Így szólt az ÚR szava Jónáshoz, Amittaj fiához:

És lőn az Úrnak szava Jónáshoz, az Amittai fiához, mondván:

Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

Cuvântul Domnului a vorbit lui Iona, fiul lui Amitai, astfel:

Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

Kelj föl, menj Ninivébe, a nagy városba, és kiálts ellene, mert felhatolt színem elé gonoszságuk!

Kelj fel, menj Ninivébe, a nagy városba, és kiálts ellene, mert gonoszságuk felhatolt elémbe!

Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

„Scoală-te, du-te la Ninive, cetatea cea mare, şi strigă împotriva ei. Căci răutatea ei s-a suit până la Mine!”

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it, for their evil has come up before me.”

Erre fölkelt Jónás, hogy Tarsísba szaladjon az ÚR elől. Lement Jáfóba, és talált ott egy hajót, amely Tarsísba indult. Kifizette az útiköltséget, és beszállt, hogy Tarsísba menjen az ÚR színe elől.

És felkele Jónás, hogy Tarsisba szaladna az Úr elől. Leméne azért Jáfóba, és talála ott egy hajót, a mely méne Tarsisba, és megadván a hajóbért, beszálla abba, hogy Tarsisba menne velök az Úr színe elől.

But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

Şi Iona s-a sculat să fugă la Tars, departe de faţa Domnului. S-a coborât la Iafo şi a găsit acolo o corabie care mergea la Tars. A plătit preţul călătoriei şi s-a suit în corabie ca să meargă împreună cu călătorii la Tars, departe de faţa Domnului.

But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the LORD.

Az ÚR pedig nagy szelet bocsátott a tengerre. Nagy vihar támadt a tengeren, és a hajó már-már töredezni kezdett.

Az Úr pedig nagy szelet bocsáta a tengerre, és nagy vihar lőn a tengeren, és a hajó már-már töredezik vala.

But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

Dar Domnul a făcut să sufle pe mare un vânt năprasnic şi a stârnit o mare furtună. Corabia ameninţa să se sfărâme.

But the LORD hurled a great wind upon the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship threatened to break up.

Ekkor félelem fogta el a hajósokat, és mindnyájan a maguk isteneihez kiáltottak. A hajóban lévő holmit a tengerbe dobták, hogy könnyítsenek rajta. Jónás pedig lement a hajó aljába, lefeküdt és elaludt.

Megfélemlének azért a hajósok és kiáltának, kiki az ő istenéhez, és a hajóban lévő holmit a tengerbe hányák, hogy könnyítsenek magukon. Jónás pedig leméne a hajó aljába, és lefeküdt és elaludt.

Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.

Corăbierii s-au temut, au strigat fiecare la dumnezeul lui şi au aruncat în mare uneltele din corabie, ca s-o facă mai uşoară. Iona s-a coborât în fundul corăbiei, s-a culcat şi a adormit dus.

Then the mariners were afraid, and each cried out to his god. And they hurled the cargo that was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone down into the inner part of the ship and had lain down and was fast asleep.

De odament hozzá a kapitány, és azt mondta neki: Mi lelt, te nagyalvó? Kelj föl, kiálts Istenedhez, hátha gondol velünk az Isten, és nem veszünk el!

De hozzáméne a kormányos mester, és mondá néki: Mi lelt, te nagy alvó? Kelj fel, kiálts a te Istenedhez; hát ha gondol velünk az Isten, és nem veszünk el!

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

Cârmaciul s-a apropiat de el şi i-a zis: „Ce dormi? Scoală-te şi cheamă pe Dumnezeul tău! Poate că Dumnezeu va voi să Se gândească la noi şi nu vom pieri!”

So the captain came and said to him, “What do you mean, you sleeper? Arise, call out to your god! Perhaps the god will give a thought to us, that we may not perish.”

Egymásnak pedig azt mondták: Gyertek, vessünk sorsot, hogy megtudhassuk, ki miatt van rajtunk ez a veszedelem! Ekkor sorsot vetettek, és a sors Jónásra esett.

Egymásnak pedig ezt mondák: Jertek, vessünk sorsot, hogy megtudhassuk: mi miatt van rajtunk e veszedelem? És sorsot vetének, és a sors Jónásra esék.

And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.

Şi au zis unul către altul: „Veniţi să tragem la sorţi, ca să ştim din pricina cui a venit peste noi nenorocirea aceasta!” Au tras la sorţi, şi sorţul a căzut pe Iona.

And they said to one another, “Come, let us cast lots, that we may know on whose account this evil has come upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

Akkor azt mondták neki: Mondd el hát nekünk, mi miatt van rajtunk ez a veszedelem! Mi a foglalkozásod, és honnan jössz? Melyik a te hazád, és miféle népből való vagy?

Mondák azért néki: Kérünk, beszéld el nékünk: mi miatt van rajtunk e veszedelem? Mi a te foglalkozásod és honnan jösz? Melyik a te hazád és miféle népből való vagy te?

Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?

Atunci ei i-au zis: „Spune-ne din pricina cui a venit peste noi nenorocirea aceasta? Ce meserie ai şi de unde vii? Care îţi este ţara şi din ce popor eşti?”

Then they said to him, “Tell us on whose account this evil has come upon us. What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? And of what people are you?”

Erre így felelt nekik: Héber vagyok, és az URat, az egek Istenét félem, aki a tengert és a szárazföldet teremtette.

És monda nékik: Héber vagyok én, és az Urat, az egek Istenét félem én, a ki a tengert és a szárazt teremtette.

And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.

El le-a răspuns: „Sunt evreu, şi mă tem de Domnul Dumnezeul cerurilor care a făcut marea şi uscatul!”

And he said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

Ekkor nagy félelem fogta el az embereket, és azt mondták neki: Mit cselekedtél? Mert megtudták azok az emberek, hogy az ÚR színe elől fut, mivel elmondta nekik.

És megfélemlének az emberek nagy félelemmel, és mondák néki: Mit cselekedtél? Mert megtudták azok az emberek, hogy az Úr színe elől fut, mivelhogy elbeszélé nékik.

Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.

Oamenii aceia au avut o mare teamă şi i-au zis: „Pentru ce ai făcut lucrul acesta?” Căci oamenii aceia ştiau că fugea de faţa Domnului, pentru că le spusese el.

Then the men were exceedingly afraid and said to him, “What is this that you have done!” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.

Utána azt kérdezték tőle: Mit cselekedjünk veled, hogy lecsöndesedjék körülöttünk a tenger? Mert a tenger háborgása egyre növekedett.

Mondák azután néki: Mit cselekedjünk veled, hogy a tenger megcsendesedjék ellenünk? Mert a tenger háborgása növekedék.

Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.

Ei i-au zis: „Ce să-ţi facem, ca să se potolească marea faţă de noi?” Căci marea era din ce în ce mai înfuriată.

Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you, that the sea may quiet down for us?” For the sea grew more and more tempestuous.

Ő pedig azt mondta nekik: Fogjatok meg, és vessetek a tengerbe, akkor lecsöndesedik a tenger körülöttetek, mert tudom, hogy miattam tört rátok ez a nagy vihar.

Ő pedig monda nékik: Fogjatok meg és vessetek engem a tengerbe, és megcsendesedik a tenger ellenetek; mert tudom én, hogy miattam van ez a nagy vihar rajtatok.

And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

El le-a răspuns: „Luaţi-mă şi aruncaţi-mă în mare, şi marea se va linişti faţă de voi! Căci ştiu că din vina mea vine peste voi această mare furtună!”

He said to them, “Pick me up and hurl me into the sea; then the sea will quiet down for you, for I know it is because of me that this great tempest has come upon you.”

És erőlködtek azok az emberek, hogy visszaevezzenek a szárazföldre, de nem tudtak, mert a tenger háborgása egyre növekedett körülöttük.

És erőlködtek azok az emberek, hogy visszajussanak a szárazra; de nem tudtak, mert a tenger háborgása növekedék ellenök.

Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.

Oamenii aceştia vâsleau ca să ajungă la uscat, dar nu puteau, pentru că marea se întărâta tot mai mult împotriva lor.

Nevertheless, the men rowed hard to get back to dry land, but they could not, for the sea grew more and more tempestuous against them.

Ezért így kiáltottak az ÚRhoz: Ó, URam, kérünk, ne vesszünk el ennek az embernek a lelke miatt, és ne háríts ránk ártatlan vért! Mert te, URam, úgy cselekszel, ahogy akarsz!

Kiáltának azért az Úrhoz, és mondák: Kérünk Uram, kérünk, ne veszszünk el ez ember lelkéért, és ne háríts reánk ártatlan vért; mert te, Uram, úgy cselekedtél, a mint akartad!

Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.

Atunci au strigat către Domnul şi au zis: „Doamne, nu ne pierde din pricina vieţii omului acestuia şi nu ne împovăra cu sânge nevinovat! Căci Tu, Doamne, faci ce vrei!”

Therefore they called out to the LORD, “O LORD, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not on us innocent blood, for you, O LORD, have done as it pleased you.”

Azzal fogták Jónást, bedobták a tengerbe, és megszűnt a tenger háborgása.

És felragadák Jónást és beveték őt a tengerbe, és megszűnék a tenger az ő háborgásától.

So they look up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.

Apoi au luat pe Iona şi l-au aruncat în mare. Şi furia mării s-a potolit.

So they picked up Jonah and hurled him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging.

Azok az emberek pedig nagy félelemmel félték az URat, áldozatot mutattak be az ÚRnak, és fogadalmakat tettek.

Azok az emberek pedig nagy félelemmel félék az Urat, és áldozattal áldozának az Úrnak, és fogadásokat fogadának.

Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows.

Pe oamenii aceia i-a apucat o mare frică de Domnul, şi au adus Domnului o jertfă, şi I-au făcut juruinţe.

Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD and made vows.

Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Domnul a trimis un peşte mare să înghită pe Iona, şi Iona a stat în pântecele peştelui trei zile şi trei nopţi.
