Jaj azoknak, akik gondtalanul élnek a Sionon, és az elbizakodottaknak Samária hegyén, a legelső nép előkelőinek, akikhez hódolva jön Izráel háza!

Jaj azoknak, a kik gondtalanul élnek a Sionon, és a kik elbizakodnak Samaria hegyén; a kik a népek elejének elei, és a kikhez jő az Izráelnek háza!

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!

Vai de cei ce trăiesc fără grijă în Sion şi la adăpost pe muntele Samariei, vai de mai marii aceştia ai celui dintâi dintre neamuri, la care aleargă casa lui Israel!…

“Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who feel secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the first of the nations, to whom the house of Israel comes!

Menjetek át Kalnéba, és nézzetek szét, onnan pedig menjetek a nagy Hamátba, azután ereszkedjetek le a filiszteusok Gátjába! Vajon jobbak vagytok-e, mint ezek az országok, és vajon nagyobb-e az ő határuk a ti határotoknál?

Menjetek át Kalnéba, és nézzetek [szét;] onnan pedig menjetek a nagy Hamátba, és szálljatok le a Filiszteusok Gáthjába; vajjon jobbak-é azok, mint ezek az országok, és vajjon szélesebb-é azoknak határa a ti határotoknál?

Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?

Treceţi la Calne şi vedeţi, duceţi-vă de acolo până la Hamatul cel mare şi coborâţi-vă în Gat la filisteni; sunt oare cetăţile acestea mai înfloritoare decât cele două împărăţii ale voastre şi este ţinutul lor mai întins decât al vostru?…

Pass over to Calneh, and see, and from there go to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Or is their territory greater than your territory,

Ti távolinak gondoljátok a veszedelem napját, és közel hozzátok az erőszak trónját.

A kik a veszedelem napját messze gondoljátok, és az erőszaknak széket emeltek;

Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;

Credeţi că ziua nenorocirii este departe şi faceţi să se apropie domnia silniciei.

O you who put far away the day of disaster and bring near the seat of violence?

Elefántcsont ágyakon hevernek, elnyújtózkodnak pamlagukon, a nyáj legjavából lakmároznak és a hizlalt borjakból.

A kik elefántcsont pamlagon hevernek, és az ő nyoszolyáikban elnyújtózkodnak, és a nyáj legjavából és a kihízlalt borjakból lakmároznak;

That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;

Ei se culcă pe paturi de fildeş şi stau întinşi alene pe aşternuturile lor; mănâncă miei din turmă şi viţei puşi la îngrăşat.

“Woe to those who lie on beds of ivory and stretch themselves out on their couches, and eat lambs from the flock and calves from the midst of the stall,

Hárfa mellett dalolgatnak, és azt hiszik, hogy hangszerük olyan, mint Dávidé.

A kik hárfa mellett dalolgatnak, és azt hiszik, hogy hangszereik a Dávidéi;

That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;

Aiurează în sunetul lăutei, se cred iscusiţi ca David în instrumentele de muzică.

who sing idle songs to the sound of the harp and like David invent for themselves instruments of music,

Serlegekből isszák a bort, színolajjal kenegetik magukat, de nem bánkódnak József romlásán.

A kik a bort serlegekkel iszszák, és szín-olajjal kenegetőznek, és nem búsulnak a József romlásán:

That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

Beau vin cu pahare largi, se ung cu cel mai bun untdelemn, şi nu se întristează de prăpădul lui Iosif!

who drink wine in bowls and anoint themselves with the finest oils, but are not grieved over the ruin of Joseph!

Ezért most a száműzöttek élén viszik el őket, és vége szakad a nyújtózkodók dáridózásának.

Most azért [is] ők vitetnek el a száműzöttek élén, és vége szakad a nyújtózkodók dáridózásának.

Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.

De aceea vor merge în robie, în fruntea prinşilor de război; şi vor înceta strigătele de veselie ale acestor desfătaţi.

Therefore they shall now be the first of those who go into exile, and the revelry of those who stretch themselves out shall pass away.”

Önmagára esküdött az én Istenem, az ÚR. Azt mondja az ÚR, a Seregek Istene: Utálom Jákób kevélységét, és gyűlölöm palotáit, ezért prédára vetem a várost mindenestül.

Megesküdt az Úr Isten az ő életére; ezt mondja az Úr, a Seregek Istene: Útálom a Jákób kevélységét és gyűlölöm az ő palotáit; azért prédára vetem a várost mindenestől.

The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

Domnul Dumnezeu a jurat pe Sine însuşi şi Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor a zis: „Mi-e scârbă de mândria lui Iacov şi-i urăsc palatele; de aceea voi da în mâna vrăjmaşului cetatea cu tot ce este în ea.”

The Lord GOD has sworn by himself, declares the LORD, the God of hosts: “I abhor the pride of Jacob and hate his strongholds, and I will deliver up the city and all that is in it.”

És ha tíz ember marad is meg egy házban, még azok is meghalnak.

És ha egy házban tíz ember maradna is meg, még az is meghal;

And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.

Şi dacă vor mai rămâne zece oameni într-o casă, vor muri.

And if ten men remain in one house, they shall die.

És amikor fölemeli valakinek a holttestét a rokona és eltemetője, hogy kivigye a házból, akkor azt kérdezi attól, aki a ház belsejében van: Van-e még valaki veled? Az pedig azt mondja: „Nincs”, és még ezt is: „Csitt! Nem szabad említeni az ÚR nevét!”.

És mikor felemeli őt az ő barátja és megégetője, hogy kivigye a holttetemeket a házból, azt mondja annak, a ki a ház belsejében lesz: Van-é még valaki veled? az pedig azt mondja: Nincs, és ezt [is] mondja: Csitt! mert nem szabad említeni az Úrnak nevét!

And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.

Când unchiul său va lua pe cel mort să-l ardă, ridicându-i oasele din casă, şi va întreba pe cel din fundul casei: „Mai este cineva cu tine?”, acela va răspunde: „Nimeni”…, iar celălalt va zice: „Tăcere! Căci nu trebuie să pomenim acum Numele Domnului!”

And when one’s relative, the one who anoints him for burial, shall take him up to bring the bones out of the house, and shall say to him who is in the innermost parts of the house, “Is there still anyone with you?” he shall say, “No”; and he shall say, “Silence! We must not mention the name of the LORD.”

Mert íme, parancsol az ÚR, és összetöri a nagy házat hasadozásokkal és a kicsiny házat repedezésekkel.

Mert ímé, parancsol az Úr és megveri a nagy házat repedezésekkel, és a kicsiny házat hasadozásokkal.

For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.

Căci iată că Domnul porunceşte să se dărâme casa cea mare şi să se facă bucăţi casa cea mică.

For behold, the LORD commands, and the great house shall be struck down into fragments, and the little house into bits.

Vajon futhatnak-e sziklán a lovak? Fölszánthatja-e azt valaki ökrökkel? Ti viszont méreggé tettétek a törvényt, az igazság gyümölcsét pedig ürömmé!

Vajjon futhatnak-é a lovak a sziklán? felszánthatja-é azt valaki ökrökön? hogy az ítéletet bürökké tettétek, az igazság gyümölcsét pedig ürömmé?!

Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:

Pot caii să alerge pe o stâncă? Sau poate cineva să are marea cu boii, de aţi prefăcut judecata în otravă şi rodul dreptăţii, în pelin?

Do horses run on rocks? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood—

Örültök a hiábavaló dolgoknak, és azt mondjátok: Nem a magunk erejével szereztük-e meg magunknak Karnaimot?

A kik örültök a hiábavaló dolognak, [és] a kik ezt mondjátok: Nem a magunk erejével szereztünk-é magunknak a szarvakat?

Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

Vă bucuraţi de lucruri de nimic şi ziceţi: „Oare nu prin tăria noastră am câştigat noi putere?”

you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, “Have we not by our own strength captured Karnaim for ourselves?”

Íme, bizony népet indítok ellened, Izráel háza – ezt mondja az ÚR, a Seregek Istene –, és az sanyargat titeket a hamáti úttól az Arába patakjáig.

Ímé, bizony népet indítok ellened, oh Izráel háza, azt mondja az Úr, a Seregek Istene, és az sanyargat titeket a hámáti úttól az Arába patakjáig.

But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.

„De aceea iată, voi ridica împotriva voastră, casa lui Israel, zice Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor, un neam care vă va asupri de la intrarea Hamatului până la pârâul pustiului.”

“For behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel,” declares the LORD, the God of hosts; “and they shall oppress you from Lebo-hamath to the Brook of the Arabah.”
