Ó, mily szépen lépdelsz saruidban, ó, fejedelmi leány! Csípőd hajlatai olyanok, mint az ékszerek, melyeket művészi kezek alkottak.

Oh mely szépek a te lépéseid a sarukban, oh fejedelem leánya! A te csípőd hajlásai [olyanok,] mint a kösöntyűk, mesteri kezeknek míve.

How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.

Ce frumoase îţi sunt picioarele în încălţămintea ta, fată de domn! Marginile rotunde ale coapsei tale sunt ca nişte lănţişoare de pus la gât, lucrate de mâinile unui meşter iscusit.

How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O noble daughter! Your rounded thighs are like jewels, the work of a master hand.

Köldököd kerek csésze, melyből nem hiányozhat a fűszeres bor. Hasad, mint a gabonaasztag, liliomokkal körülkerítve.

A te köldököd, mint a kerekded csésze, nem szűkölködik nedvesség nélkül; a te hasad [mint a] gabonaasztag, liliomokkal körül kerítve.

Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.

Pântecele tău este un pahar rotund de unde nu lipseşte vinul mirositor; trupul tău este un snop de grâu încins cu crini.

Your navel is a rounded bowl that never lacks mixed wine. Your belly is a heap of wheat, encircled with lilies.

A te két emlőd, [mint] két őzike, a vadkecskének kettős fiai.

Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.

Amândouă ţâţele tale sunt ca doi pui de cerb, ca gemenii unei căprioare.

Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle.

Nyakad, mint az elefántcsonttorony. Szemeid, mint a hesbóni halastavak a batrabbími kapunál. Orrod hasonló a Libánon tornyához, mely Damaszkusz felé néz.

A te nyakad, mint az elefánttetemből csinált torony; a te szemeid, [mint] [a] Hesbonbeli halastók, a sok népű kapunál; a te orrod hasonló a Libánus tornyához, mely néz Damaskus felé.

Thy neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bathrabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.

Gâtul tău este ca un turn de fildeş; ochii tăi sunt ca iazurile Hesbonului de lângă poarta Bat-Rabim; nasul tău este ca turnul Libanului care priveşte spre Damasc.

Your neck is like an ivory tower. Your eyes are pools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bath-rabbim. Your nose is like a tower of Lebanon, which looks toward Damascus.

Fejed hasonló a Karmelhez és hajfonatod a bíborhoz, a királyt is fogva tartják fürtjeid.

A te fejed hasonló rajtad a Kármelhez, és a te fejeden hajadnak fonatékja a biborhoz, a király is megköttetnék fürteid által!

Thine head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king is held in the galleries.

Capul tău este cum e Carmelul, şi părul capului tău este ca purpura împărătească: până şi un împărat ar fi înlănţuit de pletele tale!…

Your head crowns you like Carmel, and your flowing locks are like purple; a king is held captive in the tresses.

Mily szép vagy, és milyen kedves, ó, szerelmem, a te gyönyörűségeddel!

Mely igen szép vagy és mely kedves, oh szerelem, a gyönyörűségek közt!

How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights!

Ce frumoasă şi ce plăcută eşti, tu, iubito, în mijlocul desfătărilor!

How beautiful and pleasant you are, O loved one, with all your delights!

Termeted hasonló a pálmafához, és melleid olyanok, mint a szőlőfürtök.

Azt mondtam: Fölmászom a pálmafára, és megragadom az ágait. Olyanok melleid, mint a szőlőfürtök, és leheleted illata, mint az almáé.

Keljünk föl korán, menjünk a szőlőskertekbe, hogy lássuk, fakad-e a szőlő, kinyílt-e virága, és virágoznak-e a gránátalmafák. Ott adom neked szerelmemet.

Felkelvén menjünk a szőlőkbe, lássuk meg, ha fakad-é a szőlő, ha kinyílott-é virágja, ha virágzanak-é a gránátalmafák: ott közlöm az én szerelmimet veled.

Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves.

Dis-de-dimineaţă ne vom duce la vii să vedem dacă a înmugurit via, dacă s-a deschis floarea şi dacă au înflorit rodiile. Acolo îţi voi da dragostea mea.

let us go out early to the vineyards and see whether the vines have budded, whether the grape blossoms have opened and the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my love.

A mandragórák illatoznak, ajtónk előtt ott a sok pompás gyümölcs, frisset és aszaltat is tettem félre neked, szerelmesem.
