Jaj, de árván maradt a város, amely tele volt néppel! Olyan lett, mint az özvegyasszony! Nagy volt a nemzetek között, fejedelemasszony a tartományok között; de robotra fogták!

Jaj! de árván ül a nagy népű város! Olyanná lőn, mint az özvegyasszony! Nagy volt a nemzetek között, a tartományok közt fejedelemasszony: robotossá lőn!

How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!

Vai! Cum stă părăsită acum, cetatea aceasta atât de plină de popor altădată! A rămas ca o văduvă! Ea, care altădată era mare între neamuri, fruntaşă printre ţări, a ajuns roabă astăzi!

How lonely sits the city that was full of people! How like a widow has she become, she who was great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provinces has become a slave.

Sírva sír éjjelente, s könny borítja arcát! Senki sincs, aki vigasztalná azok közül, akik szerették. Barátai mind megcsalták, ellenségeivé lettek.

Sírván sír éjjelente, s könny [borítja] az orczáját! Senki sincs, ki vígasztalná, azok közül, kik szerették; mind megcsalták barátai, ellenségeivé lőnek.

She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.

Plânge amarnic noaptea şi-i curg lacrimi pe obraji. Niciunul din toţi cei ce o iubeau n-o mângâie; toţi prietenii ei au părăsit-o şi i s-au făcut vrăjmaşi.

She weeps bitterly in the night, with tears on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has none to comfort her; all her friends have dealt treacherously with her; they have become her enemies.

A nyomorúság és a kemény szolgálat után száműzetésbe ment Júda! Ott ül a népek között, nem talál nyugalmat. Minden üldözője utolérte szorultságában.

Számkivetésbe méne Júda a nyomorúság és a szolgálat sokasága miatt! Ott ül ő a pogányok közt; nem talál nyugodalmat; valamennyi üldözője utólérte a szorultságában.

Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.

Iuda a plecat în pribegie din pricina apăsării şi muncilor grele. Locuieşte în mijlocul neamurilor şi nu găseşte odihnă! Toţi prigonitorii lui l-au ajuns tocmai când îi era mai mare strâmtorarea.

Judah has gone into exile because of affliction and hard servitude; she dwells now among the nations, but finds no resting place; her pursuers have all overtaken her in the midst of her distress.

Sion útjai gyászolnak, mert nincsen, aki ünnepre jönne. Minden kapuja elpusztult. Papjai sóhajtoznak, szüzei búsulnak, és neki csupa keserűség jut.

Sionnak útai gyászolnak; nincsen, a ki ünnepnapra járjon; kapuja mind elpusztult; papjai sóhajtoznak, szűzei nyögnek, csak keserűsége van néki.

The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.

Drumurile Sionului sunt triste căci nimeni nu se mai duce la sărbători, toate porţile lui sunt pustii, preoţii lui oftează; fecioarele lui sunt mâhnite, şi el însuşi este plin de amărăciune.

The roads to Zion mourn, for none come to the festival; all her gates are desolate; her priests groan; her virgins have been afflicted, and she herself suffers bitterly.

Elnyomói hatalomra jutottak, ellenségei boldogok. Bizony, az ÚR szomorította meg sok bűne miatt, gyermekei fogságba mentek az elnyomó előtt.

Elnyomói főkké lettek; ellenségei boldogok! Bizony az Úr verte meg őt az ő sok bűne miatt; gyermekei rabságra mentek az elnyomó előtt.

Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.

Asupritorii lui sar biruitori, vrăjmaşii lui sunt mulţumiţi. Căci Domnul l-a smerit din pricina mulţimii păcatelor lui; copiii lui au mers în robie înaintea asupritorului.

Her foes have become the head; her enemies prosper, because the LORD has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions; her children have gone away, captives before the foe.

Elhagyta Sion leányát minden ékessége, fejedelmei olyanok lettek, mint a szarvasok, amelyek nem találnak legelőt, és erőtlenül futnak üldözőik előtt.

And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.

S-a dus de la fiica Sionului toată podoaba ei. Căpeteniile ei au ajuns ca nişte cerbi care nu găsesc păşune şi merg fără putere înaintea celui ce-i goneşte.

From the daughter of Zion all her majesty has departed. Her princes have become like deer that find no pasture; they fled without strength before the pursuer.

Visszaemlékezik Jeruzsálem nyomorúságának és elnyomásának napjain minden gyönyörűségére, amelyben része volt a régi időkben. De népe ellenség kezébe esett, és nem volt segítsége. Ellenségei látva őt csak nevettek megsemmisülésén.

Emlékezik Jeruzsálem az ő nyomorúságának és eltiportatásának napjain minden ő gyönyörűségéről, a melyek voltak eleitől fogva; mert az ő népe ellenség kezébe esett és nem volt segítsége. Látták őt az ellenségek; nevettek megsemmisülésén.

Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths.

În zilele necazului şi ticăloşiei lui, Ierusalimul îşi aduce aminte de toate bunătăţile de care a avut parte din zilele străbune; când a căzut poporul lui în mâna asupritorului, nimeni nu i-a venit în ajutor, iar vrăjmaşii se uitau la el şi râdeau de prăbuşirea lui.

Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and wandering all the precious things that were hers from days of old. When her people fell into the hand of the foe, and there was none to help her, her foes gloated over her; they mocked at her downfall.

Súlyosan vétkezett Jeruzsálem, azért lett tisztátalanná. Minden tisztelője megvetette, mert látták mezítelenségét, ő maga is sóhajtozik és elfordul.

Vétkezvén vétkezett Jeruzsálem, azért lett csúfsággá, minden tisztelője megvetette, mert látták az ő mezítelenségét, ő maga pedig sóhajtoz és elfordul.

Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.

Greu a păcătuit Ierusalimul! De aceea a ajuns de scârbă. Toţi cei ce-l preţuiau îl dispreţuiesc acum văzându-i goliciunea, şi el însuşi se întoarce în altă parte şi oftează.

Jerusalem sinned grievously; therefore she became filthy; all who honored her despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans and turns her face away.

Szennyes a ruhája széle, nem gondolt arra, mi lesz a vége. Szörnyen lesüllyedt, nincs vigasztalója. Lásd meg, URam, nyomorúságomat, mert az ellenség erőt vett rajtam!

Szennye a ruhája szélén; nem gondolt a jövőjére; csudálatosan alásülyedt, nincs vígasztalója. Lásd meg Uram, az én nyomorúságomat, mert ellenség vett erőt [rajtam!]

Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.

Necurăţia sta lipită pe poala hainei lui, şi nu se gândea la sfârşitul său. A căzut greu de tot. Nimeni nu-l mângâie. – „Vezi-mi ticăloşia, Doamne, căci iată ce semeţ este vrăjmaşul!” –

Her uncleanness was in her skirts; she took no thought of her future; therefore her fall is terrible; she has no comforter. “O LORD, behold my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed!”

Kinyújtotta a kezét az ellenség minden kincse után. Sőt látta, hogyan mentek be szentélyébe azok a népek, akikről azt parancsoltad, hogy nem mehetnek be gyülekezetedbe.

Szorongató nyújtja kezét minden kincse után, sőt látta, hogy pogányok mentek be az ő szent helyébe, a kikről azt parancsoltad, hogy be ne menjenek a te községedbe.

The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.

Asupritorul a întins mâna la tot ce avea el mai scump; ba încă a văzut cum în Locaşul lui cel Sfânt au intrat neamurile cărora Tu le porunciseşi să nu intre în adunarea Ta!

The enemy has stretched out his hands over all her precious things; for she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary, those whom you forbade to enter your congregation.

Egész népe sóhajtozik, kenyér után futkos, odaadják drágaságaikat az ételért, hogy fölelevenedjenek. Lásd meg, URam, és tekintsd meg, milyen megvetetté lettem!

Egész népe sóhajtoz, futkosnak a kenyér után, odaadják drágaságaikat az ételért, hogy megéledjenek. Lásd meg Uram és tekintsd meg, mily útálatossá lettem!

All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for meat to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become vile.

Tot poporul lui caută pâine suspinând; şi-au dat lucrurile scumpe pe hrană, numai ca să-şi ţină viaţa. „Uită-Te, Doamne, şi priveşte cât de înjosit sunt!”

All her people groan as they search for bread; they trade their treasures for food to revive their strength. “Look, O LORD, and see, for I am despised.”

Mindnyájan, ti járókelők: tekintsétek meg, és lássátok: van-e olyan bánat, mint az én bánatom, amely engem ért, amellyel engem sújtott az ÚR izzó haragja napján?!

Mindnyájatokat kérlek, ti járókelők: tekintsétek meg és lássátok meg, ha van-é oly bánat, mint az én bánatom, a mely engem ért, a melylyel engem sujtott az Úr az ő búsult haragjának napján!

Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

O! voi, care treceţi pe lângă mine, priviţi şi vedeţi dacă este vreo durere ca durerea mea, ca durerea cu care m-a lovit Domnul în ziua mâniei Lui aprinse!

“Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow, which was brought upon me, which the LORD inflicted on the day of his fierce anger.

A magasságból tüzet bocsátott csontjaimba, hogy eltiporjon. Hálót vetett lábamnak, hanyatt buktatott, elhagyottá tett engem; egész nap beteg vagyok.

A magasságból tüzet bocsátott csontjaimba, és az hatalmaskodik bennök; hálót vetett lábaimnak; hátra vetett, pusztává tett engem; egész napon beteg [vagyok.]

From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day.

Mi-a azvârlit de sus în oase un foc care le arde; mi-a întins un laţ sub picioare şi m-a dat înapoi. M-a lovit cu pustiire şi o lâncezeală de toate zilele!

“From on high he sent fire; into my bones he made it descend; he spread a net for my feet; he turned me back; he has left me stunned, faint all the day long.

Saját kezével rótta rám vétkeim igáját, ráfonódtak nyakamra, megrendítették erőmet. Olyanok kezébe adott engem az Úr, akiknek nem állhatok ellen.

Saját kezével rótta össze az én vétkeim igáját; ráfonódtak nyakamra; megrendítette erőmet; oda adott engem az Úr azok kezébe, a kik előtt meg nem állhatok.

The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he hath made my strength to fall, the LORD hath delivered me into their hands, from whom I am not able to rise up.

Mâna Lui a legat jugul nelegiuirilor mele, care stau împletite şi legate de gâtul meu. Mi-a frânt puterea. Domnul m-a dat în mâinile acelora cărora nu pot să le stau împotrivă.

“My transgressions were bound into a yoke; by his hand they were fastened together; they were set upon my neck; he caused my strength to fail; the Lord gave me into the hands of those whom I cannot withstand.

Az Úr félredobálta mellőlem minden harcosomat. Gyűlést hívott össze ellenem, hogy összetörje ifjaimat; sajtóba taposta az Úr Júda szűz leányát.

Rakásra hányta az Úr minden vitézemet én bennem; gyűlést hívott össze ellenem, hogy összetörje ifjaimat; sajtóba taposta az Úr Júda szűz leányát.

The LORD hath trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: he hath called an assembly against me to crush my young men: the LORD hath trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress.

Domnul a trântit la pământ pe toţi vitejii din mijlocul meu; a strâns o oştire împotriva mea, ca să-mi prăpădească tineretul; ca în teasc a călcat Domnul pe fecioara, fiica lui Iuda.

“The Lord rejected all my mighty men in my midst; he summoned an assembly against me to crush my young men; the Lord has trodden as in a winepress the virgin daughter of Judah.

Ezekért sírok én, szememből patakzik a könny, mert messze van tőlem vigasztalóm, aki megeleveníthetne engem. Fiaim elvesztek, mert győzött az ellenség.

Ezekért sírok én; szememből, szememből víz folyik alá, mert messze távozott tőlem a vígasztaló, a ki megélesszen engem; fiaim elvesztek, mert győzött az ellenség.

For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.

De aceea plâng, îmi varsă lacrimi ochii, căci S-a depărtat de la mine Cel ce trebuia să mă mângâie, Cel ce trebuia să-mi învioreze viaţa; fiii mei sunt zdrobiţi, căci vrăjmaşul a biruit. –

“For these things I weep; my eyes flow with tears; for a comforter is far from me, one to revive my spirit; my children are desolate, for the enemy has prevailed.”

Sion kinyújtja a kezét, de nincs vigasztalója. Az ÚR rendelt szorongatókat Jákób ellen körös-körül, Jeruzsálem csúfsággá lett közöttük.

Terjesztgeti kezeit Sion: nincs vígasztalója; szorongatókat rendelt az Úr Jákób ellen köröskörül; Jeruzsálem csúfsággá lett közöttök.

Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.

Sionul întinde mâinile rugător, şi nimeni nu-l mângâie. Domnul a trimis împotriva lui Iacov de jur împrejur vrăjmaşi; Ierusalimul a ajuns de batjocură în mijlocul lor. –

Zion stretches out her hands, but there is none to comfort her; the LORD has commanded against Jacob that his neighbors should be his foes; Jerusalem has become a filthy thing among them.

Igazságos az ÚR, mert szava ellen rugódoztam! Halljátok meg mind, ti népek, és lássátok bánatomat: hajadon lányaim és ifjaim fogságba mentek!

Igaz ő, az Úr, mert az ő szava ellen rugódoztam! Halljátok meg kérlek, mind ti népek, és lássátok meg az én bánatomat: szűzeim és ifjaim fogságba menének!

The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.

Domnul este drept, căci m-am răzvrătit împotriva poruncilor Lui. Ascultaţi, toate popoarele, şi vedeţi-mi durerea! Fecioarele şi tinerii mei s-au dus în robie.

“The LORD is in the right, for I have rebelled against his word; but hear, all you peoples, and see my suffering; my young women and my young men have gone into captivity.

Kiáltottam azoknak, akik szerettek, de megcsaltak engem. Papjaim és véneim elpusztultak a városban, amikor étel után futkostak, hogy megelevenedjenek.

Kiáltottam azoknak, a kik szerettek engem de ők megcsaltak engem; papjaim és véneim a városban multak ki, a mikor étel után futkostak, hogy megéledjenek.

I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the ghost in the city, while they sought their meat to relieve their souls.

Mi-am chemat prietenii, dar m-au înşelat, preoţii şi bătrânii mei au murit în cetate căutând hrană ca să-şi ţină viaţa. –

“I called to my lovers, but they deceived me; my priests and elders perished in the city, while they sought food to revive their strength.

Lásd meg, URam, milyen nyomorult vagyok, bensőm háborog, vergődik a szívem, mert bizony engedetlen voltam. Kint fegyver pusztít, bent minden olyan, mint a halál!

Lásd meg Uram, hogy szorongattatom, belső részeim megháborodtak; elfordult bennem az én szívem, mert bizony pártot ütöttem; künn fegyver pusztít, benn [minden] olyan, mint a halál!

Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the sword bereaveth, at home there is as death.

Doamne, uită-Te la necazul meu. Lăuntrul meu fierbe, mi s-a întors inima în mine, căci am fost neascultător. Afară sabia m-a lăsat fără copii, în casă, moartea.

“Look, O LORD, for I am in distress; my stomach churns; my heart is wrung within me, because I have been very rebellious. In the street the sword bereaves; in the house it is like death.

Hallották, hogy sóhajtozom, de nincs vigasztalóm. Minden ellenségem hallott veszedelmemről. Örültek, hogy ezt cselekedted. Hozd el a napot, amelyet meghirdettél! Legyenek ők is olyanok, mint én!

Hallották, hogy sóhajtozom és nincs vígasztalóm; minden ellenségem hallotta veszedelmemet; örültek, hogy te [ezt] cselekedted. Hozd el a napot, a melyet hirdettél, hogy olyanok legyenek, mint én!

They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it: thou wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.

M-au auzit suspinând, dar nimeni nu m-a mângâiat. Toţi vrăjmaşii mei, când au aflat de nenorocirea mea, s-au bucurat că Tu ai adus-o; dar vei aduce, vei vesti ziua când şi ei vor fi ca mine.

“They heard my groaning, yet there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it. You have brought the day you announced; now let them be as I am.

Jusson eléd minden gonoszságuk, és bánj velük úgy, ahogyan velem bántál minden bűnömért. Bizony, sokat sóhajtozom, és beteg a szívem.

Jusson elődbe minden gonoszságuk, és úgy bánj velök, a miképen én velem bántál az én minden bűnömért; mert sok az én sóhajtozásom, és beteg a szívem.

Let all their wickedness come before thee; and do unto them, as thou hast done unto me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.

Adu toată răutatea lor înaintea Ta şi fă-le cum mi-ai făcut mie, pentru toate fărădelegile mele! Căci suspinele mele sunt multe, şi inima îmi este bolnavă. –

“Let all their evildoing come before you, and deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my transgressions; for my groans are many, and my heart is faint.”
