A király és Hámán elment a lakomára Eszter királynéhoz.

És elméne a király és Hámán a lakomára, Eszter királynéhoz.

So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.

Împăratul şi Haman s-au dus la ospăţ la împărăteasa Estera.

So the king and Haman went in to feast with Queen Esther.

A második napon újra megkérdezte a király Esztert borivás közben: Mi a kívánságod, Eszter királyné? Megkapod! Mi a kérésed? Ha az ország fele is, meglesz.

És monda a király Eszternek másodnapon is, borivás közben: Mi a te kivánságod Eszter királyné? Megadatik. És micsoda a te kérésed? Ha az országnak fele is, meglészen.

And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.

În această a doua zi, împăratul a zis iarăşi Esterei pe când beau vin: „Care este cererea ta, împărăteasă Estero? Ea îţi va fi împlinită. Ce doreşti? Chiar dacă ai cere jumătate din împărăţie, o vei căpăta.”

And on the second day, as they were drinking wine after the feast, the king again said to Esther, “What is your wish, Queen Esther? It shall be granted you. And what is your request? Even to the half of my kingdom, it shall be fulfilled.”

Eszter királyné így felelt: Ha kegyelmet találtam szemed előtt, ó, király, és ha a királynak tetszik, akkor kívánságomra add nekem az életemet, és kérésemre add nekem a népemet.

És felele Eszter királyné, és monda: Ha kegyet találtam szemeid előtt, oh király! és ha a királynak tetszik, add meg nékem életemet kivánságomra, és nemzetségemet kérésemre.

Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:

Împărăteasa Estera a răspuns: „Dacă am căpătat trecere înaintea ta, împărate, şi dacă găseşte cu cale împăratul, dă-mi viaţa: iată cererea mea; şi scapă pe poporul meu: iată dorinţa mea!

Then Queen Esther answered, “If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be granted me for my wish, and my people for my request.

Mert eladtak engem és népemet, hogy kipusztítsanak, megöljenek és megsemmisítsenek minket. Ha csak szolgákul vagy szolgálókul adtak volna el, akkor hallgatnék, mivel ilyen szorongattatás miatt nem illene zaklatnom a királyt.

Mert eladattunk, én és az én nemzetségem, hogy kipusztítsanak, megöljenek és megsemmisítsenek minket; ha csak szolgákul, vagy szolgálókul adattunk volna el, akkor hallgatnék, jóllehet az ellenség nem adna kárpótlást a király veszteségéért.

For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.

Căci eu şi poporul meu suntem vânduţi să fim nimiciţi, înjunghiaţi şi prăpădiţi. Măcar dacă am fi vânduţi să fim robi şi roabe, aş tăcea, dar vrăjmaşul n-ar putea să înlocuiască pierderea făcută împăratului.”

For we have been sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be annihilated. If we had been sold merely as slaves, men and women, I would have been silent, for our affliction is not to be compared with the loss to the king.”

Erre Ahasvérós király megkérdezte Eszter királynét: Ki az, és hol van az, akit szíve erre vitt, hogy így cselekedjen?

És szóla Ahasvérus király, és monda Eszternek, a királynénak: Ki az és hol van az, a kit az ő szíve erre vitt, hogy azt cselekedné?

Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?

Împăratul Ahaşveroş a luat cuvântul şi a zis împărătesei Estera: „Cine şi unde este acela care are de gând să facă aşa?”

Then King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther, “Who is he, and where is he, who has dared to do this?”

Eszter így felelt: Ez a gonosz Hámán, az ellenségünk és gyűlölőnk! Akkor Hámán megrettent a király és a királyné előtt.

És monda Eszter: Az ellenség és gyűlölő, ez a gonosz Hámán! Akkor Hámán megrettene a király és királyné előtt.

And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

Estera a răspuns: „Apăsătorul, vrăjmaşul este Haman, răul acesta!” Haman a rămas îngrozit în faţa împăratului şi a împărătesei.

And Esther said, “A foe and enemy! This wicked Haman!” Then Haman was terrified before the king and the queen.

A király pedig haragjában fölkelt a bor mellől, és a palotakertbe ment. Hámán pedig ott maradt, hogy az életéért könyörögjön Eszter királynénak, mert látta, hogy a király részéről elvégzett dolog az ő veszte.

A király pedig felkele haragjában a borivástól [és méne] a palotakertbe; Hámán pedig ott maradt, hogy életéért könyörögjön Eszter királynénál; mert látta, hogy a király részéről elvégeztetett az ő veszte.

And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

Şi împăratul, în mânia lui, s-a sculat şi a părăsit ospăţul, şi s-a dus în grădina casei împărăteşti. Haman a rămas să-şi ceară viaţa de la împărăteasa Estera, căci vedea bine că pierderea lui era hotărâtă în mintea împăratului.

And the king arose in his wrath from the wine-drinking and went into the palace garden, but Haman stayed to beg for his life from Queen Esther, for he saw that harm was determined against him by the king.

Amikor a király visszatért a palota kertjéből abba a házba, ahol a borivás folyt, Hámán éppen a kerevetre borult, amelyen Eszter volt. Akkor azt mondta a király: Talán még erőszakot is el akar követni a királynén nálam, a palotában?! Amint elhagyta ez a szó a király ajkát, Hámán arcát befedték.

És mikor a király visszatért a palota kertjéből a borivás házába, Hámán a kerevetre esék, a melyen Eszter vala. Akkor monda a király: Erőszakot is akar elkövetni a királynén én nálam a házban?! A mint e szó kijött a király szájából, Hámán arczát befedék.

Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.

Când s-a întors împăratul din grădina casei împărăteşti în odaia ospăţului, a văzut pe Haman că se aruncase spre patul pe care era Estera şi i-a zis: „Cum, să mai şi sileşti pe împărăteasă, la mine, în casa împărătească?” Cum au ieşit cuvintele acestea din gura împăratului, i-au şi acoperit faţa lui Haman.

And the king returned from the palace garden to the place where they were drinking wine, as Haman was falling on the couch where Esther was. And the king said, “Will he even assault the queen in my presence, in my own house?” As the word left the mouth of the king, they covered Haman’s face.

Akkor azt mondta Harbóná, az udvarmesterek egyike a királynak: Íme, van egy fa is, amelyet Hámán készített Mordokajnak, aki pedig a király javára szólt. Ott áll Hámán házánál, ötvenkönyöknyi magas. A király azt mondta: Őt magát akasszátok föl rá!

És monda Harbona, az udvarmesterek egyike a király előtt: Ímé a fa is, a melyet készített Hámán Márdokeusnak, a ki a király javára szólott vala, ott áll Hámán házában, ötven könyöknyi magas. És monda a király: Akasszátok őt magát reá!

And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

Şi Harbona, unul din fameni, a zis în faţa împăratului: „Iată, spânzurătoarea pregătită de Haman pentru Mardoheu, care a vorbit spre binele împăratului, este ridicată în casa lui Haman, la o înălţime de cincizeci de coţi.” Împăratul a zis: „Haman să fie spânzurat pe ea!”

Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs in attendance on the king, said, “Moreover, the gallows that Haman has prepared for Mordecai, whose word saved the king, is standing at Haman’s house, fifty cubits high.” And the king said, “Hang him on that.”

Fölakasztották tehát Hámánt a fára, amelyet ő Mordokajnak készített, és megszűnt a király haragja.

Felakaszták azért Hámánt a fára, a melyet készített Márdokeusnak, és megszünék a király haragja.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.

Şi au spânzurat pe Haman pe spânzurătoarea pe care o pregătise el pentru Mardoheu. Şi mânia împăratului s-a potolit.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the wrath of the king abated.
