I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Mert lesz idő, amikor az egészséges tanítást nem viselik el, hanem saját kívánságaik szerint gyűjtenek maguknak tanítókat, mert viszket a fülük,

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Căci va veni vremea când oamenii nu vor putea să sufere învăţătura sănătoasă; ci îi vor gâdila urechile să audă lucruri plăcute şi îşi vor da învăţători după poftele lor.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Dar tu fii treaz în toate lucrurile, rabdă suferinţele, fă lucrul unui evanghelist şi împlineşte-ţi bine slujba.

But as for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.

Végezetül eltétetett nekem az igazság koronája, amelyet megad nekem az Úr, az igaz bíró ama napon, de nemcsak nekem, hanem mindazoknak, akik vágyva várják az ő megjelenését.

Végezetre eltétetett nékem az igazság koronája, melyet megád nékem az Úr ama napon, az igaz Bíró; nemcsak nékem pedig, hanem mindazoknak is, a kik vágyva várják az ő megjelenését.

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

De acum mă aşteaptă cununa neprihănirii, pe care mi-o va da în „ziua aceea” Domnul, Judecătorul cel drept. Şi nu numai mie, ci şi tuturor celor ce vor fi iubit venirea Lui.

Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

Igyekezzél hozzám jőni hamar.

Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

Caută de vino curând la mine.

Do your best to come to me soon.

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

Căci Dima, din dragoste pentru lumea de acum, m-a părăsit şi a plecat la Tesalonic. Crescens s-a dus în Galatia, Tit în Dalmatia.

For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.

The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.

La întâiul meu răspuns de apărare, nimeni n-a fost cu mine, ci toţi m-au părăsit. Să nu li se ţină în socoteală lucrul acesta!

At my first defense no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me. May it not be charged against them!

De az Úr mellém állt, és megerősített engem, hogy teljesen elvégezzem az ige hirdetését, hogy minden pogány meghallja. Megszabadultam az oroszlán szájából,

De az Úr mellettem állott, és megerősített engem; hogy teljesen bevégezzem az igehirdetést, és hallják meg azt az összes pogányok: és megszabadultam az oroszlán szájából.

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Însă Domnul a stat lângă mine şi m-a întărit, pentru ca propovăduirea să fie vestită pe deplin prin mine şi s-o audă toate Neamurile. Şi am fost izbăvit din gura leului.

But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth.

és meg is fog szabadítani engem az Úr a gonosz minden mesterkedésétől, és megtart az ő mennyei országára. Övé a dicsőség örökkön-örökké! Ámen.

És megszabadít engem az Úr minden gonosz cselekedettől, és megtart az ő mennyei országára; a kinek dicsőség örökkön örökké! Ámen.

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Domnul mă va izbăvi de orice lucru rău şi mă va mântui, ca să intru în Împărăţia Lui cerească. A Lui să fie slava în vecii vecilor! Amin.

The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
