Dárius király második esztendejének hatodik hónapjában, a hónap első napján így szólt az ÚR Haggeus próféta által Zerubbábelhez, Sealtiél fiához, Júda helytartójához és Jósua főpaphoz, Jócádák fiához:

Dárius király második esztendejének hatodik hónapjában, a hónapnak első napján szóla az Úr Aggeus próféta által Zorobábelnek, a Sealtiél fiának, Júda fejedelmének, és Jósuának, a Jehosadák fiának, a főpapnak, mondván:

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

În anul al doilea al împăratului Darius, în ziua întâi a lunii a şasea, cuvântul Domnului a vorbit prin prorocul Hagai către Zorobabel, fiul lui Şealtiel, dregătorul lui Iuda, şi către Iosua, fiul lui Ioţadac, marele preot, astfel:

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came by the hand of Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest:

„Így szól a Seregek URa: Azt mondja ez a nép: Nem jött még el az idő, az ÚR háza építésének ideje!

Így szól a Seregeknek Ura, mondván: Ezt mondja e nép: Nem jött még el az idő, az Úr háza építésének ideje!

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.

„Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: „Poporul acesta zice: „N-a venit încă vremea pentru zidirea din nou a Casei Domnului!”

“Thus says the LORD of hosts: These people say the time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the LORD.”

Az ÚR szava pedig így szólt Haggeus próféta által:

Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

De aceea, cuvântul Domnului le-a vorbit prin prorocul Hagai astfel:

Then the word of the LORD came by the hand of Haggai the prophet,

Hát annak itt van az ideje, hogy ti faburkolatú házakban lakjatok, holott ez a ház romokban áll?

Ideje-é néktek, hogy ti mennyezetes házakban lakozzatok, holott ez a ház romban áll?

Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?

„Dar pentru voi a venit oare vremea să locuiţi în case căptuşite cu tavan, când Casa aceasta este dărâmată?”

“Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins?

Most azért azt mondja a Seregek URa: Jól gondoljátok meg útjaitokat!

Most azért ezt mondja a Seregeknek Ura: Gondoljátok meg jól a ti útaitokat!

Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

Aşa vorbeşte acum Domnul oştirilor: „Uitaţi-vă cu băgare de seamă la căile voastre!

Now, therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.

Sokat vetettetek, de keveset takarítotok be. Esztek, de nem elégedtek meg. Isztok, de nem részegedtek meg. Ruházkodtok, de nem melegedtek föl. A napszámos is lyukas zacskóba teszi a bérét.

Sokat vetettetek, de keveset takartok; esztek, de meg nem elégesztek; isztok, de meg nem részegesztek; ruházkodtok, de meg nem melegesztek, a bérlő is lyukas zacskóra bérel.

Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

Semănaţi mult, şi strângeţi puţin, mâncaţi, şi tot nu vă săturaţi, beţi, şi tot nu vă potoliţi setea, vă îmbrăcaţi, şi tot nu vă este cald; şi cine câştigă o simbrie o pune într-o pungă spartă!”

You have sown much, and harvested little. You eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm. And he who earns wages does so to put them into a bag with holes.

Azt mondja a Seregek URa: Jól gondoljátok meg útjaitokat!

Ezt mondja a Seregeknek Ura: Gondoljátok meg jól a ti útaitokat!

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: „Uitaţi-vă cu băgare de seamă la căile voastre!

“Thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.

Menjetek föl a hegyre, hordjatok fát, és építsétek föl e házat, hogy gyönyörködjem benne, és megdicsőíttessem – ezt mondja az ÚR.

Menjetek fel a hegyre, és hordjatok fát, és építsétek e házat, hogy gyönyörködjem benne, és dicsőíttessem, azt mondja az Úr.

Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

Suiţi-vă pe munte, aduceţi lemne şi zidiţi Casa! Eu Mă voi bucura de lucrul acesta şi voi fi proslăvit, zice Domnul.

Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, says the LORD.

Sokat vártok, de íme, kevés lesz, s amit hazahordotok, én szétfújom! Miért? – kérdezi a Seregek URa. Az én házamért, amely íme, romokban áll, ti pedig mind a magatok háza körül sürgölődtök.

Sokat vártatok, de ímé kevés lett; haza is hordtátok, de én ráfuvallok arra! Mi okért? azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura. Az én házamért, a mely ím romban áll, ti pedig siettek, kiki a maga házához.

Ye looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.

Vă aşteptaţi la mult, şi iată că aţi avut puţin; l-aţi adus acasă, dar Eu l-am suflat. Pentru ce? – zice Domnul oştirilor. Din pricina Casei Mele care stă dărâmată, pe când fiecare din voi aleargă pentru casa lui.

You looked for much, and behold, it came to little. And when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why? declares the LORD of hosts. Because of my house that lies in ruins, while each of you busies himself with his own house.

Ezért vonta meg tőletek harmatát az ég, és vonta meg termését a föld.

Azért vonták meg tőletek az egek a harmatot, vonta meg a föld az ő termését.

Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.

De aceea, cerurile nu v-au dat roua, şi pământul nu şi-a dat roadele.

Therefore the heavens above you have withheld the dew, and the earth has withheld its produce.

Szárazságot rendeltem a földre és a hegyekre, a búzára és a borra, az olajra és mindarra, amit a föld terem, sőt az emberre, állatra és minden kétkezi munkára is.”

És pusztulást rendeltem a [sík] földre és a hegyekre, a búzára és a borra, az olajra és mindarra, a mit a föld terem; sőt az emberre és a baromra és minden kézimunkára is.

And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

Am chemat seceta peste ţară, peste munţi, peste grâu, peste must, peste untdelemn, peste tot ce poate aduce pământul, peste oameni şi peste vite şi peste tot lucrul mâinilor voastre.”

And I have called for a drought on the land and the hills, on the grain, the new wine, the oil, on what the ground brings forth, on man and beast, and on all their labors.”

Akkor hallgatott Zerubbábel, Sealtiél fia, Jósua főpap, Jócádák fia és a megmaradt nép az ÚRnak, az ő Istenüknek szavára, Haggeus próféta beszédeire, amiért elküldte őt az ÚR, az ő Istenük, és félelem fogta el a népet az ÚR előtt.

És meghallá Zorobábel, a Sealtiél fia, és Jósua, a Jehosadák fia, a főpap, és a nép minden többi [tag]ja az Úrnak, az ő Istenöknek szavát és Aggeus próféta beszédeit, a miként elküldte őt az Úr, az ő Istenök, és megfélemlék a nép az Úr előtt.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.

Zorobabel, fiul lui Şealtiel, Iosua, fiul lui Ioţadac, marele preot, şi toată rămăşiţa poporului au ascultat glasul Domnului Dumnezeului lor şi cuvintele prorocului Hagai, fiindcă Domnul Dumnezeul lor îl trimisese. Şi poporul s-a temut de Domnul.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him. And the people feared the LORD.

Akkor Haggeus, az ÚR követe így szólt a néphez az ÚR küldetésében: Én veletek vagyok! – azt mondja az ÚR.

És szóla Aggeus, az Úr követe, az Úr küldetésében, mondván a népnek: Én veletek vagyok, azt mondja az Úr.

Then spake Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.

Hagai, trimisul Domnului, a zis poporului, după porunca Domnului: „Eu sunt cu voi, zice Domnul.”

Then Haggai, the messenger of the LORD, spoke to the people with the LORD’s message, “I am with you, declares the LORD.”

És fölindította az ÚR Zerubbábelnek, Sealtiél fiának, Júda helytartójának a lelkét, Jósua főpapnak, Jócádák fiának a lelkét és az egész megmaradt nép lelkét is, úgyhogy nekiálltak, és dolgozni kezdtek a Seregek URának, az ő Istenüknek házán

És felindítá az Úr Zorobábelnek, a Sealtiél fiának, a Júda fejedelmének lelkét, és Jósuának, a Jehosadák fiának, a főpapnak lelkét, és a nép minden többi [tag]jának lelkét is, és bemenének és munkálkodának a Seregek Urának, az ő Istenöknek házában.

And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

Domnul a trezit duhul lui Zorobabel, fiul lui Şealtiel, dregătorul lui Iuda, şi duhul lui Iosua, fiul lui Ioţadac, marele preot, şi duhul întregii rămăşiţe a poporului. Aşa că ei au venit şi s-au pus pe lucru în Casa Domnului oştirilor, Dumnezeul lor,

And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people. And they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
