Szedd össze magadat, és eszmélj föl, te arcátlan nemzet,

Térjetek eszetekre, s eszméljetek fel, ti, arczátlan nemzet,

Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

Veniţi-vă în fire şi cercetaţi-vă, neam fără ruşine,

Gather together, yes, gather, O shameless nation,

mielőtt bekövetkezik a végzés – mint a polyva, úgy száll tova az a nap –, amíg rátok nem tör az ÚR haragjának tüze, amíg rátok nem tör az ÚR haragjának napja!

Mielőtt szűlne a végzés (mint a polyva száll tova az a nap!); míg rátok nem jön az Úr haragjának tüze, míg rátok nem jön az Úr haragjának napja!

Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come upon you.

până nu se împlineşte hotărârea – ca pleava trece vremea – până nu vine peste voi mânia aprinsă a Domnului, până nu vine peste voi ziua mâniei Domnului!

before the decree takes effect —before the day passes away like chaff— before there comes upon you the burning anger of the LORD, before there comes upon you the day of the anger of the LORD.

Keressétek az URat mind, akik alázatosak vagytok e földön, akik az ő törvénye szerint cselekedtek. Keressétek az igazságot, keressétek az alázatosságot, talán oltalmat találtok az ÚR haragjának napján!

Keressétek az Urat mindnyájan e föld alázatosai, a kik az ő ítélete szerint cselekesztek; keressétek az igazságot, keressétek az alázatosságot: talán megoltalmaztattok az Úr haragjának napján!

Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.

Căutaţi pe Domnul, toţi cei smeriţi din ţară, care împliniţi poruncile Lui! Căutaţi dreptatea, căutaţi smerenia! Poate că veţi fi cruţaţi în ziua mâniei Domnului.

Seek the LORD, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the LORD.

Mert elhagyottá lesz Gáza, Askelón pedig pusztasággá. Az asdódiakat délidőben űzik el, Ekrónt pedig kiirtják.

Mert elhagyottá lesz Gáza, Askelon pedig pusztasággá; Asdódot délben űzik el, és Ekron kiirtatik.

For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.

Căci Gaza va fi părăsită, Ascalonul va fi pustiit, poporul din Asdod va fi izgonit ziua în amiaza mare, şi Ecronul va fi smuls din rădăcini.

For Gaza shall be deserted, and Ashkelon shall become a desolation; Ashdod’s people shall be driven out at noon, and Ekron shall be uprooted.

Jaj a tenger partvidékén lakóknak, a kereteusok nemzetének! Ez az ÚR szava ellened, Kánaán, filiszteusok földje: Elpusztítalak, lakatlanná leszel!

Jaj a tenger vidékén lakóknak, a Kereteusok nemzetségének! Az Úr igéje ellened van, te Kanaán, Filiszteusok földje; elpusztítalak téged, lakatlanná leszel.

Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

Vai de locuitorii de pe malurile mării, vai de neamul cheretiţilor! Aşa a vorbit Domnul împotriva ta, Canaane, ţara filistenilor: „Te voi nimici, şi nu vei mai avea locuitori!”

Woe to you inhabitants of the seacoast, you nation of the Cherethites! The word of the LORD is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines; and I will destroy you until no inhabitant is left.

A tenger partvidéke pedig legelővé, pásztorok tanyájává és juhok aklává lesz.

És a tenger vidéke legelőkké, pásztorok tanyáivá és juhoknak aklaivá lészen.

And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.

Malurile mării vor ajunge izlazuri de păşunat, locuinţe pentru păstori şi târle de oi.

And you, O seacoast, shall be pastures, with meadows for shepherds and folds for flocks.

Ez a vidék Júda házának maradékáé lesz, ők legeltetnek azon. Estére Askelón házaiban heverésznek, mert az ÚR, az ő Istenük gondozza őket, és jóra fordítja sorsukat.

És [az a] vidék a Júda házának maradékáé lesz, ők legeltetnek azon; estére Askelon házaiban heverésznek, mert meglátogatja őket az Úr, az ő Istenök, és visszahozza az ő foglyaikat.

And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.

Malurile acestea vor fi pentru rămăşiţele casei lui Iuda; acolo vor paşte; se vor odihni seara în casele Ascalonului; căci Domnul Dumnezeul lor nu-i va uita şi va aduce înapoi pe prinşii lor de război.

The seacoast shall become the possession of the remnant of the house of Judah, on which they shall graze, and in the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. For the LORD their God will be mindful of them and restore their fortunes.

Hallottam Móáb gyalázkodását és Ammón fiainak szidalmait, amelyekkel gyalázták népemet, és fölfuvalkodva tekintettek az ő határukra.

Hallottam Moáb gyalázkodását és Ammon fiainak szidalmait, a melyekkel gyalázták népemet, és felfuvalkodtak az ő határok ellen.

I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.

„Am auzit ocările Moabului şi batjocurile copiilor lui Amon, când defăimau pe poporul Meu şi se ridicau cu trufie împotriva hotarelor lor.

“I have heard the taunts of Moab and the revilings of the Ammonites, how they have taunted my people and made boasts against their territory.

Azért, élek én – ezt mondja a Seregek URa, Izráel Istene –, hogy Móáb olyan lesz, mint Sodoma, Ammón fiai pedig, mint Gomora: gyomot termő föld, sógödör és pusztaság örökre. Kifosztja őket népem maradéka, és nemzetem maradékának tulajdonába kerülnek.

Azért élek én, mond a Seregeknek Ura, Izráelnek Istene, hogy Moáb olyanná lészen, mint Sodoma, Ammon fiai pedig, mint Gomora: tövistermő föld, só-telep és pusztaság örökre; népem maradéka prédálja fel őket, és nemzetségem ivadékai bírják majd őket.

Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.

De aceea, pe viaţa Mea, zice Domnul oştirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel, că Moabul va fi ca Sodoma, şi copiii lui Amon, ca Gomora: un loc acoperit cu mărăcini, o groapă de sare, un pustiu veşnic; rămăşiţa poporului Meu îi va jefui, rămăşiţa neamului Meu îi va stăpâni.”

Therefore, as I live,” declares the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, “Moab shall become like Sodom, and the Ammonites like Gomorrah, a land possessed by nettles and salt pits, and a waste forever. The remnant of my people shall plunder them, and the survivors of my nation shall possess them.”

Ez esik meg rajtuk kevélységük miatt, amiért gyalázkodtak és fölfuvalkodtak a Seregek URának népe ellen.

Ez [esik meg] rajtok az ő kevélységökért, a miért gyalázkodtak és felfuvalkodtak a Seregek Urának népe ellen.

This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts.

Lucrul acesta li se va întâmpla pentru mândria lor, pentru că au batjocorit şi au fost semeţi cu poporul Domnului oştirilor.

This shall be their lot in return for their pride, because they taunted and boasted against the people of the LORD of hosts.

Rettenetes lesz az ÚR velük, mert éhhalállal sújtja a föld minden istenét, és akkor neki hódol majd mindenki a maga lakhelyén, a népek minden szigete.

Rettenetes lesz az Úr ellenök, mert elfogyatja a földnek minden istenét, és néki hódol majd kiki a maga lakhelyén, a pogányoknak is minden szigete.

The LORD will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

Domnul va fi grozav împotriva lor, căci va nimici pe toţi dumnezeii pământului; şi fiecare se va închina înaintea Lui în ţara lui, în toate ostroavele neamurilor.

The LORD will be awesome against them; for he will famish all the gods of the earth, and to him shall bow down, each in its place, all the lands of the nations.

Ti is, kúsiak! Fegyverem sebez meg benneteket.

Ye Ethiopians also, ye shall be slain by my sword.

„Chiar şi voi, etiopienilor, veţi fi străpunşi cu sabia Mea.”

You also, O Cushites, shall be slain by my sword.

Kinyújtja kezét észak felé, és elveszíti Asszíriát, Ninivét pusztasággá teszi, kietlenné, mint egy sivatag.

And he will stretch out his hand against the north, and destroy Assyria; and will make Nineveh a desolation, and dry like a wilderness.

Nyájak heverésznek a közepén, mindenféle állatok serege: pelikán és bagoly alszik oszlopain, az ablakban hallatszik a hanguk. Omladék borítja a küszöböket, mert lefoszlott a cédrusburkolat!

És nyájak heverésznek bensejében, mindenféle állatok serege: pelikán és sündisznó hálnak párkányain, az ablakban [azoknak] szava hangzik, a küszöbön omladék lészen, mert lefosztatott a czédrus!

And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in the upper lintels of it; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds; for he shall uncover the cedar work.

În mijlocul cetăţii se vor culca turme de vite de tot felul; pelicanul şi ariciul vor rămâne noaptea pe acoperişurile stâlpilor ei. La ferestre se vor auzi ţipetele lor, pustiirea va fi în prag, căci căptuşeala de cedru va fi scoasă.

Herds shall lie down in her midst, all kinds of beasts; even the owl and the hedgehog shall lodge in her capitals; a voice shall hoot in the window; devastation will be on the threshold; for her cedar work will be laid bare.

Ez lett a víg város, a biztonságban lakozó, amely azt mondta szívében: Én vagyok, és rajtam kívül nincs más! Milyen pusztasággá lett, vadak tanyájává: aki csak keresztülmegy rajta, mind fölszisszen, és a kezével int.

Ímé, a víg város, a bátorságban lakozó, a mely ezt mondja vala szívében: Én vagyok és nincs kívülem más! milyen pusztasággá lőn, vadak tanyájává, a ki átmegy rajta, mind süvöltöz és csapkodja kezét.

This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

Iată, dar, cetatea aceea veselă, care stătea plină de încredere şi zicea în inima ei: „Eu şi niciuna afară de mine!” Vai! cum s-a prefăcut în pustiu şi în culcuş de fiare! Toţi cei ce trec pe lângă ea fluieră şi arată cu mâna!

This is the exultant city that lived securely, that said in her heart, “I am, and there is no one else.” What a desolation she has become, a lair for wild beasts! Everyone who passes by her hisses and shakes his fist.
