Meddig kiáltsak még, ó, URam, és nem hallgatsz meg? Kiáltok hozzád az erőszak miatt, és nem szabadítasz meg!

Meddig kiáltok még oh Uram, és nem hallgatsz meg! Kiáltozom hozzád az erőszak miatt, és nem szabadítasz meg!

O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!

Până când voi striga către Tine, Doamne, fără s-asculţi? Până când mă voi tângui Ţie, fără să dai ajutor?

O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear? Or cry to you “Violence!” and you will not save?

Miért láttatsz velem hamisságot, és miért kell szemlélnem a nyomorgattatást? Pusztítás és erőszak van előttem, viszály és versengés támad!

Miért láttatsz velem hamisságot, és szemléltetsz nyomorgatást? Pusztítás és erőszak van előttem, per keletkezik és versengés támad!

Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.

Pentru ce mă laşi să văd nelegiuirea, şi Te uiţi la nedreptate? Asuprirea şi silnicia se fac sub ochii mei, se nasc certuri şi se stârneşte gâlceavă.

Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise.

Ezért inog a törvény, és azért nem érvényesül az igaz ítélet. A gonosz behálózza az igazat: ezért hoznak hamis ítéletet.

Azért inog a törvény, és nem érvényesül az igaz ítélet; mert gonosz hálózza be az igazat, azért származik hamis ítélet!

Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

De aceea Legea este fără putere, şi dreptatea nu se vede, căci cel rău biruie pe cel neprihănit, de aceea se fac judecăţi nedrepte. –

So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted.

Nézzetek szét a népek között, vizsgálódjatok, és igen csodálkozzatok, mert oly dolgot cselekszem napjaitokban, amelyet el sem hinnétek, ha más mondaná.

Nézzetek szét a népek között, vizsgálódjatok és csodálkozással csodálkozzatok, mert oly dolgot cselekszem a ti napjaitokban, mit el sem hinnétek, ha beszélnék!

Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you.

Aruncaţi-vă ochii printre neamuri şi priviţi, uimiţi-vă şi îngroziţi-vă! Căci în zilele voastre voi face o lucrare pe care n-aţi crede-o, dacă v-ar povesti-o cineva!

“Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.

Mert íme, fölindítom a káldeusokat, ezt a kegyetlen és vakmerő nemzetet, amely széltében végigjárja a földet, hogy olyan lakhelyeket foglaljon el, amelyek nem az övéi.

Mert ímé, feltámasztom a Káldeusokat, a kegyetlen és vakmerő nemzetet, a mely eljárja a földet széltében, hogy hajlékokat foglaljon el, a melyek nem az övéi.

For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not their's.

Iată, voi ridica pe haldei, popor turbat şi iute, care străbate întinderi mari de ţări ca să pună mâna pe locuinţe care nu sunt ale lui.

For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, who march through the breadth of the earth, to seize dwellings not their own.

Rettenetes és iszonyatos ez a nép, maga szabja meg törvényét és rangját.

Rettenetes és iszonyatos ez, maga szerzi törvényét és hatalmát.

They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.

El este grozav şi înfricoşat; numai din el însuşi îi iese dreptul şi mărirea lui.

They are dreaded and fearsome; their justice and dignity go forth from themselves.

Lovai serényebbek a párducoknál, és gyorsabbak a pusztai farkasoknál, lovasai fékezhetetlenek. Bár messziről jönnek lovasai, úgy repülnek, mint a zsákmányra lecsapó sas.

És lovai serényebbek a párduczoknál, és gyorsabbak az estveli farkasoknál, és előtörtetnek az ő lovasai; és az ő lovasai messziről jőnek, repülnek, mint a zsákmányra siető keselyű.

Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.

Caii lui sunt mai iuţi decât leoparzii, mai sprinteni decât lupii de seară, şi călăreţii lui înaintează în galop de departe, zboară ca vulturul care se repede asupra prăzii.

Their horses are swifter than leopards, more fierce than the evening wolves; their horsemen press proudly on. Their horsemen come from afar; they fly like an eagle swift to devour.

Mindegyik erőszakkal jön, arcuk előrenéz, és annyi foglyot gyűjtenek, mint a homok.

Mindnyája ragadományért jön, arczuk előre néz, és annyi foglyot gyűjt, mint a föveny.

They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.

Tot poporul acesta vine numai ca să jefuiască; privirile lui lacome caută înainte, şi strânge prinşi de război ca nisipul.

They all come for violence, all their faces forward. They gather captives like sand.

Kicsúfolja a királyokat, kineveti az uralkodókat, csak kacag minden erődítményen, töltést emel és megostromolja.

Kaczag ez a királyokon, és a fejedelmek néki nevetség, minden erősséget csak nevet, töltést emel és megostromolja azt.

And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.

Îşi bate joc de împăraţi, şi voievozii sunt o nimica pentru el, râde de toate întăriturile, căci îngrămădeşte pământ şi le ia.

At kings they scoff, and at rulers they laugh. They laugh at every fortress, for they pile up earth and take it.

Majd viharként tovaszáll és eltűnik. Bűnhődni fog, mert saját hatalma az istene.

Majd tovaszáll viharként és elvonul és bűnbe esik; ő kinek istene az ő hatalma.

Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

Apoi aprinderea i se îndoaie, întrece măsura, şi se face vinovat, căci puterea lui o ia ca dumnezeu al lui!

Then they sweep by like the wind and go on, guilty men, whose own might is their god!”

Nem te vagy-e, URam, öröktől fogva az én Istenem, Szentem? Nem veszünk el! URam, te ítéletre rendelted őt, kősziklám, te fenyítésül szántad őt!

Avagy nem te vagy-é Uram, öröktől fogva az én Istenem, Szentem? Nem veszünk el! Ítéletre rendelted őt, oh Uram, fenyítőül választottad őt, én erősségem!

Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.

Doamne, nu eşti Tu din veşnicie, Dumnezeul meu, Sfântul meu? Nu vom muri! Doamne, Tu ai ridicat pe poporul acesta ca să-Ţi împlineşti judecăţile Tale; Tu, Stânca mea, l-ai ridicat ca să dai prin el pedepsele Tale!

Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O LORD, you have ordained them as a judgment, and you, O Rock, have established them for reproof.

Tisztább a szemed, hogysem nézhetnéd a gonoszt, és a nyomorgatást nem szemlélheted. Miért nézed hát el a hitszegést, és miért hallgatsz, amikor a gonosz elnyeli a nála igazabbat?!

Tisztábbak szemeid, hogysem nézhetnéd a gonoszt, és a nyomorgatást nem szemlélheted: miért szemléled [hát] a hitszegőket? [és] hallgatsz, mikor a gonosz elnyeli a nálánál igazabbat?!

Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

Ochii Tăi sunt aşa de curaţi că nu pot să vadă răul şi nu poţi să priveşti nelegiuirea! Cum ai putea privi Tu pe cei mişei, şi să taci când cel rău mănâncă pe cel mai neprihănit decât el?

You who are of purer eyes than to see evil and cannot look at wrong, why do you idly look at traitors and remain silent when the wicked swallows up the man more righteous than he?

Olyanná tetted az embert, mint a tenger hala, és mint a csúszó-mászó állat, amelynek nincs vezére?

Olyanokká teszed az embert, mint a tenger halai, és mint a csúszómászó állatok, a melyeknek nincsen vezérök?

And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?

Vei face Tu omului ca peştilor mării, ca târâtoarei care n-are stăpân?

You make mankind like the fish of the sea, like crawling things that have no ruler.

Mindet kifogja horgával, hálójába keríti, és kerítőhálójába gyűjti őket, s azután örül és vigad.

Mindnyáját kivonsza horoggal, gyalomjába keríti, és hálójába takarítja be őket; ezért örül és vígad.

They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.

El îi scoate pe toţi cu undiţa, îi trage în mreaja sa, îi strânge în năvodul său. De aceea se bucură şi se înveseleşte.

He brings all of them up with a hook; he drags them out with his net; he gathers them in his dragnet; so he rejoices and is glad.

Azért áldoz hálójának, és tömjénez kerítőhálójának, mert azok juttatták jó fogáshoz, kövér eledelhez.

Ezért áldozik gyalomjának, és füstöl az ő hálójának, mert ezekkel kövér az ő része, és zsíros az ő eledele.

Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.

De aceea aduce jertfe mrejei sale, aduce tămâie năvodului său; căci lor le datorează partea lui cea grasă şi bucatele lui gustoase!

Therefore he sacrifices to his net and makes offerings to his dragnet; for by them he lives in luxury, and his food is rich.

Vajon örökké ürítheti-e hálóját, és szüntelenül ölheti-e a nemzeteket, kímélet nélkül?

Vajjon azért ürítheti-é gyalmát, és szüntelen ölheti-é a nemzeteket kímélet nélkül?!

Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?

Pentru aceasta îşi va goli el întruna mreaja şi va înjunghia fără milă pe neamuri?

Is he then to keep on emptying his net and mercilessly killing nations forever?
