Ilyen dolgot láttatott velem az én Istenem, az ÚR: Íme, egy kosár érett gyümölcs.

Ily dolgot láttatott velem az Úr Isten: Ímé, egy kosár érett gyümölcs.

Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit.

Domnul Dumnezeu mi-a trimis următoarea vedenie: Iată, era un coş cu poame coapte.

This is what the Lord GOD showed me: behold, a basket of summer fruit.

És azt kérdezte: Mit látsz, Ámósz? Azt válaszoltam: Egy kosár érett gyümölcsöt. Ekkor azt mondta nekem az ÚR: Eljött a vég népemre, Izráelre, többé nem bocsátok meg neki.

És mondá: Mit látsz Ámós? És mondám: Egy kosár érett gyümölcsöt. És mondá az Úr nékem: Eljött vége az én népemnek, az Izráelnek; nem bocsátok meg néki többé!

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

El a zis: „Ce vezi, Amos?” Eu am răspuns: „Un coş cu poame coapte.” Şi Domnul mi-a zis: „A venit sfârşitul poporului Meu, Israel; nu-l mai pot ierta!

And he said, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A basket of summer fruit.” Then the LORD said to me, “The end has come upon my people Israel; I will never again pass by them.

Azon a napon jajgatássá változnak a templomi énekek, így szól az én Istenem, az ÚR. Tömérdek holttest lesz mindenfelé, szó nélkül rakják le őket.

Azon a napon jajjá változnak a templomi énekek, így szól az Úr Isten, és temérdek lesz a hulla; szó nélkül hányák mindenüvé.

And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.

În ziua aceea, cântecele Templului se vor preface în gemete, zice Domnul Dumnezeu, pretutindeni vor arunca în tăcere o mulţime de trupuri moarte.”

The songs of the temple shall become wailings in that day,” declares the Lord GOD. “So many dead bodies!” “They are thrown everywhere!” “Silence!”

Halljátok meg ezt ti, akik a szegényre törtök és e föld nyomorultjainak kipusztítására.

Halljátok meg ezt ti, kik a szegényre törtök, és e föld szegényeinek kipusztítására.

Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail,

Ascultaţi lucrul acesta, voi care mâncaţi pe cel lipsit şi prăpădiţi pe cei nenorociţi din ţară!

Hear this, you who trample on the needy and bring the poor of the land to an end,

Azt mondjátok: Mikor múlik el az újhold, hogy gabonát árulhassunk? És a szombat, hogy a gabonával kereskedhessünk, hogy kisebbíthessük a vékát, növelhessük az árát, és hamis mérleggel csalhassunk:

Mondván: Mikor múlik el az újhold, hogy gabonát árulhassunk? és a szombat, hogy megnyithassuk a gabonás [házat?] hogy megkisebbítsük a vékát, és megnagyobbítsuk az árát, és hamis mértékkel csalhassunk?!

Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?

Voi care ziceţi: „Când va trece luna nouă, ca să vindem grâul, şi Sabatul, ca să deschidem grânarele, să micşorăm efa şi să mărim siclul, şi să strâmbăm cumpăna, ca să înşelăm?

saying, “When will the new moon be over, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may offer wheat for sale, that we may make the ephah small and the shekel great and deal deceitfully with false balances,

hogy megvegyük a szegényeket pénzen, a szűkölködőt egy pár saruért, és eladhassuk a gabona hulladékát?

Hogy megvegyük a szegényeket pénzen, és a szűkölködőt egy öltő saruért, és eladhassuk a gabona hulladékát?!

That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?

Apoi vom cumpăra pe cei nevoiaşi pe argint şi pe sărac, pe o pereche de încălţăminte, şi vom vinde codină în loc de grâu.”

that we may buy the poor for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals and sell the chaff of the wheat?”

Megesküdött az ÚR Jákób büszkeségére: Sohasem felejtem el semmiféle cselekedetüket!

Megesküdt az Úr a Jákób büszkeségére: Soha el nem felejtem semmi cselekedetöket!

The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

Domnul a jurat pe slava lui Iacov: „Niciodată nu voi uita niciuna din faptele lor!

The LORD has sworn by the pride of Jacob: “Surely I will never forget any of their deeds.

Ne rendüljön meg emiatt a föld? Ne gyászoljon minden lakosa? Bizony egészen fölemelkedik, mint a Nílus, árad és apad, mint Egyiptom folyója.

Ne rendüljön-é meg e miatt a föld? És ne búsuljon-é annak minden lakosa?! Bizony felindul egészen, mint a folyam, és dagad és apad, mint Égyiptom folyója.

Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

Nu se va cutremura ţara din pricina acestor mişelii şi nu se vor jeli toţi locuitorii ei? Nu se va umfla toată ţara ca râul, ridicându-se şi coborându-se iarăşi ca râul Egiptului?

Shall not the land tremble on this account, and everyone mourn who dwells in it, and all of it rise like the Nile, and be tossed about and sink again, like the Nile of Egypt?”

Azon a napon – ezt mondja az én Istenem, az ÚR – lenyugtatom a napot délben, és besötétítem a földet fényes nappal.

És lészen azon a napon, azt mondja az Úr Isten: Lenyugtatom a napot délben, és besötétítem a földet fényes nappal.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

În ziua aceea, zice Domnul Dumnezeu, voi face să asfinţească soarele la amiază şi voi întuneca pământul ziua în amiaza mare.

“And on that day,” declares the Lord GOD, “I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.

Ünnepeiteket gyászra változtatom, és minden dalotokat siratóénekké! Gyászruhát borítok minden derékra, és kopasszá teszek minden fejet, és olyanná teszem, mint aki egyetlen fiát siratja. A vége pedig a keserűség napja lesz!

Ünnepeiteket búra változtatom; és minden dalotokat szomorú énekké! Gyászruhát borítok minden derékra, és kopaszságot minden fejre, és olyanná teszem, mint a ki egyetlen fiát siratja; a vége pedig, mint a keserűség napja!

And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

Vă voi preface sărbătorile în jale şi toate cântările în bociri pentru morţi, voi acoperi toate coapsele cu saci şi voi face toate capetele pleşuve; voi arunca ţara într-o jale ca pentru un singur fiu, şi sfârşitul ei va fi ca o zi amară.

I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation; I will bring sackcloth on every waist and baldness on every head; I will make it like the mourning for an only son and the end of it like a bitter day.

Íme, jönnek napok – ezt mondja az én Istenem, az ÚR –, amikor éhínséget bocsátok erre a földre. Nem kenyér után való éhséget, sem víz után való szomjúságot, hanem az ÚR beszédének hallgatása utáni éhséget.

Ímé, napok jőnek, azt mondja az Úr Isten, és éhséget bocsátok e földre; nem kenyér után való éhséget, sem víz után való szomjúságot, hanem az Úr beszédének hallgatása után.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Iată, vin zile, zice Domnul Dumnezeu, când voi trimite foamete în ţară, nu foamete de pâine, nici sete de apă, ci foame şi sete după auzirea cuvintelor Domnului.

“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD, “when I will send a famine on the land— not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.

Tántorogni fognak tengertől tengerig és északtól keletig. Útra kelnek, hogy keressék az ÚR beszédét, de nem találják meg.

És vándorolni fognak tengertől tengerig és északtól fogva napkeletig. Futkosnak, hogy keressék az Úrnak beszédét, de nem találják meg.

And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

Vor pribegi atunci de la o mare la alta, de la miazănoapte la răsărit, vor umbla istoviţi încoace şi încolo, ca să caute cuvântul Domnului, şi tot nu-l vor găsi.

They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the LORD, but they shall not find it.

Azon a napon elepednek a szomjúság miatt a szép leányok és az ifjak is,

Azon a napon elepednek a deli szűzek, meg az ifjak is, a szomjúság miatt!

In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

În ziua aceea se vor topi de sete fetele frumoase şi flăcăii.

“In that day the lovely virgins and the young men shall faint for thirst.

akik Samária bálványára esküsznek, és azt mondják: Él a te istened, ó, Dán! Vagy: Él a te utad, ó, Beérseba! Bizony elhullanak, és nem kelnek föl többé!

A kik Samaria bűnére esküsznek, és ezt mondják: Él a te istened, oh Dán: és él a te útad, oh Beérseba! Bizony elhullanak és nem kelnek fel többé!

They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

Ei, care jură acum pe păcatul Samariei şi zic: „Pe Dumnezeul tău cel Viu, Dane!” şi: „Pe drumul Beer-Şebei!”, vor cădea, şi nu se vor mai scula.”

Those who swear by the Guilt of Samaria, and say, ‘As your god lives, O Dan,’ and, ‘As the Way of Beersheba lives,’ they shall fall, and never rise again.”
