Vének, halljátok ezt, és figyeljen a föld minden lakója! Történt-e ilyen a ti időtökben vagy a ti atyáitok idejében?

Vének! halljátok meg ezt, és hallgassátok meg, e földnek minden lakói! Történt-é ilyen a ti időtökben, vagy a ti atyáitoknak idejében?

Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

Ascultaţi lucrul acesta, bătrâni! Şi luaţi seama, toţi locuitorii ţării! S-a întâmplat aşa ceva pe vremea voastră sau pe vremea părinţilor voştri?

Hear this, you elders; give ear, all inhabitants of the land! Has such a thing happened in your days, or in the days of your fathers?

Beszéljétek el fiaitoknak, és fiaitok beszéljék el az ő fiaiknak és azoknak fiai a következő nemzedéknek!

Beszéljétek el azt a ti fiaitoknak, és a ti fiaitok az ő fiaiknak, és azoknak fiai a következő nemzetségnek.

Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.

Povestiţi copiilor voştri despre lucrul acesta, şi copiii voştri să povestească la copiii lor, iar copiii lor să povestească neamului de oameni care va urma!

Ébredjetek föl, részegesek, és sírjatok, jajgassatok mind, ti borivók, a mustért, mert elvétetett az a szátoktól!

Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.

Treziţi-vă, beţivilor, şi plângeţi! Văitaţi-vă, toţi cei ce beţi vin, căci vi s-a luat mustul de la gură!

Mert egy nép tört országomra, erős és megszámlálhatatlan. Fogai, mint az oroszlán fogai, és tépőfogai, mint a nőstény oroszláné.

For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

Căci în ţara mea a năvălit un popor puternic şi fără număr, cu dinţi de leu şi măsele de leoaică.

For a nation has come up against my land, powerful and beyond number; its teeth are lions’ teeth, and it has the fangs of a lioness.

Elpusztult a mező, gyászol a föld, mert elpusztult a gabona, kiszáradt a must, kiapadt az olaj.

The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth.

Câmpia este pustiită, pământul, întristat, căci grâul este nimicit, mustul a secat, untdelemnul nu mai este.

The fields are destroyed, the ground mourns, because the grain is destroyed, the wine dries up, the oil languishes.

Szégyenkezzetek, ti szántóvetők, jajgassatok, szőlőművesek a búzáért és az árpáért, mert elveszett a mezőn az aratnivaló!

Szégyenüljetek meg, ti szántóvetők; jajgassatok szőlőművesek: a búzáért és az árpáért; mert elveszett a mező aratása!

Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.

Înmărmuriţi, plugari, văitaţi-vă, vieri, din pricina grâului şi orzului, căci bucatele de pe câmp sunt pierdute.

Elszáradt a szőlőtő, elhervadt a fügefa. A gránátalmafa, a datolyafa és az almafa meg a mező minden gyümölcsfája kiszáradt. Bizony kiszáradt az öröm az emberek közül.

The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

Via este prăpădită, smochinul este veştejit, rodiul, finicul, mărul, toţi pomii de pe câmp s-au uscat… Şi s-a dus bucuria de la copiii oamenilor!

The vine dries up; the fig tree languishes. Pomegranate, palm, and apple, all the trees of the field are dried up, and gladness dries up from the children of man.

Öltsetek gyászruhát, és sírjatok, ti papok! Jajgassatok, ti oltár szolgái! Jöjjetek, és háljatok gyászruhában, Istenem szolgái, mert megszűnt az étel- és italáldozat Istenetek házában.

Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God.

Încingeţi-vă, preoţi, şi plângeţi! Bociţi-vă, slujitori ai altarului; veniţi şi petreceţi noaptea îmbrăcaţi cu saci, slujitori ai Dumnezeului meu! Căci au încetat darurile de mâncare şi jertfele de băutură din Casa Dumnezeului vostru.

Put on sackcloth and lament, O priests; wail, O ministers of the altar. Go in, pass the night in sackcloth, O ministers of my God! Because grain offering and drink offering are withheld from the house of your God.

Szenteljetek böjtöt, hirdessetek ünnepet! Gyűjtsétek össze a véneket, a föld minden lakosát az ÚRnak, a ti Isteneteknek házába, és kiáltsatok az ÚRhoz!

Szenteljetek bőjtöt, hirdessetek gyűlést; gyűjtsétek egybe a véneket, a földnek minden lakosát az Úrnak, a ti Isteneteknek házába, és kiáltsatok az Úrhoz.

Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,

Vestiţi un post, chemaţi o adunare de sărbătoare; strângeţi pe bătrâni, pe toţi locuitorii ţării, în Casa Domnului Dumnezeului vostru şi strigaţi către Domnul.

Consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly. Gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.

„Vai! ce zi!” Da, ziua Domnului este aproape, vine ca o pustiire de la Cel Atotputernic.

Hát nem a szemünk láttára veszett ki az élelem, az öröm és vigasság Istenünk házából?

Nu s-a prăpădit hrana sub ochii noştri? Şi n-a pierit bucuria şi veselia din Casa Dumnezeului nostru?

Elszáradt a mag a barázdákban, kiürültek a magtárak, összedőltek a csűrök, mert kiszáradt a gabona.

Elsenyvedtek a magvak barázdáik alatt, elpusztultak a gabonás házak, összedőltek a csűrök; mert kiaszott a gabona.

The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.

S-au uscat seminţele sub bulgări; grânarele stau goale, hambarele sunt stricate, căci s-a stricat semănătura!

The seed shrivels under the clods; the storehouses are desolate; the granaries are torn down because the grain has dried up.

Mint nyög a jószág! Nyugtalankodnak a marhacsordák, mert nincs legelőjük, bűnhődnek még a juhnyájak is!

How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.

Hozzád kiáltok, URam, mert tűz emésztette meg a puszta legelőit, és láng perzselte meg a mező minden fáját.

O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.

Către Tine, Doamne, strig, căci a mâncat focul izlazurile pustiului, şi para focului a pârlit toţi copacii de pe câmp!

To you, O LORD, I call. For fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and flame has burned all the trees of the field.

A mező állatai is szomjaznak téged, mert kiszáradtak a folyóvizek, és tűz emésztette meg a puszta legelőit.

A mező vadai is hozzád esengenek, mert kiszáradtak a vizeknek ágyai, és tűz emésztette meg a puszta virányait.

The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

Chiar şi fiarele câmpului se îndreaptă doritoare către Tine, căci au secat pâraiele şi a mâncat focul izlazurile pustiului.

Even the beasts of the field pant for you because the water brooks are dried up, and fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
