Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.

Ascultaţi, dar, ce zice Domnul: „Scoală-te, judecă-te înaintea munţilor, şi dealurile să-ţi audă glasul!…

Hear what the LORD says: Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.

Halljátok meg, ti hegyek, az ÚR peres dolgát, és ti, örök alapjai a földnek! Mert pere van népével az ÚRnak, és Izráellel is perbe száll.

Halljátok meg hegyek az Úr peres dolgát, és ti, a földnek örök alapjai! Mert pere van az Úrnak az ő népével, és az Izráellel is perbe száll.

Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD's controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.

Ascultaţi, munţi, pricina Domnului şi luaţi aminte, temelii tari ale pământului! Căci Domnul are o judecată cu poporul Său şi vrea să Se judece cu Israel. –

Hear, you mountains, the indictment of the LORD, and you enduring foundations of the earth, for the LORD has an indictment against his people, and he will contend with Israel.

Én népem! Mit vétettem ellened, és mivel fárasztottalak téged? Felelj nekem!

Én népem! mit vétettem te ellened, és mivel fárasztottalak el téged?! Tégy vallást ellenem!

O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.

Poporul Meu, ce ţi-am făcut şi cu ce te-am ostenit? Răspunde-Mi!

“O my people, what have I done to you? How have I wearied you? Answer me!

Hiszen fölhoztalak Egyiptom földjéről, megváltottalak a szolgaság házából, elküldtem előtted Mózest, Áront és Mirjámot!

Hiszen felhoztalak Égyiptom földjéről, és a szolgák házából megváltottalak, és előtted küldém Mózest, Áront és Máriát!

For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

Căci te-am scos din ţara Egiptului, te-am izbăvit din casa robiei şi am trimis înaintea ta pe Moise, Aaron şi Maria!

For I brought you up from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

Én népem! Emlékezzél csak: mit koholt Bálák, Móáb királya, és mit felelt neki Bálám, Beór fia, emlékezzél, mi történt Sittímtől Gilgálig, hogy megismerd az ÚR igazságos tetteit!

Én népem! Emlékezzél csak: mit koholt Bálák, Moábnak királya, és mit felelt néki Bálám, a Beor fia? Sittimtől fogva Gilgálig, hogy megismerjed az Úr igazságos cselekedeteit.

O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.

Poporul Meu, adu-ţi aminte ce plănuia Balac, împăratul Moabului, şi ce i-a răspuns Balaam, fiul lui Beor, şi ce s-a întâmplat din Sitim până la Ghilgal, ca să cunoşti binefacerile Domnului!”

O my people, remember what Balak king of Moab devised, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, and what happened from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the LORD.”

Mivel menjek az ÚR elé? Hajlongjak-e a magasságos Isten előtt? Vajon égőáldozatokkal menjek elébe, esztendős borjakkal?

Mivel menjek eleibe az Úrnak? Hajlongjak-é a magasságos Istennek? Égőáldozatokkal menjek-é elébe, esztendős borjúkkal?!

Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

Cu ce voi întâmpina pe Domnul şi cu ce mă voi pleca înaintea Dumnezeului celui Preaînalt? Îl voi întâmpina oare cu arderi de tot, cu viţei de un an?

“With what shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

Kedvét leli-e az ÚR ezernyi kosban vagy tízezernyi olajpatakban? Vajon elsőszülöttemet adjam-e bűnömért vagy méhem gyümölcsét lelkem vétkéért?!

Kedvét leli-é az Úr ezernyi kosokban, [vagy] tízezernyi olaj-patakokban? Elsőszülöttemet adjam-é vétkemért, [vagy] méhem gyümölcsét lelkemnek bűnéért?!

Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

Dar primeşte Domnul oare mii de berbeci sau zeci de mii de râuri de untdelemn? Să dau eu pentru fărădelegile mele pe întâiul meu născut, rodul trupului meu, pentru păcatul sufletului meu? –

Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”

Megmondta neked, ó, ember, hogy mi a jó, és mit kíván tőled az ÚR: csak azt, hogy igazságot cselekedjél, szeresd az irgalmasságot, és alázatosan járj Isteneddel.

Megjelentette néked, oh ember, mi légyen a jó, és mit kiván az Úr te tőled! Csak azt, hogy igazságot cselekedjél, szeressed az irgalmasságot, és hogy alázatosan járj a te Isteneddel.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Ţi s-a arătat, omule, ce este bine, şi ce alta cere Domnul de la tine decât să faci dreptate, să iubeşti mila şi să umbli smerit cu Dumnezeul tău?

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Halld: az ÚR szava kiált a városnak! Az a bölcsesség, hogy féljék nevedet. Figyeljetek a vesszőre és arra, aki azt rendelte!

Az Úrnak szava kiált a városnak, és a te neved néz bölcseségre. Halljátok meg a vesszőt és ki rendeli azt?!

The LORD's voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.

Glasul Domnului strigă cetăţii, şi omul înţelept se teme de Numele Tău: „Ascultaţi pedeapsa şi pe Cel ce o trimite!

The voice of the LORD cries to the city— and it is sound wisdom to fear your name: “Hear of the rod and of him who appointed it!

Még mindig vannak a gonosz házakban hamissággal gyűjtött kincsek és szűk véka, amely átkozott?

[Vannak-é] még a gonosznak házában hamissággal gyűjtött kincsek, és ösztövér véka, a mely útálatos?

Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?

Mai sunt în casa celui rău comori nelegiuite şi blestemata efă mică?

Can I forget any longer the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is accursed?

Jóváhagyhatom-e a hamis mérleget és a zsákba rejtett csalárd súlyokat?

Vajjon jóváhagyom-é a hamis mértéket, és a zsákba [rejtett] csalárd fontokat?

Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?

Pot socoti Eu curat pe cel ce are o cumpănă nedreaptă şi greutăţi strâmbe în sac?

Shall I acquit the man with wicked scales and with a bag of deceitful weights?

Mert a város gazdagjai beteltek rablott holmival, lakói pedig hazugságot szólnak, és csalárd nyelv van a szájukban.

Mert a gazdagok megtöltöztek köztök ragadománynyal, lakosai pedig hazugságot szólnak, és nyelvök csalárd az ő szájokban.

For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

Pentru că bogaţii lui sunt plini de silnicie, locuitorii lui spun minciuni, şi limba lor este numai înşelătorie în gura lor,

Your rich men are full of violence; your inhabitants speak lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

Ezért én is megverlek, és beteggé teszlek, elpusztítalak bűneid miatt.

Én is azért megvervén, beteggé teszlek téged; elpusztítalak a te bűneid miatt.

Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.

de aceea şi Eu te voi lovi cu suferinţa, te voi pustii pentru păcatele tale.

Therefore I strike you with a grievous blow, making you desolate because of your sins.

Eszel majd, de nem elégedsz meg, hanem éhes maradsz. Gyűjtesz, de nem tudod azt megtakarítani, és amit megtakarítasz, azt is fegyver elé vetem.

Eszel te, de meg nem elégszel, és benned [marad] a te éhséged; és gyűjtesz, de nem takarítasz, és a mit megtakarítsz is, fegyverre hányom.

Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.

Vei mânca, şi tot nu te vei sătura, ci foamea va rămâne în tine; ce vei lua dinaintea vrăjmaşului nu vei scăpa, căci ce vei scăpa voi da pradă sabiei.

You shall eat, but not be satisfied, and there shall be hunger within you; you shall put away, but not preserve, and what you preserve I will give to the sword.

Vetsz majd, de nem aratsz, olajat sajtolsz, de nem kened magadat olajjal, és mustot is préselsz, de nem iszol bort!

Vetsz te, de nem aratsz; olajat sajtolsz te, de nem kened [magadat] olajjal, és mustot is, de bort nem iszol!

Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine.

Vei semăna, dar nu vei secera, vei stoarce măsline, dar nu te vei unge cu untdelemnul lor, vei face must, dar nu vei bea vin!

You shall sow, but not reap; you shall tread olives, but not anoint yourselves with oil; you shall tread grapes, but not drink wine.

Omri rendeléseihez szabjátok magatokat és Áháb házának cselekedeteihez, és az ő tanácsaik szerint jártok, ezért pusztasággá teszlek, lakóidat pedig iszonyattá, és hordozni fogjátok a népek gyalázatát.

Mert az Omri parancsolataihoz szabjátok magatokat és az Ákháb házának minden dolgához, és azoknak tanácsán jártok! Hogy pusztasággá tegyelek tégedet, az ő lakosait pedig csúfsággá, és hordozzátok népemnek gyalázatát.

For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.

Căci ei păzesc toate orânduirile lui Omri şi lucrează întocmai cum a lucrat casa lui Ahab, şi umblă după sfaturile lor, de aceea te voi face de pomină, îţi voi face locuitorii de batjocură, şi veţi purta ocara poporului Meu.”

For you have kept the statutes of Omri, and all the works of the house of Ahab; and you have walked in their counsels, that I may make you a desolation, and your inhabitants a hissing; so you shall bear the scorn of my people.”
