Azon a napon Ahasvérós király Eszter királynénak adta Hámánnak, a zsidók ellenségének a házát, és Mordokaj bement a király színe elé, mert Eszter elmondta, hogy kije ő neki.

Azon a napon adá Ahasvérus király Eszter királynénak Hámánnak, a zsidók ellenségének házát, és Márdokeus beméne a király elébe, mert elmondotta Eszter, micsodája ő néki.

On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews' enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.

În aceeaşi zi, împăratul Ahaşveroş a dat împărătesei Estera casa lui Haman, vrăjmaşul iudeilor. Şi Mardoheu a venit înaintea împăratului, căci Estera arătase legătura ei de rudenie cu el.

On that day King Ahasuerus gave to Queen Esther the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had told what he was to her.

Akkor a király lehúzta a gyűrűjét, amelyet Hámántól elvett, és Mordokajnak adta. Eszter pedig Mordokajt Hámán házának a felügyelőjévé tette.

Lehúzá azért a király az ő gyűrűjét, a melyet Hámántól elvett, és adá azt Márdokeusnak. Eszter pedig Márdokeust tette Hámán házának fejévé.

And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

Împăratul şi-a scos inelul, pe care-l luase înapoi de la Haman, şi l-a dat lui Mardoheu. Estera, din partea ei, a pus pe Mardoheu peste casa lui Haman.

And the king took off his signet ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

Majd újra szólt Eszter a királyhoz, leborult a lábához, sírt és könyörgött, hogy semmisítse meg az agági Hámán gonosz tervét, amelyet kigondolt a zsidók ellen.

És tovább szóla Eszter a király előtt, és leborult annak lábaihoz és sírt és könyörgött, hogy semmisítse meg az agági Hámán gonoszságát és tervét, a melyet kigondolt a zsidók ellen.

And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews.

Apoi Estera a vorbit din nou înaintea împăratului. S-a aruncat la picioarele lui, a plâns, l-a rugat să oprească urmările răutăţii lui Haman, agaghitul, şi izbânda planurilor lui împotriva iudeilor.

Then Esther spoke again to the king. She fell at his feet and wept and pleaded with him to avert the evil plan of Haman the Agagite and the plot that he had devised against the Jews.

A király pedig kinyújtotta Eszter felé az aranypálcát. Eszter fölkelt, megállt a király előtt,

És a király kinyujtá Eszterre az arany pálczát, és Eszter felkelt és megálla a király előtt,

Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king,

Împăratul a întins toiagul împărătesc de aur Esterei, care s-a ridicat şi a stat în picioare înaintea împăratului.

When the king held out the golden scepter to Esther, Esther rose and stood before the king.

és azt mondta: Ha a királynak tetszik, ha kegyelmet találtam őelőtte, és helyes dolog a király előtt, és én kedves vagyok a szeme előtt, adjon ki egy iratot, hogy vonják vissza az agági Hámánnak, Hammedátá fiának a tervéről szóló leveleket, amelyeket azért írt, hogy elveszítsék a zsidókat a király minden tartományában.

És monda: Ha a királynak tetszik, és ha kegyet találtam ő előtte, és ha helyes a dolog a király előtt, és én kedves vagyok szemei előtt: írassék meg, hogy vonassanak vissza az agági Hámánnak, Hammedáta fiának tervéről szóló levelek, a melyeket írt, hogy elveszessék a zsidókat, a kik a király minden tartományában vannak.

And said, If it please the king, and if I have favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces:

Ea a zis atunci: „Dacă împăratul găseşte cu cale şi dacă am căpătat trecere înaintea lui, dacă lucrul pare potrivit împăratului şi dacă eu sunt plăcută înaintea lui, să se scrie ca să se întoarcă scrisorile făcute de Haman, fiul lui Hamedata, agaghitul, şi scrise de el cu gând să piardă pe iudeii care sunt în toate ţinuturile împăratului.

And she said, “If it please the king, and if I have found favor in his sight, and if the thing seems right before the king, and I am pleasing in his eyes, let an order be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman the Agagite, the son of Hammedatha, which he wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the provinces of the king.

Mert hogyan tudnám elnézni azt a nyomorúságot, amely népemet érné, és hogyan tudnám nézni testvéreim vesztét?

Mert hogyan tudnám nézni azt a nyomorúságot, mely érné az én nemzetségemet, és hogyan tudnám nézni az én atyámfiainak veszedelmét?

For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

Căci cum aş putea eu să văd nenorocirea care ar atinge pe poporul meu şi cum aş putea să văd nimicirea neamului meu?”

For how can I bear to see the calamity that is coming to my people? Or how can I bear to see the destruction of my kindred?”

Ahasvérós király erre azt mondta Eszter királynénak és a zsidó Mordokajnak: Íme, Hámán házát Eszternek adtam, és őt felakasztották a fára azért, mert a zsidókra rávetette a kezét.

Monda pedig Ahasvérus király Eszter királynénak és a zsidó Márdokeusnak: Ímé Hámán házát Eszternek adtam, és őt felakasztották a fára azért, mert a zsidókra bocsátotta kezét.

Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.

Împăratul Ahaşveroş a zis împărătesei Estera şi iudeului Mardoheu: „Iată, am dat Esterei casa lui Haman, şi el a fost spânzurat pe spânzurătoare, pentru că întinsese mâna împotriva iudeilor.

Then King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther and to Mordecai the Jew, “Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and they have hanged him on the gallows, because he intended to lay hands on the Jews.

Ti azért írjatok a zsidóknak a király nevében úgy, ahogy jónak látjátok, és pecsételjétek le a király gyűrűjével. Mert az az irat, amelyet a király nevében írtak és a király gyűrűjével pecsételtek le, nem vonható vissza.

Ti pedig írjatok a zsidóknak, a mint tetszik néktek a király nevében és pecsételjétek meg a király gyűrűjével; mert az írás, a mely a király nevében van írva és a királynak gyűrűjével van megpecsételve, vissza nem vonható.

Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's ring: for the writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the king's ring, may no man reverse.

Scrieţi, dar, în folosul iudeilor cum vă va plăcea, în numele împăratului, şi pecetluiţi cu inelul împăratului. Căci o scrisoare scrisă în numele împăratului şi pecetluită cu inelul împăratului nu poate fi desfiinţată.”

But you may write as you please with regard to the Jews, in the name of the king, and seal it with the king’s ring, for an edict written in the name of the king and sealed with the king’s ring cannot be revoked.”

Azonnal hívatták akkor a király írnokait, a harmadik hónap, azaz Sziván hónap huszonharmadik napján, és azok Mordokaj parancsának megfelelően írtak a zsidóknak és a fejedelmeknek, a kormányzóknak és a tartományok fejeinek Indiától fogva Etiópiáig, százhuszonhét tartományba. Minden tartománynak a maga írásmódján és minden népnek a maga nyelvén; a zsidóknak is a maguk írásmódján és nyelvén.

Hivattatának azért a király irnokai azonnal, a harmadik hónapban (ez a Siván hónap), annak huszonharmadik napján, és megírák úgy, a miként Márdokeus parancsolá a zsidóknak és a fejedelmeknek, a kormányzóknak és a tartományok fejeinek, Indiától fogva Szerecsenországig százhuszonhét tartományba; minden tartománynak annak írása szerint, és minden nemzetségnek az ő nyelvén, és a zsidóknak az ő írások és az ő nyelvök szerint.

Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.

Logofeţii împăratului au fost chemaţi în vremea aceea, în a douăzeci şi treia zi a lunii a treia, adică luna Sivan, şi au scris, după tot ce a poruncit Mardoheu, iudeilor, căpeteniilor oştirii, dregătorilor şi mai marilor celor o sută douăzeci şi şapte de ţinuturi aşezate de la India la Etiopia, fiecărui ţinut după scrierea lui, fiecărui popor după limba lui, şi iudeilor după scrierea şi limba lor.

The king’s scribes were summoned at that time, in the third month, which is the month of Sivan, on the twenty-third day. And an edict was written, according to all that Mordecai commanded concerning the Jews, to the satraps and the governors and the officials of the provinces from India to Ethiopia, 127 provinces, to each province in its own script and to each people in its own language, and also to the Jews in their script and their language.

Ahasvérós király nevében írták, és lepecsételték a király gyűrűjével, azután szétküldték a leveleket lovas futárok által, akik a királyi ménes gyors paripáin lovagoltak.

És megírá Ahasvérus király nevében, és megpecsételé a király gyűrűjével. És külde leveleket lovas futárok által, a kik lovagolnak a királyi ménes gyors paripáin,

And he wrote in the king Ahasuerus' name, and sealed it with the king's ring, and sent letters by posts on horseback, and riders on mules, camels, and young dromedaries:

Au scris în numele împăratului Ahaşveroş şi au pecetluit cu inelul împăratului. Au trimis scrisorile prin alergători călare pe cai şi catâri născuţi din iepe.

And he wrote in the name of King Ahasuerus and sealed it with the king’s signet ring. Then he sent the letters by mounted couriers riding on swift horses that were used in the king’s service, bred from the royal stud,

Ezekben a levelekben a király megengedte a zsidóknak, bármely városban lakjanak is, hogy összegyűljenek, és megvédjék az életüket, és hogy kipusztítsák, megöljék és megsemmisítsék minden nép és tartomány ellenséges seregét, nyomorgatóik kicsinyeit és asszonyait is; és megengedte, hogy zsákmányként elvehessék a vagyonukat.

Hogy megengedte a király a zsidóknak, a kik bármely városban vannak, hogy egybegyűljenek és keljenek fel életökért, és hogy kipusztítsák, megöljék és megsemmisítsék minden népnek és tartománynak seregét, a mely őket nyomorgatja, kicsinyeket és nőket, és hogy javaikat elragadják.

Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,

Prin aceste scrisori, împăratul dădea voie iudeilor, ori în care cetate ar fi fost, să se adune şi să-şi apere viaţa, să nimicească, să omoare şi să piardă, împreună cu pruncii şi femeile lor, pe toţi aceia din fiecare popor şi din fiecare ţinut care ar lua armele să-i lovească, şi să le prade averile.

saying that the king allowed the Jews who were in every city to gather and defend their lives, to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate any armed force of any people or province that might attack them, children and women included, and to plunder their goods,

Ahasvérós király minden tartományában ugyanazon a napon, a tizenkettedik hónap, azaz Adár hónap tizenharmadik napján

Egy napon, Ahasvérus királynak minden tartományában, tizenharmadik napján a tizenkettedik hónapnak (ez Adár hónapja).

Upon one day in all the provinces of king Ahasuerus, namely, upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.

Aceasta să se facă într-o singură zi, în toate ţinuturile împăratul Ahaşveroş, şi anume în a treisprezecea zi a lunii a douăsprezecea, adică luna Adar.

on one day throughout all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar.

törvényként hirdették ki ennek az írásnak a szövegét. Minden egyes tartományban minden népnek tudtára adták, hogy a zsidók készen állnak azon a napon, hogy bosszút álljanak ellenségeiken.

Az írásnak mássa, hogy adassék törvény minden egyes tartományban, meghirdettetett minden népnek, hogy a zsidók készen legyenek azon a napon, hogy megbosszulják magokat ellenségeiken.

The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, and that the Jews should be ready against that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.

Aceste scrisori cuprindeau hotărârea care trebuia vestită în fiecare ţinut şi dădeau de ştire tuturor popoarelor că iudeii stau gata pentru ziua aceea ca să se răzbune pe vrăjmaşii lor.

A copy of what was written was to be issued as a decree in every province, being publicly displayed to all peoples, and the Jews were to be ready on that day to take vengeance on their enemies.

So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king's commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.

Alergătorii călare pe cai şi pe catâri au plecat îndată şi în toată graba, după porunca împăratului. Hotărârea a fost vestită şi în capitala Susa.

So the couriers, mounted on their swift horses that were used in the king’s service, rode out hurriedly, urged by the king’s command. And the decree was issued in Susa the citadel.

Mordokaj pedig kék bíborból és fehér vászonból szőtt királyi ruhában, nagy aranykoronával és fehér szőttes- és bíborvörös palástban távozott a király elől, Súsán városa pedig vigadott és örvendezett.

Márdokeus pedig kiméne a király elől kék bíbor és fehér királyi ruhában, és nagy arany koronával, és bíborbársony palástban, és Susán városa vígada és örvendeze.

And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad.

Mardoheu a ieşit de la împărat cu o haină împărătească albastră şi albă, cu o mare cunună de aur şi cu o mantie de in subţire şi de purpură. Cetatea Susa striga şi se bucura.

Then Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal robes of blue and white, with a great golden crown and a robe of fine linen and purple, and the city of Susa shouted and rejoiced.

And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

În fiecare ţinut şi în fiecare cetate, pretutindeni unde ajungea porunca împăratului şi hotărârea lui, a fost între iudei bucurie şi veselie, ospeţe şi zile de sărbătoare. Şi mulţi oameni dintre popoarele ţării s-au făcut iudei, căci îi apucase frica de iudei.

And in every province and in every city, wherever the king’s command and his edict reached, there was gladness and joy among the Jews, a feast and a holiday. And many from the peoples of the country declared themselves Jews, for fear of the Jews had fallen on them.
