Azon az éjjelen kerülte az álom a királyt, ezért megparancsolta, hogy hozzák elő a nevezetes történetek könyvét, és ezekből olvassanak föl a király előtt.

On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

În noaptea aceea, împăratul n-a putut să doarmă şi a poruncit să-i aducă lângă el cartea aducerilor aminte, Cronicile. Le-au citit înaintea împăratului,

On that night the king could not sleep. And he gave orders to bring the book of memorable deeds, the chronicles, and they were read before the king.

Egy helyen rátaláltak annak leírására, hogy miként jelentette föl Mordokaj Bigtánát és Terest, a király két udvarmesterét, küszöbének őreit, akik azon voltak, hogy kezüket Ahasvérós királyra vessék.

És írva találák, a mint Márdokeus feljelenté Bigtánát és Térest, a király két udvarmesterét, a küszöb őrzőit, a kik azon voltak, hogy rávetik kezöket Ahasvérus királyra.

And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.

şi s-a găsit scris ce descoperise Mardoheu cu privire la Bigtan şi Tereş, cei doi fameni ai împăratului, păzitorii pragului, care voiseră să întindă mâna asupra împăratului Ahaşveroş.

And it was found written how Mordecai had told about Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, who guarded the threshold, and who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.

Akkor megkérdezte a király: Milyen kitüntetést és méltóságot adtak ezért Mordokajnak? A király apródjai, a szolgái így feleltek: Semmit sem kapott ezért.

És monda a király: Micsoda tisztességet és méltóságot adtak azért Márdokeusnak? És felelének a király apródjai, az ő szolgái: Semmit sem juttattak néki [azért.]

And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.

Împăratul a zis: „Ce cinste şi mărire i s-a făcut lui Mardoheu pentru aceasta?” – „Nu i s-a făcut nimic”, au răspuns cei ce slujeau împăratului.

And the king said, “What honor or distinction has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” The king’s young men who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.”

Akkor ezt mondta a király: Ki van az udvarban? Hámán ugyanis éppen akkor jött be a királyi ház külső udvarába, hogy azt kérje a királytól, akasztassa fel Mordokajt a fára, amelyet neki készíttetett.

Akkor monda a király: Ki van az udvarban? (Mert Hámán jöve a királyi ház külső udvarába, hogy megmondja a királynak, hogy akasztassa fel Márdokeust a fára, a melyet készittetett néki.)

And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.

Atunci împăratul a zis: „Cine este în curte?” – Haman venise în curtea de afară a casei împăratului să ceară împăratului să spânzure pe Mardoheu pe lemnul pe care-l pregătise pentru el. –

And the king said, “Who is in the court?” Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the king’s palace to speak to the king about having Mordecai hanged on the gallows that he had prepared for him.

És így feleltek a királynak az ő apródjai: Íme, Hámán áll az udvarban. A király azt mondta erre: Jöjjön be!

És felelének néki a király apródjai: Ímé Hámán áll az udvarban. És mondja a király: Jőjjön be!

And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.

Slujitorii împăratului i-au răspuns: „Haman este în curte.” Şi împăratul a zis: „Să intre.”

And the king’s young men told him, “Haman is there, standing in the court.” And the king said, “Let him come in.”

Amikor bement Hámán, a király azt kérdezte tőle: Mit kell cselekedni azzal az emberrel, akit a király ki kíván tüntetni? Hámán azt gondolta magában: Ki másnak akarna a király kitüntetést adni, ha nem nekem?

És beméne Hámán, és monda néki a király: Mit kell cselekedni azzal a férfiúval, a kinek a király tisztességet kiván? (Hámán pedig gondolá az ő szívében: Kinek akarna a király nagyobb tisztességet tenni, mint én nékem?)

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?

Haman a intrat, şi împăratul i-a zis: „Ce trebuie făcut pentru un om pe care vrea să-l cinstească împăratul?” Haman şi-a zis în sine: „Pe cine altul decât pe mine ar vrea împăratul să-l cinstească?”

So Haman came in, and the king said to him, “What should be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” And Haman said to himself, “Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?”

Ezért azt mondta Hámán a királynak: Annak az embernek, akinek a király kitüntetést kíván adni,

És monda Hámán a királynak: A férfiúnak, a kinek a király tisztességet kiván,

And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,

Şi Haman a răspuns împăratului: „Omului pe care vrea împăratul să-l cinstească

And Haman said to the king, “For the man whom the king delights to honor,

hozzanak királyi ruhát, amilyenben a király jár, és lovat, amilyenen a király szokott ülni, és tegyenek királyi koronát a fejére.

Hozzanak királyi ruhát, a melyben a király jár, és lovat, a melyen a király szokott ülni és a melynek fejére királyi koronát szoktak tenni.

Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:

trebuie să i se aducă haina împărătească, aceea cu care se îmbracă împăratul, şi calul pe care călăreşte împăratul şi să i se pună cununa împărătească pe cap.

let royal robes be brought, which the king has worn, and the horse that the king has ridden, and on whose head a royal crown is set.

Adják azt a ruhát és a lovat a király egyik nemes fejedelmének a kezébe, és öltöztessék fel azt az embert, akit a király ki kívánt tüntetni, vezessék végig lóháton a város utcáin, és kiáltsák előtte: Így cselekszenek azzal az emberrel, akit a király ki akar tüntetni.

És adják azt a ruhát és lovat a király egyik legelső fejedelmének a kezébe, és öltöztessék fel azt a férfiút, a kinek a király tisztességet kiván, és hordozzák őt a lovon a város utczáin, és kiáltsák előtte: Így cselekesznek a férfiúval, a kinek a király tisztességet kiván.

And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

Să se dea haina şi calul uneia din căpeteniile de seamă ale împăratului, apoi să îmbrace cu haina pe omul acela pe care vrea să-l cinstească împăratul, să-l plimbe călare pe cal prin locul deschis al cetăţii şi să se strige înaintea lui: „Aşa se face omului pe care vrea împăratul să-l cinstească!”

And let the robes and the horse be handed over to one of the king’s most noble officials. Let them dress the man whom the king delights to honor, and let them lead him on the horse through the square of the city, proclaiming before him: ‘Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.’”

Akkor azt mondta a király Hámánnak: Siess, hozd elő azt a ruhát és azt a lovat, és cselekedjél aszerint, amint mondtad, a zsidó Mordokajjal, aki a király kapujában ül, és semmit ne hagyj el abból, amit szóltál!

Akkor monda a király Hámánnak: Siess, hozd elő azt a ruhát és azt a lovat, a mint mondád, és cselekedjél úgy a zsidó Márdokeussal, a ki a király kapujában ül, és semmit el ne hagyj mindabból, a mit szóltál.

Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.

Împăratul a zis lui Haman: „Ia îndată haina şi calul, cum ai zis, şi fă aşa iudeului Mardoheu, care şade la poarta împăratului. Nu lăsa nefăcut nimic din ce ai spus.”

Then the king said to Haman, “Hurry; take the robes and the horse, as you have said, and do so to Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king’s gate. Leave out nothing that you have mentioned.”

Előhozta azért Hámán a ruhát és a lovat, felöltöztette Mordokajt, és lóháton végigvezette őt a város utcáján, és ezt kiáltotta előtte: Így cselekszenek azzal az emberrel, akit a király ki akar tüntetni.

Előhozá azért Hámán a ruhát és a lovat, és felöltözteté Márdokeust, és lovon hordozá őt a város utczáján, és kiáltá előtte: Így cselekesznek a férfiúval, a kinek a király tisztességet kiván.

Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

Şi Haman a luat haina şi calul, a îmbrăcat pe Mardoheu, l-a plimbat călare pe cal prin locul deschis al cetăţii şi a strigat înaintea lui: „Aşa se face omului pe care vrea împăratul să-l cinstească!”

So Haman took the robes and the horse, and he dressed Mordecai and led him through the square of the city, proclaiming before him, “Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.”

Azután Mordokaj visszatért a király kapujához. Hámán pedig búsan és fejét betakarva hazasietett.

És Márdokeus megtére a király kapujához. Hámán pedig siete házába, búsulva és fejét betakarva.

And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.

Mardoheu s-a întors la poarta împăratului, şi Haman s-a dus în grabă acasă, mâhnit şi cu capul acoperit.

Then Mordecai returned to the king’s gate. But Haman hurried to his house, mourning and with his head covered.

És elbeszélte Hámán feleségének, Zeresnek és minden barátjának mindazt, ami vele történt. Ezt mondták neki az ő tanácsadói és a felesége, Zeres: Ha Mordokaj előtt, aki zsidó származású, már kezdetben elesel, nem bírsz majd vele, hanem bizonnyal elbuksz vele szemben.

És elbeszélé Hámán Zéresnek, az ő feleségének és minden barátjának mindazt, a mi vele történt. És mondának néki az ő bölcsei és Zéres, az ő felesége: Ha Márdokeus, a ki előtt kezdtél hanyatlani, a zsidók magvából való: nem bírsz vele, hanem bizony elesel előtte.

And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.

Haman a istorisit nevestei sale, Zereş, şi tuturor prietenilor săi tot ce i se întâmplase. Şi înţelepţii lui şi nevasta sa, Zereş, i-au zis: „Dacă Mardoheu, înaintea căruia ai început să cazi, este din neamul iudeilor, nu vei putea face nimic împotriva lui, ci vei cădea înaintea lui.”

And Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him. Then his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him, “If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of the Jewish people, you will not overcome him but will surely fall before him.”

És amíg így beszéltek vele, eljöttek a király udvarmesterei, és siettek Hámánt a lakomára vinni, amelyet Eszter készített.

És a míg így beszélének vele, eljövének a király udvarmesterei, és siettek Hámánt a lakomára vinni, a melyet készített vala Eszter.

And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.

Pe când îi vorbeau ei încă, au venit famenii împăratului şi au luat îndată pe Haman la ospăţul pe care-l pregătise Estera.

While they were yet talking with him, the king’s eunuchs arrived and hurried to bring Haman to the feast that Esther had prepared.
