Ti magatok is tudjátok, testvéreim, hogy hozzátok való menetelünk nem volt hiábavaló,

Mert magatok tudjátok, atyámfiai, hogy a mi ti hozzátok való menetelünk nem volt hiábavaló;

For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:

Voi înşivă ştiţi, fraţilor, că venirea noastră la voi n-a fost zadarnică.

For you yourselves know, brothers, that our coming to you was not in vain.

hanem amint tudjátok, noha előbb szenvedés és bántalmazás ért bennünket Filippiben, bátorságot merítettünk Istenünktől, hogy nektek is hirdessük az Isten evangéliumát sok tusakodással.

Sőt inkább, noha elébb már háborúságot és bosszúságot szenvedtünk volt Filippiben, a mint tudjátok, volt bátorságunk a mi Istenünkben, hogy közöttetek [is] hirdessük az Isten evangyéliomát sok tusakodással.

But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.

După ce am suferit şi am fost batjocoriţi în Filipi, cum ştiţi, am venit plini de încredere în Dumnezeul nostru să vă vestim Evanghelia lui Dumnezeu în mijlocul multor lupte.

But though we had already suffered and been shamefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we had boldness in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in the midst of much conflict.

Mert a mi buzdításunk nem hitegetésből van, nem is tisztátalanságból, sem nem álnokságból,

Mert a mi buzdításunk nem hitetésből [van,] sem nem tisztátalanságból, sem nem álnokságból:

For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

Căci propovăduirea noastră nu se întemeiază nici pe rătăcire, nici pe necurăţie, nici pe viclenie.

For our appeal does not spring from error or impurity or any attempt to deceive,

hanem mint akiket Isten kipróbált, hogy ránk bízza az evangéliumot, s úgy szólunk, mint akik nem az emberek tetszését keressük, hanem az Istenét, aki megvizsgálja szívünket.

Hanem a miképen az Isten méltatott minket arra, hogy reánk bízza az evangyéliomot, akképen szólunk; nem úgy, hogy embereknek tessünk hanem az Istennek, a ki megvizsgálja a mi szívünket.

But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

Ci, fiindcă Dumnezeu ne-a găsit vrednici să ne încredinţeze Evanghelia, căutăm să vorbim aşa ca să plăcem nu oamenilor, ci lui Dumnezeu, care ne cercetează inima.

but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.

Mert nem léptünk fel soha hízelgő beszéddel, amint tudjátok, sem leplezett kapzsisággal – Isten a tanúnk –,

Mert sem hízelkedő beszéddel, a mint tudjátok, sem telhetetlenség színében nem léptünk fel soha, Isten a bizonyság;

For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:

În adevăr, cum bine ştiţi, niciodată n-am întrebuinţat vorbe măgulitoare, nici haina lăcomiei; martor este Dumnezeu.

For we never came with words of flattery, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed—God is witness.

s nem kerestünk emberektől dicsőséget, sem tőletek, sem másoktól.

Sem emberektől való dicsőítést nem kerestünk, sem tőletek, sem másoktól, holott terhetekre lehettünk volna, mint Krisztus apostolai.

Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

N-am căutat slavă de la oameni: nici de la voi, nici de la alţii, deşi, ca apostoli ai lui Hristos, am fi putut să cerem cinste.

Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, though we could have made demands as apostles of Christ.

Bár tekintéllyel léphettünk volna fel, mint Krisztus apostolai, mégis szelídek voltunk közöttetek, mint a gyermekét dajkáló anya.

De szívélyesek valánk ti közöttetek, a miként a dajka dajkálgatja az ő gyermekeit.

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:

Dimpotrivă, ne-am arătat blânzi în mijlocul vostru, ca o doică ce-şi creşte cu drag copiii.

But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.

Ennyire megkedveltünk titeket, és készek voltunk közölni veletek nemcsak az Isten evangéliumát, hanem a magunk lelkét is, mivelhogy szeretteinkké lettetek.

Így felbuzdulva irántatok, készek valánk közleni veletek nemcsak az Isten evangyéliomát, hanem a mi magunk lelkét is, mivelhogy szeretteinkké lettetek nékünk.

So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

Astfel, în dragostea noastră fierbinte pentru voi, eram gata să vă dăm nu numai Evanghelia lui Dumnezeu, dar chiar şi viaţa noastră, atât de scumpi ne ajunseserăţi.

So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.

Bizonyára emlékeztek, testvéreim, a mi fáradozásunkra és vesződségünkre, mert éjjel-nappal munkálkodtunk, és úgy hirdettük nektek az Isten evangéliumát, hogy senkit meg ne terheljünk közületek.

Emlékez[het]tek ugyanis atyámfiai a mi fáradozásunkra és bajlakodásunkra: mert éjjel-nappal munkálkodva hirdettük néktek az Isten evangyéliomát, csakhogy senkit meg ne terheljünk közületek.

For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

Vă aduceţi aminte, fraţilor, de osteneala şi munca noastră. Cum lucram zi şi noapte, ca să nu fim sarcină niciunuia din voi, şi vă propovăduiam Evanghelia lui Dumnezeu.

For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.

Ti vagytok rá a tanúk és Isten, milyen szentül, igazán és feddhetetlenül éltünk közöttetek, akik hisztek.

Ti [vagytok] bizonyságok és az Isten, milyen szentül, igazán és feddhetetlenül éltünk előttetek, a kik hisztek.

Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

Voi sunteţi martori, şi Dumnezeu de asemenea, că am avut o purtare sfântă, dreaptă şi fără prihană faţă de voi care credeţi.

You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and righteous and blameless was our conduct toward you believers.

Azt is tudjátok, hogy úgy intettünk és buzdítgattunk egyenként benneteket, mint az apa a gyermekeit,

Valamint tudjátok, hogy miként atya az ő gyermekeit, [úgy] intettünk és buzdítgattunk egyenként mindnyájatokat.

As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,

Ştiţi iarăşi că am fost pentru fiecare din voi ca un tată cu copiii lui: vă sfătuiam, vă mângâiam şi vă adeveream

For you know how, like a father with his children,

és kérve kértünk, hogy Istenhez méltó módon éljetek, aki az ő országába és dicsőségébe hív titeket.

És kérve kértünk, hogy Istenhez méltóan viseljétek magatokat, a ki az ő országába és dicsőségébe hív titeket.

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

să vă purtaţi într-un chip vrednic de Dumnezeu, care vă cheamă la Împărăţia şi slava Sa.

we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

Azért pedig szüntelen hálát adunk Istennek, hogy amikor befogadtátok az Isten általunk hirdetett beszédét, nem úgy fogadtátok, mint emberek beszédét, hanem mint Isten beszédét, aminthogy valóban az, amely munkálkodik is bennetek, akik hisztek.

Ugyanazért mi is hálát adunk az Istennek szüntelenül, hogy ti befogadván az Istennek általunk hirdetett beszédét, nem úgy fogadtátok, mint emberek beszédét, hanem mint Isten beszédét (a minthogy valósággal az [is]), a mely munkálkodik is ti bennetek, a kik hisztek.

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

De aceea mulţumim fără încetare lui Dumnezeu că, atunci când aţi primit Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu, auzit de la noi, l-aţi primit nu ca pe cuvântul oamenilor, ci, aşa cum şi este în adevăr, ca pe Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu, care lucrează şi în voi care credeţi.

And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.

Mert ti, testvéreim, követői lettetek az Isten gyülekezeteinek, amelyek Júdeában vannak a Krisztus Jézusban, mivelhogy ugyanazt szenvedtétek el ti is saját honfitársaitoktól, mint ők a zsidóktól,

Mert ti, atyámfiai, követői lettetek az Isten gyülekezeteinek, a melyek Júdeában vannak a Krisztus Jézusban, mivelhogy ugyanúgy szenvedtetek ti is a saját honfitársaitoktól, miként azok is a zsidóktól,

For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:

Căci, fraţilor, voi aţi călcat pe urmele bisericilor lui Dumnezeu, care sunt în Hristos Isus, în Iudeea; pentru că şi voi aţi suferit din partea celor de un neam cu voi aceleaşi rele pe care le-au suferit ele din partea iudeilor.

For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea. For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews,

akik megölték az Úr Jézust és a prófétákat, és minket is üldöznek, és Istennek nem tetszenek, és minden ember ellenségei.

A kik megölték az Úr Jézust is és a saját prófétáikat, és minket [is] üldöznek, és az Istennek nem tetszenek, és minden embernek ellenségei;

Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

Iudeii aceştia au omorât pe Domnul Isus şi pe proroci, pe noi ne-au prigonit, nu plac lui Dumnezeu şi sunt vrăjmaşi tuturor oamenilor,

who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and displease God and oppose all mankind

Bennünket pedig akadályoznak abban, hogy a pogányoknak prédikáljunk, hogy üdvözüljenek, és így teszik teljessé mindenkor bűneiket, de végül utolérte őket az Isten haragja.

A kik megtiltják nékünk, hogy a pogányoknak ne prédikáljunk hogy üdvözüljenek; hogy mindenkor betöltsék bűneiket; de végre utólérte őket az [Isten] haragja.

Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

căci ne opresc să vorbim Neamurilor, ca să fie mântuite. Astfel ei totdeauna pun vârf păcatelor lor. Dar, la urmă, i-a ajuns mânia lui Dumnezeu!

by hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved—so as always to fill up the measure of their sins. But wrath has come upon them at last!

Mi pedig, testvéreim, miután rövid időre elszakadtunk tőletek külsőleg, de szívünkben nem, mert annál inkább, nagy vágyakozással igyekszünk, hogy szemtől szemben láthassunk titeket.

Mi pedig, atyámfiai, a mint elszakasztatánk tőletek egy kevés ideig, arczra, nem szívre nézve, annál buzgóságosabban, nagy kívánsággal igyekeztünk, hogy szemtől-szemben láthassunk titeket.

But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.

Noi, fraţilor, după ce am fost despărţiţi câtăva vreme de voi, cu faţa, dar nu cu inima, am avut cu atât mai mult dorinţa să vă vedem.

But since we were torn away from you, brothers, for a short time, in person not in heart, we endeavored the more eagerly and with great desire to see you face to face,

Mert egyszer is, másszor is el akartunk menni hozzátok, kiváltképpen én, Pál, de megakadályozott minket a Sátán.

Azért menni [is] akartunk hozzátok, kiváltképen én Pál, egyszer is, kétszer is, de megakadályozott minket a Sátán.

Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

Astfel, o dată şi chiar de două ori, am voit (eu, Pavel, cel puţin) să venim la voi; dar ne-a împiedicat Satana.

because we wanted to come to you—I, Paul, again and again—but Satan hindered us.

Mert ki a mi reménységünk, örömünk és dicsekvésünk koronája, ha nem ti a mi Urunk Jézus előtt az ő eljövetelekor?

Mert kicsoda a mi reménységünk, örömünk és dicsekedésünk koronája? Avagy nem azok [lesztek-]é ti is a mi Urunk Jézus Krisztus előtt az ő eljövetelekor?

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

Căci cine este, în adevăr, nădejdea sau bucuria, sau cununa noastră de slavă? Nu sunteţi voi, înaintea Domnului nostru Isus Hristos, la venirea Lui?

For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?
