Az ÚR pedig egy nagy halat rendelt, hogy lenyelje Jónást. Jónás pedig három nap és három éjjel volt a hal gyomrában.

Az Úr pedig egy nagy halat rendelt, hogy benyelje Jónást. És lőn Jónás a halnak gyomrában három nap és három éjjel.

Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,

Iona s-a rugat Domnului Dumnezeului său din pântecele peştelui

Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the belly of the fish,

És Jónás imádkozott az ÚRhoz, az ő Istenéhez a hal gyomrából.

És könyörge Jónás az Úrnak, az ő Istenének a halnak gyomrából.

And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

şi a zis: „În strâmtorarea mea am chemat pe Domnul, şi m-a ascultat; din mijlocul Locuinţei morţilor am strigat, şi mi-ai auzit glasul.

saying, “I called out to the LORD, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice.

Azt mondta: Nyomorúságomban az ÚRhoz kiáltottam, és ő meghallgatott engem. A Seol torkából kiáltoztam, és te meghallottad szavamat.

És mondá: Nyomorúságomban az Úrhoz kiálték és meghallgata engem; a Seol torkából sikolték [és] meghallád az én szómat.

For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.

Şi totuşi mă aruncaseşi în adânc, în inima mării, şi râurile de apă mă înconjuraseră; toate valurile şi toate talazurile Tale au trecut peste mine.

For you cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the flood surrounded me; all your breakers and your waves passed over me.

Mert mélységbe vetettél engem, a tenger közepébe; körülfogott a víz, habjaid és hullámaid mind átcsaptak rajtam!

Mert mélységbe vetettél engem, tenger közepébe, és körülfogott engem a víz; örvényeid és habjaid mind átmentek rajtam!

Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

Ziceam: „Sunt lepădat dinaintea ochilor Tăi! Dar iarăşi voi vedea Templul Tău cel sfânt.”

Then I said, ‘I am driven away from your sight; yet I shall again look upon your holy temple.’

Azt gondoltam: Elvetettél a szemed elől. Bárcsak láthatnám még szentséged templomát!

És én mondám: Elvettettem a te szemeid elől; vajha láthatnám még szentséged templomát!

The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

Apele m-au acoperit până aproape să-mi ia viaţa, adâncul m-a învăluit, papura s-a împletit în jurul capului meu.

The waters closed in over me to take my life; the deep surrounded me; weeds were wrapped about my head.

Torkomig értek a vizek, a mélység árja vett körül engem, hínár szövődött a fejemre.

Körülvettek engem a vizek lelkemig, mély ár kerített be engem, hinár szövődött fejemre.

I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.

M-am coborât până la temeliile munţilor, zăvoarele pământului mă încuiau pe vecie; dar Tu m-ai scos viu din groapă, Doamne Dumnezeul meu!

To the roots of the mountains I went down, to the land whose bars closed upon me forever. Yet you brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.

Lesüllyedtem a hegyek alapjáig, örökre bezáródtak mögöttem a föld zárjai. De te kiemelted életemet a mélységből, URam, Istenem!

A hegyek alapjáig sülyedtem alá; [bezáródtak] a föld závárjai felettem örökre! Mindazáltal kiemelted éltemet a mulásból, oh Uram, Istenem!

When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.

Când îmi tânjea sufletul în mine, mi-am adus aminte de Domnul, şi rugăciunea mea a ajuns până la Tine, în Templul Tău cel sfânt.

When my life was fainting away, I remembered the LORD, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple.

Amikor elcsüggedt a lelkem, az ÚRra emlékeztem, és könyörgésem eljutott hozzád, szentséged templomába.

Mikor elcsüggedt bennem az én lelkem, megemlékeztem az Úrról, és bejutott az én könyörgésem te hozzád, a te szentséged templomába.

They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

Cei ce se lipesc de idoli deşerţi îndepărtează îndurarea de la ei.

Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their hope of steadfast love.

Akik a hiábavaló bálványokra ügyelnek, elhagyják azt, aki kegyelmes hozzájuk.

A kik hiú bálványokra ügyelnek, elhagyják boldogságukat;

But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.

Eu însă Îţi voi aduce jertfe cu un strigăt de mulţumire, voi împlini juruinţele pe care le-am făcut. Mântuirea vine de la Domnul.”

But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Salvation belongs to the LORD!”

De én hálaadó énekkel áldozom neked, megadom, amit megfogadtam. Az ÚRé a szabadítás!

De én hálaadó szóval áldozom néked; megadom, a mit fogadtam. Az Úré a szabadítás.

And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

Domnul a vorbit peştelui, şi peştele a vărsat pe Iona pe pământ.

And the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land.

Erre az ÚR parancsolt a halnak, és az kivetette Jónást a szárazra.

[És szóla az Úr a halnak, és kiveté Jónást a szárazra.]
