After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.

După aceste lucruri, când s-a potolit mânia împăratului Ahaşveroş, s-a gândit la Vasti, la ce făcuse ea şi la hotărârea luată cu privire la ea.

After these things, when the anger of King Ahasuerus had abated, he remembered Vashti and what she had done and what had been decreed against her.

A király apródai pedig, akik őt szolgálták, azt mondták: Keressenek a királynak szép termetű szűz leányokat.

Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:

Atunci cei ce slujeau împăratului au zis: „Să se caute pentru împărat nişte fete fecioare şi frumoase.

Then the king’s young men who attended him said, “Let beautiful young virgins be sought out for the king.

Rendeljen a király tiszttartókat országa minden tartományába, hogy gyűjtsenek össze minden szép termetű szűz leányt Súsán várába, az asszonyok palotájába. Bízzák őket Hégajnak, a király kamarásának, az asszonyok őrzőjének a kezére, és adjanak nekik szépítőszereket.

És rendeljen a király tiszteket országának minden tartományába, a kik gyűjtsenek össze minden szép ábrázatú szűz leányt Susán várába, az asszonyok házába, Hégainak, a király kamarásának, az asszonyok őrzőjének keze alá, és adjanak nékik szépítő szereket.

And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the fair young virgins unto Shushan the palace, to the house of the women, unto the custody of Hege the king's chamberlain, keeper of the women; and let their things for purification be given them:

Împăratul să pună în toate ţinuturile din împărăţia lui dregători însărcinaţi să strângă pe toate fetele fecioare şi frumoase, în capitala Susa, în casa femeilor, sub privegherea lui Hegai, famenul împăratului şi păzitorul femeilor, care să le dea cele trebuincioase pentru gătit.

And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom to gather all the beautiful young virgins to the harem in Susa the citadel, under custody of Hegai, the king’s eunuch, who is in charge of the women. Let their cosmetics be given them.

És az a leány uralkodjon Vasti helyett, aki tetszik a királynak. Tetszett ez a dolog a királynak, és úgy cselekedett.

And let the maiden which pleaseth the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.

Şi fata care-i va plăcea împăratului să fie împărăteasă în locul Vastiei.” Părerea aceasta a fost primită de împărat, şi aşa a făcut.

And let the young woman who pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti.” This pleased the king, and he did so.

Volt egy zsidó férfi Súsán várában, név szerint Mordokaj, Jáír fia, aki Simei fia, aki Kís fia volt, Benjámin nemzetségéből.

Vala egy zsidó férfiú Susán várában, a kinek neve Márdokeus, Jáirnak fia, a ki Simei fia, a ki Kis fia, Benjámin nemzetségéből,

Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;

În capitala Susa era un iudeu, numit Mardoheu, fiul lui Iair, fiul lui Şimei, fiul lui Chis, bărbat din Beniamin,

Now there was a Jew in Susa the citadel whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, son of Shimei, son of Kish, a Benjaminite,

Fogságba vitték Jeruzsálemből a száműzött néppel, amelyet Jekonjával, Júda királyával hurcoltak el, amikor rabságba vitte őket Nebukadneccar babilóniai király.

A ki Jeruzsálemből fogva vitetett el a száműzött néppel, a mely elvitetett Jekóniással, Júda királyával együtt, a kit rabságba vitt el Nabukodonozor, babilóniai király.

Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.

care fusese luat din Ierusalim printre robii strămutaţi împreună cu Ieconia, împăratul lui Iuda, de Nebucadneţar, împăratul Babilonului.

who had been carried away from Jerusalem among the captives carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away.

Ő volt a gondviselője Hadasszának, azaz Eszternek, nagybátyja leányának, mert sem apja, sem anyja nem volt. A leány szép termetű és szép ábrázatú volt, és amikor meghalt az apja és az anyja, Mordokaj leánya gyanánt magához fogadta.

És ez gondviselője volt Hadassának, azaz Eszternek az ő nagybátyja leányának; mert sem atyja, sem anyja nem volt, és a leány szép alakú és szép ábrázatú vala, s mikor meghalt az ő atyja és anyja, Márdokeus leánya gyanánt magához fogadá.

And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.

El creştea pe Hadasa, adică Estera, fata unchiului său; căci ea n-avea nici tată, nici mamă. Fata era frumoasă la statură şi plăcută la vedere. După moartea tatălui şi a mamei sale, Mardoheu o luase de suflet.

He was bringing up Hadassah, that is Esther, the daughter of his uncle, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman had a beautiful figure and was lovely to look at, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter.

Amikor a király parancsát és rendeletét kihirdették, sok leányt gyűjtöttek össze Súsán várába, és Hégaj kezére bízták őket. Esztert is fölvették a király palotájába és Hégajnak, az asszonyok őrének a kezére bízták.

Lőn pedig, mikor a király parancsa és rendelete kihirdettetett és sok leány gyűjtetett Susán várába, Hégai keze alá, akkor felvétetett Eszter is a király házába, Hégainak, az asszonyok őrének keze alá.

So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.

Când s-a auzit porunca împăratului şi hotărârea lui, au fost strânse un mare număr de fete în capitala Susa, sub privegherea lui Hegai. Odată cu ele a fost luată şi Estera şi adusă în casa împăratului, sub privegherea lui Hegai, păzitorul femeilor.

So when the king’s order and his edict were proclaimed, and when many young women were gathered in Susa the citadel in custody of Hegai, Esther also was taken into the king’s palace and put in custody of Hegai, who had charge of the women.

Megtetszett neki a leány, és megkedvelte, ezért azonnal szépítőszerekkel és jó ételekkel látta el őt. Adott mellé hét leányzót, akiket a király palotájából választott ki, és őt és szolgálóleányait az asszonyok palotájának legjobb részébe vitte.

És tetszett a leány az ő szemeinek és kegyébe fogadá, és siete néki szépítő szereket adni, és kiadni az ő részét és hét leányzót, a kit néki a király házából kelle kiszemelni, és vivé őt és az ő szolgálóleányait az asszonyok legjobb házába.

And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.

Fata i-a plăcut şi a căpătat trecere înaintea lui. El s-a grăbit să-i dea cele de trebuinţă pentru găteală şi hrană, i-a dat şapte slujnice alese din casa împăratului şi a pus-o împreună cu slujnicele ei în cea mai bună încăpere din casa femeilor.

And the young woman pleased him and won his favor. And he quickly provided her with her cosmetics and her portion of food, and with seven chosen young women from the king’s palace, and advanced her and her young women to the best place in the harem.

Eszter azonban nem árulta el a származását, és hogy melyik néphez tartozik, mert Mordokaj meghagyta neki, hogy ne mondja meg.

Meg nem mondá Eszter az ő nemzetségét és származását; mert Márdokeus meghagyta néki, hogy meg ne mondja.

Esther had not shewed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not shew it.

Estera nu şi-a făcut cunoscut nici poporul, nici naşterea, căci Mardoheu o oprise să vorbească despre aceste lucruri.

Esther had not made known her people or kindred, for Mordecai had commanded her not to make it known.

Mordokaj pedig mindennap az asszonyok palotájának udvara előtt járkált, hogy tudakozódjék Eszter hogyléte felől és arról, hogy mi történik vele.

Márdokeus pedig minden nap járt az asszonyok házának pitvara előtt, hogy tudakozódjék Eszter hogyléte felől, és hogy mi történik vele.

And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women's house, to know how Esther did, and what should become of her.

Şi în fiecare zi Mardoheu se ducea şi venea înaintea curţii casei femeilor ca să afle cum îi merge Esterei şi ce se face cu ea.

And every day Mordecai walked in front of the court of the harem to learn how Esther was and what was happening to her.

Minden leányra akkor került sor, hogy bemenjen Ahasvérós királyhoz, miután az asszonyokra vonatkozó törvény szerint letelt a tizenkét hónapig tartó előkészület. Ennyi időbe telt ugyanis a szépítésük, hat hónapig mirtuszolajjal és hat hónapig illatszerekkel és más női szépítőszerekkel.

Mikor pedig eljött az ideje minden leánynak, hogy bemenne Ahasvérus királyhoz, miután asszonyok törvénye szerint tizenkét hónapig bántak vele (mert ennyi időbe telik az ő szépítésök, hat hónapig mirtusolajjal és hat hónapig illatos szerekkel és asszonyi szépítő szerekkel):

Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)

Fiecare fată se ducea la rândul ei la împăratul Ahaşveroş, după ce timp de douăsprezece luni împlinea ce era poruncit femeilor. În timpul acesta, aveau grijă să se gătească, ungându-se şase luni cu untdelemn de mirt, şi şase luni, cu miresme de mirozne femeieşti.

Now when the turn came for each young woman to go in to King Ahasuerus, after being twelve months under the regulations for the women, since this was the regular period of their beautifying, six months with oil of myrrh and six months with spices and ointments for women—

Így ment be mindegyik leány a királyhoz. Mindent, amit csak kívánt, megadtak neki, hogy azzal mehessen az asszonyok palotájából a király palotájába.

Akkor így ment a leány a királyhoz: Mindent, a mit kivánt, megadtak néki, hogy menjen azzal az asszonyok házából a király házáig;

Then thus came every maiden unto the king; whatsoever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women unto the king's house.

when the young woman went in to the king in this way, she was given whatever she desired to take with her from the harem to the king’s palace.

Este bement, és reggel visszatért az asszonyok másik palotájába, és Saasgaznak, a király udvarmesterének, a másodfeleségek őrzőjének a kezére bízták. Nem mehetett többé a királyhoz, csak ha megkedvelte őt a király, és név szerint hívták.

Este bement és reggel visszatért az asszonyok második házába, Sahásgáznak, a király udvarmesterének, a hálótársak őrzőjének kezei alá; nem jött többé a királyhoz, csak ha kivánta őt a király, és nevén hívták.

In the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name.

Se ducea seara; şi a doua zi dimineaţa trecea în a doua casă a femeilor, sub privegherea lui Şaaşgaz, famenul împăratului şi păzitorul ţiitoarelor împăratului. Nu se mai întorcea la împărat, decât când ar fi dorit împăratul şi ar fi chemat-o pe nume.

In the evening she would go in, and in the morning she would return to the second harem in custody of Shaashgaz, the king’s eunuch, who was in charge of the concubines. She would not go in to the king again, unless the king delighted in her and she was summoned by name.

Amikor Eszterre, Abihailnak, Mordokaj nagybátyjának a leányára került a sor, akit ő leányává fogadott, és be kellett mennie a királyhoz, ő nem kívánt mást, mint amit Hégaj, a király udvarmestere, az asszonyok őrzője mondott neki. Eszter mindenkinek tetszett, aki csak látta őt.

Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.

Când i-a venit rândul să se ducă la împărat, Estera, fata lui Abihail, unchiul lui Mardoheu, care o înfiase, n-a cerut decât ce a fost rânduit de Hegai, famenul împăratului şi păzitorul femeilor. Estera căpăta trecere înaintea tuturor celor ce o vedeau.

When the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his own daughter, to go in to the king, she asked for nothing except what Hegai the king’s eunuch, who had charge of the women, advised. Now Esther was winning favor in the eyes of all who saw her.

Fölvitték tehát Esztert Ahasvéróshoz a király palotájába a király uralkodásának a hetedik évében, a tizedik hónapban, ez a Tébét hónap.

So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.

Estera a fost dusă la împăratul Ahaşveroş, în casa împărătească, în luna a zecea, adică luna Tebet, în al şaptelea an al domniei lui.

And when Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign,

És a király Esztert minden asszonynál jobban szerette. Minden más leánynál jobban tetszésére és kedvére volt, ezért a királyi koronát az ő fejére helyezte, és királynévá tette Vasti helyett.

És a király Esztert minden asszonynál inkább szereté, és minden leánynál nagyobb kedvet és kegyelmet nyert ő előtte, és tette a királyi koronát az ő fejére, és királynévá tette Vásti helyett.

And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Împăratul a iubit pe Estera mai mult decât pe toate celelalte femei, şi ea a căpătat trecere şi iubire înaintea lui mai mult decât toate celelalte fete. I-a pus cununa împărătească pe cap şi a făcut-o împărăteasă în locul Vastiei.

the king loved Esther more than all the women, and she won grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

És a király nagy lakomát adott összes fejedelmének és szolgájának Eszter tiszteletére. A tartományoknak pihenőnapokat adott, és királyi módon ajándékokat osztogatott.

És nagy lakomát adott a király minden ő fejedelmének és szolgáinak, az Eszter lakomáját, és a tartományoknak nyugalmat adott, és ajándékokat osztogata király módjára.

Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther's feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.

Împăratul a dat un mare ospăţ tuturor domnitorilor şi slujitorilor lui, un ospăţ în cinstea Esterei. Cu prilejul acesta a uşurat sarcinile ţinuturilor şi a împărţit daruri cu o dărnicie împărătească.

Then the king gave a great feast for all his officials and servants; it was Esther’s feast. He also granted a remission of taxes to the provinces and gave gifts with royal generosity.

Amikor másodszor gyűjtöttek össze szüzeket, Mordokaj a királyi kapunál ült.

És mikor összegyűjték a szűzeket másodszor, Márdokeus üle a király kapujában.

And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the king's gate.

A doua oară când s-au strâns fetele, Mardoheu şedea la poarta împăratului.

Now when the virgins were gathered together the second time, Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate.

Eszter nem mondta meg sem a származását, sem azt, hogy melyik néphez tartozik, úgy, ahogy Mordokaj parancsolta neki. Mert Mordokaj szavát Eszter éppúgy megfogadta, mint amikor még a gyámja volt.

És Eszter nem mondá meg sem származását, sem nemzetségét, miképen megparancsolá néki Márdokeus; mert Márdokeus szavát Eszter úgy fogadá, mint mikor gyámja volt.

Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him.

Estera nu-şi spusese nici naşterea, nici poporul, căci o oprise Mardoheu. Şi ea urma acum poruncile lui Mardoheu cu tot atâta scumpătate ca atunci când o creştea el.

Esther had not made known her kindred or her people, as Mordecai had commanded her, for Esther obeyed Mordecai just as when she was brought up by him.

Azokban a napokban pedig, amikor Mordokaj a királyi kapunál ült, megharagudott Bigtán és Teres, a király két udvarmestere, a kapuőrei, és elhatározták, hogy kezet emelnek Ahasvérós királyra.

Azokban a napokban pedig, mikor Márdokeus üle a király kapujában, megharagudott Bigtán és Téres, a király két udvarmestere, a kapu őrei, és azon voltak, hogy rávetik kezeiket Ahasvérus királyra.

In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hands on the king Ahasuerus.

În acelaşi timp, pe când Mardoheu stătea la poarta împăratului, Bigtan şi Tereş, doi fameni ai împăratului, păzitorii pragului, s-au lăsat biruiţi de o supărare şi au vrut să întindă mâna împotriva împăratului Ahaşveroş.

In those days, as Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, who guarded the threshold, became angry and sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.

Megtudta ezt Mordokaj, és elmondta Eszter királynénak, Eszter pedig elmondta a királynak Mordokaj nevében.

Tudtára esett e dolog Márdokeusnak, és megmondá Eszter királynénak, és Eszter elmondá a királynak Márdokeus nevében.

And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name.

Mardoheu a avut cunoştinţă de lucrul acesta şi a dat de ştire împărătesei Estera, care l-a spus împăratului din partea lui Mardoheu.

And this came to the knowledge of Mordecai, and he told it to Queen Esther, and Esther told the king in the name of Mordecai.

Kivizsgálták a dolgot, és igaznak találták, ezért mindkettőt felakasztották. Föl is jegyezték ezt a király jelenlétében a Krónikák könyvébe.

És megvizsgálták a dolgot és úgy találták, és mind a kettőt fára akasztották. És megírattaték a krónikák könyvébe a király előtt.

And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.

Faptul fiind cercetat şi găsit întocmai, cei doi fameni au fost spânzuraţi de un lemn. Şi lucrul acesta a fost scris în cartea Cronicilor, în faţa împăratului.

When the affair was investigated and found to be so, the men were both hanged on the gallows. And it was recorded in the book of the chronicles in the presence of the king.
