Íme, elküldöm követemet, és elkészíti előttem az utat. És hirtelen eljön templomába az Úr, akit kerestek, és a szövetség követe, akit kívántok. Íme, eljön – ezt mondja a Seregek URa.

Ímé, elküldöm én az én követemet, és megtisztítja előttem az útat, és mindjárt eljön az ő templomába az Úr, a kit ti kerestek, és a szövetségnek követe, a kit ti kívántok; ímé, eljön, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura.

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

„Iată, voi trimite pe solul Meu; el va pregăti calea înaintea Mea. Şi deodată va intra în Templul Său Domnul pe care-L căutaţi: Solul legământului pe care-L doriţi; iată că vine – zice Domnul oştirilor.

“Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts.

De ki szenvedheti el eljövetelének napját? És ki állhat meg megjelenésekor? Hiszen olyan ő, mint az ötvös tüze és a ruhamosók lúgja!

De kicsoda szenvedheti el az ő eljövetelének napját? És kicsoda áll meg az ő megjelenésekor? Hiszen olyan ő, mint az ötvösnek tüze, és a ruhamosóknak lúgja!

But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

Cine va putea să sufere însă ziua venirii Lui? Cine va rămâne în picioare când Se va arăta El? Căci El va fi ca focul topitorului şi ca leşia înălbitorului.

But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap.

Leül, mint az ötvös, hogy megtisztítsa ezüstjét, és megtisztítja Lévi fiait, fényessé teszi őket, mint az aranyat és ezüstöt. Akkor igazsággal visznek áldozatot az ÚRnak.

És ül mint ötvös vagy ezüsttisztogató és megtisztítja Lévi fiait és fényessé teszi őket, mint az aranyat és ezüstöt; és igazsággal visznek ételáldozatot az Úrnak.

And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

El va şedea, va topi şi va curăţa argintul; va curăţa pe fiii lui Levi, îi va lămuri cum se lămureşte aurul şi argintul, şi vor aduce Domnului daruri neprihănite.

He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the LORD.

Kedves lesz majd az ÚRnak Júda és Jeruzsálem áldozata, mint a régi napokban és korábbi esztendőkben.

És kedves lesz az Úrnak a Júda és Jeruzsálem ételáldozatja, mint a régi napokban és előbbi esztendőkben.

Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

Atunci darul lui Iuda şi al Ierusalimului va fi plăcut Domnului, ca în zilele cele vechi, ca în anii de odinioară.

Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in the days of old and as in former years.

Mert ítéletre indulok hozzátok, és hamarosan tanú leszek a szemfényvesztők ellen, a paráznák és a hamisan esküvők ellen és azok ellen, akik megrövidítik a munkás bérét és az özvegyet és az árvát, akik nyomorgatják az idegent, és nem félnek engem – ezt mondja a Seregek URa.

Mert ítéletre indulok hozzátok, és gyors tanú leszek a szemfényvesztők ellen, a paráznák és hamisan esküvők ellen, és azok ellen, a kik megrövidítik a munkásnak bérét, az özvegyet és árvát, és a kik nyomorgatják az idegent, és nem félnek engem, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

Mă voi apropia de voi pentru judecată şi Mă voi grăbi să mărturisesc împotriva descântătorilor şi preacurvarilor, împotriva celor ce jură strâmb, împotriva celor ce opresc plata simbriaşului, care asupresc pe văduvă şi pe orfan, nedreptăţesc pe străin, şi nu se tem de Mine, zice Domnul oştirilor.

“Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the LORD of hosts.

Mert én, az ÚR, nem változom meg, ti pedig, Jákób fiai, nem semmisültök meg!

Mert én, az Úr, meg nem változom, ti pedig, Jákóbnak fiai, nem emésztettek meg!

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Căci Eu sunt Domnul, Eu nu Mă schimb; de aceea, voi, copii ai lui Iacov, n-aţi fost nimiciţi.

“For I the LORD do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.

Atyáitok idejétől fogva eltértetek rendelkezéseimtől, és nem tartottátok meg azokat. Térjetek hozzám, és én is hozzátok térek! – ezt mondja a Seregek URa. De ti azt kérditek: Miből térjünk meg?

Atyáitok idejétől fogva eltértetek rendeléseimtől és nem tartottátok meg [azokat.] Térjetek hozzám, és én is hozzátok térek, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura. De azt mondjátok: Miben térjünk meg?

Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

Din vremea părinţilor voştri voi v-aţi abătut de la poruncile Mele şi nu le-aţi păzit. Întoarceţi-vă la Mine, şi Mă voi întoarce şi Eu la voi, zice Domnul oştirilor. Dar voi întrebaţi: „În ce trebuie să ne întoarcem?”

From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the LORD of hosts. But you say, ‘How shall we return?’

Vajon becsaphatja-e az ember Istent? Ti mégis meg akartok engem csalni. Azt kérditek: Mivel csalunk meg téged? A tizeddel és az áldoznivalóval.

Avagy az ember csalhatja-é az Istent? ti mégis csaltatok engem. És azt mondjátok: Mivel csalunk téged? A tizeddel és az áldozni valóval.

Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Se cade să înşele un om pe Dumnezeu cum Mă înşelaţi voi? Dar voi întrebaţi: „Cu ce Te-am înşelat?” Cu zeciuielile şi darurile de mâncare.

Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions.

Átokkal vagytok elátkozva, mert megcsaltok engem: az egész nép!

Átokkal vagytok elátkozva, mégis csaltok engem: a nép egészben!

Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

Sunteţi blestemaţi câtă vreme căutaţi să Mă înşelaţi, tot poporul în întregime!

You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you.

Hozzátok be a raktáramba a tizedet mindenből, hogy legyen ennivaló a házamban! Ezzel tegyetek próbára engem – ezt mondja a Seregek URa –, hogy megnyitom-e nektek az ég csatornáit, és bőséges áldást árasztok-e rátok.

Hozzátok be a tizedet mind az én tárházamba, hogy legyen ennivaló az én házamban, és ezzel próbáljatok meg engem, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura, ha nem nyitom meg néktek az egek csatornáit, és ha nem árasztok reátok áldást bőségesen.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Aduceţi însă la casa vistieriei toate zeciuielile, ca să fie hrană în Casa Mea; puneţi-Mă astfel la încercare, zice Domnul oştirilor, şi veţi vedea dacă nu vă voi deschide zăgazurile cerurilor şi dacă nu voi turna peste voi belşug de binecuvântare.

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

Megdorgálom értetek a kártevőt, és nem pusztítja el földetek gyümölcsét, nem lesz a szőlőtök terméketlen a mezőn – ezt mondja a Seregek URa.

És megdorgálom érettetek a kártevőt, és nem veszti el földetek gyümölcsét, és nem lesz a szőlőtök meddő a mezőn, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura.

And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

Şi voi mustra pentru voi pe cel ce mănâncă (lăcusta), şi nu vă va nimici roadele pământului, şi viţa nu va fi neroditoare în câmpiile voastre, zice Domnul oştirilor.

I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the LORD of hosts.

És boldognak mond titeket minden nemzet, mert kívánatos földdé lesztek – ezt mondja a Seregek URa.

És boldognak mondanak titeket mind a nemzetek; mert kívánatos földdé lesztek ti, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura.

And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Toate neamurile vă vor ferici atunci, căci veţi fi o ţară plăcută, zice Domnul oştirilor.

Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the LORD of hosts.

Keményen szóltatok ellenem – ezt mondja az ÚR –, és azt kérditek: Mit szóltunk ellened?

Keményen szóltatok ellenem, azt mondja az Úr, és azt mondjátok: Mit szóltunk ellened?

Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?

Cuvintele voastre sunt aspre împotriva Mea, zice Domnul. Şi mai întrebaţi: „Ce-am spus noi împotriva Ta?”

“Your words have been hard against me, says the LORD. But you say, ‘How have we spoken against you?’

Azt mondtátok: Hiábavaló az Isten szolgálata, és mi haszna, hogy megtartjuk rendelkezéseit, és hogy gyászban jártunk a Seregek URa előtt?

Azt mondtátok: Hiábavaló az Isten szolgálata, és mi haszna, hogy megtartjuk törvényeit, és hogy alázatosan járunk a Seregeknek Ura előtt?

Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?

Aţi zis: „Degeaba slujim lui Dumnezeu; şi ce am câştigat dacă am păzit poruncile Lui şi am umblat trişti înaintea Domnului oştirilor?

You have said, ‘It is vain to serve God. What is the profit of our keeping his charge or of walking as in mourning before the LORD of hosts?

Sőt inkább mi magunk hirdetjük boldognak a kevélyeket, hiszen gyarapodnak, noha gonoszságot űznek, és bár Istent kísértik, mégis megmenekülnek.

Sőt inkább magunk hirdetjük boldogoknak a kevélyeket; hiszen gyarapodtak, noha gonoszságot űznek, és megszabadulnak, noha kisértik az Istent!

And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

Acum fericim pe cei trufaşi; da, celor răi le merge bine; da, ei ispitesc pe Dumnezeu, şi scapă!”

And now we call the arrogant blessed. Evildoers not only prosper but they put God to the test and they escape.’”

Amikor erről tanakodtak egymással az ÚR tisztelői, az ÚR figyelemmel kísérte és meghallgatta. Beírták színe előtt emlékeztetőül egy könyvbe azokat, akik félik az URat, és megbecsülik a nevét.

Akkor tanakodtak egymással az Úrnak tisztelői, az Úr pedig figyelt és hallgatott, és egy emlékkönyv iraték ő előtte azoknak, a kik félik az Urat és becsülik az ő nevét.

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Atunci şi cei ce se tem de Domnul au vorbit adesea unul cu altul; Domnul a luat aminte la lucrul acesta şi a ascultat; şi o carte de aducere aminte a fost scrisă înaintea Lui, pentru cei ce se tem de Domnul şi cinstesc Numele Lui.

Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another. The LORD paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the LORD and esteemed his name.

Azon a napon, amelyet szerzek – ezt mondja a Seregek URa –, tulajdonommá lesznek, és megkímélem őket, ahogyan az ember kíméli a maga fiát, aki szolgál neki.

És azon a napon, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura, a melyet én szerzek, tulajdonommá lesznek és kedvezek nékik, a mint kiki kedvez a maga fiának, a ki szolgálja őt.

And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Ei vor fi ai Mei, zice Domnul oştirilor, Îmi vor fi o comoară deosebită, în ziua pe care o pregătesc Eu. Voi avea milă de ei, cum are milă un om de fiul său care-i slujeşte.

“They shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.

Akkor ismét meglátjátok, hogy különbség van az igaz és a gonosz között, az Isten szolgája és a között, aki nem szolgálja őt.

És megtértek és meglátjátok, [hogy különbség van] az igaz és a gonosz között, az Isten szolgája között és a között, a ki nem szolgálja őt.

Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Şi veţi vedea din nou atunci deosebirea dintre cel neprihănit şi cel rău, dintre cel ce slujeşte lui Dumnezeu şi cel ce nu-I slujeşte.

Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.
