Amikor Mordokaj megtudta mindazt, ami történt, megszaggatta ruháit, zsákba és hamuba öltözött, kiment a város közepére, és nagy keservesen jajveszékelt.

Márdokeus pedig megtudta mindazt, a mi történt; és Márdokeus megszaggatá ruháit, zsákba és hamuba öltözék, és a város közepére méne [és ]kiálta nagy és keserves kiáltással.

When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;

Mardoheu, aflând tot ce se petrecea, şi-a sfâşiat hainele, s-a îmbrăcat cu un sac şi s-a presărat cu cenuşă. Apoi s-a dus în mijlocul cetăţii, scoţând cu putere strigăte amare,

When Mordecai learned all that had been done, Mordecai tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and he cried out with a loud and bitter cry.

A király kapujáig ment, mert zsákruhában nem volt szabad bemenni a király kapuján.

És eljött a királynak kapuja elé; mert nem volt szabad bemenni a király kapuján zsákruhában.

And came even before the king's gate: for none might enter into the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.

şi a mers până la poarta împăratului, a cărei intrare era oprită oricui era îmbrăcat cu un sac.

He went up to the entrance of the king’s gate, for no one was allowed to enter the king’s gate clothed in sackcloth.

Minden egyes tartományban, ahová csak eljutott a király parancsa és törvénye, nagy gyászuk volt a zsidóknak: böjt, siralom és jajgatás. Sokan zsákruhában és hamuban feküdtek.

És minden egyes tartományban, azon helyen, a hová a király parancsa és törvénye eljutott, nagy gyásza volt a zsidóknak, bőjt és siralom és jajgatás; zsák és hamu vala terítve sokak alá.

And in every province, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

În fiecare ţinut unde ajungea porunca împăratului şi hotărârea lui a fost o mare jale printre iudei; posteau, plângeau şi se boceau, şi mulţi se culcau în sac şi cenuşă.

And in every province, wherever the king’s command and his decree reached, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting and weeping and lamenting, and many of them lay in sackcloth and ashes.

Ekkor bementek Eszterhez a szolgálóleányai és az udvarmesterei, és megmondták ezt neki. A királyné nagyon megszomorodott, és ruhákat küldött, hogy öltöztessék föl Mordokajt, és vegyék le róla a zsákruhát; de ő nem fogadta el.

So Esther's maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.

When Esther’s young women and her eunuchs came and told her, the queen was deeply distressed. She sent garments to clothe Mordecai, so that he might take off his sackcloth, but he would not accept them.

Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king's chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.

Then Esther called for Hathach, one of the king’s eunuchs, who had been appointed to attend her, and ordered him to go to Mordecai to learn what this was and why it was.

Erre Haták kiment Mordokajhoz a város utcájára, a király kapuja elé.

Kiméne tehát Haták Márdokeushoz a város utczájára, mely a király kapuja előtt vala.

So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king's gate.

Hatac s-a dus la Mardoheu în locul deschis al cetăţii, înaintea porţii împăratului.

Hathach went out to Mordecai in the open square of the city in front of the king’s gate,

Mordokaj pedig elmondta neki mindazt, ami érte, és szólt az ezüst összegéről is, amelyet Hámán ígért, hogy a király kincséhez teszi a zsidók elpusztításáért.

És elmondá néki Márdokeus mindazt, a mi érte őt, és az ezüst összegét, a melyet Hámán mondott, hogy juttat a király kincséhez a zsidókért, hogy elvesztessenek.

And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king's treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.

Şi Mardoheu i-a istorisit tot ce i se întâmplase şi i-a spus suma de argint pe care făgăduise Haman că o va da vistieriei împăratului în schimbul măcelăririi iudeilor.

and Mordecai told him all that had happened to him, and the exact sum of money that Haman had promised to pay into the king’s treasuries for the destruction of the Jews.

Átadta neki a rendelet írott szövegét is, amelyet Súsánban adtak ki arról, hogy eltöröljék őket, hogy mutassa meg Eszternek, és magyarázza meg és hagyja meg neki, hogy menjen be a királyhoz, könyörögjön hozzá, és esedezzen előtte népéért.

Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.

I-a dat şi cuprinsul poruncii vestite în Susa în vederea nimicirii lor, ca s-o arate Esterei şi să-i spună totul. Şi a poruncit ca Estera să se ducă la împărat să-l roage şi să stăruie de el pentru poporul său.

Mordecai also gave him a copy of the written decree issued in Susa for their destruction, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her and command her to go to the king to beg his favor and plead with him on behalf of her people.

Haták tehát elment, és elmondta Eszternek Mordokaj szavait.

And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.

And Hathach went and told Esther what Mordecai had said.

Eszter ezt válaszolta Hatáknak, meghagyva neki, hogy tudassa Mordokajjal:

És monda Eszter Hatáknak, és meghagyá néki, hogy [tudassa ]Márdokeussal:

Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;

Estera a însărcinat pe Hatac să se ducă să spună lui Mardoheu:

Then Esther spoke to Hathach and commanded him to go to Mordecai and say,

A király minden szolgája és a király tartományainak népe tudja, hogy minden férfi és asszony, aki hívatlanul megy be a királyhoz a belső udvarba, az mind halállal lakol, kivéve ha a király kinyújtja feléje aranypálcáját: akkor életben marad. Engem pedig már harminc napja nem hívtak, hogy bemenjek a királyhoz.

A király minden szolgája és a király tartományainak népe tudja, hogy minden férfinak és asszonynak, a ki bemegy a királyhoz a belső udvarba hivatlanul, egy a törvénye, hogy megölettessék, kivévén, a kire a király aranypálczáját kinyujtja, az él; én pedig nem hívattam, hogy a királyhoz bemenjek, már harmincz napja.

All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.

„Toţi slujitorii împăratului şi poporul din ţinuturile împăratului ştiu că este o lege care pedepseşte cu moartea pe oricine, fie bărbat, fie femeie, care intră la împărat, în curtea dinăuntru, fără să fie chemat. Numai acela scapă cu viaţă căruia îi întinde împăratul toiagul lui împărătesc de aur. Şi eu n-am fost chemată la împărat de treizeci de zile.”

“All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that if any man or woman goes to the king inside the inner court without being called, there is but one law—to be put to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter so that he may live. But as for me, I have not been called to come in to the king these thirty days.”

Megmondták Mordokajnak Eszter szavait.

És megmondák Márdokeusnak Eszter szavait.

And they told to Mordecai Esther's words.

Când s-au spus cuvintele Esterei lui Mardoheu,

And they told Mordecai what Esther had said.

Mordokaj azonban ezt üzente vissza Eszternek: Ne gondold magadban, hogy te a király palotájában megmenekülhetsz a többi zsidó közül.

És monda Márdokeus visszaüzenve Eszternek: Ne gondold magadban, hogy te a király házában megmenekülhetsz a többi zsidó közül.

Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews.

Mardoheu a trimis următorul răspuns Esterei: „Să nu-ţi închipui că numai tu vei scăpa dintre toţi iudeii, pentru că eşti în casa împăratului.

Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews.

Mert ha te most hallgatsz, más módon lesz enyhülésük és szabadulásuk a zsidóknak, te viszont elveszel, és atyád háza is elveszik. És ki tudja, talán éppen e mostani idő miatt jutottál királyságra!

Mert ha e mostani időben te hallgatsz, másunnan lészen könnyebbségök és szabadulások a zsidóknak; te pedig és atyád háza elvesztek. És ki tudja, talán e mostani időért jutottál királyságra?

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Căci, dacă vei tăcea acum, ajutorul şi izbăvirea vor veni din altă parte pentru iudei, şi tu şi casa tatălui tău veţi pieri. Şi cine ştie dacă nu pentru o vreme ca aceasta ai ajuns la împărăţie?”

For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

És monda Eszter visszaüzenve Márdokeusnak:

Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,

Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai,

Menj el, és gyűjts össze minden zsidót, aki Súsánban található. Böjtöljetek értem, ne egyetek és ne igyatok három napig sem éjjel, sem nappal. Én és szolgálóleányaim is így böjtölünk, és így megyek be a királyhoz, a törvény ellenére is. És ha elveszek, hát elveszek.

Menj el és gyűjts egybe minden zsidót, a ki Susánban találtatik, és bőjtöljetek érettem és ne egyetek és ne igyatok három napig se éjjel se nappal, én is és leányaim így bőjtölünk és ekképen megyek be a királyhoz, noha törvény ellenére; ha azután elveszek, hát elveszek.

Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

„Du-te, strânge pe toţi iudeii care se află în Susa şi postiţi pentru mine, fără să mâncaţi, nici să beţi, trei zile, nici noaptea, nici ziua. Şi eu voi posti odată cu slujnicele mele; apoi voi intra la împărat, în ciuda legii; şi, dacă va fi să pier, voi pieri.”

“Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.”

Mordokaj elment, és úgy cselekedett mindent, ahogy Eszter parancsolta.

So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.

Mardoheu a plecat şi a făcut tot ce-i poruncise Estera.

Mordecai then went away and did everything as Esther had ordered him.
