Efraim szelet legel, és a keleti szelet üldözi egész nap. Szaporítja a hazugságot és a sanyargatást: szövetséget kötnek az asszírokkal, és olajat visznek Egyiptomba.

Széllel táplálkozik Efraim és fut a keleti szél után. Mindennap szaporítja a hazugságot és a sanyargatást, és frigyet szereznek az Assirussal és Égyiptomba visznek olajat.

Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

Lui Efraim îi place vântul şi aleargă după vântul de răsărit; zilnic măreşte minciuna şi înşelătoria; face legământ cu Asiria şi duc untdelemn în Egipt.

Ephraim feeds on the wind and pursues the east wind all day long; they multiply falsehood and violence; they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried to Egypt.

The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.

Domnul este în ceartă şi cu Iuda şi va pedepsi pe Iacov după purtarea lui: îi va răsplăti după faptele lui.

The LORD has an indictment against Judah and will punish Jacob according to his ways; he will repay him according to his deeds.

Már anyja méhében sarkon fogta bátyját, és ereje teljében Istennel küzdött.

He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:

Încă din pântecele mamei a apucat Iacov pe fratele său de călcâi; şi, în puterea lui, s-a luptat cu Dumnezeu.

In the womb he took his brother by the heel, and in his manhood he strove with God.

Küzdött az angyallal, és legyőzte; sírt, és könyörgött neki. Bételben találta meg őt, és ott beszélt velünk.

Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;

S-a luptat cu îngerul şi a fost biruitor, a plâns şi s-a rugat de el. Iacov l-a întâlnit la Betel, şi acolo ne-a vorbit Dumnezeu.

He strove with the angel and prevailed; he wept and sought his favor. He met God at Bethel, and there God spoke with us—

Bizony az ÚR a Seregek Istene, ÚR az ő neve.

Bizony az Úr, a seregeknek Istene; az Úr az ő neve.

Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.

Domnul este Dumnezeul oştirilor; numele Lui este Domnul.

Térj hát vissza Istenedhez! Őrizd meg a hűséget és a törvényt, és szüntelenül bízzál Istenedben!

Térj hát vissza a te Istenedhez; őrizd meg az irgalmasságot és az ítéletet, és bízzál szüntelen a te Istenedben.

Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on thy God continually.

Tu, dar, întoarce-te la Dumnezeul tău, păstrează bunătatea şi iubirea şi nădăjduieşte totdeauna în Dumnezeul tău.

“So you, by the help of your God, return, hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God.”

Kánaán ő, hamis mérőeszközök vannak a kezében, szereti megcsalni a másikat.

He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.

Efraim este un negustor care are în mână o cumpănă mincinoasă. Îi place să înşele.

A merchant, in whose hands are false balances, he loves to oppress.

Efraim azt mondja: Bizony meggazdagodtam, vagyont szereztem magamnak. Nem találhatnak bennem bűnt, semmit sem szereztem vétkesen.

És Efraim ugyan ezt mondja: Bizony meggazdagodtam; vagyont szerzettem magamnak. Semmi szerzeményemben nem találnak rajtam álnokságot, a mely bűn volna!

And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.

Şi Efraim zice: „Cu adevărat, m-am îmbogăţit, am făcut avere; şi în toată munca mea nu mi s-ar putea găsi nicio nelegiuire care să fie un păcat.”

Ephraim has said, “Ah, but I am rich; I have found wealth for myself; in all my labors they cannot find in me iniquity or sin.”

De én, az ÚR vagyok a te Istened Egyiptom földje óta. Újra sátorlakóvá teszlek, mint az ünneplés napjain.

De én vagyok az Úr, a te Istened Égyiptom földétől kezdve. Újra sátorok lakójává teszlek téged, mint az ünneplés napjain.

And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.

Şi totuşi, Eu sunt Domnul Dumnezeul tău din ţara Egiptului şi până acum; Eu te voi face să locuieşti iarăşi în corturi ca în zilele de sărbătoare!

I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt; I will again make you dwell in tents, as in the days of the appointed feast.

Mert én szóltam a prófétákhoz, én sokasítottam meg a látomásokat, és én szóltam hasonlatokban a próféták által.

I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.

Eu am vorbit prorocilor, am dat o mulţime de vedenii şi am spus pilde prin proroci.”

I spoke to the prophets; it was I who multiplied visions, and through the prophets gave parables.

Mivel Gileád gonosz, bizony semmivé lesz! Gilgálban bikákkal áldoznak, de oltáraik olyanná lesznek, mint a kőrakások a mező barázdáin.

Ha Gileád a gonoszság [városa,] bizony semmivé lesznek! Gilgálban ökrökkel áldoznak; de oltáraik is olyanokká lesznek, mint a kőrakások a mező barázdáin.

Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.

Dacă Galaadul s-a dedat la slujba idolilor, galaadiţii vor fi nimiciţi negreşit. Ei jertfesc boi în Ghilgal: de aceea, altarele lor vor ajunge nişte mormane de pietre pe brazdele câmpiilor.

If there is iniquity in Gilead, they shall surely come to nothing: in Gilgal they sacrifice bulls; their altars also are like stone heaps on the furrows of the field.

Jákób Arám földjére bujdosott, egy asszonyért szolgált Izráel, egy asszonyért őrizte a nyájat.

And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.

Iacov a fugit odinioară în câmpia Aram, Israel a slujit pentru o femeie şi pentru o femeie a păzit turmele.

Jacob fled to the land of Aram; there Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he guarded sheep.

De próféta által hozta föl az ÚR Izráelt Egyiptomból, és próféta által tartotta meg.

És próféta által hozta fel az Úr Izráelt Égyiptomból, és próféta által tartatott meg.

And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.

Dar printr-un proroc a scos Domnul pe Israel din Egipt şi printr-un proroc a fost păzit Israel.

By a prophet the LORD brought Israel up from Egypt, and by a prophet he was guarded.

Efraim elkeseredetten ingerelte Istent, de a vérontás visszaszáll rá, és az Úr megfizet neki gyalázatosságáért.

Gonoszul ingerelte Efraim [az Istent;] de rajta szárasztja a [sok] vért, és gyalázatosságát megfizeti néki az ő Ura.

Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his LORD return unto him.

Efraim a mâniat rău pe Domnul: dar Domnul său va arunca asupra lui sângele pe care l-a vărsat şi-i va răsplăti ocara pe care I-a făcut-o.

Ephraim has given bitter provocation; so his Lord will leave his bloodguilt on him and will repay him for his disgraceful deeds.
