Bélsaccar király nagy lakomát rendezett ezer főemberének, és az ezer vendég előtt itta a bort.

Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.

Împăratul Belşaţar a făcut un mare ospăţ celor o mie de mai mari ai lui şi a băut vin înaintea lor.

King Belshazzar made a great feast for a thousand of his lords and drank wine in front of the thousand.

Miközben bort ittak, megparancsolta Bélsaccar, hogy hozzák elő az arany- és ezüstedényeket, amelyeket apja, Nebukadneccar vitt el a jeruzsálemi templomból, hogy azokból igyék a király és a főemberei, feleségei és másodfeleségei.

Borozás közben mondá Belsazár, hogy hozzák elő az arany és ezüst edényeket, a melyeket elvive Nabukodonozor, az ő atyja a jeruzsálemi templomból, hogy igyanak azokból a király és az ő főemberei, az ő feleségei és az ő ágyasai.

Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.

Şi, în cheful vinului, a poruncit să aducă vasele de aur şi de argint pe care le luase tatăl său, Nebucadneţar, din Templul de la Ierusalim, ca să bea cu ele împăratul şi mai marii lui, nevestele şi ţiitoarele lui.

Belshazzar, when he tasted the wine, commanded that the vessels of gold and of silver that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple in Jerusalem be brought, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them.

Akkor előhozták az aranyedényeket, amelyeket elvittek Isten házából, amely Jeruzsálemben van. Azokból ivott a király és a főemberei, feleségei és másodfeleségei.

Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.

Au adus îndată vasele de aur care fuseseră luate din Templu, din casa lui Dumnezeu din Ierusalim, şi au băut din ele împăratul şi mai marii lui, nevestele şi ţiitoarele lui.

Then they brought in the golden vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them.

They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

They drank wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.

Egyszer csak emberi kéz ujjai tűntek föl, és írni kezdtek a mécsestartóval szemben a király palotájának vakolatára, a király pedig nézte a kézfejet, amint írt.

Abban az órában emberi kéznek ujjai tünének fel, és írának a gyertyatartóval szemben a király palotájának meszelt falán, és a király nézé azt a kézfejet, a mely ír vala.

In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

În clipa aceea, s-au arătat degetele unei mâini de om şi au scris în faţa sfeşnicului, pe tencuiala zidului palatului împărătesc. Împăratul a văzut această bucată de mână care a scris.

Immediately the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, opposite the lampstand. And the king saw the hand as it wrote.

Ekkor a király ábrázata elváltozott, gondolatai megháborították, derekának inai elernyedtek, és térdei egymáshoz verődtek.

Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

Atunci împăratul a îngălbenit, şi gândurile atât l-au tulburat, că i s-au desfăcut încheieturile şoldurilor, şi genunchii i s-au izbit unul de altul.

Then the king’s color changed, and his thoughts alarmed him; his limbs gave way, and his knees knocked together.

Hangosan kiáltozott a király, hogy hozzák elő a varázslókat, a káldeusokat és a jövendőmondókat. Majd így szólt a király a babilóni bölcsekhez: Akárki legyen az az ember, aki elolvassa ezt az írást, és meg tudja nekem magyarázni az értelmét, azt bíborba öltöztetem, aranylánc lesz a nyakában, és mint harmadik uralkodik az országban.

Erősen kiáltozék a király, hogy hozzák elő a varázslókat, a Káldeusokat és jövendölőket. Szóla a király és monda a babiloni bölcseknek: Akárki legyen az az ember, a ki elolvassa ezt az írást, és annak értelmét megjelenti nékem, bíborba öltöztetik és aranyláncz lesz a nyakában, és mint harmadik parancsol az országban.

The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.

Împăratul a strigat în gura mare să i se aducă cititorii în stele, haldeii şi ghicitorii. Apoi împăratul a luat cuvântul şi a zis înţelepţilor Babilonului: „Oricine va putea citi scrisoarea aceasta şi mi-o va tâlcui va fi îmbrăcat cu purpură, va purta un lănţişor de aur la gât şi va avea locul al treilea în cârmuirea împărăţiei.”

The king called loudly to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers. The king declared to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing, and shows me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

Erre a király bölcsei mind odajöttek, de nem tudták elolvasni az írást, és a jelentését sem tudták megmondani a királynak.

Then came in all the king's wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.

Then all the king’s wise men came in, but they could not read the writing or make known to the king the interpretation.

Akkor Bélsaccar király méginkább megrettent, arca elsápadt, és főemberei is megzavarodtak.

Akkor Belsazár király igen megrettene, és az ő ábrázatja elváltozék rajta, és az ő főemberei is megzavarodának.

Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied.

Din pricina aceasta, împăratul Belşaţar s-a înspăimântat foarte tare, faţa i s-a îngălbenit, şi mai marii lui au rămas încremeniţi.

Then King Belshazzar was greatly alarmed, and his color changed, and his lords were perplexed.

A király és főembereinek beszédei miatt a királyné bement a lakoma termébe. Ezt mondta a királyné: Király, örökké élj! Ne háborítsanak meg a gondolataid, és arcod se sápadjon el!

A királyasszony a király és az ő főembereinek beszédei miatt beméne a lakoma házába, [és] szóla a királyasszony, és monda: Király, örökké élj! Ne rettentsenek téged a te gondolataid, és a te ábrázatod ne változzék el!

Now the queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:

Împărăteasa, la auzul cuvintelor împăratului şi mai marilor lui, a intrat în odaia ospăţului, a luat cuvântul şi a vorbit astfel: „Să trăieşti veşnic, împărate! Să nu te tulbure gândurile tale şi să nu ţi se îngălbenească faţa!

The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banqueting hall, and the queen declared, “O king, live forever! Let not your thoughts alarm you or your color change.

Van egy férfi az országodban, akiben a szent istenek lelke van, és atyád idejében értelem, tudomány és az istenek bölcsességéhez hasonló bölcsesség volt benne, akit Nebukadneccar király, a te atyád az írástudók, varázslók, káldeusok és jövendőmondók fejévé tett – igen, atyád, a király! –,

Van egy férfiú a te országodban, a kiben a szent isteneknek lelke van, és a te atyád idejében értelem, tudomány, és az istenek bölcseségéhez hasonló bölcseség találtaték benne, és a kit Nabukodonozor király, a te atyád, az írástudók, varázslók, Káldeusok és jövendölők fejévé tőn; igen, a te atyád, a király;

There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;

În împărăţia ta este un om care are în el duhul dumnezeilor celor sfinţi; şi pe vremea tatălui tău, s-a găsit la el lumină, pricepere şi o înţelepciune dumnezeiască. De aceea, împăratul Nebucadneţar, tatăl tău, da, tatăl tău, împărate, l-a pus mai mare peste vrăjitori, cititori în stele, haldei, ghicitori,

There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. In the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him, and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers,

mivel Dánielben, akit a király Baltazárnak nevezett, rendkívüli lélek, ismeret és tudomány, álmok magyarázatának, titkok megjelentésének és rejtélyek megfejtésének a képessége volt. Most azért hívasd elő Dánielt, és ő megmondja ennek értelmét.

Mivelhogy Dánielben, a kit a király Baltazárnak nevezett, nagyobb lélek, tudomány és értelem, álmoknak magyarázata és titkok megjelentése és rejtélyek megfejtése találtatott. Most [azért] hivattassék elő Dániel, és ő megjelenti az értelmet.

Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.

şi anume, pentru că s-a găsit la el, la Daniel, numit de împărat Beltşaţar, un duh înalt, ştiinţă şi pricepere, putinţa să tâlcuiască visele, să lămurească întrebările grele şi să dezlege lucrurile încâlcite. Să fie chemat, dar, Daniel, şi el îţi va da tâlcuirea!”

because an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understanding to interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.”

Erre Dánielt a király elé vitték. A király pedig azt mondta Dánielnek: Te vagy-e az a Dániel, aki a júdai foglyok közül való, akit atyám, a király hozott ide Júdából?

Erre Dániel a király elé viteték. Szóla a király, és monda Dánielnek: Te vagy-é ama Dániel, a ki a júdabeli foglyok fiai közül való, a kit ide hozott a király, az én atyám, Júdából?

Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?

Atunci Daniel a fost adus înaintea împăratului. Împăratul a luat cuvântul şi a zis lui Daniel: „Tu eşti Daniel acela, unul din prinşii de război ai lui Iuda pe care i-a adus aici din Iuda, tatăl meu, împăratul?

Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king answered and said to Daniel, “You are that Daniel, one of the exiles of Judah, whom the king my father brought from Judah.

Azt hallottam felőled, hogy az isteneknek lelke van benned, és értelem, tudomány és rendkívüli bölcsesség található benned.

És a ki felől hallottam, hogy az isteneknek lelke van benned, és értelem és tudomány és kiváló bölcseség találtatott te benned?

I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.

Am aflat despre tine că ai în tine duhul dumnezeilor şi că la tine se găseşte lumină, pricepere şi o înţelepciune nemaipomenită.

I have heard of you that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you.

Az imént hozattam magam elé a bölcseket és a varázslókat, hogy olvassák el ezt az írást, és közöljék velem az értelmét, de nem tudták a jelentését megfejteni.

Csak imént hozatának elém a bölcsek és varázslók, hogy elolvassák ezt az írást és jelentését tudassák velem; de nem tudják a dolog értelmét megjelenteni.

And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:

Au adus înaintea mea pe înţelepţi şi pe cititorii în stele ca să citească scrierea aceasta şi să mi-o tâlcuiască; dar n-au putut să tâlcuiască aceste cuvinte.

Now the wise men, the enchanters, have been brought in before me to read this writing and make known to me its interpretation, but they could not show the interpretation of the matter.

Felőled viszont azt hallottam, hogy te képes vagy arra, hogy megmagyarázd az értelmét, és megfejtsd a rejtélyt. Most azért, ha el tudod olvasni ezt az írást, és megmondod annak jelentését, bíborba öltöztetnek, aranylánc lesz a nyakadban, és harmadikként uralkodhatsz az országban.

De felőled azt hallottam, hogy te tudod az értelmet megfejteni és a titkokat megoldani; most azért, ha el tudod olvasni ezt az írást és értelmét nékem megmondani, bíborba öltöztetel és aranyláncz lesz a nyakadon, és mint harmadik uralkodol az országban.

And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.

Am aflat că tu poţi să tâlcuieşti şi să dezlegi întrebări grele; acum, dacă vei putea să citeşti scrierea aceasta şi să mi-o tâlcuieşti, vei fi îmbrăcat cu purpură, vei purta un lănţişor de aur la gât şi vei avea locul al treilea în cârmuirea împărăţiei!”

But I have heard that you can give interpretations and solve problems. Now if you can read the writing and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

Erre Dániel így felelt a királynak: Ajándékaid maradjanak a tieid, és jutalmadat másnak adjad! Mindazáltal az írást elolvasom a királynak, és a jelentését megmondom neki.

Erre Dániel felele, és monda a királynak: Ajándékaid tiéid legyenek, és adományaidat másnak adjad, mindazáltal az írást elolvasom a királynak, és jelentését megmondom néki.

Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

Daniel a răspuns îndată înaintea împăratului: „Ţine-ţi darurile şi dă altuia răsplătirile tale! Totuşi voi citi împăratului scrierea şi i-o voi tâlcui.

Then Daniel answered and said before the king, “Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another. Nevertheless, I will read the writing to the king and make known to him the interpretation.

Ó, király! A felséges Isten birodalmat és méltóságot, dicsőséget és tisztességet adott Nebukadneccarnak, a te atyádnak.

Te, oh király! A felséges Isten birodalmat és méltóságot, dicsőséget és tisztességet ada Nabukodonozornak, a te atyádnak;

O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:

Împărate, Dumnezeul cel Preaînalt dăduse tatălui tău, Nebucadneţar, împărăţie, mărime, slavă şi strălucire;

O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father kingship and greatness and glory and majesty.

A méltóság miatt, amelyet neki adott, félt és rettegett tőle minden nép, nemzet és nyelv. Mert akit akart, megölt, és akit akart, életben hagyott, akit akart, fölmagasztalt, és akit akart, megalázott.

És a méltóság miatt, a melyet ada néki, a népek, nemzetek és nyelvek mind féltek és rettegtek tőle; megölt, a kit akart; és életben tartott a kit akart; felemelt, a kit akart; és megalázott, a kit akart;

And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.

şi, din pricina mărimii pe care i-o dăduse, toate popoarele, neamurile, oamenii de toate limbile se temeau şi tremurau înaintea lui. Căci împăratul omora pe cine voia, şi lăsa cu viaţă pe cine voia; înălţa pe cine voia, şi cobora pe cine voia.

And because of the greatness that he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he would, he killed, and whom he would, he kept alive; whom he would, he raised up, and whom he would, he humbled.

De amikor szíve fölfuvalkodott, és lelke gőgösen megkeményedett, eltávolították őt királyi trónjáról, és dicsőségét elvették tőle.

De mikor a szíve felfuvalkodott, és a lelke megkeményedett megátalkodottan: levetteték az ő birodalmának királyi székéből, és dicsőségét elvevék tőle;

But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was brought down from his kingly throne, and his glory was taken from him.

Az emberek közül is kivetették, és értelme olyan lett, mint az állatoké. A vadszamarak között lakott, füvet adtak neki enni, mint az ökörnek, és testét az égi harmat öntözte, amíg el nem ismerte, hogy a felséges Isten uralkodik az emberek birodalmán, és azt rendeli föléje, akit akar.

And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

a fost izgonit din mijlocul copiilor oamenilor, inima i s-a făcut ca a fiarelor şi a locuit la un loc cu măgarii sălbatici; i-au dat să mănânce iarbă ca la boi, şi trupul i-a fost udat cu roua cerului, până când a recunoscut că Dumnezeul cel Preaînalt stăpâneşte peste împărăţia oamenilor şi că o dă cui vrea.

He was driven from among the children of mankind, and his mind was made like that of a beast, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, until he knew that the Most High God rules the kingdom of mankind and sets over it whom he will.

És te, Bélsaccar, az ő fia, nem aláztad meg a szívedet, noha mindezt tudtad.

És te, Belsazár, az ő fia, nem aláztad meg a szívedet, noha mindezt tudtad.

And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

Dar tu, Belşaţar, fiul lui, nu ţi-ai smerit inima, măcar că ai ştiut toate aceste lucruri.

And you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,

Sőt fölemelkedtél az egek Ura ellen, és házának edényeit eléd hozták, és te és a te főembereid, feleségeid és másodfeleségeid bort ittak belőlük. Az ezüst-, arany-, réz-, vas-, fa- és kőisteneket dicsérted, akik nem látnak, se nem hallanak, se nem értenek. Az Istent pedig, akinek a kezében van a lelked, és előtte van minden utad, nem dicsőítetted.

Sőt felemelkedtél az egek Ura ellen, és az ő házának edényeit elődbe hozták, és te és a te főembereid, a te feleségeid és a te ágyasaid bort ittak azokból; és az ezüst- és arany-, ércz-, vas-, fa- és kőisteneket dícséréd, a kik nem látnak, sem nem hallanak, sem nem értenek; az Istent pedig, a kinek kezében van a te lelked, és előtte minden te útad, nem dicsőítetted.

But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

Ci te-ai înălţat împotriva Domnului cerurilor; vasele din Casa Lui au fost aduse înaintea ta şi aţi băut vin cu ele, tu şi mai marii tăi, nevestele şi ţiitoarele tale; ai lăudat pe dumnezeii de argint, de aur, de aramă, de fier, de lemn şi de piatră, care nici nu văd, nici n-aud şi nici nu pricep nimic şi n-ai slăvit pe Dumnezeul în mâna căruia este suflarea ta şi toate căile tale!

but you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And the vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored.

Ezért küldte ő ezt a kezet, és íratta föl ezt az írást.

Azért küldetett ő általa ez a kéz, és jegyeztetett fel ez az írás.

Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.

De aceea a trimis El acest cap de mână care a scris scrierea aceasta.

“Then from his presence the hand was sent, and this writing was inscribed.

Ez az az írás, amely föl van írva: Mené, mené, tekél, ú-parszin!

És ez az írás, a mely feljegyeztetett: Mene, Mene, Tekel, Ufarszin!

And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

Iată însă scrierea care a fost scrisă: „Numărat, numărat, cântărit şi împărţit!”

And this is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, and PARSIN.

Ez pedig a szavak értelme: mené, azaz számba vette Isten a te országlásodat, és véget vet annak;

Ez [pedig] e szavaknak az értelme: Mene, [azaz] számba vette Isten a te országlásodat és véget vet annak.

This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

Şi iată tâlcuirea acestor cuvinte: Numărat înseamnă că Dumnezeu ţi-a numărat zilele domniei şi i-a pus capăt.

This is the interpretation of the matter: MENE, God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end;

tekél, azaz megmérettél a mérlegen, és híjával találtattál;

Tekel, [azaz] megmérettél a mérlegen és híjjával találtattál.

TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

Cântărit înseamnă că ai fost cântărit în cumpănă şi ai fost găsit uşor!

TEKEL, you have been weighed in the balances and found wanting;

perész, azaz felosztatott a te országod, és a médeknek és perzsáknak adatott.

Peresz, [azaz] elosztatott a te országod és adatott a médeknek és persáknak.

PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

Akkor parancsot adott Bélsaccar, és bíborba öltöztették Dánielt, aranyláncot tettek a nyakába, és kihirdették felőle, hogy harmadikként uralkodik az országban.

Akkor szóla Belsazár, és öltöztették Dánielt bíborba, és aranylánczot [vetének] nyakába, és kikiálták felőle, hogy ő parancsol mint harmadik az országban.

Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

Îndată Belşaţar a dat poruncă, şi au îmbrăcat pe Daniel cu purpură, i-au pus un lănţişor de aur la gât şi au dat de ştire că va avea locul al treilea în cârmuirea împărăţiei.

Then Belshazzar gave the command, and Daniel was clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.

Dar chiar în noaptea aceea, Belşaţar, împăratul haldeilor, a fost omorât.

That very night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed.

A méd Dárius pedig elfoglalta az országot hatvankét esztendős korában.

És a méd Dárius foglalá el az országot mintegy hatvankét esztendős korában.

And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

Şi a pus mâna pe împărăţie Darius, medul, care era în vârstă de şaizeci şi doi de ani.

And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.
