Mindenekelőtt arra kérlek, hogy tartsatok könyörgéseket, imádságokat, esedezéseket és hálaadásokat minden emberért,

Intelek azért mindenek előtt, hogy tartassanak könyörgések, imádságok, esedezések, hálaadások minden emberekért,

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

Vă îndemn, dar, înainte de toate, să faceţi rugăciuni, cereri, mijlociri, mulţumiri pentru toţi oamenii,

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

pentru împăraţi şi pentru toţi cei ce sunt înălţaţi în dregătorii, ca să putem duce astfel o viaţă paşnică şi liniştită, cu toată evlavia şi cu toată cinstea.

for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

Ezért rendelt el engem hírnöknek és apostolnak – az igazat mondom, nem hazudok –, a pogányok tanítójának hitben és igazságban.

A mi végett rendeltettem én hirdetővé és apostollá (igazságot szólok a Krisztusban, nem hazudok), pogányok tanítójává hitben és igazságban.

Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

şi propovăduitorul şi apostolul Lui am fost pus eu – spun adevărul în Hristos, nu mint – ca să învăţ pe Neamuri credinţa şi adevărul.

For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Azt akarom tehát, hogy a férfiak imádkozzanak minden helyen, tiszta kezeket emelve fel harag és kételkedés nélkül.

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire,

hanem jó cselekedetekkel, amint illik az istenfélelemben járó asszonyokhoz.

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Femeii nu-i dau voie să înveţe pe alţii, nici să se ridice mai presus de bărbat, ci să stea în tăcere.

I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Şi nu Adam a fost amăgit; ci femeia, fiind amăgită, s-a făcut vinovată de călcarea poruncii.

and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Totuşi ea va fi mântuită prin naşterea de fii, dacă stăruie cu smerenie în credinţă, în dragoste şi în sfinţenie.

Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.
