A Lélek pedig nyilván mondja, hogy az utolsó időben némelyek elszakadnak a hittől, hitető lelkekre és gonosz lelkek tanításaira figyelmezvén.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Dar Duhul spune lămurit că, în vremurile din urmă, unii se vor lepăda de credinţă, ca să se alipească de duhuri înşelătoare şi de învăţăturile dracilor,

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared,

akik ellenzik a házasságot és bizonyos ételek élvezését, amelyeket Isten azért teremtett, hogy a hívők és akik megismerték az igazságot, hálaadással részesedjenek belőlük.

A kik tiltják a házasságot, [sürgetik] az eledelektől való tartózkodást, melyeket Isten teremtett hálaadással való élvezésre a hívőknek és azoknak, a kik megismerték az igazságot.

Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,

Ha ezeket megosztod a testvérekkel, Krisztus Jézus jó szolgája leszel, mivel az általad követett hit és a jó tudomány beszéde táplál téged.

Ezeket ha eleikbe adod az atyafiaknak, Krisztus Jézusnak jó szolgája leszel, táplálkozván a hitnek és jó tudománynak beszédeivel, a melyet követtél;

If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

Dacă vei pune în mintea fraţilor aceste lucruri, vei fi un bun slujitor al lui Hristos Isus, fiindcă te hrăneşti cu cuvintele credinţei şi ale bunei învăţături pe care ai urmat-o până acum.

If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed.

A szentségtelen és vénasszonyos meséket pedig vesd el. A kegyességben gyakorold magadat,

A szentségtelen és vénasszonyos meséket pedig eltávoztasd. Hanem gyakorold magadat a kegyességre:

But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

Fereşte-te de basmele lumeşti şi băbeşti. Caută să fii evlavios.

Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness;

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Căci deprinderea trupească este de puţin folos, pe când evlavia este folositoare în orice privinţă, întrucât ea are făgăduinţa vieţii de acum şi a celei viitoare.

for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

Iată un cuvânt adevărat şi cu totul vrednic de primit!

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance.

Azért fáradunk és küzdünk, mert reménységünket az élő Istenbe vetettük, aki minden ember megtartója, kiváltképpen a hívőké.

Mert azért fáradunk és szenvedünk szidalmakat, mivelhogy reménységünket vetettük az élő Istenben, a ki minden embernek megtartója, kiváltképen a hívőknek.

For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Noi muncim, în adevăr, şi ne luptăm, pentru că ne-am pus nădejdea în Dumnezeul cel Viu, care este Mântuitorul tuturor oamenilor, şi mai ales al celor credincioşi.

For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

Senki meg ne vesse a te ifjúságodat, hanem légy példa a hívőknek a beszédben, magaviseletben, szeretetben, hitben és tisztaságban.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Nimeni să nu-ţi dispreţuiască tinereţea; ci fii o pildă pentru credincioşi: în vorbire, în purtare, în dragoste, în credinţă, în curăţie.

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

Ne hanyagold el a benned levő kegyelmi ajándékot, amelyet prófétálás által, a vének kézrátételével kaptál.

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Nu fi nepăsător de darul care este în tine, care ţi-a fost dat prin prorocie, cu punerea mâinilor de către ceata prezbiterilor.

Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you.

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Pune-ţi pe inimă aceste lucruri, îndeletniceşte-te în totul cu ele, pentru ca înaintarea ta să fie văzută de toţi.

Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.

Vigyázz magadra és a tanításra, maradj meg azokban, mert ha ezt teszed, magadat is, és hallgatóidat is megmented.

Gondot viselj magadról és a tudományról; maradj meg azokban; mert ezt cselekedvén, mind magadat megtartod, mind a te hallgatóidat.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Fii cu luare aminte asupra ta însuţi şi asupra învăţăturii pe care o dai altora; stăruie în aceste lucruri, căci, dacă vei face aşa, te vei mântui pe tine însuţi şi pe cei ce te ascultă.

Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.
