leszek hozzájok, mint az oroszlán; mint a párducz, úgy lesekedem az úton.

Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them:

Eu M-am făcut ca un leu pentru ei şi-i pândesc ca un pardos pe drum.

So I am to them like a lion; like a leopard I will lurk beside the way.

Rájuk rontok, mint a kölykétől megfosztott medve, föltépem mellkasukat, és fölfalom ott őket, mint egy nőstény oroszlán. Mezei vad szaggatja szét őket!

Rájok rohanok, mint a [kölykétől] megfosztott medve, és széttépem szívök borítóját, és felfalom ott őket, mint egy nőstény oroszlán. A mezei vad szaggatja szét őket!

I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.

Mă năpustesc asupra lor ca o ursoaică lipsită de puii ei, le sfâşii învelişul inimii; îi înghit îndată ca un leu, şi fiarele câmpului îi vor face bucăţi.

I will fall upon them like a bear robbed of her cubs; I will tear open their breast, and there I will devour them like a lion, as a wild beast would rip them open.

O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.

Pieirea ta, Israele, este că ai fost împotriva Mea, împotriva Celui ce te putea ajuta.

He destroys you, O Israel, for you are against me, against your helper.

Hol van hát királyod, hogy megszabadítsa minden városodat? És bíráid, akikről azt mondtad: Adj nekem királyt és fejedelmeket!

Hol van hát a te királyod, hol van, hogy megoltalmazzon minden városodban? És biráid, a kik felől ezt mondád: Adj nékem királyt és fejedelmeket!

I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?

Unde este împăratul tău, ca să te scape în toate cetăţile tale? Unde sunt judecătorii tăi, despre care ziceai: „Dă-mi un împărat şi domni”?

Where now is your king, to save you in all your cities? Where are all your rulers— those of whom you said, “Give me a king and princes”?

Adok neked királyt haragomban, de el is veszem fölindulásomban.

Adtam néked királyt haragomban, és elvettem az én búsulásomban!

I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.

Ţi-am dat un împărat în mânia Mea, şi ţi-l iau în urgia Mea!

I gave you a king in my anger, and I took him away in my wrath.

Össze van gyűjtve Efraim álnoksága, el van téve a vétke!

Egybe van kötve Efraim álnoksága; eltéve az ő bűne!

The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is hid.

Nelegiuirea lui Efraim este strânsă, păcatul lui este păstrat.

The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is kept in store.

A szülés kínjai lepik meg őt. Oktalan fiú ő, mert nem jön ki a kellő időben anyja méhéből.

A szülőasszony kínjai lepik meg őt; oktalan fiú ő, mert a kellő időben nem jő ki anyjának méhéből.

The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children.

Îl vor apuca durerile naşterii; este un copil neînţelept, căci nu poate să nască la vremea sorocită!

The pangs of childbirth come for him, but he is an unwise son, for at the right time he does not present himself at the opening of the womb.

Megváltom őket a Seol hatalmából! Megváltom őket a haláltól! Hol van a tövised, ó, halál? Hol a fullánkod, Seol? A részvét rejtve van előlem.

Megváltom őket a Seol hatalmából! Megmentem őket a haláltól! Hol van a te veszedelmed oh halál?! Hol van a te romlásod oh Seol?! Megbánás elrejtetett én előlem.

I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

Îi voi răscumpăra din mâna Locuinţei morţilor, îi voi izbăvi de la moarte. Moarte, unde îţi este ciuma? Locuinţă a morţilor, unde îţi este nimicirea? Căinţa este ascunsă de privirile Mele!”

I shall ransom them from the power of Sheol; I shall redeem them from Death. O Death, where are your plagues? O Sheol, where is your sting? Compassion is hidden from my eyes.

Mert bár ő a legvirágzóbb a testvérek közt, feljön majd a keleti szél, az ÚR szele föltámad a pusztából: kiszárad a kútja, elapad a forrása, kincstárának minden drágaságát kirabolja.

Mert bár a testvérek közt ő a legvirágzóbb: feljő a keleti szél, az Úr szele támad fel a pusztából; kiszárad kútfeje, elapad forrása: az rabolja ki minden drága kincseinek tárházát.

Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.

Oricât de roditor ar fi Efraim în mijlocul fraţilor săi, tot va veni vântul de răsărit, se va stârni din pustiu un vânt al Domnului, îi va usca izvoarele şi-i va seca fântânile: va jefui vistieria de toate vasele ei de preţ.

Though he may flourish among his brothers, the east wind, the wind of the LORD, shall come, rising from the wilderness, and his fountain shall dry up; his spring shall be parched; it shall strip his treasury of every precious thing.

Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Samaria este pedepsită pentru că s-a răzvrătit împotriva Dumnezeului ei. Vor cădea ucişi de sabie; pruncii lor vor fi zdrobiţi şi vor spinteca pântecele femeilor lor însărcinate.
