Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

És megzendül az ÚR szava serege előtt, mert igen nagy az ő tábora, hatalmas az ő rendeletének végrehajtója. Bizony nagy az ÚR napja, és igen rettenetes! Ki állhat meg akkor?

And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

The LORD utters his voice before his army, for his camp is exceedingly great; he who executes his word is powerful. For the day of the LORD is great and very awesome; who can endure it?

Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

“Yet even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;

Szíveteket szaggassátok meg, ne a ruháitokat, úgy térjetek meg az ÚRhoz, a ti Istenetekhez! Mert könyörületes és irgalmas ő, késedelmes a haragra, nagy kegyelmű, és bánkódik a veszedelem miatt.

And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?

Cine ştie dacă nu Se va întoarce şi nu Se va căi? Cine ştie dacă nu va lăsa după El o binecuvântare, daruri de mâncare şi jertfe de băutură pentru Domnul Dumnezeul vostru?

Who knows whether he will not turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind him, a grain offering and a drink offering for the LORD your God?

Gyűjtsétek össze a népet, szenteljétek meg a gyülekezetet! Hívjátok össze a véneket, gyűjtsétek össze a kisdedeket és a csecsszopókat! Jöjjön ki szobájából a vőlegény és kamrájából a menyasszony!

Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

Strângeţi poporul, ţineţi o adunare sfântă! Aduceţi pe bătrâni, strângeţi copiii şi chiar pruncii de la ţâţă! Să iasă mirele din cămara lui şi mireasa din odaia ei!

gather the people. Consecrate the congregation; assemble the elders; gather the children, even nursing infants. Let the bridegroom leave his room, and the bride her chamber.

A templomcsarnok és az oltár között sírjanak a papok, az ÚR szolgái, és ezt mondják: Légy kegyelmes, URam, népedhez, és ne engedd, hogy szidják örökségedet! Ne példálózzanak velünk a pogányok! Miért mondanák a népek között: Hol van az ő Istenük?

Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?

Preoţii, slujitorii Domnului, să plângă între tindă şi altar şi să zică: „Doamne, îndură-Te de poporul Tău! Nu da de ocară moştenirea Ta, n-o face de batjocura popoarelor! Pentru ce să se zică printre neamuri: „Unde este Dumnezeul lor?”

Between the vestibule and the altar let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep and say, “Spare your people, O LORD, and make not your heritage a reproach, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’”

Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.

Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

Domnul a răspuns şi a zis poporului Său: „Iată, vă trimit grâu, must şi untdelemn proaspăt, ca să vă săturaţi de ele, şi nu vă voi mai face de ocară între neamuri.

The LORD answered and said to his people, “Behold, I am sending to you grain, wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied; and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations.

“I will remove the northerner far from you, and drive him into a parched and desolate land, his vanguard into the eastern sea, and his rear guard into the western sea; the stench and foul smell of him will rise, for he has done great things.

Ne féljetek, ti mezei vadak, mert zöldülnek a puszta legelői! A fák megtermik gyümölcsüket, a füge és szőlő is kitárja gazdagságát.

Ne féljetek, ti mezei vadak! mert zöldülnek a pusztának virányai; mert a fa megtermi gyümölcsét; a füge és szőlő is kitárják gazdagságukat.

Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

Nu vă temeţi, fiare de pe câmp, căci izlazurile pustiului iarăşi vor înverzi, pomii îşi vor da roadele, smochinul şi viţa îşi vor da rodul lor.

Fear not, you beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness are green; the tree bears its fruit; the fig tree and vine give their full yield.

Ti is, Sionnak fiai, örvendezzetek és vigadjatok az ÚRban, a ti Istenetekben, mert megadja nektek az esőt igazság szerint: korai és késői esőt hullat rátok, mint kezdetben.

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

Şi voi, copii ai Sionului, bucuraţi-vă şi înveseliţi-vă în Domnul Dumnezeul vostru, căci El vă va da ploaie la vreme, vă va trimite ploaie timpurie şi târzie, ca odinioară.

“Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before.

And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

Bőségesen ehettek majd, és megelégedtek. És magasztaljátok az ÚRnak, a ti Isteneteknek nevét, aki csodálatosan cselekedett veletek, és soha többé nem kell pironkodnia az én népemnek.

És esztek bőven és megelégesztek, és magasztaljátok az Úrnak, a ti Isteneteknek nevét, a ki csodálatosan cselekedett veletek, és soha többé nem pironkodik az én népem.

And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Akkor megtudjátok, hogy én Izráel között vagyok, és hogy én vagyok az ÚR, a ti Istenetek, és nincs más! Soha többé nem kell pironkodnia az én népemnek.

And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God and there is none else. And my people shall never again be put to shame.

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

După aceea voi turna Duhul Meu peste orice făptură; fiii şi fiicele voastre vor proroci, bătrânii voştri vor visa vise, şi tinerii voştri vor avea vedenii.

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.

And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.

De megmenekül mindenki, aki segítségül hívja az ÚR nevét. Mert a Sion hegyén és Jeruzsálemben lesz a szabadulás, ahogyan megígérte az ÚR, és a megszabadultak között lesznek azok, akiket elhív az ÚR!

De mindaz, a ki az Úrnak nevét hívja segítségül, megmenekül; mert a Sion hegyén és Jeruzsálemben lészen a szabadulás, a mint megigérte az Úr, és a megszabadultak közt lesznek azok, a kiket elhí az Úr!

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Atunci oricine va chema Numele Domnului va fi mântuit. Căci mântuirea va fi pe muntele Sionului şi la Ierusalim, cum a făgăduit Domnul, şi între cei rămaşi pe care-i va chema Domnul.

And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the LORD has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the LORD calls.
