De voltak hamis próféták is a nép között, ahogyan köztetek is lesznek hamis tanítók, akik veszedelmes eretnekségeket fognak becsempészni, és megtagadva az Urat, aki megváltotta őket, magukra gyors pusztulást hoznak.

Valának pedig hamis próféták is a nép között, a miképen ti köztetek is lesznek hamis tanítók, a kik veszedelmes eretnekségeket fognak becsempészni, és az Urat, a ki megváltotta őket, megtagadván, önmagokra hirtelen való veszedelmet hoznak.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

În norod s-au ridicat şi proroci mincinoşi, cum şi între voi vor fi învăţători mincinoşi, care vor strecura pe furiş erezii nimicitoare, se vor lepăda de Stăpânul care i-a răscumpărat şi vor face să cadă asupra lor o pierzare năprasnică.

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

Sokan követik őket kicsapongásaikban, akik miatt káromolni fogják az igazság útját,

És sokan fogják követni azoknak romlottságát; a kik miatt az igazság útja káromoltatni fog.

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Mulţi îi vor urma în destrăbălările lor. Şi, din pricina lor, calea adevărului va fi vorbită de rău.

And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.

titeket pedig kapzsiságukban kitalált beszédekkel becsapnak majd, de már régóta készen várja őket az ítélet, és kárhozatuk nem késik.

És a telhetetlenség miatt költött beszédekkel vásárt űznek belőletek; kiknek kárhoztatásuk régtől fogva nem szünetel, és romlásuk nem szunnyad.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

În lăcomia lor vor căuta ca prin cuvântări înşelătoare să aibă un câştig de la voi. Dar osânda îi paşte de multă vreme, şi pierzarea lor nu dormitează.

And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Mert nem kímélte Isten a bűnbe esett angyalokat sem, hanem az alvilág sötét mélységébe vetette őket, hogy fenntartassanak az ítéletre;

Mert ha nem kedvezett az Isten a bűnbe esett angyaloknak, hanem mélységbe taszítván, a sötétség lánczaira adta oda őket, hogy fenntartassanak az ítéletre;

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Căci dacă n-a cruţat Dumnezeu pe îngerii care au păcătuit, ci i-a aruncat în Adânc, unde stau înconjuraţi de întuneric, legaţi cu lanţuri şi păstraţi pentru judecată;

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment;

és a régi világot sem kímélte, hanem csak Nóét, az igazság hirdetőjét, akit nyolcadmagával megőrzött, amikor özönvizet bocsátott az istentelenek világára.

És [ha] a régi világnak sem kedvezett, de Nóét az igazság hirdetőjét, nyolczad magával megőrizte, özönvízzel borítván el az istentelenek világát;

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

dacă n-a cruţat El lumea veche, ci a scăpat pe Noe, acest propovăduitor al neprihănirii, împreună cu alţi şapte inşi, când a trimis potopul peste o lume de nelegiuiţi;

if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Sodoma és Gomora városait elhamvasztva pusztulásra ítélte, hogy példát állítson azoknak, akik majd istentelenkedni fognak.

És [ha] Sodoma és Gomora városait elhamvasztotta, végromlásra kárhoztatta, például tévén azokra nézve, a kik istentelenkedni fognak;

And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

dacă a osândit El la pieire şi a prefăcut în cenuşă cetăţile Sodoma şi Gomora, ca să slujească de pildă celor ce vor trăi în nelegiuire,

if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;

Megszabadította az igaz Lótot, aki szenvedett az istentelenek gyalázatos viselkedése miatt,

És [ha] megszabadította az igaz Lótot, a ki az istenteleneknek fajtalanságban való forgolódása miatt elfáradt;

And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

şi dacă a scăpat pe neprihănitul Lot, care era foarte întristat de viaţa destrăbălată a acestor stricaţi;

and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked

mert ő, az igaz, közöttük lakott, s a gonosz cselekedeteket látva és hallva napról napra gyötörte igaz lelkét.

(Mert amaz igaz, azok között lakván, a gonosz cselekedeteket látva és hallva, napról-napra gyötri vala az ő igaz lelkét):

(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

(căci neprihănitul acesta, care locuia în mijlocul lor, îşi chinuia în toate zilele sufletul lui neprihănit, din pricina celor ce vedea şi auzea din faptele lor nelegiuite)

(for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard);

Az Úr meg tudja szabadítani a kegyeseket a kísértésekből, a gonoszokat pedig megtartja az ítélet napjára, hogy bűnhődjenek.

Meg tudja szabadítani az Úr a kegyeseket a kísértésekből, a gonoszokat pedig az ítélet napjára büntetésre fenntartani.

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

înseamnă că Domnul ştie să izbăvească din încercare pe oamenii cucernici şi să păstreze pe cei nelegiuiţi, ca să fie pedepsiţi în ziua judecăţii:

then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,

Különösen azokat, akik a testet követve tisztátalan vágyaikban járnak, és az Úr hatalmát megvetik. Vakmerők, elbizakodottak, akik attól sem rettennek vissza, hogy dicsőséges hatalmakat káromoljanak,

Főképen pedig azokat, a kik a testet követvén, tisztátalan kívánságban járnak, és a hatalmasságot megvetik. Vakmerők, magoknak kedveskedők, a kik a méltóságokat káromolni nem rettegnek:

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

mai ales pe cei ce, în pofta lor necurată, umblă poftind trupul altuia şi dispreţuiesc stăpânirea. Ca nişte îndrăzneţi şi încăpăţânaţi ce sunt, ei nu se tem să batjocorească dregătoriile,

and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones,

holott még az angyalok sem szólnak azok ellen az Úr előtt káromló ítéletet, pedig azok erőre és hatalomra nézve nagyobbak.

Holott az angyalok, a kik erőre és hatalomra nézve nagyobbak, nem szólnak azok ellen az Úr előtt káromló ítéletet.

Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

pe când îngerii, care sunt mai mari în tărie şi putere, nu aduc înaintea Domnului nicio judecată batjocoritoare împotriva lor.

whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord.

De ezek – mint oktalan állatok, amelyek természetük szerint elejtésre és elpusztításra valók – azokat káromolják, amiket nem ismernek, és azoknak pusztulásával fognak elpusztulni,

De ezek, mint oktalan természeti állatok, a melyek megfogatásra és elpusztításra valók, azokat, a miket nem ismernek, káromolván, azoknak pusztulásával fognak el is pusztulni,

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction,

megkapva gonoszságuk bérét. Ezek gyönyörűségnek tartják a naponkénti tobzódást; szennyfoltok és szégyenfoltok, akik kéjelegnek csalárdságukban, amikor együtt lakmároznak veletek.

Megkapván gonoszságuk díját, mint a kik gyönyörűségnek tartják a naponkénti dobzódást; undokságok és fertelmek, a kik kéjelegnek az ő csalárdságukban, mikor együtt lakmároznak veletek;

And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

şi îşi vor lua astfel plata cuvenită pentru nelegiuirea lor. Fericirea lor este să trăiască în plăceri ziua în amiaza mare. Ca nişte întinaţi şi spurcaţi, se pun pe chefuit la mesele lor de dragoste, când ospătează împreună cu voi.

suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you.

Szemük parázna vággyal van tele, nem szűnnek meg vétkezni, elcsábítják az ingatag lelkeket, szívük gyakorlott a kapzsiságban, átok gyermekei.

A kiknek szemei paráznasággal telvék, bűnnel telhetetlenek; elhitetik az állhatatlan lelkeket, szívök gyakorlott a telhetetlenségben, átok gyermekei;

Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

Le scapără ochii de preacurvie şi nu se satură de păcătuit. Momesc sufletele nestatornice, au inima deprinsă la lăcomie, sunt nişte blestemaţi!

They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children!

Elhagyták az egyenes utat, eltévelyedtek, és követték Bálámnak, Beór fiának az útját, aki a gonoszság bérét kedvelte,

A kik elhagyván az egyenes útat, eltévelyedtek, követvén Bálámnak, Bosor fiának útját, a ki a gonoszság díját kedvelte.

Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

După ce au părăsit calea cea dreaptă, au rătăcit şi au urmat calea lui Balaam, fiul lui Bosor, care a iubit plata fărădelegii.

Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing,

de aki vétkéért feddést kapott: egy igavonó néma állat emberi szóval szólva megakadályozta a próféta esztelenségét.

De megfeddetett az ő törvénytelenségéért: egy igavonó néma állat emberi szóval szólván, megakadályozta a próféta esztelenségét.

But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

Dar a fost mustrat aspru pentru călcarea lui de lege: o măgăriţă necuvântătoare, care a început să vorbească cu glas omenesc, a pus frâu nebuniei prorocului.

but was rebuked for his own transgression; a speechless donkey spoke with human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.

These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

Oamenii aceştia sunt nişte fântâni fără apă, nişte nori alungaţi de furtună; lor le este păstrată negura întunericului.

These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved.

Fellengzős, üres szólamokat hangoztatva kicsapongásaikkal testi kívánságaik kielégítésére csábítják azokat, akik még alig szakadtak el a tévelygésben élőktől,

Mert hiábavalóság kevély [szavait] szólván, testi kívánsággal, bujálkodással elhitetik azokat, a kik valóban elszakadtak a tévelygésben élőktől,

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

Ei vorbesc cu trufie lucruri de nimic, momesc, cu poftele cărnii şi cu desfrânări, pe cei ce de abia au scăpat de cei ce trăiesc în rătăcire.

For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error.

szabadságot ígérnek nekik, holott ők maguk a romlottság szolgái, mert mindenki rabja lesz annak, ami legyőzte.

Szabadságot ígérvén azoknak, holott ők magok a romlottság szolgái; mert a kit valaki legyőzött, az annak szolgájává lett.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Le făgăduiesc slobozenia, în timp ce ei înşişi sunt robi ai stricăciunii. Căci fiecare este robul lucrului de care este biruit.

They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.

Mert ha az Úrnak és az Üdvözítő Jézus Krisztusnak megismerése által a világ förtelmeitől egyszer már megszabadultak, de ezekbe ismét belekeveredve vereséget szenvednek, utolsó állapotuk rosszabb lesz az elsőnél.

Mert ha az Úrnak, a megtartó Jézus Krisztusnak megismerése által a világ fertelmeit elkerülték, de ezekbe ismét belekeveredve legyőzetnek, az ő utolsó állapotjuk gonoszabbá lett az elsőnél.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

În adevăr, dacă, după ce au scăpat de întinăciunile lumii, prin cunoaşterea Domnului şi Mântuitorului nostru Isus Hristos, se încurcă iarăşi şi sunt biruiţi de ele, starea lor de pe urmă se face mai rea decât cea dintâi.

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

Mert jobb volna nekik, ha meg sem ismerték volna az igazság útját, mint hogy azt megismerve elforduljanak a nekik adott szent parancsolattól.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

Ar fi fost mai bine pentru ei să nu fi cunoscut calea neprihănirii, decât, după ce au cunoscut-o, să se întoarcă de la porunca sfântă care le fusese dată.

For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

De betelt rajtuk az igaz példabeszéd: Az eb visszatért a saját okádására, és a megfürdött disznó a sárban hempereg.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Cu ei s-a întâmplat ce spune zicala adevărată: „Câinele s-a întors la ce vărsase” şi „scroafa spălată s-a întors să se tăvălească iarăşi în mocirlă.”

What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”
