Ez már a második levelem hozzátok, szeretteim, amellyel tiszta gondolkozásotokat emlékeztetés által serkentgetem,

Ez immár második levélírásom néktek, szeretteim, amelylyel a ti tiszta gondolkozástokat emlékeztetés által serkentgetem;

This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

Preaiubiţilor, aceasta este a doua epistolă pe care v-o scriu. În amândouă caut să vă trezesc mintea sănătoasă, prin înştiinţări,

This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder,

hogy emlékezzetek a szent próféták korábban mondott beszédeire és apostolaitoknak az Úrtól és Üdvözítőtől vett parancsolataira.

Hogy megemlékezzetek a szent prófétáktól ezelőtt mondott beszédekről, és az Úrnak és Megtartónak általunk, az apostolok által közölt parancsolatjáról:

That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

ca să vă fac să vă aduceţi aminte de lucrurile vestite mai dinainte de sfinţii proroci şi de porunca Domnului şi Mântuitorului nostru, dată prin apostolii voştri.

that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles,

Mindenekelőtt tudjátok meg, hogy az utolsó napokban csúfolódók jönnek, akik saját kívánságaik szerint járnak,

Tudván először azt, hogy az utolsó időben csúfolkodók támadnak, a kik saját kívánságaik szerint járnak,

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

Înainte de toate, să ştiţi că în zilele din urmă vor veni batjocoritori plini de batjocuri, care vor trăi după poftele lor

knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.

és gúnyosan kérdezgetik: Hol van az ő eljövetelének ígérete? Mert mióta az atyák elhunytak, minden úgy marad a teremtés kezdetétől fogva.

És ezt mondják: Hol van az ő eljövetelének ígérete? Mert a mióta az atyák elhunytak, minden azonképen marad a teremtés kezdetétől fogva.

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

şi vor zice: „Unde este făgăduinţa venirii Lui? Căci, de când au adormit părinţii noştri, toate rămân aşa cum erau de la începutul zidirii!”

They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”

Mert rejtve van előttük, hogy az egek régtől fogva voltak, és a föld is, amely vízből és víz által állt elő az Isten szavára,

Mert kész-akarva nem tudják azt, hogy egek régtől fogva voltak, és föld, mely vízből és víz által állott elő az Isten szavára;

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Căci înadins se fac că nu ştiu că odinioară erau ceruri şi un pământ scos prin Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu din apă şi cu ajutorul apei

For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,

amely által az akkori világ özönvízzel elborítva elveszett.

A melyek által az akkori világ vízzel elboríttatván elveszett:

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

şi că lumea de atunci a pierit tot prin ele, înecată de apă.

and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.

A mostani egek pedig és a föld ugyanazon szó által félre lettek téve, a tűznek fenntartatva az ítéletnek és az istentelen emberek pusztulásának napjára.

A mostani egek pedig és a föld, ugyanazon szó által megkíméltettek, tűznek tartatván fenn, az ítéletnek és az istentelen emberek romlásának napjára.

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Iar cerurile şi pământul de acum sunt păzite şi păstrate, prin acelaşi cuvânt, pentru focul din ziua de judecată şi de pieire a oamenilor nelegiuiţi.

But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

Az az egy azonban ne legyen rejtve előttetek, szeretteim, hogy egy nap az Úrnál olyan, mint ezer esztendő, és ezer esztendő, mint egy nap.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Dar, preaiubiţilor, să nu uitaţi un lucru: că, pentru Domnul, o zi este ca o mie de ani, şi o mie de ani sunt ca o zi.

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Nem késik az ígérettel az Úr, még ha némelyek késedelemnek tartják is, hanem hosszútűrő irántatok, nem akarva, hogy némelyek elvesszenek, hanem hogy mindenki megtérésre jusson.

Nem késik el az ígérettel az Úr, mint némelyek késedelemnek tartják; hanem hosszan tűr érettünk, nem akarván, hogy némelyek elveszszenek, hanem hogy mindenki megtérésre jusson.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Domnul nu întârzie în împlinirea făgăduinţei Lui, cum cred unii; ci are o îndelungă răbdare pentru voi şi doreşte ca niciunul să nu piară, ci toţi să vină la pocăinţă.

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Az Úr napja pedig úgy jön majd el, mint a tolvaj, amikor az egek ropogva elmúlnak, az elemek pedig égve felbomlanak, és a föld és a rajta levő dolgok is megégnek.

Az Úr napja pedig úgy jő majd el, mint éjjeli tolvaj, a mikor az egek ropogva elmúlnak, az elemek pedig megégve felbomlanak, és a föld és a rajta lévő dolgok is megégnek.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Ziua Domnului însă va veni ca un hoţ. În ziua aceea, cerurile vor trece cu trosnet, trupurile cereşti se vor topi de mare căldură, şi pământul, cu tot ce este pe el, va arde.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

Mivelhogy azért mindezek felbomlanak, milyennek kell lennetek nektek szent életben és kegyességben,

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Deci, fiindcă toate aceste lucruri au să se strice, ce fel de oameni ar trebui să fiţi voi, printr-o purtare sfântă şi evlavioasă,

Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,

akik várjátok és siettetnétek az Isten napjának eljövetelét, amikor az egek tűzbe borulva felbomlanak, és az elemek égve megolvadnak!

A kik várjátok és sóvárogjátok az Isten napjának eljövetelét, a melyért az egek tűzbe borulva felbomlanak, és az elemek égve megolvadnak!

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

aşteptând şi grăbind venirea zilei lui Dumnezeu, în care cerurile aprinse vor pieri, şi trupurile cereşti se vor topi de căldura focului?

waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!

De új eget és új földet várunk az ő ígérete szerint, amelyben igazság lakozik.

De új eget és új földet várunk az ő ígérete szerint, a melyekben igazság lakozik.

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Dar noi, după făgăduinţa Lui, aşteptăm ceruri noi şi un pământ nou, în care va locui neprihănirea.

But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Azért, szeretteim, ezeket várva igyekezzetek, hogy szeplő és hiba nélkül valóknak találjon titeket békességben.

Annakokáért szeretteim, ezeket várván , igyekezzetek, hogy szeplő nélkül és hiba nélkül valóknak találjon titeket békességben.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

De aceea, preaiubiţilor, fiindcă aşteptaţi aceste lucruri, siliţi-vă să fiţi găsiţi înaintea Lui fără prihană, fără vină şi în pace.

Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.

És a mi Urunk hosszútűrését üdvösségnek tartsátok, ahogyan szeretett testvérünk, Pál is írt nektek a neki adott bölcsesség szerint

És a mi Urunknak hosszútűrését idvességnek tartsátok; a miképen a mi szeretett atyánkfia Pál is írt néktek a néki adott bölcsesség szerint.

And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

Să credeţi că îndelunga răbdare a Domnului nostru este mântuire, cum v-a scris şi preaiubitul nostru frate Pavel, după înţelepciunea dată lui,

And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,

szinte minden levelében, amikor ezekről szól. Ezekben van néhány nehezen érthető dolog, amelyeket a tanulatlanok és állhatatlanok csűrnek-csavarnak, mint más írásokat is a maguk vesztére.

Szinte minden levelében is, a mikor ezekről beszél azokban; a melyekben vannak némely nehezen érthető dolgok, a miket a tudatlanok és állhatatlanok elcsűrnek-csavarnak, mint egyéb írásokat is, a magok vesztére.

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

ca şi în toate epistolele lui, când vorbeşte despre lucrurile acestea. În ele sunt unele lucruri grele de înţeles pe care cei neştiutori şi nestatornici le răstălmăcesc ca şi pe celelalte Scripturi, spre pierzarea lor.

as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

Ti azért, szeretteim, mivel előre tudjátok ezt, vigyázzatok, nehogy a gonoszok tévelygései magukkal sodorjanak, és a saját erősségetekből kiessetek,

Ti azért szeretteim előre tudván [ezt], őrizkedjetek, hogy az istentelenek tévelygéseitől elragadtatva, a saját erősségetekből ki ne essetek;

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Voi deci, preaiubiţilor, ştiind mai dinainte aceste lucruri, păziţi-vă ca nu cumva să vă lăsaţi târâţi de rătăcirea acestor nelegiuiţi şi să vă pierdeţi tăria;

You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.

hanem növekedjetek a kegyelemben és a mi Urunk és üdvözítő Jézus Krisztusunk ismeretében. Övé a dicsőség most és örökkön-örökké.

Hanem növekedjetek a kegyelemben és a mi Urunknak és megtartó Jézus Krisztusunknak ismeretében. Néki [legyen] dicsőség, mind most, mind örökkön-örökké. Ámen.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

ci creşteţi în harul şi în cunoştinţa Domnului şi Mântuitorului nostru Isus Hristos. A Lui să fie slava, acum şi în ziua veşniciei. Amin.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
